family dinner we're at each other's throats, like we are arguing.

It brought me back to when we were teenagers and
we got along and we were so lovely to each
other because we all liked the same things. We could
all get around the same celebrities. At one point my
husband was like, I think I prefer when they fight

Hillary Duff? Like that was my God, I forgot about
this song.

Look, arguably that was the most embarrassing CD until we
found the handmade one. So, Kate, you had spent time
making Sophie a CD which had a photo of Dean

The Real Winner's Journey, obviously in reference to the fact

I did not take out the crown for Australian Idol

Dean Guy and it just cracked me off because his
husband there was like, are you trying to flirt with
him or something like that?

And then yeah, as a joke, and I was like, oh, well,
yeah I am. You're like, I'll call you pick up

He was like, of course, I'm not, like this is
actually this is making us look so fucking tragic.

Well. Also, I mean, I think his partner is a
couple of weeks away from having their baby, so I'm

I actually think the wasabi was the lowest moment of
the night because we were actually trying to auction off
the CD, so it was who want this one? And
our partners were shocked because we were fighting over who
was getting witch CD and our Brandon was like, please,

I actually think the lowest point of the night was
when we remembered that we went to the Young Divas
signings and our partners were like, why did you do that?
We're like, there wasn't much going on. I mean we
were eighteen at the time. The age was the saddest part.

laugh at how old we were, I read a recent

went along to signings or were really heavily invested in
particular musicians. Can I call the Young Divas musicians? Yes,
stands of artists, a lot of great singers and the young.

into journalists. So is that because they're good at hounding people?

So clearly she had some concerns. I mean, at the
time she said she needed a little bit more time

I'm so confident about it, Like what's happened in between?

He actually received free f as and also free accommodation
as part of it. He did tell the brand that
he wouldn't be restricted by what he wanted to say

over the coverage, But when Beck pulled out of the surgery,

reason Josh documented on his podcast was because Beck was
on the trip, and I wouldn't be surprised if this
was all a ploy for pr from Beck. I mean,

she's been very good at maintaining attention off the back
of Maths. She was one of the most hated contestants
on there and suddenly is now like the most followed,
the person that's getting all of the brand deals. And
she's smart. She knows in order to do that, she's
going to stay in the headlines and create drama.

All these twists and turns in drama because now that

I just want some privacy right now. It's like, hang on,

you just had this free surgery that you said you
were going to be really open and honest about. You're
on this all expenses paid trip from the brand, and
now suddenly you're silent for two days. I mean, my
first thought was, has something gone wrong with the surgery?
That's what she wants everyone to think, because she wants
everyone to go in and keep checking in on her page,
keep engaging with her content. Not only is it good

pr for Beck, it's also fantastic pr and engagement for
Josh Fox's podcast because he now has an opportunity to
eventually interview her again. It added an element of drama
to his podcast at the end of the series that
he needed, and then it also got the media writing
about the fact that she pulled out. I wonder how
the brand feels about it, because if I was someone

contemplating having this surgery done and I was looking on
at Beck's page, I wouldn't feel ultra confident with going
with this company, because not only did she back out
after going to the hospital. But then she's also gone
silent after having the surgery. But is this a case
of all publicity is good publicity. I don't think that
beck really cares what the brand thinks. I think it's

all about Beck and whatever is best for her personal brand.
She's got the free surgery, now she's got the trip.
She doesn't need to continue in pressing them. It's not
like she can go and get the surgery done again.

Let's get into what's been blowing up our group chat
this week, and one of the posts that's been doing
the rounds is one from Brooklyn Beckham. So if you
thought the door dash ad he recently did was cringe,
this new post takes the cake. He shared a post

to Instagram entitled congratulations Kenya and will we love you
guys so much? You guys are the best and I
couldn't be more happy for you both.

Will is Brooklyn's brother in law, who is married to
Kenya Kinsky Jones, the daughter of legendary music producer Quincy Jones,
so you know they're quite a big deal. However, they
did not feature in one single photo of this photo.

When I looked at these photos, if I hadn't read
the caption, I would have thought that Brooklyn and Nikola
had got remarried, because there was even shots of them
walking down the aisle.

