honestly going to be one of the most humiliating moments
of my life thus far, and I think I will

we were at a first birthday party and I wanted
to look nice, so I had put my halo hair

extensions in just for a bit of thickness, nothing dramatic.
I've been wearing them for probably ten years now, and
I think there are more comfortable alternative to clip in
hair extensions. They're the same thing. You can take him
in and out very easily, and it's basically like a
wad of hair attached to a fishing wire. That you
kind of hide within your hair. Yeah, so anyone who
listens to the Mum's group will know that Harry is

literally obsessed with pulling hair. He was a man on
a mission at this birthday party because there were so
many little girls there who had pigtails, and he just
was in his element, like you could just see him
sizing them up, getting ready to yank on their hair. Anyway,
I should have been on high alert because of this,
but I was having a family photo take and Amy
was taking on her phone and Dale and Harry are

in the background. Anyway, I feeled this hand on the
back of my head latch onto the hair extension. So
this was like a surprise assault from me, yea from
behind me, even though it was coming. Yeah, I'm their
smiling wait for this hand on me, and my first
reaction was to grab the hair extension, so I grabbed it. Luckily,
Dale was very swift to act. Now this, I think

this proves that he actually does love me as a sister,
because he grabbed Harry's hand and bit it so he
would release the hair extension out. When you say, but
you mean a loving little nipple on the hand just
to stop him. It wasn't like a clenching down now,
it was a nip. And the thing that surprised me
the most about this is that, if anything, I thought

that Dale would have quite enjoyed seeing me experience this humiliation.
He's not a fan of hair extensions. We often get
paid out by him for wearing them, So I just
have to publicly say thank you to him for that,
because can you imagine if my hair extension actually got
pulled off my head? Like I joke sometimes to Brandon
that I'm wearing a full wig, Like That's what it

would have looked like, this kid just holding this hair extension.

I can actually imagine it because a similar thing happened
to me. It wasn't a baby ripping it out, but
my hair extension just fell out of my head at
Christmas lunch one day. Fortunately I caught it before anyone
noticed and I had to rush off to the bathroom.
But that has forever shaken me because I'm like, I
don't know, there's something just humiliating about people realizing that
you've got hair clipped into your head. Despite the fact

that I think I heard on Beck Judd's podcasts like
ninety percent of celebrities where hair eccentis yeah, but supposed
to be all smoke and mirrors. You're never actually supposed
to see it out of someone's head. That is quite
the shocking moment.

venus cost money, Marketing cost money, planning cost money, and
time cost money. To then make this profitable, people need
to set a price to make it worth it for

influencer Mia Langley's controversial masterclass. Last week, we discussed how
the pair faced intense backlash after charging two hundred and
fifty dollars a ticket to attend the course. Now, despite
defending the pricing and being the face of the master class,
Sam withdrew the night before, claiming she needed to look

after her health. She uploaded a photo of her lying
on the couch with a blanket on and wrote, I
just wanted to quickly jump on and say I say
badly won't be able to be there at Mia Langley's
event tomorrow. I have some issues I need to get
sorted before I go overseas, and I just need to
look after my health at the moment, she is going
to be amazing, and I'm so proud of her for
still showing up through all of this. Hope you all understand.

leaving your friend Hyandra. Do you think that this was
a case Kate of jumping off a sinking shit? Oh, definitely,
particularly because she went about her day as normal. I mean,

and she took her cat to the vet. I mean,
I do understand the influencers often show their highlight reels,

not that any of these two particular tasks, but particularly
interesting and Okay, I'm guessing that there is more going
on behind the scenes. I do think that Sam's mental
health has been impacted, particularly over the last couple of months.
But don't post what you've been up to that day
if you meant to be at the master class. Yeah,
that's what I don't get. If I was saying, oh, sorry,
I'm going through some health stuff behind the scenes, that's

why I can't attend this event, I would have a
social media hiatus, so not beyond for at least a
couple of days, Like, was it that important to share
those very menial tasks that she was doing throughout the day.
I did notice in the photo she was wearing like
a blood pressure band. I don't know if it was
just for effect or what was actually going on in
the photo, but she must be okay because she's just
jetted off for a six week trip to Europe with

her new boyfriend, Ryan Maloney. Now we spoke about him
on the show a couple of weeks ago. He is
the son of millionaire parents. He's also been driving Sam
around in a Lamborghini, so he's a bit of a
rich boy. I get the vibe that Sam pulled out
of this masterclass because she didn't want the backlash which
she knew was going to come from it, to ruin

