In episode 3 of the special Impact of Visual Arts series, Barcelona-based, Colombian Artist, Erika Arias who loves painting with the camera and is an enthusiast of Spiritual and Therapeutic Photography talks to our host Payal Nayar.
Her work is the result of an extensive exploration of the body around its identity. While assessing art as a way of self-expression Erika narrates her journey and her thought process behind every picture she has got under her sleeves. Stay tuned to hear her explorations in this episode.
Erika is a bold expressionist and her every piece is an exploration of the human figure, the tangible, as a container of memory and emotions that are recorded through the physical and emotional experiences we have lived previously. Having reached a point where movement and body expression, the discipline of music, all of this together with elements of nature such as water, has allowed her to understand and discover that there is an implicit and binding therapeutic exercise in this combination of action and expression.
