I have been asked, where do you get your material
for making heaven real?

SPEAKER_00 (00:08):
What if I told you that there's more to it, that
there are benefits and resourcesfrom heaven that are available
to help you in this life, andyou've never heard about them.
Are you curious?
Well, join Gordon Merrill as hedigs deeper into making heaven

SPEAKER_01 (00:37):
So the question at the beginning of the episode
Where do you get your material?
Does the title not give you aclue?
No, all joking aside.
Way back in the Genesis episode,we reviewed how I was told,
walking and talking and prayingto heaven and asking for all

(01:02):
kinds of help.
I was told we need to tell them.
That was a different let we.
Not me.
People have asked me, do youhave a roadmap of upcoming
topics?
And if so, what do you plan onteaching or talking about in the

(01:23):
next month or two?
The short answer is no.
I don't have a roadmap.
I don't know from week to weekwhat the topic's going to be.
I think it's kind of interestingwhen you go back and look at it,
how they seem to all fittogether, and one builds on the
next, which builds on the next,and after a while the last two

(01:45):
or three all come together in anepisode that kind of culminates
with a point around the previousepisodes.
But that's not me.
In fact, this particular weekI've started on and been given
three different topics.

(02:06):
This one being the third one.
Because for whatever reason, Idon't know.
Haven't just decided that elsedon't do either of the other
two, and let's let's go in thisdirection instead.

(02:33):
Again, the answer is no.
My topic comes to me from spiritdirection.
The main points come to me fromspirit direction.
Quite honestly, even as I'm inthe middle of recording each
episode, it's obvious thatspirit's directing that.

(03:00):
Or moving me for to a differentpoint and having me skip a
point.
And when I go back and listen toit, it's just captivating to me
and how things have changed fromwhat I put on a couple bullet
points to remind me to discusscertain things and how that

(03:20):
turned into something completelydifferent for the final product.
Now I know what I've beentelling you just now at the
beginning of this episode arenot popular answers at all.
But don't forget in our Genesisepisode, we laid out some hard

(03:42):
and fast rules for this podcast.
First one was never talk aboutpolitics.
Second was to never discussdenominations and religions
specifically.
Those two are kind of obviousbecause those are man-made
institutions and man-made itemsand not referred to in

(04:06):
scripture.
And yes, I had somebody comeback and tell me that, well,
religion or uh politics ismentioned in scripture when it
says render under Caesar, thethings that are Caesar's.
But yes, you don't see anyarguments about politics or any
discussions about politicalparties or any of that.

(04:29):
But then there were two more.
And the first one of those wasnever discuss anything that
tries to limit God.
When you stop and think aboutthat, who are we as humans to
even think we have the abilityto control or limit or restrain

(04:56):
God in any way?
Except using our free will todeny what he has for us.
And the last one was to nevercross God's line for blasphemy.

(05:21):
It is interesting to me how muchreligious speak comes so
dangerously close to crossingthat line.
Stop and think about thatsometime.
But those are our four hard andfast rules for this podcast.

(05:43):
We never limit God, we nevercross the line about blasphemy,
and we don't talk about politicsor denominations or religions.
I have to tell you, in the shorttime that we've been running
this podcast, I've been gettingsome very interesting feedback.

(06:20):
And even if you're open to it,just puts pieces and parts of
things that you have to do, justregular tasks, nothing heavenly
or nothing spiritual, but thetasks you have to accomplish for
that day are so intricatelywoven together to be done

(06:44):
expeditiously, timely, withlittle to no delay and no
problems.
But yes, those answers are notpopular.
Those answers have feedback fordifferent reasons.

(07:08):
I've had people tell me that forme to make those kind of
statements, those statements arenot of God.
God in heaven does not speak tohumans.
Well, if you stick to thatparticular statement, you've got
some problems with a lot of thethings that you see in
Scripture.

(07:31):
We have cases in Scripture whereGod in heaven spoke directly to
people like Samuel and Paul andMoses and Abraham and Nahum and
other people specifically calledout by God in the Bible.

(07:56):
I also had somebody tell me thatmediums are from the dark side.