her holiday. Basically, yeah, I think she's on high alert
because whatever she does she gets criticism for. And I
think going on this extravagant holiday to Europe is going
to ruffle her followers feathers. I mean, let's be honest,
who wouldn't be jealous of this trip. I noticed in
this video, Mia made an appearance, so she was waving
Sam off. I think this was so Sam could show

that there's supposedly no bad blood between them over this event.
Do we believe it? No? I don't believe for a
second that they're still going to be friends after this.
I mean, Sam has had some very public friendship fallouts.
I mean Mia might be pretending like she's okay, but
the second that Sam is away for six weeks in Europe,
that's when the bitching is going to start. That's when

the friendship is going to start crumbling. Because she literally
left Mia out there, she hung her out to dry
it essentially. I mean, I'm surprised she did it, considering
as you said, she's had a lot of friendship breakdowns.
It doesn't really paint her as a very good friend.
And I want to give me a Langley credit because
despite all the backlash, she fronted up on Monday to
this social media course, and she admitted on TikTok after

the event that it took all her strength to show
up and not cancel it. She said that every bit
of her wanted to cancel the course, but she went
ahead with it to show up for her community. I
hate to say it, but it didn't look like many
people ended up purchasing a ticket. Judging from the photos,
there are about twenty five people there, and I think
the majority of them were me as friends because I

noticed a lot of them shared photos after the event
and all of their handles seemed to include the word
hair in it, so me as a hairdresser. She does
lots of hairdressing classes, and it seems like the hairdressing
community really got around her for not necessarily because she
obviously targets her hair master classes to people interested in hair,
so I suppose that would be her key following. But

they were really pumping her tires. It was like she
had told them to make these posts about why the
class was so fantastic, and well, clearly they weren't Sam's followers.
It seemed like her appearing at this event didn't really
drive ticket sales up at all. I mean, clearly this
is why Sam pulled the pin early. She didn't want
to rock up to this event with only twenty five
people there. Yeah, I mean when we discussed the event

last week, we said, oh, could this be some sort
of marketing genius to get the event out there? You know,
controversy crews reach and maybe people who didn't know about
the event were like interested in going. It clearly didn't work,
even though they ended up dropping the ticket prices from
two hundred and fifty dollars down to fifty dollars. They
should have just made them free. They should have gone

out to the streets. Come on, everyone, come on, just
to save face, let's get a crowd in here, because really,
you wouldn't have known otherwise. I'm interested to see if
Britzaunders and Matt Hay ended up zooming into the class
like we spoke about last week. I hope they give
a bit of a debrief because I'm desperate to know
what was actually covered. I zoomed into me as PowerPoint presentation,
and I felt for her because it looked like they

were having technical difficulties because it wasn't even in presentation mode.
I want to ask, does PowerPoint ever work for anyone?
Every time you do a presentation, it seems to fuck up.
It's so old school PowerPoint, isn't it that people still
use that. I mean, there's other alternatives, but you get well,
you know what I mean, Like, the presentations never seem
to work. I feel for this poor girl. I mean,
at least she's gone ahead with it, put on a

brave face. I mean, her friend's done the dirty on her.
Backed out. Ye Oh fuck this, Like, I think that's
really poor. Yeah, because clearly she's had to change the
content of the class last minute as well. Because Sam
was going to be interviewed on it, they was probably
going to be a bit more back and forth between them.
It's very different to present something by yourself. It was
quite funny. One of the attendees who posted from the

event wrote quote of the day, and this was obviously
from Mia. We're not all posting just because we think
we're hot, sexy and skinny. We love our job. I
mean some wise words there. It's an absolute wise words
to take on board. I wonder if they dropped the
ticket sales so dramatically due to Sam dropping out, because
that was a real selling point for a lot of
the people attending. The ticket prices were dropped to fifty

dollars four days before the event, and Sam dropped out
the night before. So I don't think so I got
married yesterday. Mikayla Tester has tied the not to fellow
influencer Max Krauss in a modest ceremony in Wisconsin. The
Only Fans creator was praised for the low key celebration,
but some people surprised by her wedding dress choice. So,

if I'm honest, this wasn't the wedding aesthetic I was
expecting from Mikayla. No, not at all. I mean to
be completely honest. When these photos popped up over the weekend,
I almost didn't recognize Mikayla because she was very stripped back.
It looked like she was wearing very minimal makeup. The
photos almost had an Ai vibe to them. I was like,

had very early naughties vibes to it. It's sort of
like a princess a gown. There was a large skirt.

