season premiere, picking up the pieces, which I don't know, I
guess we'll be picking up the pieces on this episode.

(03:05):
We open at Janelle's house, her beautiful homestead, her rental
in Las Vegas. In case you guys have forgot
where we are, we're in Las Vegasin the rentals that the Browns
are renting. And of course, we're in the
midst of the storylines of building their new homes, Meri's
infertility, my sister, wife'scloset.
And we'll now be able to talk about Solomon's first birthday

(03:28):
in this episode. So exciting.
I know. I've just been waiting and
waiting for his 1st birthday on bated breath.
When we're at Janelle's house for the episode opening, Kody
says he just got done with his workout.
And he's, like, wearing his workout clothes and he's all
sweaty. And it's like, OK, thanks, Kody.
He tells us.
It's been almost two years since they moved to Las Vegas from

(03:50):
Utah, so queue up the flashback montage of the move.
Oh. My goodness.
The footage we've seen a million times of them doing whatever
and hurrying out in the middle of the night for no reason.
We have to see the footage again and we're starting yet another
season with something that we've started, I think, multiple
seasons with now. Is this flashback like they just

(04:11):
can't move on from it? Two years in separate houses as
well is what that means. Two years since they have been
living in these separate homes and their lives have started
falling apart. Kody and Christine are talking
about this need to live together and blah blah blah on the
couch. And Janelle gives a sumMeri of

(04:32):
finding the properties, their pre qualification exercises,
their choice of their builds, all the things that you guys
have heard us talking about thatyou've loved every minute of.
But, and we have to of course we've loved every minute of
going through these stories. And so of course we have to have
a sumMeri because we're kicking off the new season.
And of course, Kody has to say, too, that they still have to

(04:53):
qualify for the homes. So if two people just qualify
and two people don't, that wouldbe the end of it.
It would be so awful. Catastrophe.
That would be interesting though, if not all of them were
able to move into the homes because of course, in practical
sense the other people would just rent or move into the homes
that are being built. I mean, they were a family who
lived together at one point in time.

(05:14):
Well, what's weird to me about it is that they haven't
qualified or they still have to continue to qualify, but they're
picking out the choices for the homes.
So if they don't get the home, then some other person ends up
buying it with all the choices that they made.
Like it just seems bizarro but Idon't know.
And then yeah, you're right. They lived in one home as 3

(05:37):
wives for the longest time. And if if you only made it into
two of the homes, couldn't 2 wives live in each home?
It wouldn't be ideal, but. No, it's probably bigger than
the original home where three wives were living the whole just
one home, you know? In a trailer with paper thin
walls. And now they'd be moving into
new builds that they would have to share.
Someone would have to get the priMeri bedroom and that would

(05:59):
be a thing. But if you were approved then
you get the priMeri bedroom. See.
Look. Yeah.
Making up the rules here. That would make sense to me,
yeah. Robyn tells us that, you know,
they really want to get into thenew home homes primarily for the
teenagers to establish a home before they leave on their next,
you know, chapters of life. And it seems like just kind of a

(06:21):
talking point from her. I'm not so sure that that's her
number one. I think she needs more room for
her horde, but that's my opinion.
Yeah, Aspen and Leon only have alittle bit of time left, so it
would be nice to get into the homes before some more teenagers
are leaving the roost. And Madison says that their
rentals are depressing. Yes.
They are depressing. Leon says that Vegas is their

(06:46):
home. They consider Vegas their home,
but the rental they do not consider their home.
OK, at least Leon's cool with being in Vegas now, so there's
that. Yeah, when they made the initial
move, Leon was like, I want tostay in Utah and like I'm an
adult and whatever. And it's like, I'll clearly that
was not going to work. So I guess it's good to hear

(07:08):
that they are they feel like Vegas is home.
Yes. Our first scene after Janelle's
house is out at the properties at the cul-de-sac and the bottom
third says 60 days until Christmas.
So do you think that this is ourcountdown for the season?
I think we're going to get a countdown until Christmas and
we're going to keep getting, youknow, check insurance on these

(07:30):
homes and how they're doing and the progress 60 days.
Until Christmas, maybe I'll put a little effect on it.
It'll be all dramatic. But this is not exactly that
kind of podcast, so don't expectit.
They're doing a framing walkthrough again.
I think we ended with that. You know, they were doing an

(07:51):
original framing walkthrough or they went to see the frames up,
but now we're doing a framing walkthrough and they're going to
go to each home and they're going to start with Robyn's
house first. Yeah.
They're meeting Mona and then one of the guys from Pinnacle
Homes. Oh yes.
So this is probably when they'resaying their first walkthrough,
like officially. Officially can't forget about
Mona, our best friend. Here, we definitely need Mona

(08:13):
there. She's got her clipboard and
she's following them around. Fortune telling Globe in her
hand. Yes, they're crystals.
A crystal ball, and it turns outit's not very good.
No. Not very good indeed.
We've got some mistakes. I think the the money might have
been clouding her ability to see into the future.

(08:34):
Yes, the money and the builders doing whatever they're doing.
My favorite part of this transition is when Christine
says I know there's just going to be wood everywhere.
Yeah, I'm like, what? Like, yes, there will be wood
everywhere. They're building a house.
And also, what are you, like, scared of wood?
There's. Going to be wood everywhere
like. I mean, it's a construction

(08:54):
site, but it's not exactly. I don't know.
She has an irrational fear of spontaneous combustion and being
in one of these homes and starting on fire.
She might get a splinter. Oh.
Kody says. I'm not carrying anyone across
thresholds until we own the homes.
Yeah, and unfortunately we're starting at Robyn's house, so it
seems like he was saying it toher mostly, and it made me puke

(09:17):
a little bit in my mouth. I was like, Kody, when they're
going to Robyn's house, there isone point where she points out a
window like, oh, I thought it was going to be this kind of
window and asked if they could change.
It didn't seem like a big deal, A big dull.
She says it's really dark in here and Kody says, yeah, I'd be
really dark in here with the window, the wrong type of
window. It's not big enough.

(09:37):
Yeah. Yeah.
Our next house on this fabulous tour is Meri's house and as soon
as she walks in she goes. I see a Boo Boo and I was like
Oh my God. Meri.
Like couldn't happen to a bettersister, wife, you know?
Yeah. Of course, she's like the first
one to go. Now this is a problem.
And I see it immediately, like, OK, here we go, Meri.
Yeah, there's a big double door frame where there should just be

(10:03):
a wall, OK. Off of her foyer like that is
funny. There's just, it's just, you
know, like, yeah, I mean, you don't want to put indoors where
you didn't have them plan. Whatever her plan is for that
room, she should get that. It's just funny that of course
it's Meri. And it's like, this should just
be a solid wall. Like, oh, God.
Of course, Mayor. It's funny because you know,

(10:24):
when they're talking about the window at Robyns, they do kind
of have a little sidebar betweenMeri and Mona.
And Meri says if we need to makeany changes, like, what does
that mean? What's the cost?
And Mona says, well, it depends on what needs to be changed.
And I hate this type of shit. This is like my fear with

(10:46):
building a home is you plan everything out like
meticulously. Like you take your time and you
get there and the freaking contractor is messing things up
and then the money comes out ofyour pocket to fix it even
though they fucked up based on the plans.
And I feel like the contractor should be held more accountable
for that mistake and they should have to front the cost

(11:09):
for that because their job is literally overseeing the build
of the home. And if they're not doing that
correctly, they're failing at their job.
So for Mona to say it depends onhow big the fix is, I just want
to say like get bent to people in this type of business that
take advantage of people and just like make mistakes and then
make money off of it, get bent.

(11:30):
Get bent. Yeah, they didn't go into too
much detail about the things because the Window 1, I feel
like when Robyn asked if that could be changed, I think the
guy from Pinnacle Home said like as long as you're going to pay
or if it costs money and it's like, OK, we didn't really get
details about these things. It was just kind of brushed
over. But yeah, I know it is annoying
when. Yeah, there was like a little

(11:50):
sidebar conversation, but they didn't focus on it.
And I'm just like, they're already worried about qualifying
for these homes and going, like, above and beyond their budget,
and now you've got to get mistakes fixed.
Like, yeah, regardless of the fact that it's the Browns, and I
don't have much sympathy here. I have sympathy for people in

(12:11):
situations like this that have to deal with contractors because
they are not very great to work with.
I feel like saying, I've heard many times as you double the
timeline and you double the budget and like that's a bit
much. I mean, it's one thing to add
10% or 20%, but to just go into it knowing it's going to take

(12:32):
significantly longer than they say and it's going to cost
significantly more, It's like, come on, do better faith
estimates, like get your shit together.
I feel like they should be held more accountable than they are
for things like that, honestly.
Yeah. They're probably like, unless
you're willing to sign this piece of paper that says we are
not responsible for our own errors first, we're not going to
work for you. Right.
So now, first we've got the window that's the wrong size,

(12:54):
we've got the double door frame, and then we get to Christine's
house. What's wrong in Christine's
house? Well, Christine's house has an
opening off the foyer that shouldn't be there.
It's it was hard for me to follow a little bit.
I feel like maybe it should havebeen around the corner or
something. It just wasn't supposed to be
off the foyer. Yeah, there's a doorway in the
wrong place, and Kody is trying to convince Christine and sell

(13:17):
her on this idea of she could have a library instead of fixing
it, because I think now they might have gotten the gist that
it's going to cost money to fixthe errors.
He tries to sell poor Christine on a library, but she falls for
it hook, line and sinker. She says best mistake ever.