And I know there's an etiquette around posting wedding content,

Excited and they want to post their own couple photo
before the big announcement. I get that. Was that the case, Like,

shared a photo of the couple to her photo dump,
which she shared on the same day. Now, the comment

section was absolutely savage. On Brooklyn's post, someone wrote a
Kenya and Will in the room with us and this
received twelve thousand likes. Someone else wrote, who are you congratulating?
All these pictures are of you, while another person said
congratulations Kenya and Will, here's four thousand photos of me.
It is funny when you get married and you see
the photos people share from your wedding, Like, do you

think that Will and Kenya were like, look at these
arrogant twas, like we shouldn't have invited them.

I just don't know what Brooklyn is doing with his

they're trying to prove how in love they were.

that have been doing the rounds of our group chat
are photos of Harry Styles and his fiance Zoey Kravitz,
as well as Joe Olwyn and actress Sarah Pigeon randomly
picnicking in the same field in the UK. Now, this
isn't acute double day or anything. These are on two

separate occasions, but people have noticed that they're in the
same field.

So the photos were reportedly taken in the grassy meadows
of Hampstead Heath and this is a really wealthy area
in the UK. Now, fans have accused Harry and Joe
of calling the paps on themselves, and the reason they
think they have done this is to take the shine
away from Taylor Swift's much anticipated wedding to Travis Kelsey,
which is allegedly happening this week, because they are both

ex's of Taylor Swift. I didn't even put two and
two together. I call bullshit on this though. This is
not the behavior that we're used to seeing from Joe Olwen.
He didn't even want to be seen with Taylor Swift.
He's very anti the paparazzi. Look, I think it's a
long bow to draw that they did this to try
and take attention away from Taylor Swift's wedding. But it
does look like these shots have been set up. I mean,

what are the chances that the paps are just hanging
around the meadows of Hamstead Heath like these photos were
taken long lens like in the grass exactly the same spot,
And a lot of Brits have been saying no one
in their right mind would picnic in these fields, especially
because there's the heat wave going on in the UK.

They said these fields are filled with ticks, like why
would we even go there for privacy because they don't
want to be picnicking where everyone else is. Wouldn't it
be more of a case of Zoe Kravitz and Sarah
Pigeon calling the paps like I don't think Harry and
Joe would and as you said, they're not doing it
because of Taylor's wedding. Well, the only thing that makes
me think that these photos haven't been set up is

the fact that Joe's new girlfriend Sarah is puffing away
on a vape and like, esscially I just had in
my head.

very interesting timing because we all know that Lily Brown's wedding,

actual real wedding, is coming up in a few weeks. Look,
I don't think Sky Wheatley's getting a guernsey. I don't
think her and Lily were ever that close. Sky was
only a part of that friendship group because of her
close connection to Michael. And I was personally really thrilled
for Sky because she has spoken recently on her podcast
about how upsetting this friendship breakdown has been for her.
So just for a bit of background, they had a

falling out back in September twenty twenty two, and that
was after Michael shared a clip of Sky talking negatively
about OnlyFans creators in her vlog. How was this four
years ago? Because I remember covering this story in depth.
I think we were actually the ones who first reported

conversation out, considering you know that they're friends and it
was a private conversation. It actually reminded me of the
recent situation with Sam Guggenheimer and Bill Barker, that drama
around that fat phobic comment that Sam left in her
vlog that hung out Bill to dry. The difference with
that situation is in that recording that Sam chose to share,

Bill said please don't share that, and she said, no,
I want to share this on my TikTok. Like when
it came to Sky, Sky was just going for it.
She didn't even mention anything about don't put this in there.

think that Bonnie Blue has totally changed the game because
people have been really appalled by the length that she'll

that she has preyed on underage boys at schoolies and
even more recently this whole pregnancy stunt. Yeah, and I
think the cancelation of Anna Paul has also added to it.

Back to Sky and Michael, I'm assuming it's Michael who's
made the first steps to rekindle this friendship, because Skuy
has spoken her podcast about how Michael actually blocked her
and she would love to reach out and be friends again,
but he's really stubborn when it comes to friendship breakdowns,
So I'm assuming the only way that they've had this
refollow is for him to unblock her. Michael seems really

savage when it comes to friendships, like he is definitely
known as the blocker, Like he's previously blocked Lily Brown.

It seems like he had issues with Shanny, so I'm
wondering if he blocked her.

than blocking someone. I've done that to you guys a

block someone. So he caught up with a friend of
his who'd been seeing a girl, and the guy's like,
now night's all off. Now I've actually blocked her, And
Matt was like, what the fuck? Like, what did she
actually do to deserve a block?

