What if dreaming wasn’t about making a checklist for your future, but about opening your heart to what’s possible without pressure? On this episode, Rhonda shares her journey from feeling aimless to letting herself dream again, and invites you to practice the art of dreaming, no action required (yet!).

Today, we explore the gentle, powerful act of dreaming, without the weight of “shoulds” or pressure to make everything happen right now. Rhonda opens up about her own seasons of not having a dream, and what it means to let yourself imagine, even if you aren’t sure what you want, or if you’ll ever pursue it. From guitar lessons she never finished to dreams that come and go with the seasons of life, this episode is an invitation to let yourself be called forward by what nudges at your soul.

Whether you work in pictures or feelings, whether your dreams are clear or just a flicker, you don’t have to act or achieve to allow dreaming. Give yourself permission to relax your expectations, release the urge to hustle for every dream, and let dreaming be its own gentle skill. As Rhonda reminds us, some dreams are for now, some are for later, and some we’ll never pick up at all and that’s perfect.

If you’ve ever struggled with not knowing what you want, or have shamed yourself for the dreams still sitting quietly in the corner, this is your soft place to land. Let’s allow ourselves to dream, fearlessly.

What You’ll Discover

  • Why you don’t have to have a grand dream or pursue every idea that pops into your mind
  • The difference between “dreams for now” and “dreams for someday (or maybe never)”
  • How to allow yourself to dream whether through visuals, feelings, or daydreams and why none of it is wrong
  • Why not actualizing every dream is part of growth, not a failure
  • How releasing rigidity and expectation makes dreaming safe and joyful again
  • Gentle tools for relaxing into imagination, curiosity, and hope

Key Takeaway

Let yourself dream, without pressure, without hustle, without apology. Dreaming is a gift you can offer yourself, no strings attached.

Key Quote

“It’s not about fulfilling all dreams. Some dreams must die for a new dream to be birthed. Just allow yourself to dream, that’s a skill in and of itself.”

— Rhonda

Dream, dream, dream, dream, dream.
That's what we want to dotoday in Love Notes from Rhonda.
Hey, I'm Rhonda, and I want totalk about dreaming.
You know, some people don'thave dreams.
I was one of those people.

(00:34):
I went through a period of mylife where I didn't have a dream,
I didn't have a purpose, Ididn't know where I was going.
Sure, I had a dream about ahouse or a dream about a car.
You know, things that I wouldlike to have, but I didn't have a
dream in which to go for.
And then there was other timesin my life where I had a clear dream.
So I don't know if you'resomebody who allows yourself to dream

(00:57):
or not, or if you are somebodywho has dreams or if you get more
of a feeling sense about your future.
But today I want to talk about dreams.
Talk about your dreams.
So whether you're somebody whovisually sees things or have a feeling
sense of things or just goesaround the world and goes, ooh, I

(01:19):
like things based on yourexternal stimulation.
That's okay.
All of that supports you andI. Dreaming, dreams, dreams, dreaming.
Dreaming is lovely.
It is wonderful to be able todream about your future, about what's

(01:41):
moving through you, what'scoming up for you.
But dreaming without actionjust keeps things dreams and some
dreams.
I've had lots of dreams in mylife where it was a nice dream, but
I didn't really actually wantto make it come true.
I didn't want to put the timeand effort in.
It wasn't that needed andnecessary in my life.

(02:03):
It was a nice dream.
So, you know, I always wantedto play the guitar, and I've taken
guitar lessons over the yearshere and there, but.
But I've never sat down andreally put in a half hour of practice
every day.
It is a dream that isn't sourging me on that dream is nice.

(02:24):
I like the dream.
It's a beautiful dream, butit's not something I'm actualizing
in my life right now.
Maybe I will in two years, maybe I will in five.
And this is the key.
I don't beat myself up for that.
I don't judge myself.
I don't say, oh, it's so bad.
You've always wanted to playthe guitar.
God, Rhonda, no.

(02:44):
I'm just like, yeah, it justhasn't been a priority in my life.
I've got other dreams that aremy priorities.
So it's not about fulfillingall dreams, every dream, because
I also Think that some dreamshave to die in order for a new dream
to be birthed.
So your dream, let's talkabout it.

(03:07):
What is it that you dream of?
Dream of externally things tohave, and internally dream of who
you can be.
If you could dream, or if youdream, what does that dream look
like for you?

(03:27):
What dream would you like to fulfill?
What dream is calling you?
And maybe you don't think youknow how to fulfill it, or if you're
supposed to fulfill it.
What dream is nudging you?
What dream is nudging you?

(03:49):
What dream is nudging you?
What about this?
What about this?
What about this?
I want to express this.
I want to share this.
I want to be more of this.
What is calling you?
And again, you may not thinkof it as a dream.

(04:10):
You might think of it as a calling.
You might think of it as a vision.
You might think of it as anintention or goal.
But today, I just want you toallow dreaming to happen.
Don't put everything in therigid box of expectancy.
And I better do it if I have a dream.
I can't.
If I'm gonna have a dream, Igotta make it happen.

(04:32):
Nah, you don't just dream.
That is a skill in and ofitself to just be able to allow yourself
to dream.
If it's during the day, right?
You can even call it daydreaming.
And maybe they give you morepermission to allow your mind to
wander into possibilities.
Allow yourself to think the unexpected.

(04:54):
Allow yourself to look atother people's lives and go, huh?
What part of that life wouldI'd like to try on, if any?
Just walk around the world andallow yourself to dream.
Doesn't mean you have to doanything yet.
Just allow dreaming to happenthrough you and for you dream.

(05:20):
Allow the dream to unfold.
Until next time, be fearless.
I love you.