(13:37):
Right. OK.
Well, then, you know, it's interesting because with these
homes, something we've discussedbefore even is that there is
like a Eden kitchen thing. Like there's like the kitchen
and then a place for a table in the family room.
So the need for a formal dining room is really up to if a person
really needs it. And so like, for example, if I

(13:59):
was building a home and I had a limited budget, I probably would
choose do not have a formal dining room if I had a place for
a table. And that's okay in theory.
Like to her. And she starts talking about how
her family so loud and how it would be good to have a quiet
space. I'm thinking about her kids.
Basically. Yeah, you probably have to like

(14:20):
close yourself in your room if you ever wanted any peace and
quiet in any of these houses except for Meri's.
Meri's probably very quiet what it needs to be.
But do you remember how big computer rooms used to be?
Yes. Like having a nook that was a
computer room. Yeah, it was a big deal.
We were looking for houses and Iremember there being like the

(14:41):
newer homes had a computer like nook either off the kitchen.
Ours ended up being in the basement and it was this like
framed out nook in the middle ofthe basement and that was a big
deal or having like a small office space.
And so I could see how that could be helpful, especially
with all of the studying that she does for things, you know,

(15:03):
having this quiet library to study and would have been
helpful before her failures of tests.
Yeah, the, the family home needsspace for the PC and the monitor
and all the software and the printers and the papers and all
the fucking things like Oh my God.
And you're right, remember? And so many times those built
insurance or the big desk were like that oak, like the yellow

(15:25):
orange oak, just like God strip it and stain it.
Yeah, and they're like massive and like heavy pieces that even
if you try to get rid of them, it's like no one wants it
anymore. You could set it up by the
street with the free sign and people are like, I'm just going
to drive my bike. It's.
Too much work. Yeah, Christine is wearing a
green blouse with frog closures like buttons all down the front.

(15:49):
Like real frogs.
No, like it's a, it's a type of closure.
They're usually on kimonos and stuff.
Oh, is it the kind of the thing that comes?
Out. Yeah, with the little loop that
goes through and she's wearing this like a green top that's
literally just like those frog closures all the way down the
front. And I was like, what is this?

(16:11):
What is this? She's such a fashion icon that
Christmas. Yeah, so unique.
And on this parade of homes, we don't get to see anything about
Janelle's. Nope.
So I'm assuming that means either there was nothing wrong,
which is not my assumption, or the issues that were there.
She's like, I'm easy breezy, beautiful.
I'm Janelle. It's all good.

(16:31):
Don't worry, don't. It doesn't matter to me.
Save the dollars. Keep it as is.
Oh, these rooms don't have doors at all.
That's all right. I'll make my kids find another
way in. Don't.
Don't spend the money. Want me to access the room at
all? Yeah, we'll make our own doors
when we move in. We'll make holes for the kids to
crawl through. We'll.

(16:52):
Just breakthrough the drywall. Oh my God, that's funny.
Ridiculous. Then we get a transition into
our next scene where Robyn starts off by talking about how
for Christmas last year she designed a necklace for her
sister wives. And I was like did we get to see
this necklace? We do hear about it more later

(17:14):
so my my queries were calmed but I was like what what this
necklace? Did I miss it?
Was I sleep? They did show us when she gave
it to them. Really.
Yeah, she gave it to them for Christmas and it was like the
first like mock up thing almost before the actual mock ups.
OK, OK. Yeah.
She talks about how it's been 5 months since they launched the

(17:36):
My Sister Wives Closet website.
Five whole months. Five months and I'm sure they've
sold many, many, many pieces. They're meeting at Meri's house
to discuss an upcoming Expo titled What Women Want in St.
George, UT. Which is so funny because when

(17:57):
Robyn was telling us the name ofthis Expo, I was like, what the
hell did she say? I had to rewind it because she's
just so like, trash mouth. You can't even understand what
she's saying. She's like what women want.
It's like. What women want, What women
want, it's a big deal for them to be part of this Expo because
they have some issues boiling up.

(18:17):
Issues coming up to the surface. They're having some trouble
getting some traction on my sister wifes closet.
Yeah, she blames the fact that they don't have a storefront.
She says people can't see and touch the items and it's
affecting the sales. Like people just don't know what
the quality is like when they can't see and touch items and

(18:39):
that's why it's suffering online.
Yeah, if they knew that the necklace was like an anchor
tearing your body to the ground, they would love to have the
necklace. They'd love to spend hundreds of
dollars on that necklace. On that £50 the necklace.
It's made out of like, concrete. And she's like, they just don't
get the comedy. And yeah, she talks about how
this Expo can serve as like, a replacement, like a mini

(19:03):
storefront. Like, they'll be there to let
people touch and hold and smell and caress and taste my sister
wife's closet jewelry and taste it.
It tastes like Mantle. Like rusty pennies for some
reason. These jewelries taste like rusty
pennies. We get some details about Meri's
ability to go or whatever. She says she's going to have to

(19:27):
leave the Expo 1/2 hour after it starts because of an
obligation with Leon. But then.
Says she has a conference to do that.
Oh, a conference? OK, see, this is, I feel like
she's talking about two different things in this.
Like one day she had something and then the next day she had
something or something. It's just weird they focus on
the fact that she's going to have to show up late and or the

(19:50):
drive is 4 hours and if she hasto leave you know and only be
there 1/2 an hour. Kody doesn't think it's worth it
for her to go and thinks she just shouldn't go.
But Robyn wants her to go and Meri pushes to go because she
wants things to get done right? So they're just going back and
forth about this stupid thing with Meri not being able to come

(20:12):
on time and spend much time there the first day, and it's
like, why does this even fuckingmatter?
Why does this matter? Robyn wants Meri to drive the
four hours round trip because she's a pusher.
Yeah, she's a pusher. She knows that Janelle and
Christine are going to be like, we're doing our best.
Yeah. And she thinks Meri's going to

(20:33):
harass and assault all the people into buying the jewelry.
She can't do it without Meri.
Oh. Yeah, her sister.
Wife. God forbid I have to do all the
work. Right.
Heaven forbid she have to carry her own weight.
Janelle lets us know that they need to sell 100 pieces to make
this Expo worth it. 100 pieces A. 100 pieces and that tells me

(20:59):
that their jewelry, I, I shouldn't say that tells me, but
my assumption is if she's running off of an average cost,
that everything must be pretty expensive because, you know, in
order to sell a $15 ring versus a $2000 blah blah blah.
That's a big difference. So I'm assuming they're all
overpriced and relatively the same price.

(21:20):
For sure. I was thinking 100 pieces to
make an Expo worth it. You have to pay for your booth
at the Expo. You're paying for gas for this 4
hour drive. We find out that they're
obviously staying the night because it's two days and
they're going the night before.
So two nights of hotel rooms andyou'd only have to sell 100

(21:43):
pieces to make it worth it. Either her math isn't maphing,
which we know it doesn't math very good, yeah, or yeah this
shit is overly expensive as we already know too, but it's
insane. And we do later, I mean, later
Robyn talks about having grown up around Saint George.
So the the cost savings that could happen is maybe they're

(22:04):
staying at Stepdaddy, Uncle Paul's house.
Oh, maybe. She might have relatives, you
know, like maybe her sister Fawnor her sister Dawn or her sister
dish soap or whoever these people are, they might stay
there. So let's give let's give Janelle
a little grace on her math failings because, well, it's not
even a failing. The jewelry probably is just
really expensive. Yeah, Kody is like, you guys can

(22:26):
all stay here with Robyn's family.
We're getting a hotel room for the night.
Have fun with Saul. Kody and Robyn stay in a hotel
and all the other wives stay at Robyn's family's house.
Because they need to be closer to the Expo.
Because it's Robyn's thing, eventhough it's everybody.
Oh sure, that that rationale. We're just coming up with this
story. I love it, I love it.

(22:47):
Robyn is wearing this weird likefaux Jean blazer with some big
gaudy necklace on that I'm not sure is even from the My Sister
Eyes Closet collection. It doesn't look like it.
I don't think so. And I'm like she is trying to
look serious. She has this like blazer outfit
on but it's like fake Jean. It's not even real Jean material

(23:09):
and she's just trying to look so important because they're
having a meeting about my Sister Wives closet and I just
thought that was so funny. At Meri's kitchen table so like
we're not going to like a meeting space or a boardroom or
even a Co working we're just going to Meri's table.
Robyn is wearing this ridiculoustop and I think that the

(23:29):
necklace now I, I feel like it was one of those ones that had
like draped chains and then maybe like feathers or something
hanging from it. Well, the only reason that I
kind of thought maybe it was oneof theirs is because it had,
like, a hoop with, like, charms hanging on it.
And I'm like, maybe that is one of their necklaces.
But the chain doesn't look like one of their chains at all that

(23:52):
we've seen so far. So I'm like, is this lady even
really wearing her own jewelry or you can't even tell?
Yeah, we've seen Meri wearing the bear paw, which is their
logo. Apparent like, yeah, the people,
the four, four of them with the little dots on top.
And it literally looks like if you were missing your fingers at

(24:14):
the first knuckle. Yeah.
So we've seen Meri wear that necklace a lot, and I think
Christine's even wearing it. During this episode, I've seen
Christine rocking a necklace or two, but yeah, Robyn shows up to
this meeting looking like a teenager trying to look legit,
not even wearing her own jewelryto her own jewelry meeting.
The outfit reminds me of the club days at this time when

(24:35):
you'd go out downtown and girls were wearing like business
casual as their club outfit. And that's like what she's
wearing. It's just funny.
While they're sitting at Meri's table, the the important
business meeting has started andJanelle tells everyone this
weekend will be a big indicator on whether this business will be
able to be a support for the family.

(24:56):
Right now it's not. Yeah, she she flat out says that
she doesn't think that my sister wives closet is going to
be profitable. Yeah, she says she thinks it
might be profitable, but won't be profitable enough to support
multiple people. OK, so, yeah, so.
She did give a little kernel to Robyn's ridiculous idea by
saying it might be, you know, itmight be profitable.

(25:20):
Yeah, she says that she thinks she should be focused more on
her real estate business, and she's worried about putting
bread and butter on the table. This.
Is it my sister? Wife's closet isn't going to
give her that bread and butter that she can pass through the
wall hole to her children as they're trapped in their
bedroom. For like a little mice in their
old hole. Yeah.

