Are you moving so fast you miss how you’re really feeling? In this episode, Rhonda Britten guides you to pause, breathe, and gently ask yourself the questions that bring you back to center. Learn how the art of self-reflection can help you regain your power, find inner calm, and create the life your soul intended.

How often do you race through your days, swept up in frustration, overwhelm, or confusion? Today, Rhonda invites you to slow down and rediscover the transformative practice of self-reflection. With compassion and truth, she breaks down what it means to pause, ask yourself honest questions, and connect with your true self, right here, right now.

In this episode, you’ll learn why stopping to reflect isn’t laziness, but courage. Rhonda shares her own journey from being lost in obsessive feelings, to finding “witness consciousness” that gentle, powerful awareness that lets you witness your thoughts, instead of being run by them. Through reflection, you reclaim your freedom from old patterns and step into deeper presence and possibility.

(00:14):
Welcome to Love Notes from Rhonda.
And today let's talk aboutself reflection.
Your willingness to stop andself reflect.
To ask yourself, how are you feeling?
How are you doing?
What are you thinking?
What works for you?
What doesn't work for you?

(00:34):
These questions are allreflection questions to help you
know who you are in any momentto find your center of gravity.
So it's okay to slow down andask these questions.
In your day, when you arehurried or confused or overwhelmed
or frustrated, it is okay tostop and self reflect.

(00:58):
Don't get caught in thefrustration or the overwhelm or the
procrastination or the anger.
Don't get caught in thosefeelings and believe those are the
thing that is true, that ismost true.
Again, take your power backand stop and ask yourself, huh?
What's going on that I'mfeeling this way?
What is it that I need right now?

(01:22):
What just happened?
What do I want to make happen?
Do I need to sit down?
Going slow is just, if notmore important than going fast, right?
Fast is about fear.
Fast has to make decisions quickly.
In order for fear to not getcaught, right?
We have to go fast, fast, fast, fast, fast, fast.

(01:43):
And don't get me wrong, thereare times to go fast.
But when we move too fastthrough a feeling or thought so fast
that we don't catch it,therefore don't change it, or don't
reflect on it, or don't stopand again, self reflect on it, think
about it to rethink it.

(02:04):
Then that thought, thatfeeling has us for minutes, hours,
days, months, years.
I mean, have you ever had abad moment turn into a bad year?
I have.
I didn't know how to harness myself.
I didn't know how to stop theobsessive feelings or thoughts.
I didn't know how to redirect myself.

(02:29):
Self reflection helps you do that.
Reflecting.
It's creating what I call andwhat others call witness consciousness.
I don't mean to imply that Imade witness consciousness up.
Witness consciousness is aword that's been handed down from

(02:50):
spiritual guru from spiritual guru.
And I was taught about witnessconsciousness and love.
Witness consciousness.
Witness consciousness is theability to self reflect in any moment.
Like you don't have to getinto the feeling or get into the

(03:10):
thought and and let it run youor own you.
Instead, you can stop for asecond and be the witness of the
feeling, be the witness of the thought.
It's almost like stepping outof yourself and seeing yourself from
a new perspective.
Somebody gets mad at you.

(03:30):
Can you be that witnessconsciousness and See that person?
Three dimension.
Four dimension.
Can you get beyond what you'refeeling and thinking?
Can you witness what is happening?
That's bigger than you, right?
Everything is bigger than youand I.
And oh, by the way, there'sonly one of us here, right?
That's the paradox.

(03:51):
So self reflection is a way out.
It's a way for us to stop anddecide to slow down enough to start
developing witness consciousness.
You've probably had moments ofwitness consciousness in the past
of when you are in a moment, but also watching the moment.

(04:14):
That's how it feels.
It's like you're totallypresent to what's happening, but
you can see everything goingon around you and you know what you're
feeling, thinking, you know everything.
And it's almost like I don'twant to say you know what they're
feeling and thinking, butyou're able to just be present with
whatever is you've experienced.
That I'm sure in millisecondsor moments or seconds or minutes

(04:35):
or hours, we all have in some way.
We just didn't know how to getback there.
Well, one of the ways to getback there is to slow down and actually
reflect.
Make reflection a part of yourdaily practice all throughout the
day.
Again, remember, reflectionallows us to take our power back.

(04:55):
And yes, we can breathe.
If we have no ability toreflect because our mind is racing
so much, we can't reflect.
Right?
We're just, ah, right.
That's the moment to take anice deep breath so we can get ourselves
centered.
Get our feet on the ground.
Get our feet on the ground,Stand on the ground.
So reflection and stopping fora minute and breathing allows us

(05:18):
to create and develop witness consciousness.
So I invite you just to allowthat to unfold today.
Don't think about it, don'tworry about it.
Just let it unfold.
Witness consciousness issomething you cultivate over time.
It's not something you get ina moment.
It's over time.
And together, you and I, overtime, you will experience witness

(05:40):
consciousness.
And when you do, there is afreedom of detachment that, well,
I.
You really don't take thingspersonally anymore.
Doesn't mean they don't hurt, right?
We're still human.
But you can see so much morethan your own hurt or pain or suffering.

(06:05):
So be attentive today.
Be willing to reflect untilnext time, be fearless.
I love you.
