I can't believe I did this.  Clearly, I was feeling pretty gutsy and a little curious! I decided to have my son on the podcast!

Every day I'm having discussions with moms about their health concerns and the conversation always shifts to their kids. As moms we want our kids to be healthy and it all feels so overwhelming. How do we teach our kids about nutrition and not be overbearing? How do we empower them to make good food choices? Well, you always hear me, why not hear from one of my kids? For the podcast, I got a little brave and decided to invite my 14-year-old son, JD to join me and talk about food and nutrition for healthy families. I wanted you to hear his perspective!

In this podcast we talk about...

  • Lunch Time, DIY Meal Prepping for Teens
  • How to Talk to your Kids About Nutrition
  • Nutrition for Athletes
  • Importance of Hydration
  • Rest and Recovery for Athletes
  • Nutrition Strategies for Healthy Families

All this and more with some funny stories thrown in.  I didn't know how this convo would go.  He is a 14-year-old boy after all! But I was so pleased to see that maybe he was listening all those times when I thought he wasn't.

Our family is a work in progress. We do not have it all figured out. You know you try to impress healthy habits on your kids. But it’s not easy! There’s a lot of factors at play. But it was interesting listening to my son, there are some things that stuck! YAYY!

Mama it really is up to you to teach your kids about nutrition!

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