(25:41):
Yeah, she's worried about basically paying her bills
because she doesn't think that it will be able to sustain the
entire family and that they really need to start thinking
about multiple income sources, which is something that they've
discussed before. And it seems like they've kind
of put all their eggs in one basket, and now they can't even

(26:02):
afford bread and butter. Yeah.
Yeah, I think this is a Harkin back to really the history of
their family, how Janelle alwayshad to work, Kody had to.
I'm going to put work in quotes because I don't know what money
he ever made. Meri worked and even though
Christine was the stay at home wife, wife, you know, mom wife,
she's still at work too. So they were all working and

(26:24):
then Robyn came into the family and that changed.
They just need instant gratification all the time,
these people. And when they're not getting it
and something's suffering or not working just a little bit,
they ditch it and move on to the next thing.
Like you've said before, they'rethey're grifters.
They're like trying to find the quick and easy fix to
everything, which it makes sensethen why they're hawk and drink

(26:47):
mix and Lularoe outfits becausethose are that instant
gratification money maker businesses that end up kind of
fucking you in the end, you know?
Well, and I'm curious too, because we're now starting
season 6, I wonder what their income from the show also is,
because if you my my best guess was that it would at least cover

(27:11):
the cost of like their housing.
It has. To, I mean, it has to, yeah.
So if what they're really talking about is earning income
to set money aside for their kids, they do have a lot of kids
and they for some reason think they're going to send their kids
to college, which is insane. That's insane.
And then, you know, whatever other things they have, you
know, bread and butter. So I kind of, it's interesting

(27:33):
because sometimes they talk about the money as if like, what
are we going to do? They're obviously terrible at
money. They have been on this show for
20 years now, 20 seasons, and they still have money things
where it's like, how have you not figured this out by now?
Like how many years of TV do you have to do before you're like,
I don't need to be scammy on TV about business because I'm OK

(27:54):
like. Why don't you have an accountant
or somebody that's helping you at this point, helping you
budget? I don't understand that at all.
Janelle the bookkeeper. Because yeah, they've got their
own personal bookkeeper. Oh God.
So they're starting this discussion about like how
they're feeling, what they're putting into the project, so

(28:14):
like, what's happening? And Robyn of course comes in
with her brilliant $0.02 and Robyn says that she thinks Kody
thinks of it as like a hobby business after she says there
needs to be more man hours put in by everyone.
So everyone needs to put in more hours.
And you know, even Kody said that this is just a hobby
business, which he has an amazing response.

(28:35):
Oh my gosh, I don't see it as a hobby.
I don't see it that way because I'm not enjoying it.
He is flat out like not having it, he says.
There are days that I don't want to work with them and I just
want to run away. Screaming.
Run away screaming. Like yeah, you wouldn't do a

(28:58):
hobby business that you don't even enjoy.
This is the second person that's talked about running away from
the family. Now we've had Janelle say that
she's felt like running away, and now we've got Kody saying he
feels like running away. And Christine pipes up and she
flat out says that she never intended to do this.
She intended to do real estate.

(29:20):
I'm sorry, Robyn, I never intended to actually do this.
I intended to do real estate. And Robyn's like, well, I didn't
know that. They're kind of getting into it
at the table about how little everyone is invested
emotionally. And Christine, she says if I
don't groan during the meeting, get up and roll my eyes and walk

(29:43):
out of the meeting early, that's good support.
And that had me cracking up because it's so funny because
she does do that eye roll, but she's so obvious about it.
When she rolls her eyes, her whole head rolls with her eyes.
Totally.
And I mean, I'm, I'm team Christine on this thing because

(30:06):
it's not like we ever saw any footage.
Now, mind you, we don't see everything, but I didn't see
Christine going like, I can't wait to dedicate 40 hours a week
to your jewelry business. Like, I feel like Robyn's delulu
where she would think everyone would be having the time,
availability and desire to support an online jewelry
business. Like it's just weird.
Yeah, I don't understand her need for everybody to be so in

(30:28):
on this. And she keeps harping on it.
You know, Meri says this is a critical time for the family.
This Expo may tell us if it's right for the family or not.
And then Janelle is going in on it again, saying, well, I just
want to start focusing on my real estate and demote this to a
hobby. Yeah, Janelle says she feels

(30:49):
like it's a drain. And the money that they
invested, they planned on this being more than a hobby
business. So they're going, if this is
going to be more than a hobby business, it needs to be
successful and it needs to be successful now because we've
invested all of this money. And there is that thing in
business where you either your balls in or you're not.
And. Then if you are not, you cut

(31:11):
your losses and be done with it.
You don't drag it out and spend all this time on something
that's not making any money. Yeah.
And I think that their point here, too, is that they need to
focus on, you know, external ways of making money as well,
and that this should be Robyn's endeavour.
And they're a little confused asto why they have to have such
big part in it. And Robyn says it's called my

(31:33):
Sister Wives Closet. It's not called Robyns Closet.
It's about us and the differences that we bring.
It's about. Kody supporting his wives.
It's about our differences and what we all bring.
I'm like, no, it's not. When you start a business, it's

(31:55):
about business. There are things that hopefully
you like about it and you love about it and it's your passion
and that's why you're doing it. You cannot say that five people
are supposed to be dedicated toa non money making business.
Like Robyn is so fucking dumb. Like she's just so dumb.
Is it just Kody blowing smoke upher skirt that she's even gotten
to this point? Because it's not.
I mean, yeah, it's been around for five months, but we saw them

(32:17):
launch. The launch was a bust.
They've sold however many pieces, not enough to pay any
bills. So why is she so delusional to
think that everyone's going to show up to this meeting and be
like we're here for you, let us drop everything for my sister
wife's closet. But also like, what work is
there to do? You have the pieces, you've
manufactured the pieces supposedly, and now you've got

(32:39):
the online website up. What more do they need to be
doing right now? And what the fuck are you doing?
Because there are so many people
that run a one woman show a one person business and an online
business and do just fine. They don't need help.
So what are you doing? Why do you need help from four

(32:59):
other adults to do this? And I think that she is trying
to put the blame somewhere else again.
And now with everyone backing out, if this business is a
failure, it's not her fault. No one supports supported her.
No one gave her enough time of theirs.
Yeah. And now that it's failing, it's
like, well, it's, it's not on me.

(33:20):
Right, that totally makes sense.
And Robyn, she could literally be doing things like drafting
social media posts for her sister wives to be posting.
You could you do the work. And even if you have to rely on
other people for their followers, their engagement,
their whatever, well then make it easy for them.
I mean, what else is happening? They're not handcrafting the
jewelry. What is going?

(33:41):
On. What does Robyn do with all of
her time? I don't know.
Yeah, they're not running a little sweatshop with all their
children making the jewelry. Little truly, truly has the
perfect little fingers to put the snaps on the end of these
necklaces. That's her job.
Like we could drop the price, but we're not going to.
No. They're like Nike over there.

(34:02):
They're like keep it in the family so that all the money
stays in the family. And when we finally make some,
hopefully maybe. That's funny, Robyn says.
I put my heart into this business.
I was hoping it would be Bible and bless our family.
Bless your family. Maybe I'm just not insane, but
I'm like, right, the point of a business is to make money.

(34:26):
I guess that's a blessing, but the way she talks about it, it's
as if this experience of them doing this was going to bless
them, like change their lives orsomething.
It's insane. She goes on and on about that.
We're going to get to her fuckedup thinking again later on here
because this whole episode is just harping on the fact that
they're all going back and forthabout if this business is worth

(34:48):
it or not and her trying to push the family to do it.
And it's like, Oh my gosh, we are loading up the van in our
next scene. Big, big deal loading up that
red van. Going to go to Saint George for
the What Women Want Expo. They are putting in literal
chairs and table and furniture and display pieces.

(35:12):
Yes, they're putting in like 1 of the.
Things. Furniture.
Yes. And one of the things was like a
corner shelf that you would have put in a kitchen for fancy
plates maybe or something. A Baker's shelf, they would call
it. Oh my God.
I was going to ask you about this if if you've ever worked at
an Expo, I have worked an Expofor a business that I used to

(35:35):
work for. And usually when you're setting,
I shouldn't say usually I've only done it once, but they had
stipulations like you have to rent these things usually from a
vendor and that's how they make their money.
And so the fact that they were able to bring in all of their
stuff, they probably rented likethe big tables that were there.
But then by the time they get
their space set up, it literally looked like Meri's grandma's

(35:56):
basement. Like it was nuts.
Like, Oh my God. They were like, Meri, take your
fancy plates off of your Baker's rack.
We're going to take that and we're going to put these heavy
necklaces on there and hopefully it doesn't collapse under
their weight. We want.
People to be able to taste the jewelry.
Of course, Meri is leading this packing because duh, she's got

(36:18):
the shoulders for it. She's doing it.
She says she won't go the day before but the next morning to
help set up because of her schedule issues or whatever.
She'll be there bright and early.
Who else is going to be there at 8?
Crickets, Crickets, crickets, crickets.
Yes, yeah. And Meri and Robyn both say here
that they don't see it as a hobby business.

(36:39):
They're both full on in on this thing together.
Bosom Buddies. It's true, Robyn says.
They'll be celebrating Saul's first birthday when they get
back because his birthday is going to fall on this very, very
important Expo. So they won't be able to do it
on his birthday. They'll have to do it when they
get back. Yeah, Expo is on Solomon's

(37:01):
birthday. Like are you kidding me?
And Robyn makes the comment that she's happy they just survived
his first year. And I'm like, Yep, you and every
other mother, honey. I know.
I literally was like, that isn't actually, lol.
Relatable moment. Like maybe the first one in this
episode where it's like, yes, of course, like surviving the
first year. Yeah.

(37:22):
Now all the adults are driving up to Saint George except for
Meri. They hit the road and Robyn
tells us that she grew up in Saint George.
There was always news about the FLDS and the people of Saint
George don't have high opinions of Warren Jeffs in his cult.
Yeah, I don't think anybody has high opinions of LDS or Warren

(37:43):
Jeffs in his cult. FLDS.
Excuse me, FLDS. I don't want to say LDS.
I don't want to offend anybody.
Kody says that they're going there to do business, and he
hopes that the people there see them as something kind of in
between. So like kind of in between, in
between the FLDS, Warren drops and regular Mormonism, right?

(38:04):
Like, OK, you want to fall somewhere in between so that
hopefully these people will do business with you.
He was. He wants to make positive
impressions. And it's like, yeah, I don't
know if the positive place is somewhere between Mormonism and
the FLDS cult. Yeah.