She had spaghetti straps, which were very Kath and Kim.
I remember them always going on about the spaghetti straps.
There was also this leaf detailing on the gown. She
also had a very simple bunch of colorful flower was
the gown matched the overall wedding aesthetic though, because as
you said, it was very simple. They got married at
Max's family property, so it was like an open sort

of field. They had Hayer bails on either side of
this arch with fake white flowers on it. The other
thing that really threw me about this wedding announcement was
the formatting of the photos. Now that might sound silly,
but they were uploaded as landscape images. They were really wide.
Because I went to immediately screenshot these photos to share

it outspoken, and I'm like, what the fuck did they
share them like this? Like it looked terrible. It's clear
that they didn't have a professional photographer and maybe one
of the boomer relatives was taking the photos. And it
all became clear what was actually going on because a
few days after sharing the photos on social media, all
was revealed. So it turns out it was just Mikayla
and Max's legal wedding and they are going to be

having an official wedding at a later date. So Mikayla
explained that they had to go through with the wedding
within ninety days of her arriving in the US. Because
she's on a K one Fiance v Now, this visa
probably sounds familiar to listeners because it's the one made
famous by the reality show Ninety Day Fiance. Everyone's been
saying on TikTok that they wish Mikayla and Max could

have appeared on the reality show and how funny that
would have been. Well, I think that they wouldn't get
the call up because it's obvious they are a genuine
couple and they're very much in love. Yeah, it's so
nice to actually see them get married because initially when
they got engaged, there were concerns that Michaela may not
be able to go to the US, which is where
Max is from, because the last two times she tried

to enter the US, she was actually detained and deported
by officials, so it was a really anxious wait. When
they actually arrived in the country, Michayla said that there
was this female officer who was really rude to her
until Max came over, and she wasn't sure if it
was the Max effect or if it was because she
had every single bit of documentation. But she finally got
into the US. How nerve wracking would have that flight

been I mean it's such a long flight to have
to sit through as well. Now, Taylor did admit that
holding the ceremony was a spare of the moment decision
that they only planned the night before, so it does
explain the aesthetics of the wedding. So Max ordered all
the decorations on Amazon the night before. They're pretty lucky
it rocked up. I mean, Amazon's delivery is quite good,

and they set everything up on his family's property themselves.
As for the wedding dress, it was actually Max's mother's
gown from twenty six years ago, So I'm going to
say I was bang on with saying it was Naughty's vibes.
It made so much more sense because the dress also
didn't really look like it fit that well. I mean,
it fit well considering that she picked it out of
her mother in law's closet and was able to put

it on, But the straps weren't sitting like it was
made for her, were they. Yeah, And I was so
thrown seeing this dress because I would assume she would
be wearing this very figure hugging, glamorous gown. So I'm
very excited to hear that this is just an official
sort of civil ceremony and we are going to be
getting a bigger, more grand wedding soon now. It was
quite cute too, because they revealed that they actually collected

Mikayla's bouquet of flowers from the property, so they showed
them picking all the flowers. They did a great job
with it. It looks beautiful. A lot of followers initially
loved the fact that they had such a low key
wedding and they were overwhelmed with happiness for Mikayla. One wrote,
you finally got your happily ever after. No one deserves
this more than you. Another said I've never been so parasocial.

Congrats now. When we shared these photos on our Instagram,
a lot of listeners, like us, were initially surprised by
how stripped back this wedding was. One wrote this is
so refreshing. It's about the marriage and love, not the aesthetics,
whilst another said this is dot dot dot not at
all what I expected. This is the snic in me.
But do you think Michayla and Max sat down and went,

do you know what would do really well on social media?
If we stage this backyard wedding? You wear my mum's
wedding dress. Would do it really low key and it's
going to get everyone talking because if she just posted
your regular glamorous shot, people would have been excited, but
they wouldn't have been all the commentary around it. It's
a little bit like what Lillly Brown did. Yeah, I mean,
these women know how to play the algorithm and they

do it so well. I definitely think that that would
have been factored into it. They wanted to make it
appeal that this was going to be the only wedding
so that they could get maximum engagement from it. That
being said, I think that their true love story really
did shine through in it though, because it just seemed
very cute.