No shade to Matt, but he in time I used
to block each other all the time. Or were we
thinking it was Timmy that was blocking him? It was
Tammy he was blocking him all the time. Clearly, my
husband has been known to block people like people he's
no longer in a relationship with. But I think it's
more about protecting himself because he just doesn't want to
see their stuff anymore. I think it's a bit full
on to block someone. I think unfriend them. But when

you block someone, it kind of seems like they've done
something really bad, Like say the person cheated on you
block them, But if things ended amicably, then why block them?

I'm also the same when it comes to removing photos
of people. Sometimes it looks like you care more if
you remove every single evidence of that person from your

someone and then you become friends again, and it's super
awkward having to do the unblock because it's a bit
like there's a bit to it, yeah, and then having
to refriend them again.

surprised her followers by announcing the arrival of her.

A couple of weeks ago, followers were convinced that the
former Big Brother contestant and her dentist boyfriend Ned were
having a boy after they appeared to have a blue
color scheme at their baby shower. Yeah, they actually found
out the gender of their baby pretty early on, but
they kept her under wraps and at their baby shower
back in May, both Tully and Ned were wearing blue.

The invites and events stationery also featured blue, and blue
was a big part of the floral design, so people
were like, hang on, they.

At the time, Tully was forced to address the gender
speculation on Instagram, she wrote, all right, inspector gadget calmed
down is twenty twenty six. Blue doesn't automatically mean boy.
In all honesty, I wanted to match the invites and
floral inspo. I sent a floss and flur and Ned
brought his shirt from Benroy at ten am the morning
of No More, No Less. But you believe whatever you

like with the winking emoji, I reckon they were trying
to get everyone off the scent that it was a girl.
So it's really ned that's fucked things over, though, by
the sound of it is he left this purchase to
the last minute, not surprising. Yeah, I probably didn't even
know what the decorations were looking at. But let's get
into the announcement because it was very sweet. So Tully
of course broke the news on Instagram, writing, Elkie iris

wrought you are the sweetest cherry on top of the
most delicious Sunday and your mum and dad are pretty
tough that you chose us. When I saw her announcement,
I was like, why didn't I write something cool like that?
Speaker 1 (24:24):
I just did the typical you know, the name, the date,
how much they weighed.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
And now I've realized that that I don't feel like
that's really dorky to do to list the weight.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
For some reason, I'm like, why did I do that?
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Am I like in the fucking eighties and nineties, like
writing a newspaper advertisement. I feel like it's Yeah, I
feel like it's all the oldies that want to know
those details like the weight and length of the baby.
I'm assuming some people don't share the date of birth
because they're worried about like identity theft. I mean, it's
interesting because before the birth of her daughter, Tully spoke
a lot about the internal battle she was having about

whether she was going to show her child's face on Instagram,
and she has decided not to, so it makes sense
not to share the birthday as well.

She said it was a real shame that she isn't
sharing her daughter's face because she says she's so cute
that she feels like she's robbing her followers of a
daily dose of perfection. And she revealed that her daughter
has Ned's lips and ears and Tully's big eyes and
they're both trying to claim her button though, so she.

I totally get where Tully's coming from, because I've decided
not to share my son online.

I shared him originally up to about.

His first birthday, and then I was like, oh no,
I just started feeling uncomfortable about it. And it's funny
because obviously he is the most adorable, gorgeous human being
I've ever seen in my eyes, and I'm like, i
feel like I'm robbing people of not sharing his beautiful photos.
But I'm like, at the end of the day, no
one else really cares about your kids files. It's more
like you need to do what you're comfortable with. I'm

just personally annoyed because I've got so many funny videos
of Jack that I think we just go off on TikTok,
Like some of the that he says are actually hilarious.
I know, because I personally love sharing my son online,
Like we have a bit of a different viewpoint which
people might find interesting. Again, maybe as he gets old
or I might change my opinion. I think that people
are allowed to change over time. Anyway, getting back to Tully,

she has confirmed the pronunciation of her daughter's name, saying
it's Elkie and apparently this name has been on her
baby list for ten years, and she said that the
couple loved it from the start, because apparently Ned has
been trying to claim that this name was also on
his list, and he thinks it was on his list first.
So it's pretty cute that it's such a unique name
yet they both had it on their lists.

I mean, if your name is Tully, you can't have
a baby that's called like Susie or something.