(38:26):
But if that's where you're striving to be, that's that's
where you could be. He's.
Probably not wrong, that's kind of what it is, but it's like to
come flat out and say it to thecamera is like you buffoon.
Yeah, what a mess. Robyn tells us about how she had
to hide who she was as a teenager because people don't
like polygamists. And you know, she's nervous

(38:49):
about the Expo because of how the community may respond to
them. Robyn and Christine are
unpacking the car and Robyn saysI'm nervous, like to Christine
like being all weird while they're unpacking the car.
And she said that she's nervous because she's coming back now
and she's an open polygamist andshe knows that some people won't

(39:10):
be happy that they're there. She just hopes that they can
make their quota OK. I can't remember if this is if
Christine asks or why. Like above the nervousness.
And she's like, because this is Saint George.
It's like, OK, that's not a realresponse.
Like, Oh my God, you're so fucking dumb.
Even your sister wives are like, bitch, we're going to an Expo to

(39:31):
sell some jewelry. Like calm your tits.
Like what would somebody going to come up and like, attack you?
Maybe she did something horrible
there and she was told and run out by the town.
Never come back and she's back now and she's scared.
How many lives did Robyn ruin in Saint George?
That's the real question. Oh, this is.
Yeah, that is a good question. We do get a moment with the

(39:54):
leader of the Expo. Did you catch his name?
Jeremy Browning. Oh, Jeremy Browning.
He says that they did get some questions about the Browns being
there, but that the Expo committee decided to allow them
to be there because they are, after all, selling jewelry.
They're not. They're trying to convert people
to plural marriage. So I guess that's very noble of

(40:16):
this for profit organization to allow people to be there to
sell things. And yeah, he's like, they're not
here to promote plural marriage or to promote polygamy.
They're here to sell their jewelry and it's like, but their
jewelry literally is about polygamy.
It's a literally called my sister wife's closet, but OK.
Jeremy Browning. Well, this is it.

(40:38):
I was hoping to get something more out of Jeremy.
I felt like they were showing him and they didn't even need to
like, OK, got it. Like they're sell jewelry and
that's what you decided. Just to get a quote from
somebody else that he kind of made it seem like people thought
about pulling out or not coming if the Browns were there, and
they obviously used him to get a sound bite of them being

(40:58):
discriminated against again. They've got to get us ready for
all the hate that they're going to experience during this.
So much hatred and vitriol being spat their way.
Day one of the Expo starts, come buy your shit.
I just love an Expo built around coming to buy shit.

(41:21):
Most people don't need any of this.
What women want? I guess a lot of women do want a
bunch of shit around, but you know, there was like only a
handful of good vendors there. I'm sure most of it was crap
that's now in a landfill. There was like a smoothie stand
right across from the brown stand that I noticed and there

(41:43):
was like one other food stand that I noticed and then other
jewelry stand. So what women want, it's
basically like, come spend your dispensable income here, I'm
sure. Like come have a smoothie and
browse. Yes, yes.
And we do find out that a lot of people browse.
There's a lot of looky loos. We start out with Meri trotting

(42:06):
on in, she comes skipping on in and she's actually impressed
with how they've set up so far and.
She says actually impressed she had to throw in actually.
She says I didn't have to fix anything major, I might have
just re angled a few things. I'm loling at Meri being the
perfectionist. So she comes in and gives them a
faux compliment that everything is actually good.

(42:29):
And then she's like, I'm just going to do this and do that,
maybe this. And like if there's not room
that it goes away and blah, blah, blah.
And she's got a lot to say. And then she's like, because I'm
a pusher and I'm like. She says because she's a pusher,
I guess. Her, she's so catty.
Herring's teacher. She's such a pusher.
They mention again that with the FLDS being so close to this

(42:50):
location, it is taboo there to be plural, and they are very
worried about how they're going to be perceived there.
They're all nervous, they're very nervous.
One lady walks by the camera and makes like a face.
Like not at the camera, but she might as well have made eye
contact with the camera and done it and broken the 4th wall for

(43:12):
us. Yeah, it looked like she was
like both noticing the shitty jewelry mixed with Sister Wives
and then the camera to the left and was like.
Yeah, she was like tucked. In the space.
Like tucked her chin in into that face so.
Good. So good.
Yes, When they opened the doors, Kody says they got swamped.
But he asks where's the wallet?

(43:33):
And I'm saying Amen, you're there to sell things.
So the looky loos, it is what itis.
It's a hard part of retail. It's a hard part of selling
things. People want to come and look,
but you don't pay your bills on people looking at.
It Robyn works very closely withone lady and they start picking
out charms and going on and on.And the lady was so excited to

(43:55):
buy them and going on and on with Robyn and making her
necklace like whatever the fuck it is they're putting together.
And then she says that she needs
to go and get some money. She needs to go and get the cash
out of the bank to pay for it. And then she leaves and doesn't
come back. Right, yeah, dot dot dot. 30

(44:17):
minutes have gone by at the Expo, they say.
And they haven't. Sold a thing.
They haven't sold one thing in 30 minutes.
But you know, I mean, what? What I've always heard about
shitty jewelry is that it's the long game.
Right, right, right, right, right.
Or maybe that was just Robyn, I don't know.
They have a fishbowl set up on one of the shelves that looks

(44:38):
like it has papers in it, like they're doing some sort of
drawing to win a prize of the, you know, jewelry.
And I'm like, you guys are going to end up losing money on this
because you're giving stuff away instead of like actually
selling anything. Because if I was there, I, I
would be putting my name in the drawing for something free.
Yep. And then I would also be doing
something that I caught out of the side of my little little

(45:00):
pink, pink little little pink eye.
Oh no, my little eye, my little baby blue eye.
It was Janelle holding a couple copies of Becoming Sister
Wives, their book. And I thought, you know what,
Janelle, for as much as I talk shit about her not being good
with money and all of that, that's what they should have is
a stack of books. You buy a book, I'll sign it for

(45:22):
you. You buy a book, I'll give you a
titty photo, like whatever you want, buy a book and well,
whatever. That's probably where they made
really money is selling books. I should say really money, but I
would guess like if I saw them, I would be like, I'm buying a
copy of your book if you sign it and I'm putting my name in
this fishbowl. That's what I would have done.
Same. The lady that you know was

(45:42):
looking at all the charms with Robyn and making her necklace
and you know Robyn took all this time working with her and said
she was going to buy everything there.
She was so excited, I bet you that she didn't realize how much
things cost because it wasn't obvious and it wasn't like put
out there. And then when it came down to
the cost of it and she's like, oh, I'm going to need to go and

(46:04):
get money if I'm looking to buy that.
And I think she probably was like fuck that and didn't come
back. Yeah, sticker shock.
I one time was at a brewery and they had like a maker's market
type of thing, but it was more high end, like, you know, small
businesses. And there was somebody that was
selling products made from their honey lotions and like bars of

(46:27):
soap and this and that. I've bought plenty of that stuff
before, like at the farmers market or, you know, random
places. OK, I'm going to buy this thing.
And I remember getting up to the front and I hadn't looked at
the price. But they also weren't listed
anywhere on the ladies stand. And I want to say it was like
$34 for this thing of lotion or something stupid.

(46:48):
And the only reason I bought it was because I was like too
embarrassed to not to buy it at that point.
But it was way overpriced. And I went back to our table and
my brother-in-law was there who used to have his own bees and I
told him how much it cost. He was like, that's freaking
ridiculous and was like annoyed for me, but I'm like, I have a

(47:09):
feeling that they didn't have the prices very obvious.
It didn't look like it anyway. I didn't see any pricing.
So then what do you do? And you're going to be too
nervous to buy something then because you, you just don't
know. And I don't want to be that
idiot that goes and like can't afford something then.
That's, like, probably the strategy, a part of it, you
know, is to like get the person checked out and have them go,

(47:32):
oh, fuck, I guess I'm doing this.
Yeah, even though they don't want to.
Yeah, like if the prices aren't listed or if the prices aren't
like on the bottom of the item, I just don't even deal with it
anymore because I'm like, they are probably way overpriced and
that's why they're not showing the price.
Agreed. Step daddy Uncle Paul shows up

(47:54):
with Solomon in hand and I was just sad because I didn't see
him with a camera. I thought he would have been
there to document, just like he was taking photos of Robyn's
coochie during her birth. I thought maybe he'd be taking
pictures. He'd be proud of his niece,
granddaughter, stepdaughter. Yes.
Whatever she is, he would have been like, I could take some

(48:14):
pictures of this, but no, he was just carrying Solomon.
Saul's getting carried into the Expo on his 1st birthday.
Absolutely. And this is an opportunity for
Meri to remind us that Saul's birth was when Robyn offered the
surrogacy. So it's been a year since Robyn
offered Meri to carry her child.

(48:34):
Yes, she says that she thinks it's about time for her to bring
it back up with Robyn, and since his birthday is coming up
in a couple of days, they're going to be getting ready
together for the birthday at her house.
And she thinks it'll be a good time to talk about the surrogacy
offer again. Like, OK, we're getting ready

(48:54):
for your son's first birthday. Let's talk about this heavy
topic together right before the party.
Right before the party. But this is how this family is
starting to operate. After the seasons of shows that
we've seen is like production. They have to have the
conversation. They have something lined up.
It was probably scheduled. It was probably pushed by a
producer, frankly, to happen. And it's weird because Christine

(49:15):
does echo what I'm saying about how they really didn't have
conversations or do things outside of filming, which is
bizarre because they're a family, supposedly.
But it's maybe one of the only times that they'll be like,
alone together soon again. Or yeah, that makes sense.
When talking about the Expo some more, Robyn shares feeling

(49:36):
rejection from making pitches and not making sales.
And this was I don't know if it's the first time, maybe it's
not. Let's go with the second to be
kind time where I've liked identified with Robyn.
The reason I'm not good at sales is because I am not good with
rejection and I feel like I can't help but equate not making
a sale or not doing something to actual rejection.

(49:59):
And so it's hard for me, like many people in my life have been
like you should be a salesman. You seem like a natural blah,
blah, blah. And I'm like, just cuz you're
like an over expressive person or a communicator of some sorts
does not mean you're good at sales.
Like when people are like, I just view that this is what
somebody needs and so I'm helping them.
I'm like, I can't delude myself into thinking they need this.
They probably don't. So like, and then when people

(50:23):
don't buy things or because I've been a little entrepreneurial
in the past and it sucks when you're like, make a proposal, go
to a pitch meeting, do all these things and then they don't
work with you. It wears me down.
It makes me not want to do it, you know?
Yeah, I don't think I could do sales just because I am the same
way. Like if somebody doesn't
actually need something, I can't convince them that they do

(50:46):
need it, right? Where I think something like
jewelry could be a little bit more fun because you know,
people already know they don't need it when they're coming in.
It is just like a fun item or they have maybe the extra money
to spend and that's why they're coming to you for jewelry as
opposed to like a car salesman type of situation.

