(00:14):
Welcome to Love Notes from Rhonda.
And today we're going to talkabout your voice.
Yes, it's the day of voice.
Your voice.
And each one of us has a voice.
And this voice is a miracle.
And we can do so much with ourvoice and just think that voice is

(00:34):
your essence moving throughyour body to create sound so that
we can communicate with eachother in this human reality.
And yes, we can go into woowoo stuff and say we have a vibration
and we don't need words at all.
Sure, sure.
Yet if you're like me, hearingwords is incredibly awe inspiring

(00:59):
and beautiful and breathtakingand gosh, there's nothing better
than hearing beautiful wordscoming out of somebody's mouth directed
at you like I am right now.
And this voice.
Let's, let's, Let me, let mejust tell you how this amazing body

(01:22):
creates sound.
I mean, it's just amazing.
So this is what happens.
So when you want to speak, youclose your vocal folds and begin
to exhale, causing an increasein pressure that starts them vibrating.
The vibration of the vocalfolds chops the airflow, producing
a buzz like sound, whichdoesn't sound much like what we hear

(01:45):
when we listen to someone's voice.
Vocal folds symmetrically, regularly.
Our body allows us to havevoice that can be heard by others.

(02:08):
Our body gives a vehicle forour essence to be heard.
Our body gives us permissionand gives us all the tools we need
in order to express our true nature.
You have a voice, and thatvoice is yours and yours alone.

(02:33):
My voice is different thanyour voice.
Your voice is different thansomebody else.
Everybody's voice is different.
I was in Starbucks one timeand I was ordering a drink and a
woman.
I had my back, you know, backto people.
I was talking to the baristaand this woman was sitting behind

(02:54):
me.
She didn't see me, but sheheard me ordering and she yelled
out, is that Rhonda Britton?
She didn't have to see me.
She just heard my voice likeyou're hearing my voice right now.
You have a voice and thatvoice is carrying your essence out
into the world.

(03:15):
And your body gives you allthe tools, all the capacity to have
a voice.
I mean, we have folds, vocalfolds, and it vibrates and it allows
us to make sounds and sing andshout and cry and whisper.

(03:36):
Yeah, we have full controlover our voice.
We can whisper.
We can whisper sweet nothingsand beautiful words and just whisper
to each other.
You are magnificent.
And you are enough exactly asyou are.
There is nothing wrong with you.
Nothing at all.

(03:57):
Nothing wrong with you, whenever you think that or feel that
way, it's just a lie.
And it's just fear trying tokeep you safe.
And you get to say thank you, fear, and move on.
And we move from whisperingthose beautiful messages to ourselves.
And we can get louder and wecan get bolder and we get stronger,

(04:18):
and we can sing.
And we can sing even if youcan't sing.
Like my sister Linda, whocan't sing a note, but she sings
all the time, doesn't care ifshe's flat, tone deaf, doesn't matter.
She sings loud no matter what.
I love her for it.
So today, I want you to be inawe of this amazing thing called

(04:43):
your voice.
Your throat, your vocal cords.
Everything that it takes tomake sound is built into your body.
You didn't have to make it up.
You didn't have to decide.
You didn't have to go like, well, I guess I need some vocal cords.
No, they're just here now for you.
They were made for you to havea voice, to take that essence and

(05:05):
give it voice into the world.
Thank you, throat.
Thank you, vocal cords.
Thank you.
The breath that we breathe inorder to create that vibration, in
order to be heard.
So today I want you to payattention to that voice of yours,

(05:29):
that incredibly magnificentvoice of yours, and I want you to
practice using it.
And if you're scared to usewords yet, say everything that you
think or want to say, that's okay.
I just want you to know youhave a choice to if you want to.
And you can whisper and youcan shout and you can sing and you

(05:52):
can be right in the middle, you know, your inside voice or your
outside voice, right?
We'd say that to children.
Use your inside voice.
So today, let's be gratefulfor our voice.
We may or may not be using itto a full capacity.
And that's not the point.

(06:13):
The point is that we have avoice if we want to use it.
And it's available to us.
That, my friends, is a miracle.
So today, today, gratitude for voice.
When you speak, whisper aquick little gratitude.

(06:39):
Whisper and say, yes, I have avoice and I can choose any time whether
to use it.
And my body has given me this gift.
Until next time, be fearless.
I love you, Sa.