It needs to have. You just need to have a
unique name. Look, I think you means Sarah.

Sarah is like the biggest nineties named Sarah and Jessica. Well,
Tully said she always wanted an original name, and because
Ned's last name is Norwegian, they like the fact that
Elkie really European. And she also said that she wanted
to give her daughter a four letter cool girl name
that could have a lot of nickname so she thinks
that her daughter can be.

Killed ell or Ellie or Elle if.

She wants as someone who has a four letter name.
I didn't know that four letter girl names were cool.
Maybe yours isn't cool though, because I don't know how
many nicknames you can have from Kate Kate Haiti. Now,
as for Elkie's middle name, it is in honor of
Tully's mum, Kay, who sadly passed away of dementia a
few years ago, and Tully explained that her niece already
has Kay as a middle name, so she chose the

name Iris as they were her mum's favorite flowers, which
I think is so sweet and that's a beautiful touch
and I like that it's a bit creative as well,
because Elkie Iris goes really nicely together. Tully said Iris
was also good at softening Ned's last name of Wrought,
and I think it does a good job now. The

but it turns out we're actually not going to get it,
so it's pretty interesting. Tully said that when she was pregnant,
she never wanted to hear anyone else's birth story. She
said she didn't really understand why there was such a

fascination in them. If anything, she said she didn't want
to actually put any expectations on herself will become attached
to one idea. She did reveal, though, that she had
a C section and said her doctor was incredible now
her doctor was the same doctor Steph CLEAs Smith and
Laura Henshaw both had. It turns out that Tully actually
bumped into Laura and Dalton when they were on their

way to an appointment and she was like, Oh, who
are you seeing?

Coast influencer Tory Stories pregnancy, and this week she gave
birth to her baby boy, Tate Jackson Edwards. A day
after the birth, the influencer made the announcement on Instagram, writing,

twenty six, four point five kilograms. We are beyond blessed
and in love with our little man now. She also
made it sound like an old school announcement that you'd
have in the newspaper.

That made me feel a bit better. I love an

As you said, Sophie, I have been hanging out for
Tory to give birth. I was very much on birth Watch.
She'd been doing a series where she'd been counting down
the last couple of days of her pregnancy, and then
all of a sudden, she went missing for twenty four hours,
and I was like, oh my god, she must be
having the baby.

She hasn't uploaded her daily quotes, where's her beach walks?
Something must have happened. And it was very unusual for
her to be quiet for twenty four hours because, as
you said, Amy, in the lead up to giving birth,
she launched a labor watch series on Instagram, and over
the weekend she also uploaded a YouTube video entitled.

My waters Broke Now.

In the video, she was documenting her final days of pregnancy,
and she captured the moment that she went into labor.

I was watching this with my husband and he was like, look,
do we have to see everything?
Speaker 1 (32:05):

Because she was literally standing there in beige tracksuit pants
with the water all down her legs.

It was pretty cute because she was actually having.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
A girl's night when her water broke and all of
her friends were jumping around, and she was like, maybe
I should have a shower, Like, I think I should
actually start getting ready for this because we don't know
how quickly this baby's gonna come. So this is not
just directed at your husband, but men in general. There
was nothing gross about it. Her pants literally looked like
water had poured down the front. It wasn't like there
was blood streaming out, Like, seriously, if that's offensive. He