(51:09):
But I don't know, like you got to make a living off of it.
So I guess you still are trying to convince people to buy your
shitty jewelry even though, I don't know, it's a whole like
round round Robyn situation for me.
Yeah, it's more complicated than people make it seem when they
default to You have a nice personality, you should be in
sales. It's like, that's not no, no,
no, no, no, no. Christine talks about how most

(51:33):
of the jewelry at the Expo is cheaper than theirs, so it's
like she's putting the pieces together even more that their
jewelry is probably overpriced and maybe not even just for the
quality. We're making assumptions that
it's overpriced but that it's just expensive.
Like other people that are selling their goods are less

(51:53):
expensive than theirs. Yeah, She says their prices are
too high for the Expo. And the name Sister Wives is
negative. There has a negative connotation
there. And she says that on the couch.
And Robyn kind of looks down and, like, rolls her eyes and
has this, like, her jaw is set.
She's got the Habsburg jaw jutting out.
And you can tell she's annoyed with the comments that are being

(52:15):
made on the couch when they'redoing the interviews.
And Christina's, like, I feel drained.
We've been here so long and I'm feeling drained.
And it is, it is draining when you're, you know, having to be
on and trying to get people excited.
And you have to be excited for every person you talk to.
You have to make them feel like your, your attention is all

(52:37):
about them when really you were there all day talking to the
when I worked at Expo, I remember I went to a resort
afterwards and I was meeting people at this resort and I was
like, I've just met like 2000 people in the last two days.
And now I'm meeting new people. And like the next day I had to
ask everyone what their names were.
And I'm like, I'm sorry. I just, I met so many people and
I am a shell of a human being. It's so much.

(53:00):
Janelle says that 8 hours in, they've sold four pieces of
jewelry and we need to still sell 120 pieces to make it
valuable. And she goes.
But I'm not worried. Yeah, she rolls her eyes and
goes. Yeah, she chuckles.
She chuckles. It it's so great 'cause it's
like, Yep, that's the real shit right there.

(53:22):
It went from they need to sell 100 to now they need to sell 120
to make it valuable like so. The math is already changing
here. Probably because they bought a
couple of smoothies from across the way and they were probably
like $7.00 smoothies or something maybe.
Yeah, their costs went up. We are at the final day of the

(53:43):
Expo and we find out that they sold seven things so far.
Yes. Final day of the Expo.
I'm guessing just day 2, like day one, day 2.
And they sold seven things on the first day, Yeah.
Yeah. Oh boy, Meri says that we have
to sell a lot to break even. OK, Yep, Yep, pointing out the

(54:07):
obvious. Kody asks.
Are we going to be profitable onthis?
And Dingbat Robyn is like, givenwe're out of town, I don't
imagine we're going to be that profitable.
And I'm like that profitable. This isn't one of those things.
Profit is either there or not.
It is a number like PNL is profit and loss.
It's not a thing that you feel like given that you're out of

(54:29):
town, you don't imagine that it's going to be that
profitable. The answer is no, Robyn.
The answer is no. And everybody knows that we're
going to sell 113 pieces of jewelry today.
Well, maybe they will. We get another gem from
Christine here and she says that when she sees Robyn giving her
spiel, she sees the eyes glaze over the people she's talking

(54:53):
to. Yes, she says.
I don't think anything is singing to anyone.
Yeah, it needs when you see something and when you're
shopping for jewelry, it just needs to sing to you.
And I don't think our pieces are singing to anyone.
And that would have been so great to see in person.
Is someone stopping in? You're going to tell them little
story because of course then they show us examples of the

(55:13):
women talking. They just give us a little bit.
It's like not a whole story, but of like, oh, and then this one
symbolizes when the time that I gave Meri a blah, blah, blah
and the time that Christine touched my Hoo ha.
And it's like, my God, like people need stories to know
about what your jewelry's about.
That's not good. No.
God, like it should speak to them about something.

(55:34):
Which is why jewelry generally doesn't need a story that you
get told about it. It speaks to you where it
doesn't. And who wants a bear claw with
four knuckles with dots on top that look like it's supposed to
look like bodies? And you know what it reminds me
of? Like the old Fisher Price toys
where it was like the piece of wood or the person was just like

(55:58):
U-shaped and then the little roundhead on top, the peg kids
or the peg, whatever. That's literally what it looks
like. And it's like, who has four
sister wives? Who else has four sister waves?
Yeah, who's going to wear that?
Yeah. What the fuck were they
thinking? If someone was like asked you,
oh, what does that necklace mean to you?
It's like, oh, it's actually like a logo of a Sister Wives

(56:20):
brand, like. Oh, is this show that I watch
about this polygamist family and let me tell you about it.
Now, by the way, if any of you have one of these pieces of
jewelry, I would desperately, desperately love to have it so.
Right. I would.
I'd be the one telling that story.
This is a necklace from Robyn's collection.
And I have this podcast where I like to talk about it because

(56:43):
it's so ridiculous. It's.
A badge of honor I wear as a deadbeat loser.
Ridiculous. Now we get to meet Susan, who
gives us some precious pearls about this Expo and about her
opinions about the Brown family.
I I happen to like Susan, although if you were to have the
words on or if it was just sounds, you'd be like, she seems

(57:03):
really unlikable. There's something about her
that's not pleasant. She's got Susan has Karen
energy. Yes.
Oh, she has big time Karen energy and she says I have no
respect for them whatsoever. I feel there's a lot of creepy
things going on there. Yeah, like creepy things.
We get this back and forth between Susan quotes and then

(57:26):
Kody quotes for a few minutes here.
So after they show Susan saying that, we cut to Kody saying that
he feels bitter and he's feeling anger and he's sick of
asking for people's approval. He thinks that this is an easy
lifestyle to defend scripturally.
Scripturally, when he talks about how he's sick and tired of

(57:50):
having to defend himself to society.
This is where I struggle with Kody is because I get it to get
a little wound up by that. I, I, I, I think people are
under the impression that their acceptance of me is some sort of
gift or a generosity. And I'm like, no, you can shut
your fucking whore mouth. Right, as if you need their
approval to keep moving on in your life and be happy.

(58:11):
I don't need it any more than you need mine, so fuck you.
Right. And but what I would have to say
to that is, well, you're on a fucking TV show about it.
So like right, like they're I'm.Boiling it down to the basics
for. Sure.
No, I know. And I can understand that as
well. I feel like you get sick of
having to explain your plight topeople when it's not even like

(58:35):
that. Yeah, but I, I feel a little bit
like that as a woman, like having to explain why women are
nervous when a man walks behindthem at night.
Like, go to the opposite side ofthe sidewalk, please, Sir, You
don't need to be coming up behind a woman.
Like walking home at night, thattype of situation, it's like
it's so fucking old having to explain you know, how you feel

(58:58):
to other people all of the time and having to defend it.
OK but you're literally on ATV show trying to explain yourself
like constantly and. You've stated that one of your
goals is to change people's minds, so you're that means
people are not agreeing with youand you're trying to change
their mind. Yeah.
So you are saying you want to explain to people and help them
understand, but that you're sick of it at the same time?

(59:20):
Yeah, I think he's sick of doingit in everyday life, like in
person, like situations and scenarios like this.
But if he gets a broad audience and gets to talk about put it on
the couch and to America through the TV, he doesn't mind.
He.
Doesn't mind that. Yeah.
And once again, like, I can identify that.
It's even almost like I'm not upset about people that would be

(59:42):
blatantly homophobic or call me out in something that wouldn't
be as upsetting to me as someone who makes it seem like they've
actually come to terms with me living my life.
Like good for fucking you. Yeah, it gets tiring having to
educate people when you're like, you should be educating
yourself. But then I look at somebody like
Kody. And I'm like, I don't think you

(01:00:05):
fall under that umbrella. Like this isn't some curse
that's been put upon you. It's like, not like being
anything is a curse, but I just mean that's how he acts about
it. We have come to the conclusion
that Kody is a polygamist because he is a showboat and a
narcissist and he wanted attention and he wanted to live

(01:00:25):
some life where everybody was all about him and he got to get
away with everything. And that's not the same as being
born a race or a sex or a gender or a sexual orientation.
Like it's just he's, it's hard to defend him on this because
when he's saying the things, I'm like, I agree, but it pains
me. I know, I know because you can

(01:00:46):
understand it to an extent. But then when you get down to
the nitty gritty of it, no, you don't fall under the umbrella of
I was Born This Way, baby, youknow?
Absolutely. Like Lady Gaga doesn't have any
songs about Kody Brown. Susan has another wonderful
quote for us. She says polygamy is not a
religion. It is a domineering, weird way

(01:01:08):
for creepy old men to marry young women.
Yes, Susan, yes. So even though her care and
energy is a bit jarring and a little off putting, I'm not mad
about what she's saying. She is Colleen in the future
that can speak more clearly. Yes, that's funny.
She does have. Yeah, like.

(01:01:28):
She has some of that energy. She could take something from
her. This is the future, Colleen.
Susan is the future Colleen. Yep, we go back to Kody.
He says. I'm tired of people trying to
thump their Bibles at me. I know all of the old cool guys
in the Bible had more than one wife and God didn't judge them.

(01:01:50):
Give me a break because I'm
tired of asking for your permission, OK?
Yep, more the same. I mean I agree with him.
I'm tired of people thumping their bibles at me.
But then I'm also not turning around and saying that men from
the Old Testament who had multiple vibes are the reason
I'm cool and I'm good. Like he's talking out of both

(01:02:11):
sides of his mouth. He is.
He's thumping his Bible and then saying don't be thumping yours
at me. Susan has a retort in this back
and forth, which is funny because it's not actually in
person. They're just.
Doing the footage back and forth, Susan says I hate them,
that's all I have to add and walks away.
Yes, Susan snapping. I hate them.

(01:02:32):
So once again, it's like, oh God, you hate them.
Like, I don't know, there's something that you're doing
that's just OK. But also, yeah, like they're
yeah, OK, got. It I also love that they got her
to say all this on camera because it takes a certain type
of person to want to be on camera or allow someone to
record them saying these things on camera.
Yeah. So, you know, she's got the
conviction behind what she's saying, otherwise she'd be

(01:02:55):
embarrassed to be saying it on a TV show.
Yeah, we go to the couch again and Janelle says I'm proud of
you. She's like proud of him for
speaking up and saying these things.
I'm proud of my husband and gets a little worked up about it.
After he says give me a break because I'm tired of asking for
your permission. And that says once again, it's
got this theme that I agree with.

