Episode 72: Viola Detroit Review
This Week's Episode of MiCannaCast Cannadave & Groovee reviews a dispensary and also a flower from Viola in Detroit Mi. We also discuss the huge landmark win for the medical patients here in the state of Michigan.
Bonkers Flower Viola:
The first topic on the episode as we discuss and talk about Bonkers which is grown by Viola and sold at their store. Bonkers is a cross of Lemon tree and Cookies & Cream. We believe it's an Exotic Gentix Cross. It has subtly undertones of lemon when cracking open the nug and also smoking the joint. Check out what we thought about this flower which just got released recently. We put the bonkers through our test and overall it passed good flower. Great smoke clean white ash and a nice level high as well. We recommend getting the flowers if you have a chance. Watch for the full review and see what got our best rating on the strain.
Viola Detroit is a cannabis company that was founded by co-owner Al Harrington former Indiana Pacers basketball player and now Cannabis Advocate. Viola is in a couple of other states like Colorado. It's very cool to see them vertically integrate with their own shop and cannabis in the store. In the Michigan Market, they aren't producing edibles or concentrates yet like they are in Colorado. All the cannabis bud in the shop was grown by them with a variety of pricing which is great. They also run great deals depending on the day of the week. P.S Don't miss out on the weekend deals where all flowers will be $10 a gram even the top-shelf line. Great customer service and budtenders when we went for our first visit.
Cannadave also met Al Harrington the other night at a guest appearance at Michigan Supply and Provisions. Let me tell you very nice guy down to earth and check out the photo on our Instagram channel, look at how short Cannadave is compared to Al.
Probation with Medical Card:
An officially in Michigan now residents who obtain a medical marijuana card or have had one for while can continue to smoke or consume cannabis as long as they have their card. The judges in the state can't say you can't use your medicine when on probation. This is a huge step forward for our community. This could set precedents with this just being passed, other states might look at this case as an example. It all started with Michael Thue who was the person on probation and the judge didn't want him to use his medical card but could use mornial. We go into depth on this topic and if you want more info on it Check out The Jazz Cabbage Cafe recent episode with us and special guest Michael Thue.
