In the summer of 2013, I had an experience that would forever change my perspective on life. On that day, out of nowhere, I was hit with the most intense and overwhelming feeling I had ever felt. A paralyzing feeling that shook me to my core. I spent the next few years of my life in deep introspection, re-learning and reviewing many of my life lessons and experiences. Throughout this process I ended up with hundreds of journal entries about topics such as relationships, communication, career, personal values, life purpose, and others. This podcast was created in order to share those insights Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/my-enriched-life/support

The journal entries shared tonight have the swagger of a Buddhist Monk. Accepting what is, accepting what is not. What can and can't be. This does not mean that we give up on our goals and dreams but it does mean that we don't drive ourselves batty trying to achieve something t...

Do you have to ask anyone if it is ok to feel the way you are feeling?
Always remember why it was that you made the decisions that you made, this can help you for a very long time after the decision is made.

Went a little shorter this week and spoke about some sporadic ideas including how to stop ruminating on the same problems, a preview of a book idea that I have been working on, asking the question "What more can I want out of life"?, building your self-esteem without the use of external validation, the loneliness one feels when trying to do something no one around you has done, accepting compliments vs. trying to make peopl...

Despite having some technical difficulties during this episode, I have some goodies in here this week. I show a good portion of my personal list of rules for living an successful (enriched) life. I also answer someone's question about negative self-talk and how to approach improving on this.

In this episode I use interview questions I found on the website https://designyourthinking.com (Thank you) and used them on myself. I answer a few questions form the list and then move on into speaking about people's sometimes well-intentioned advice falling flat on it's face. I provide some ideas on how to deal with what seems like an attempt at support but ends up being more of an impossible obstacle to climb. Be you! Be...

Today I have a discussion with an old friend of mine from my earlier years as a therapist. We discuss a few topics but mostly we discuss toxic environments since we have both had our share :).