(01:03:16):
I'm tired of asking for your. I don't need your permission to
live my life like fuck you. So I didn't mind seeing Janelle
be proud of Kody for talking like that.
It's just like polygamy. Yeah.
It's gross. I can relate to this in a way
because I have a shit ton of tattoos.
I'm heavily tattooed and I get so sick of people feeling like

(01:03:40):
they have a right to touch me and grab my arm or ask me what
my tattoos mean. And I'm like, I don't have to
fucking explain my tattoos to every Tom, Dick and Harry that
just wants a reason to talk to me.
And I also chose to put them all over my body.
So I feel like I get where you're coming from here because

(01:04:01):
like, I can empathize with him.
Like, yeah, it's that's annoying.
But at the same time, like I didchoose to put those on my body.
So like, I know they're going to
draw some sort of attention. So yeah, I get like kind of warn
about situations like this. Do you ever get anything that
aligns with the permission bit?
Like the first thing I think of is like, Oh my gosh, you're so

(01:04:23):
pretty despite your tattoos. Oh yeah, Does that come up?
One time I was cutting a boy's hair and he was a teenager and
his dad came over and was like kind of supervising and telling
me what to do. And then he looked at his son
like in the mirror across from him and said, don't you ever
come home with a girl that lookslike that and pointed at me.

(01:04:45):
And I was like appalled. I couldn't believe that he said
that right in front of me. And first of all, I'm cutting
your son's hair. Second of all, how dare you?
My Co worker that was standing next to me who is like a little
older than I was, she stopped cutting her person's hair.
And she looked at him and she goes, your son would be lucky to
take somebody like her home ever.

(01:05:05):
She is one of the nicest people that you could ever meet and
your son would be lucky to ever bring someone like her home to
you. And I was like, thank you
because I didn't know what to say in the moment.
And I was really young. I was probably like 19 or 20.
So I didn't really have the balls to like stand up for
myself yet. But This is why I like the hair

(01:05:26):
industry got me like so jaded because people just think that
they can say whatever the fuck they want to you and that you
have to take it because you knowtheir customer.
The things that people will say to your face is insane.
So I can only imagine what has been said to their faces.
And especially after coming out on the show and being, you know,

(01:05:47):
in public and out to dinner and.
The things we say about them on this show.
But like, at the same time, like, yeah, you're putting it
out there. And you know, if you don't want
to hear it, then also don't put it out there.
And now I've got like the balls to be like, OK, fuck off, dude.
But I have had people just like, come up and grab me and grab

(01:06:09):
my arm to look at it and think that that's like, OK to touch
me because of them. And I'm like, don't fucking
touch me. That's weird.
It is weird. And so I think that people,
probably, especially now that this is the sixth season, think
that they have a right to come up to them and just start a
conversation out of nowhere because they're a public figure.
Well, just because you made yourself a public figure here

(01:06:31):
doesn't mean that you want every Tom, Dick and Harry to come
and have a conversation with you when you're out to dinner with
your kids. We don't actually owe you an
explanation on everything. Yeah, it's not.
Just because you're doing something that's available for
public consumption doesn't mean that you are a public commodity
that is indebted to people to the point of owing them whatever
they feel like. Like you don't.

(01:06:53):
This family doesn't. We don't.
You don't. I think that one thing that
they've done really well is drawing the line and talking
about the sex and like they did a very good job of from the
very beginning saying we're not answering questions like that.
We find that inappropriate and just drawing the line because
it's easy for people with their morbid curiosity to cross

(01:07:17):
lines. So I think no, that's one thing
they did from the start that was good.
It's funny as the seasons go on because it becomes more and more
like they teeter on the on theedge of that, like giving some
things where then when they do, you're reminded that they didn't
before. And so it's made me go like
years in the future from this. I'm like, Oh my God, I wish they
would have. I wish they would give more

(01:07:38):
because it's it is one of those things where it's like, well
what the hell is your sex life like?
Titillating to think about otherpeople and like what they're
doing behind closed doors. And I think that when you're on
a reality show, there are some lines that you have to draw.
Yeah, yeah, Christine gives us an update on how they did at the
Expo. Honey, how did they do?

(01:07:58):
Oh my gosh, they sold 19 pieces of jewelry.
Yeah, it's 19, so 1/5 of their minimum goal, as ramen would put
it. Maybe not very profitable or
whatever the fuck she said earlier.
We went out of town, we travelled for it and given the
numbers so far, it's not lookinglike it's going to be very

(01:08:21):
profitable. Right.
Like, Nope, you lost money. That's what that's called.
It's called the lost, not a profit.
And Christine says that doing another Expo would be torture.
The thought of doing another Expo is like torture.
And I listen. I've only done 1.
My God, someone would have to pay me a lot of money to go do
that again. Like people that do it and it

(01:08:42):
works for them, good for them. If it doesn't work for you, it's
rough. It's rough.
Yeah, I've only been to them as a consumer and they're even
rough. Exactly in that when I leave one
I'm usually like I either needfood or a drink or to go to bed
and that's being a person therenot working.
I get annoyed being hounded to buy things like, Oh my God,

(01:09:03):
Everywhere you turn, someone's trying to tap you on the
shoulder and tell you about their product.
Imagine walking by an Expo and you get tapped on the shoulder
by Robyn Brown. And she's like, would you like
to hear about my jewelry? Well, and this little hump here
is me, and this little hump there is Meri.
This hump is Janelle. This hump's Christine.

(01:09:23):
And then you've got Kody walkingaround being like, I'm here to
help or something because he's the salesman.
Kody was always the salesman. I'm putting this in quotes.
Sorry you guys can't see air quotes.
He's the salesman. I wonder how many of the 19
pieces Kody sold. That would be an interesting
stat. Meri, if you're listening,
please tell us. Please let us know.

(01:09:45):
We hear Meri say that she doesn't understand why Robyn
thinks everyone else needs to beinvested like they are in this
business because she knows that her and Robyn are invested in
this, but she just doesn't understand why Robyn is pushing
so hard on it. And especially after a weekend
like this, you know, you got everyone involved.

(01:10:07):
It didn't go well. And yeah, they gave it a fair
shot. Yep, take it as a learning
opportunity. And Meri acknowledges it could
just be her and Robyn. They're the ones that want to do
it the most. And Christine has a sound bite
here. That's really something.
I don't really know what makes me feel something, but maybe I'm

(01:10:28):
just confused. I don't know, she says.
I see Meri and Robyn having a tight bond and I want that, but
the amount of work it takes to have a tight bond with them is
something that's really hard. I know I'm missing out on strong
committed relationships and it's like, I don't even know.

(01:10:48):
I felt it was hard because at first it seemed like she was
talking about committed relationships period.
Like across the board like that. She feels like relationships are
hard and working for things istoo much.
And then I'm like, but is it just about Meri and Robyn?
Because at this point, I don't even think that she's close with
Janelle. Nowadays.
Everyone's like, oh, Christine and Janelle are super close.

(01:11:09):
And like, I don't think they were that super close.
I think that they work together as sister wives to raise
children and run a household. But I don't think they're like
super tight. I don't think so.
I think they just worked well together for a long time,
especially with Christine being, you know, the one that was
taking care of the children and teaching the children.
And then Janelle went out into the workforce and then came

(01:11:31):
home. And I think that they
appreciated each other. Yes, I think they had a good
like symbiotic relationship. Agreed.
And then I think as they got older and as their kids got
older and the kids are taken outof the picture, that things fell
off with them a little bit. And then now they're close
again, it seems like. But I think that they kind of,
yeah, just had like, this symbiotic relationship, not

(01:11:53):
necessarily a strong friendship relationship.
But I think what Christine is saying here is that she sees
that at least two of the sister wives, Meri and Robyn, have this
tight bond. And she's realizing that she
does not have that right now. But she knows that it would be
really hard to have it given thecircumstances, which is why

(01:12:15):
she's harping on like, needing to be closer to each other and
needing to have the homes closer.
I think what she is probably feeling is the need to just get
physically close again so that they can get emotionally close
again and she obviously knows something's going on and not

(01:12:35):
working out. And even if that emotional
closeness isn't best friends or whatever, the way that her and
Janelle did work, like being near each other on a daily
basis, getting your machine welloiled and whatever you do feel a
closeness, even if it isn't that, you know, bosom buddies,
scissors sisters, bestie vibes, it's it is something so I can

(01:12:55):
feel that. And to have that relationship
kind of in your face and know that they're working together
nicely and knowing you don't have that, like obviously you're
going to notice that something's different.
It was an interesting sound bite.
It felt dramatic, but also kind of like Christine.
She's dramatic. I don't know it, I don't know, I

(01:13:17):
don't know where to put it. At the end of last season and
then obviously throughout this episode, she's having these come
to Jesus moments with herself and realizing who she kind of is
as a person and who she is in the family and that something's
got to give, but she's not quite sure what yet.

(01:13:38):
After Christine sound bite we get some more lovely words from
Robyn and she says I know for us to be successful and united
as a family, we need to be in business together.
And I was like WTF? If ever I've heard a WTF moment
on this show, it is. You know, for the family to be

(01:14:00):
successful and united, they needto be in business together.
I'm sorry, the vast majority of most people are not in business
with their family like I do not.
She's just trying. She's grasping at any straw to
make this thing happen so that she can work part time and
expect everyone else to do all this work.
I guess. Yeah, I don't know.
It's a very weird thing to say.

(01:14:21):
She says that she thinks it would help her learn how to
speak with Janelle and Christineif they work together, and she
thinks that it will help keep the family together.
This isn't just about business, it's about keeping the family
together. Yeah, she says that she prays
for inspiration from God to speak to Christine and Janelle

(01:14:43):
and Kody in this way. Like, OK, I mean, I, I guess I'm
not going to shame anybody fortheir prayers, but like, bitch,
why aren't you praying for waysto speak to your family in ways
that you speak to your family? Like, not about the business.
Like, she's a mess. She's a disaster.
She's trying to make Fetch happen, trying to make this my

(01:15:08):
sister Webb's closet work out. Oh.
God, Robyn. She's just a hoping.
She's hoping And a brand. Yeah.
And now we're going to go to Meri's house, where Robyn shows
up early to Saul's first birthday party.
We've got Meri. You know how they like to show
her? Scrubbing the counter, jostling
up some things, moving some decor, some decorations.