wasn't saying it was gross. He was more just saying,
why are we picking up a camera during this point
in time? Should we maybe be starting to get ready
to go to the hospital. Sorry, Brandon, but that is
because people like me who have been watching this whole journey,
we want to be updated on every second. Tory story
is so real and raw, and I had actually been
worried about her for quite a long time because she
(32:57):
has created a pregnancy series on her podcast called Raw Reality,
and she spoke in depth about wanting to have a
home birth with no medical intervention if possible. So I
was like, oh my god, is she okay? Because she
had a hypno birthing coach on the podcast and it
was a really interesting chat to listen to because I
am on the total opposite side of the viewpoint, like
(33:21):
I wanted to see section. You know, I believe in
medical intervention. I wanted every drug possible. Like I listened
to it too, Amy, and I was like, wow, this
is really interesting. It just showed me how different people
are and everyone's birth choice should be respected. Like for me,
as you said, I wanted an elective C section. For me, hypno,
(33:42):
birthing is not my thing. Couldn't think of anything worse.
But I think that obviously we need to respect other
people's birth decisions. While I'm of course supportive of whatever
decision women want to make with their own bodies, I
think it was hard to listen to that podcast after
everything I've heard about influencer Stacy Warneck's death. So she
(34:03):
was an influencer who very sadly passed away while giving
birth a couple of months ago. So she was free
birthing and she had someone there called a birth keeper.
Now things went horribly wrong and she didn't want to
go to the hospital. She finally was taken to hospital
and sadly passed away there. So obviously Tory stories birth
(34:23):
plan wasn't exactly like, yeah, she actually had a midwife
who used to work as a nurse in a hospital
for like twenty years. It was a very different experience,
and she said that she was quite reluctant to share
about how she actually wanted to.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Go ahead with her birth because.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
She was receiving really negative backlash. Now, what's interesting about
Tory's story for Pardon the pun is that she has
since said that her birth didn't go as planned. She's
yet to speak about it, but I'm wondering if she
had to have an emergency seseria because she spoke about
how traumatic.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
This birth was for her, which is just awful.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Yeah, so she wrote on her Instagram story, our labor
birth wasn't one we expected and was quite a traumatic
experience for everyone involved, which we will share when we
get the time, but for now, we're soaking up this bubble.
Mama is recovering and getting much needed rest and cuddles now.
In the comment section of this birth announcement, Tory's mum
also wrote, my heart is overflowing. Watching what you both

endured during the label was heartbreaking, but seeing the strength, courage,
and love you showed for each other was nothing short
of incredible. Tory, I am proud of you. You dug
deeper than you ever thought possible and brought this little
miracle into the world with such determination and courage. So
it will be interesting when Tory does finally open up
about what actually went on with the berth. I am

very curious. I mean, this wasn't a small baby either.
Like baby Tate was born at four point five kilograms,
which absolutely blows my mind. I think my baby was
like three months old when he weighed four point five kilos.
Going back to Tory capturing the moment that her water
broke for a second, I want to point that it
was quite funny because she actually received her brand new
car that day and she was going for a bit

of a joy ride with her friends, and all I
could think was, gee, I'm sure that she's really glad
that it didn't break in the car because that car
was in immaculate condition.

On her seats, it was like white.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
I just loved her mom coming out because her mum
lives with her and her boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
She's like, oh my god.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
And that everyone just had their phones out because they
knew how much Tory would want this documented. I found
it really fascinating to see the way that she shared
about this pregnancy and her subsequent birth. It sort of
reminded me of the way that Adelaide influencer Smiley Citrus
shared in the lead up, because I think she also
dropped this labor watch series.

And it's an interesting tactic because quickly.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Followers will pick up on when an influencer has suddenly
disappeared and there'll be more seculation, Oh my god, is
the baby here. But it really obviously helps their engagement
because people are constantly checking in on their pagees. It's
very clever and they know that at that point of
their pregnancy, that is when they're going to get the
most engagement, the most interest, that's when they can probably
get higher brand deals around that time. So it's obviously
(37:06):
a tactic of theirs, and it's one that I'm seeing
a lot of micro influencers doing a lot of big
influencers don't need to do that.

In the last fourteen days, according to Social Blade, Tory
has gained over six thousand followers, so it's obviously working
for her.

family dinner we're at each other's throats, like we are arguing.

It brought me back to when we were teenagers and
we got along and we were so lovely to each
other because we all liked the same things. We could
all get around the same celebrities. At one point my

Dean Guy and it just cracked me off because his
husband there was like, are you trying to flirt with
him or something like that?

And then yeah, as a joke, and I was like, oh, well,
yeah I am. You're like, I'll call you pick up

He was like, of course, I'm not, like this is
actually this is making us look so fucking tragic.

Well. Also, I mean, I think his partner is a
couple of weeks away from having their baby, so I'm
sure he's not. Yeah, a few more important things going on.
I actually think the wasabi was the lowest moment of
the night because we were actually trying to auction off
the CD, so it was who want this one? And
our partners were shocked because we were fighting over who
was getting witch CD and our Brandon was like, please,

I don't fucking want any of these at our house.
I actually think the lowest point of the night was
when we remembered that we went to the Young Divas
signings and our partners were like, why did you do that?
We're like, there wasn't much going on. I mean we
were eighteen at the time. The age was the saddest part.
But as I said to Brandon, who was having a
laugh at how old we were, I read a recent

article and it was talking about people like us who
went along to signings or were really heavily invested in
particular musicians. Can I call the Young Divas musicians? Yes,
stands of artists, a lot of great singers and the young.