(08:17):
Does nothing but take messagesfrom heaven and bring them to
humans for their betterment.
That sounds exactly like how theBible described a prophet.

(08:41):
Prophets were God's people whowere brought into the arena
basically just to bring messagesfrom heaven to warn God's
people, to warn the children ofIsrael.
So what's the difference?

(09:04):
Would it be better if we startedcalling mediums prophets?
I think there's a lot ofterminology here that's a
concern, and I think there's alot of previous preconceptions
that cause issues when peoplecome to a spiritual topic and

(09:33):
back off.

(09:57):
When we're around people wholook like us, think like us,
believe like us, it's not longbefore we start to read the
Bible and start to project ourimage upon Jesus and heaven.
In order for us to be able tojustify the way we look, think,

(10:18):
and act.
I think that's ratherinteresting, especially in this
particular topic.
Fits very well, even though I'msure Pastor John had no
intention of that when hebrought that subject up a month
ago.

(10:41):
But we bring our ownpreconceived ideas, our own
notions to the study ofScripture.
Where we're looking for it tojustify what we want as opposed
to what it says.

(11:08):
And you can spin statistics in acertain way that you can prove
any point you want to prove.
This isn't specificallystatistics, but is that where
we've gone with this kind oftopic?
We have preconceived notions,preconceived ideas that we were
told somewhere along the linethat tells us what can and

(11:32):
cannot be done by God or heavenprobably isn't scriptural.
Because what we've been talkingabout up until now, we've shown
how this is discussed and talkedabout and treated in Scripture.

(12:05):
And he was talking about howwhen people come to him in his
office for counseling,especially through loss and
grief, I mean, he had to agreewith me right off the bat that
for the most part, society hasno idea how to deal with grief.

(12:26):
By and large, 99%, some kind ofhigh nineties percentage of
people in this country havenever been around it.
You've never witnessed anybodyhelping somebody else in grief.

(12:49):
Kind of takes us back to ourgrief toolkit.
If you just follow those threethings and try and help somebody
in grief, you're already lightyears ahead of anybody else.
Just because it's never beentalked about, never been
discussed, never been taught.
In a lot of cases, never beenexperienced.

(13:14):
So in my case, one of the firstquestions I came up with is why
did it take me till, you know,60 plus before I was able to
ever come across any of thesethings or learn these things?
And those same spirits quicklyreminded me, well, go back and
look at your own previousepisodes because we have
discussed.

(13:35):
There are no coincidences.
Everything that happens in yourlife is a part of our plan, ours
and yours.
And basically, you weren'tsupposed to know this yet.
According to the plan.

(13:57):
But now you do.
So what are you going to do withthe knowledge?
You can't just walk away andsay, Well, I don't know.
Not anymore.
And since you do know, now youhave a decision to make.

(14:22):
Do you take the knowledge thatyou're hearing and the ideas
that you're hearing now, and thethoughts and scriptures that
we've discussed and apply thatto your life and give it a
chance to have proof heavenprove itself to you?
Or do you just use your freewill decision to shut it down?

(14:47):
Just like we talked aboutearlier, God will never force
anything on you.
As a result, heaven will neverforce anything on you.
Your spirit team that's standingby, ready and waiting to do
everything to help you, willnever force anything on you
against your will.

(15:12):
So all the heavenly equity we'vebeen talking about, all the
support from your spirit teamwe've been talking about, all
the spirit team redirection andgo-around we've been talking
about.
It's all there for you.
But only if you allow it.

(15:49):
But we've talked about thosethings and how they may not any
longer serve you.
They may not be as accurate asyou thought they were.
Like you thought they did.
So do you choose those teachingsfrom early on over heavenly

(16:18):
revelations?
Do you choose indecision overspiritual direction?
Do you choose frustration overdivine purpose?
Do you choose loss overunconditional love?

(16:41):
Emptiness over spiritualfulfillment.
Grief over peace and comfort.
Need over heavenly equity.
The choice is yours.
Heaven awaits.

(17:03):
Will you make heaven real inyour life?