(01:15:30):
And then Robyn comes in with Saul on her hip looking like
she's barely able to function coming into the house.
And it is interesting. I don't want to say interesting.
They've got, Meri's got the like
1 year old birthday party decorations on the island.
And at first I was like, are they just getting together to
prep or like plan for the party?
But then it's like, no, the party's actually happening.
Like I didn't feel like that wasreally all that clear to me.

(01:15:52):
But then it became clear. Yeah, they're setting up for the
party and they did tee this upearlier in the episode when Meri
said, oh, I think it's going to be perfect timing since it's
been a year since the offer wasmade.
I'm going to talk to her when we're getting ready for the
party, so the moment is here. The.
Moment's here for a crucial conversation, and Meri tells

(01:16:13):
Robyn that she's struggled because she doesn't know where
she stands on having a baby. She says she feels guilty if she
decided not to take Robyn up on her offer.
Yeah. I mean, OK, that's what she
wanted. She wanted you to feel that way.
This.
Is it? If you take your up on it, then
she's doing this wonderful thing for you.

(01:16:35):
And if you don't, then wow, you didn't even take me up on my
surrogacy. Offer.
Yeah. I mean, it's your fault you
don't have another baby. You could have had one.
I could have helped you out. I offered and Robyn says I just
wanted you to have a choice. Every woman should have the
choice, and you didn't have that before.
Sounds very woke for Robyn. She also says I would be excited

(01:16:59):
to have kids with you. I imagined raising my kids with
sister wives, Like, that's what you're doing, isn't it?
They don't need to have kids the same age as you.
She says Janelle and Christine don't want any more kids, and
I'd love to do it with you. What she's implying here is that

(01:17:20):
because Janelle and Christine's kids aren't her new baby's age,
they're not technically raising kids together.
Truly is 3 at this point. And Saul's turning one.
Yeah, you could be raising your kid with Christine's kid.
You're raising all the kids as a family.
I'm so fucking confused by this.

(01:17:42):
She's got Brianna, Aurora and Dayton.
These kids are the same age as Janelle and Christine's younger
children. I mean, this is not like there's
like all of the kids are like different generations, Like
that's not happening here. No, it's like we have some
pregnancy packed type of thing that she is implying.
Like she'd rather have a baby baby with somebody and raise

(01:18:03):
babies at the same time. Oh, so those two babies are
going to be raised differently as siblings because.
Why? Because now she's part of this
family. Yeah.
So it's like her new crop. It's like her second crop of
children. That's literally what it feels
like, yeah. Absolutely.
And she wants to do it with someone else.
That's why she wanted Sister Wives, she claims.
You know, whatever. That's literally what you're

(01:18:25):
doing. You have sister wives, now raise
your children together. Yeah, you could be doing it
right now when you're not. Figure out how to talk to
Christine without talking to herthrough the business.
Yes, you dumbass. What a great example of
something that they could be building a relationship on
having their kids come together. We've talked about this multiple
times. Have play dates, have dinner
dates, do the thing, build a relationship.

(01:18:46):
You don't have to be the closestpeople to have a perfectly
adequate relationship with someone.
A perfectly fulfilling relationship in multiple ways.
And guess what, Truly is 3 at this time.
Saul just turned 1. If you even got pregnant right
now, if they got Meri's egg and Kody's firm and you got pregnant
the first time that they did in vitro with you, Robyn,

(01:19:08):
because she's saying Meri's saying she would still want the
baby to be her egg. By the time that were to happen,
Saul would be at least 2. So guess what?
Your kids have the same age gap as Truly and marries So what the
fuck are you even talking about?

(01:19:29):
It reminds me of like when friends because their sister
wives, it is different, but this is it.
Yeah. Like you said, pregnancy pack,
like when girlfriends that are not girlfriends, friends that
are girls get pregnant at the same time and they're so excited
about it because it's like all these things can happen, you
know? But it wouldn't be that way
either way. If you're carrying her baby, you
can't be carrying. Right, it's not she's not having

(01:19:50):
her own baby. Yeah, although she would know
that from some of Robyns language.
She's so dumb. And it is.
There's so many elements to this because, like, Meri says she
always saw herself having a boy.
Yeah. And then is looking at little
Saul. Yes.
Like, who's playing with the window blinds.
Yeah. And she's like, I wonder if Saul
is my version of that, experiences Saul.

(01:20:10):
And I'm like, just like you weresaying.
Yes. Hello.
Why aren't you doing that right now, helping to raise him as
your own son, I thought. That you guys did.
I thought that was the whole point.
That's their whole point, supposedly.
Yeah, and she wonders if having this close bond with him is what
she's going to need to just satisfy her craving for a baby.

(01:20:31):
Then go over fucking and also, I
hate to say it, but it's like, what are you people fucking
doing all day? Go over and watch The Price is
Right every God damn morning that you feel like it was
solved. Take him off of his mom's hands
for a few minutes. You know what I mean?
Like enjoy the time. Like there's just so many things
that could solve these people's problems so easily.
It's really just spending some time together.

(01:20:51):
Well then she says too. I'm 42 and I'm still not sure.
And here I am talking about this at 42.
I mean, she wouldn't be the first person to have a baby in
her early 40s. But if that's a big motivator
for you, I mean, many people don't want to be continuing to
raise their children into their 60s.
Like, it's very reasonable to be like, I'm not going to do
this. It's too late in my life.

(01:21:12):
I think we've said it before, but I think it's very obvious
here that she does not want to have a baby.
And she even uses past tense when she's talking about in
vitro. It just makes me think,
obviously, that the decision's already been made because you
wouldn't be speaking in past tense at all.
And then they're kind of both crying and Robyn says again, You

(01:21:36):
offered me a choice with Meri and Kody, and I wanted you to
have a choice, too. And then the party starts.
Everybody. Yep, I love this show because
then it's like, OK, there was this somber moment that we're

(01:21:57):
supposed to maybe feel something, although what all I
felt was a little nauseous. And then all of a sudden it's
like party, everyone's here, hats are on, people are throwing
things, yadda yadda. Because of course it's brown
family chaos. So everything seems disjointed
in nuts. I didn't notice what food they
were eating or with what disposable utensils, but that's
fine. I didn't like.
I need to move on. No, because this next part is so

(01:22:21):
disgusting that I didn't notice anything else.
All I noticed was what they do next.
Yes, Robyn has everyone write down their hopes and wishes for
Sauls life on little pieces of paper, little whatever pieces of
paper. And then they're reading some of
them. And, you know, sometimes it's
such an eloquent person. It's such a thoughtful,

(01:22:41):
insightful person. Sometimes I just get disturbed
by people's things. Like, I hope he's happy.
Like, that's what you wrote down, you fucking moron.
Yeah, but whatever. So they all write their well
wishes on these pieces of paper and their goal.
They're not doing anything cute with them, like, oh, let's put
him in a scrapbook for him to read when he turns.

(01:23:02):
That's. What I thought they were going
to be. Doing right something.
I totally thought that it was for him.
Like when you are going to college, when you're where Logan
is today, we're going to give you this book and all of your
family wrote down what they hoped for you in your life.
Like that would be a thoughtful gift.
Or put in his baby book A scrapbook.
Yeah. Absolutely, but no.
Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope. We got to add to the landfills.

(01:23:27):
We got to add to the trash on
the streets of Vegas. I was going to say, we're not
even making it to the landfill.
We're making it into the mouths of birds and into the lakes and
the streams and the desert and the oceans and the forests.
We are about to see something magical.
Oh magical. They are going to tie these well

(01:23:47):
wishes onto the strings of balloons.
Yes, they are. And we're going to walk out into
the backyard and they're goingto let those bushes go and let
them fly up into the sky just like when they had their.
I feel like Robyn's trying to remake the snowflake kite moment
that has like haunted us and been shown at every finale.

(01:24:10):
And now it's going to be this. It's going to be.
Like remember that time And it'slike, OK, I have been to a
funeral for a an infant where wedid this and it was very moving
and touching because it was like, Oh my gosh, like a once in
a lifetime moment. Not we wrote scrap some paper
and let them go into the air forno reason to pollute and kill

(01:24:32):
animals and Oh my God. And the balloons were like a one
year old's birthday party balloons.
So they were all different colors.
And it was red, yellow, blue, like all the priMeri colors.
So dumb. It was so dumb.
Yeah, I hate that shit. I do too.
I honestly was like, I think we knew better at this time too.
It's 2015. Yeah, I'm pretty sure we knew

(01:24:53):
better. We knew better if it calls for
it. I'm not even going to be a hater
if it's something that it works for.
In my opinion, this is definitely.
This isn't even close to that. Well, they have different ways
of doing it now. I think they have like
biodegradable balloons and like different things that you could
do that are more environmentally friendly.
I just think in 2015 there were probably better options.

(01:25:16):
Oh yes, in 2015 I was aware thatyou're not just supposed to let
balloons go into the atmosphere, but like I said, for
a significant enough reason, I wouldn't say a word for this.
Fuck you. Yep.
Yep, Yep, Yep. We're getting close to the end
of the episode, everybody, and you know what we have to do with

(01:25:37):
the Brown family, We're getting to the end of an
episode. Where do we have to go?
Where do we always end episodes and seasons and start seasons?
We have to go to the cul-de-sac.
Yet again. Oh my God.
When they get to the cul-de-sac,Kody tells us that he's hoping
we'll be in the homes by Christmas.
So we're all going to draw namesfor gifts right here, right now

(01:26:00):
for the holidays. We were told at the beginning of
this episode we were 60 days from Christmas.
I understand the symbolism here.I think it's a bit much.
I think it's 60 days before Christmas.
So you're talking like almost two months before Christmas.
Maybe that's not early. I don't know.
I don't think I've ever drawn names for Christmas gifts at the

(01:26:21):
beginning of November. But you know, Meri's probably
got him. I wonder if she's still making
the pajamas for everybody at this point.
She probably is, but that has nothing to do with this.
I don't. Know who knows when this was
actually shot too? It could have just been a good
way for them to wrap season 6 episode one.
Yeah, that makes sense. Logan was there and I'm curious
if Logan came home for Saul's birthday.

