SPEAKER_00 (00:02):
Do you as a spirit find yourself feeling
overwhelmed, stuck, or lost?

SPEAKER_01 (00:09):
What if I told you that there's more to it, that
there are benefits and resourcesfrom heaven that are available
to help you in this life, andyou've never heard about them?
Are you curious?
Well, join Gordon Merrill as hedigs deeper into making heaven
real in this life.

SPEAKER_00 (00:34):
Welcome back to Making Heaven Real.
Do you watch the news?
It's a loaded question, I know, but you know, when this old man
was growing up, there were onlybasically three channels and
three sources of news other thannewspaper or articles or

(00:56):
magazines, but now we'rebombarded with everything.
There's things called real news, fake news, artificial
intelligence news, sponsorednews, sensationalized news,
commentary, opinion, propaganda,etc.

(01:22):
Now with this program's absoluterule not to get into politics,
it's hard to discuss some of themotivations behind some of these
news sources.
Let's just say that what youconsider your news source has a
lot to do with a lot of thingsand how you were brought up.

(01:47):
Personally, my personal choice,I just don't watch news.
My wife used to say bad newstravels fast.
Watching news, especially now, almost seems like you're
preparing for a mission or amilitary deployment.

(02:09):
You have to actively watch it,challenge it in your mind,
determine if what you're seeingis even close to reality.
Then you end up doing researchto find out if what you're
watching is actually real ornot.
And basically, it getsoverwhelming.

(03:06):
I know that's easy to say andnot hard or not easy to live
with or abide by, but the bigthing is not to despair.
One of the things that I ranacross just this week, even had
it on a hanging on a wall infront of me when I walked by,
and it was the serenity prayer.

(03:29):
For those of you who don'tremember it, it's God grant me
the serenity to accept thethings I cannot change.
Courage to change the things Ican.
And wisdom to know thedifference.

(03:53):
That doesn't mean that that'sthe only place that that
applies.
So keeping the Serenity Prayerin mind, let's kind of review
some of the key points that wehave reviewed in each of the
previous episodes that bring usto this point.

(04:14):
You know, we are heavenlyspirits that have been put into
a human form and sent to thisearth for a human experience.
For that experience, we're hereto learn, to grow, and mature.

(04:34):
Early on, one of the things welearned about was heavenly
equity.
All of those things that heavenputs in place in order to answer
a prayer, meet a need, put us injust the right place to do the
right thing at the right time.

(04:56):
We also learned that the onlyway that we can stop or control
God is by our free will.
God has no limitations exceptour free will.
We are here on a pre-approvedlife's plan.

(05:21):
One that we approved before wecame here.
Because of that, we discussedhow there is no coincidence.
Everything we run into isplanned.
We've also discussed our spiritteam, how they're ready to help

(05:43):
at any turn.
Whether anything that we comeinto is pre-planned or not.
We also discussed how my wifewas removed early.
That wasn't a part of heroriginal plan.
It wasn't a part of my originalplan.
But we reviewed how the spiritteam jumped into action and took

(06:07):
care of both of us and both ofour life plans in order to
compensate so that we can moveforward.
And finally we talked about arewe feeding our spirit side or
are we feeding our human side?

(06:28):
And in that case, which one'swinning?
Given what we've learned overthe last few several episodes,
who do you expect would be theone resource to possess the
wisdom to know the difference?
Going back to our serenityprayer.

(06:53):
And what would you think wouldbe the most trustworthy resource
to be our best guide to lead usto change the things we can?
One of the things I ran intoyears ago, I think was actually

(07:15):
attributed to St.
Francis of Assisi was how do youeat an elephant?
One bite at a time.
On our current spiritualjourney, a lot of us started in
on this or were pushed into thisa little more devotedly after a

(07:39):
devastating loss in grief.
But on your journey and on ourspiritual awakening, do you find
that maybe some of the closelyheld beliefs that you had early
on have stopped working for you?

(08:04):
Things that you may have beentaught growing up don't provide
the complete picture anymore.
And without those missing piecesto complete that picture, do you
end up feeling scared becauseyou think you're alone?
I think over our last severalepisodes we've kind of proven

(08:26):
that's not true.
But also are you afraid torelinquish control to your
spirit team to do what is yoursto do.

(08:47):
That phrase in and of itself Ithink is very telling.
If you go by the phrase thatsays to do what is yours to do
indicates that somewhere someoneknows what you need to do.
We've already covered that.

(09:10):
We talk about how your spiritteam has your life's plan in
front of them.
They helped you create it beforeyou came here.
They know where you are on theplan and what's left to do, or
what is yours to do as thestatement says.

(11:20):
Don't just read them, don't justlook at them.
But the process of speaking themout loud has a greater effect.
So start your day each day withpositive affirmations and start
your day with positivity in mindand disregard the negative
influences, which gives you abrighter outlook on everything

(11:44):
that comes into your day.
How can you take control of whatcomes into your day?
Start each morning by askingyour spirit team to take
control.
Yes, I mentioned it a littlewhile ago.
Are you afraid to relinquishcontrol?
Most humans are.

(12:06):
Until you experience thatsomething else can do that for
you.
I think one of the things that'skind of interesting is if you've
ever been a student pilotlearning how to control an
aircraft.
If you're in a car, you haveleft and right, front and back

(12:30):
to worry about.
If you're in an airplane, youhave left and right, front and
back, and up and down.
More things going on, morethings in your mind, more things
to control.
When your license is on theline, when it's up to you to

(12:53):
safely control your aircraft,it's a little hard the first
couple times that you engageautopilot because you're not
sure that relinquishing thatcontrol can actually positively
affect your cockpit time, yourmental awareness, and keep you

(13:18):
on the proper flight plan.
After you do it several timesand prove that the autopilot
works properly on your aircraft,it's a whole different
situation.
Because you now know that thisbutton takes care of a lot of

(13:40):
things that normally would be alot of effort on my mind and on
my situational awareness thatnow I can relinquish some of
that to another control.
Again, we're back to aircraftanalogies.

(14:01):
But what happens when you takeyour situation and give the
control to your STC?
Let them lead you through theday.
Let them plan your next severalweeks.
And let them take some of thatmental strain off of you and

(14:26):
some of that situationalawareness off of you while they
are in control.
So you start your daypositively.
You start your morning askingyour spirit team to take
control.
And spend the day shining yourlight forward from you to

(14:51):
everyone that you come incontact with.
Show them love, healing, andpositivity.
Going back to St.
Francis of Assisi again, one ofhis famous sayings was start by
doing what is necessary.
This helps you with your beingoverwhelmed.

(15:14):
Just start with doing what isnecessary, then do what is
possible, and suddenly you aredoing the impossible.
Don't have to be overwhelmed.
Don't have to feel lost.
Just do what is possible.

(15:35):
Do what is yours to do, whichyour spirit team knows and will
help direct you.
Even with all the activity inthe world around us, we don't
have to feel alone, overwhelmed,or lost.
With the guidance of heavenlyheaven and their heavenly equity

(15:56):
from our spirit team, employingthat on our behalf.
We have everything we need to dowhat is ours to do.
The rest we leave to heaven tohandle for all of us.
Just another way you can makeheaven real in our world.