Deeps they actually do.

But apparently a lot of people who are stands turn
into journalists. So is that because they're good at hounding people?
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Very inquisitive. Brandon was giving us shit.

He knew every single word to Wasabi. I mean he
probably was probably when it came out, he was probably
at the age where it was more acceptable. But I
want to put it out there to outspoken's audience, like,
was it embarrassing of us to go to signings like
CD signings when we're seventeen eighteen, I thought.

That was play off. Like, to be honest, I mean
I do it now. I think it was okay because
we looked twelve, But I mean, wouldn't you guys do

If Hillary Duff had a signing, I definitely line up.

But to be honest, if my husband told me that
he lined up at the Young Divers signing when he
was eighteen, I probably have something to say about it.

expenses branch. At the time, the stunt was labeled a
pr ploy by fellow.

I was actually pretty surprised at Beck went ahead with
this surgery, and I wonder how much pressure was actually
put upon her by the brand that's paying for this
all expenses paid surgical trip, because she literally went to
the hospital only a week earlier, you know, it was
all marked up, ready to go, and backed out of it.
So clearly she had some concerns. I mean, at the
time she said she needed a little bit more time

to think about her decision, and now she's suddenly, oh no,
I'm so confident about it, Like what's happened in between?
Or was this a bit of showbiz for the Maths
Funny Podcast, Because, as we touched on a couple of
weeks ago, journalist Josh your.

Fox has been following this brand trip.

He actually received free f as and also free accommodation
as part of it. He did tell the brand that
he wouldn't be restricted by what he wanted to say
and he would be covering it in a non biased way. However,
that obviously did put a bit of seed of doubt
over the coverage, But when Beck pulled out of the surgery,
it made.

His reporting look more genuine.

And as if he was showing the potential negative side
effects and the fear around this sort of cosmetic procedure.
I mean, it was definitely good timing for Josh and
his podcast, and there clearly is a bit of a
friendship here between Beck and Josh. I mean, the only
reason Josh documented on his podcast was because Beck was
on the trip, and I wouldn't be surprised if this
was all a ploy for pr from Beck. I mean,

she's been very good at maintaining attention off the back
of Maths. She was one of the most hated contestants
on there and suddenly is now like the most followed,
the person that's getting all of the brand deals. And
she's smart. She knows in order to do that, she's
going to stay in the headlines and create drama.

And she already created such a.

Media storm by aligning her story with the Mass Funny podcast.

Then she's created.

All these twists and turns in drama because now that
she's had the surgery, she's actually disappeared offline. Despite saying
that she was going to be transparent about what happened
with the surgery, she had radio silence for two days,
so people have been checking in and she finally updated
everyone saying, Oh, I'm okay, but I'll keep you posted.
I just want some privacy right now. It's like, hang on,

you just had this free surgery that you said you
were going to be really open and honest about. You're
on this all expenses paid trip from the brand, and
now suddenly you're silent for two days. I mean, my
first thought was, has something gone wrong with the surgery?
That's what she wants everyone to think, because she wants
everyone to go in and keep checking in on her page,
keep engaging with her content. Not only is it good

pr for Beck, it's also fantastic pr and engagement for
Josh Fox's podcast because he now has an opportunity to
eventually interview her again. It added an element of drama
to his podcast at the end of the series that
he needed, and then it also got the media writing
about the fact that she pulled out. I wonder how
the brand feels about it, because if I was someone

contemplating having this surgery done and I was looking on
at Beck's page, I wouldn't feel ultra confident with going
with this company, because not only did she back out
after going to the hospital. But then she's also gone
silent after having the surgery. But is this a case
of all publicity is good publicity. I don't think that
beck really cares what the brand thinks. I think it's

all about Beck and whatever is best for her personal brand.