(01:26:42):
You know when you go off to college and you are in November
at the beginning of November ofyour first year of college?
Are you going home for a one year old's birthday?
It's only 30 minutes away. Yeah, I know.
I'm such a bad person. I still would probably.
No, I might. I probably would go home.
What am I saying? I mean, it's Logan.
He definitely would. Yeah, he's much better person
than me. Yeah, they always draw names

(01:27:02):
every year, I guess, for Christmas gifts.
And it's an exciting thing to do.
And everyone gets all jazzed about it.
And so they thought it would be a good way to get the kids
excited and keep them invested and keep the hope alive.
And Christine literally says, like, yes, we're doing this to
give them that little tidbit of this is happening, it's

(01:27:25):
happening. Give them some hope.
They have to keep giving their kids these.
False. These things, I guess yes.
Maybe it's not false, maybe it'sjust fabricated.
I don't really know. It's weird.
Leon says that all they want forChristmas is to be in the home.
Yeah, I don't want anything else
for Christmas. So selfless of Leon.

(01:27:46):
That's what everyone says about Leon.
Totally selfless. Anyway, another clip when
they're going, they're showing a couple of the kids responses
and Leon had this one. Another one that stood out to me
that was so cute was Savannah. Little Savannah.
And she's sitting on the couch and she's talking about how
she's excited to walk to the other homes instead of asking
for a ride. And she's like, I just don't

(01:28:07):
want to. I have to ask my mom for a ride
when I want to go over to Christine's house.
And I was like, that's so adorable.
And I have a soft spot for Savannah because she's so cute.
Yes, other than the box of rocks, but.
Well, she did ruin your life with that box of rocks.
But, and you know, whoever she got for the name this year,
we'll have to see. We'll have to see.
And it better be better be worth my time.

(01:28:30):
Better be better than a box of rocks.
Oh my God, that's hilarious. Oh, Savannah, if you're if you
ever listen to this as an adult, and I apologize for all the
terrible things we've said about your family, but just know
that your box of rocks severely damaged Kimber.
But I'm OK with it. I'm fine.
Oh my gosh, I just, it's one of the funnier things.
Of course, you know, to wrap up the episode, the parents talk

(01:28:53):
about being all in on making this happen for their family.
They'll do whatever it takes, even work multiple jobs.
Oh, that's right, Janelle says a little.
Even if we have to work three jobs and it's like Robyn doesn't
even work one job. Yeah, but also that has no like
bearing on if the homes will be finished or not.

(01:29:16):
What is your third job going to be going and working this
fucking construction site? Hammers and nails, yeah.
Making some holes in your walls so your kids can get in their
bedrooms. It doesn't matter how many
tricks Robyn turns on the street, their house is going to
be done when it's done. Although maybe Robyn could go
give the foreman at the construction site a little bonus

(01:29:37):
for being done ahead of time. Oh there you go, that might help
get things moving. Or he would just be like I never
want to see this crazy bitch that offered me ABJ behind the
toilet port a potty again. So we're going to finish these
fucking homes now, everybody. And he will be dealing with that
blowjob the rest of his life. Oh.

(01:29:58):
Snap. OK darling.
Oh, because he will just be so satisfied and have all the fond
memories. Oh, this is all alleged.
This is a story we're making up in our own minds.
Our own imaginations are coming up with this.
Robyn did not offer the foreman a blowjob behind the porta
potty. OK, we made this up.
Special shout out to our legal department.

(01:30:19):
I think it's time for your mustard seed and shit stain.
Which is funny because we are asking others to contribute
their mustard seed and shit stain on this episode.
Friendly reminder, if you're listening right now, pull up
whatever you're listening to and leave us a comment.
Who's your mustard seed and who's your shit stain?
We'll see if you have any similarities to ours.
I have a suspicion that there will be.

(01:30:40):
I am so excited to read these because this is one of those
episodes where they're kind of all over the place.
Again, we talk about a few different things, so there's a
lot of options here. Absolutely, there are some
options. Would you like me to go first?
OK. As is tradition sometimes.

(01:31:01):
My shit stain. I'm going to start with a shit
stain. Oh yes.
It goes to Robyn. Oh, yeah.
I don't think that's a shock at all, the surrogacy offer being
brought up again. She just wanted to give, you
know, an option to marry. Just wanted you to have the
option. Yeah.
OK, we get it, you want her to be indebted to you regardless of

(01:31:22):
what decision she makes because she already said she'll feel
guilty if she doesn't. But if she does, she's probably
going to be, you know, your little bitch rest of her life.
Like either way, Meri fails here.
Same thing with the business. The business is failing.
Robyn's going to start blaming the rest of the family because
she's not getting their support anymore.
Everyone's kind of backing out and they're all failing her.

(01:31:44):
So her business is failing. She is just a failure all the
way around and multiple senses of the word.
She won't take ownership for it.
Good shit stain. She's a shit stain.
My shit stain is going to go to her loving husband, her devoted
husband, Kody Brown, because heis filling Robyn's head with

(01:32:08):
delusions and illusions about this business.
And if he stopped doing that because he has said in this
episode that he doesn't even enjoy it.
So as far as a hobby business, he's not signed up.
But she is allowed to have this fucked up mindset because of
him, not only about the business, but about the
surrogacy with Meri. It's like he's continuing to put

(01:32:31):
on this pressure about things with Meri.
And I guess in this episode theydidn't knock us over the head
about him saying that they have to make a decision and blah,
blah, blah. But I feel like a big reason
Robyn gets to be so out of touchwith reality is because Kody's
like, whatever you need to hear.Delulu girl, my beautiful wife,
I'm just as crazy as you. I don't know if he did anything

(01:32:53):
all that terrible this episode as far as specific things.
Yeah, he feeds the delusions forsure, but then also him just
coming out and saying that he hates this and it's not fun for
him. I'm like, you have been egging
her on like what the fuck? So you're just willing to pour
money down the drain to make herhappy but now you're backing out

(01:33:15):
again just like you backed outof the idea for the gym for
Janelle. He kind of doesn't ever help
them follow out their dreams, but gives them the false hope
that there could be a dream thatplays out just like he does for
his fucking kids. And it could be the edit, but we
didn't see him providing any rationale to Robyn or backing up

(01:33:38):
a rationale about like Janelledoes need to do something else.
Christine doesn't like we need
to be doing other things. He was more than happy to say
that to Christine last episode, being like, we're all stressed
and we're all whatever. But then when the other wives
are like, I think I should be doing something that's money
making and probably more aligned to my own interests, he should
be backing that up. Then he.
Really should. He gets my shit stain.

(01:34:00):
Mustard seed, darling. What are you going to put in the
ground and watch grow? I think that I have been doing
this a lot lately, but Christine is going to get my mustard
seed. Yeah, OK.
She is just, I don't know if she's been on one, like she's
just been on one in a way that makes me happy.

(01:34:21):
She says something about the tight bond between Meri and
Robyn and how she's recognizing that she's going to have to put
in more work and that it's a lot of work if she wants to have
that. OK, You're being honest with
yourself here, OK? OK, OK, OK.
She also comes out and says thatshe can see people's eyes

(01:34:42):
glazing over when Robyn's givingher spiels to them.
And that had me cracking up because she's saying this stuff
on the couch in front of Robyn.Like she's been saying this
stuff and it's so funny to me. Christine says that if she's not

(01:35:02):
groaning during the meeting, if she doesn't get up and roll
her eyes and walk out, that she is showing support.
So she says a couple of these really funny, almost just like
rude things that I can't believeshe's saying out loud.
She's just literally saying the the funniest shit that I'd be
embarrassed to say in front of someone, Like, oh, I might hurt

(01:35:24):
their feelings, but she just doesn't give a shit anymore.
And I love that. And then she also has like, oh,
the best little mistake ever getting my little library.
Yes, yeah. That's true.
That's true. She just was funny again this
episode. I like her little quips she's
been sharing with us lately. She did make me laugh out loud
more than once, so that's a goodthing.
Yeah. My mustard seed is going to go

(01:35:46):
to Janelle. I'm giving my little precious
seed for Janelle to water. She is earthy.
She likes to do gardening. Love that.
In the conversations, similar tolike Christine, she's trying to
be honest about how she needs to have income and that her
interest is something that she already went and took courses,
took test prepared for it and all this stuff that she wants to

(01:36:07):
do to make money. Now, will she make money doing
that? That's another story.
But she is letting Robyn know how it should be and what it
should be, and I appreciate that.
I also appreciated her joking about the Expo and when she was
like, yeah, we've got to sell like 120 of these.
And I'm not nervous about that at all.

(01:36:27):
She looked right at the camera and it was at the Expo, Wasn't
on the couch. Yeah, it was like while she was
sitting in the booth area and Oh my God, that was great.
She was being very honest and very funny about that.
I also assumed that we didn't see footage of her home because
she probably went with the flow.
I mean, even the rooms that didn't have doors, she was OK

(01:36:48):
with. You know, I guess maybe I have a
little bit of a low bar for Janelle.
I just need her to give me a little, a little a little
something in an episode and I can give her my mustard seeds.
So thank you for that, Janelle.
I think that her and Christine are both just kind of over shit
in their own way and they're showing it in their own little
ways. Yeah, absolutely.
Our keep sweet moment this week comes to us from YouTube.

(01:37:10):
It is a comment from Sharon Brooks 1847.
Hi, Sharon Brooks, 1847. Hello.

(01:37:53):
you have up until the next episode drops to give us your
mustard seed and shit stain. So just a quick reminder,
YouTube, Spotify, Patreon, go onto this episode.
Leave us your mustard seed and shit stain.
Kimber's going to do random drawings, yes, and give away 2
fabulous hand towels. They're going to be glorious.

(01:38:16):
You're going to want these, you're going to want to hang
them in your kitchen, your bathroom, and I'm going to make
them with a cricket. And you pointed out that Meri
was using on the mirror in the Expo.
She was putting a decal on with what looked like a cut out from
a cricket. So you know what?

(01:38:36):
Meri possessed me and I am just ready to get down with the
Browns and make these towels fory'all.
This isn't the first time the Spirit of Meri has possessed
you. No, usually it's the spirit of
our crusty hair.