Because she was literally standing there in beige tracksuit pants
with the water all down her legs.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
It was pretty cute because she was actually having.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
A girl's night when her water broke and all of
her friends were jumping around, and she was like, maybe
I should have a shower, Like, I think I should
actually start getting ready for this because we don't know
how quickly this baby's gonna come. So this is not
just directed at your husband, but men in general. There
was nothing gross about it. Her pants literally looked like
water had poured down the front. It wasn't like there
was blood streaming out, Like, seriously, if that's offensive. He
(32:36):
wasn't saying it was gross. He was more just saying,
why are we picking up a camera during this point
in time? Should we maybe be starting to get ready
to go to the hospital. Sorry, Brandon, but that is
because people like me who have been watching this whole journey,
we want to be updated on every second. Tory story
is so real and raw, and I had actually been
worried about her for quite a long time because she
(32:57):
has created a pregnancy series on her podcast called Raw Reality,
and she spoke in depth about wanting to have a
home birth with no medical intervention if possible. So I
was like, oh my god, is she okay? Because she
had a hypno birthing coach on the podcast and it
was a really interesting chat to listen to because I
am on the total opposite side of the viewpoint, like
(33:21):
I wanted to see section. You know, I believe in
medical intervention. I wanted every drug possible. Like I listened
to it too, Amy, and I was like, wow, this
is really interesting. It just showed me how different people
are and everyone's birth choice should be respected. Like for me,
as you said, I wanted an elective C section. For me, hypno,
(33:42):
birthing is not my thing. Couldn't think of anything worse.
But I think that obviously we need to respect other
people's birth decisions. While I'm of course supportive of whatever
decision women want to make with their own bodies, I
think it was hard to listen to that podcast after
everything I've heard about influencer Stacy Warneck's death. So she
(34:03):
was an influencer who very sadly passed away while giving
birth a couple of months ago. So she was free
birthing and she had someone there called a birth keeper.
Now things went horribly wrong and she didn't want to
go to the hospital. She finally was taken to hospital
and sadly passed away there. So obviously Tory stories birth
(34:23):
plan wasn't exactly like, yeah, she actually had a midwife
who used to work as a nurse in a hospital
for like twenty years. It was a very different experience,
and she said that she was quite reluctant to share
about how she actually wanted to.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Go ahead with her birth because.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
She was receiving really negative backlash. Now, what's interesting about
Tory's story for Pardon the pun is that she has
since said that her birth didn't go as planned. She's
yet to speak about it, but I'm wondering if she
had to have an emergency seseria because she spoke about
how traumatic.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
This birth was for her, which is just awful.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Yeah, so she wrote on her Instagram story, our labor
birth wasn't one we expected and was quite a traumatic
experience for everyone involved, which we will share when we
get the time, but for now, we're soaking up this bubble.
Mama is recovering and getting much needed rest and cuddles now.
In the comment section of this birth announcement, Tory's mum
also wrote, my heart is overflowing. Watching what you both
(35:22):
endured during the label was heartbreaking, but seeing the strength, courage,
and love you showed for each other was nothing short
of incredible. Tory, I am proud of you. You dug
deeper than you ever thought possible and brought this little
miracle into the world with such determination and courage. So
it will be interesting when Tory does finally open up
about what actually went on with the berth. I am
(35:44):
very curious. I mean, this wasn't a small baby either.
Like baby Tate was born at four point five kilograms,
which absolutely blows my mind. I think my baby was
like three months old when he weighed four point five kilos.
Going back to Tory capturing the moment that her water
broke for a second, I want to point that it
was quite funny because she actually received her brand new
car that day and she was going for a bit
(36:06):
of a joy ride with her friends, and all I
could think was, gee, I'm sure that she's really glad
that it didn't break in the car because that car
was in immaculate condition.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
On her seats, it was like white.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
I just loved her mom coming out because her mum
lives with her and her boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
She's like, oh my god.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
And that everyone just had their phones out because they
knew how much Tory would want this documented. I found
it really fascinating to see the way that she shared
about this pregnancy and her subsequent birth. It sort of
reminded me of the way that Adelaide influencer Smiley Citrus
shared in the lead up, because I think she also
dropped this labor watch series.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
And it's an interesting tactic because quickly.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Followers will pick up on when an influencer has suddenly
disappeared and there'll be more seculation, Oh my god, is
the baby here. But it really obviously helps their engagement
because people are constantly checking in on their pagees. It's
very clever and they know that at that point of
their pregnancy, that is when they're going to get the
most engagement, the most interest, that's when they can probably
get higher brand deals around that time. So it's obviously
(37:06):
a tactic of theirs, and it's one that I'm seeing
a lot of micro influencers doing a lot of big
influencers don't need to do that.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Well.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
In the last fourteen days, according to Social Blade, Tory
has gained over six thousand followers, so it's obviously working
for her.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
I mean, that's a lot of followers.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
When you've got sixty thousand, well, I think that is