Sky Wheatley has all but confirmed that she has split
again from her baby daddy Locky War. Last week, she
sent the rumor meal into overdrive when she revealed she
was living back at her mum's house now. Over the weekend, Kate,
she tackled the rumor's head on yeah so. During a
hole on her Instagram story, she admitted that she knew
everyone was watching to hear about what was going on

with her un Lockie. She said she'd noticed that her
story views had skyrocketed since she started dropping clues about
the breakup. Now, she said she would eventually share when
it felt right, but didn't want to crash out again
for the one hundredth time that week. Despite saying she
wouldn't provide further details, it felt like she couldn't help herself,
because she ended up dropping more details when she complained

about a rude DM she received from a follower who
accused her of never spending time with her children. Let's
take a listen. Yeah, I just thought it was really rude.

and their dad want to do the best for them,

it sounds like she and Lockey are splitting their time
between living in their house with their kids. So I
think Sky must be part time with her mum and
then part time back at her house. I think that's
what they did last time as well. I mean, that

does seem to be a good arrangement for the kids
because they then don't get thrown out of their normal
routines and their day to day lives. Particularly because things
do seem to change very quickly between Sky and Locke.
They seem to change their mind all the time. They
might be trialing a separation again. I mean it was
only five months ago that they announced they were back
together after another very public breakup late last year. As

So I'm hoping that they work things out again, but
it seems like something BIG's got to change. It makes
me sad because I love them as a couple together.
They just came on my heart. I can't deal with
it at the moment, because Mitch Orville has also essentially
confirmed his breakup with Chloe Zepp. So this week he
opened up about how difficult it's been no longer being

a full time dad. So on Instagram, he wrote, it
takes a special sort of resilience to go from a
full time dad to a part time dad. If you've
been through this and come out the other side, I
respect you. Oh that's so sad. I think that they've
been sort of drip feeding this breakup for a while now.
There's been no official statement. I mean, this really spells

it out though, Oh definitely. But I mean they haven't
actually commented on why they've broken up. Like I want
to fall on. I mean, I want an old school
YouTube video where they both jump on they talk about
what remember they did that break up video together? Oh yeah,
I mean I'd even be happy with a black tile
with some white writing on it. At this point, do
you reckon that they kind of both don't know what's happening,

So even though they've released bits of information here and there,
they don't necessarily want to confirm it in case they
do get back together. I mean, considering they have two
children involved, it makes a lot more sense. I mean,
you know that YouTube breakup announcement you were talking about
that was pre children, and that was in their peak
of their YouTube fame. It's clear that Mitch wants to

get back with Chloe, and I mean judging by the
things that he's been posting. I mean earlier in the week.
He also gave an insight into how he was feeling.
He wrote, give a man pleasure and he will forget
his goal. Give a man pain and heartbreak, and he

I mean, I can actually see them getting back together, though,
I feel like maybe behind the scenes, Mitch is working
in overdrive to win Chloe back. I mean, both of

and getting back together. Maybe they need to do some
more ads with that marriage counselor Because at the start
of the year things seemed to be going well. Could

this be a huge strategic marketing campaign? No, I don't

into what's blowing up our group chat, and I have
to kick things off with Tammy Hembro's Notebook moment with
Grayson Timowana, who is of course her latest boyfriend. And

Basically they were on this little stay cae together and
they stuck. They were glamping glamping, sorry, and they stumbled
across a boat on a lake and they decided to
take it for a spin, very reminiscent of the Notebook moment,
and I just felt like saying, do you realize that
no one ships this relationship? Like everyone kind of thinks
this is a bit juvenile. There were a couple of
ones deep as well. You could tell it was a

bit tragic because there was this scene where Tammy was
like miming into her phone and she panned over to Grayson,
and someone actually screenshot at it and posted it in
the comments. But he looked so unimpressed. I mean, he
has commented previously that he gives off really bad body
language and he doesn't know why. And it's like, mate,
we can read it, we know what's happening. Is this

the unraveling of Tammy Hembro. It seems like she's having
a bit of a moment. I mean, in our influencer
predictions for twenty twenty six, we predicted this was the
year of the Tammy Hembro cancelation. I think her relationship
with Grayson has not been a popular move and it's
not really good for her branding. She's had her business
is shut down as well. It just seems like things

aren't going as well as they usually do for her.
I mean, surely Matt Zakowski'd be absolutely stoked with some
of the recent videos that have popped up of Tammy.
He would just be loving it because he looks like
he's living a very wholesome life in Melbourne at the moment,
with his Golden Retriever and his little movie reviews. They
look like their world's apart at the moment. Yeah, I mean,
you can tell they are very different people. I want

to move on to something a bit more exciting, so
I have been spamming our group chat with Hilary Duff's
opening night performances of her tour. I could not be
more excited. We're going to her Melbourne show in October.
I'm counting down the days. You know how everyone dressed
up for the Eras tour. I reckon, people need to

start getting behind Hillary and dressing up as her different eras.
I mean, you've got Lizzie Maguire, you've got her dating
her era where she dated Joel Madden. Then you got
a bit punky, didn't you a bit goth? Yeah? Then
you've got her Beat of My Heart sort of a
bit more of a Kylie sort of pop pop girl moment.
You've got them all. She had a blue wig in

the Sparks Fly film clip. There are so many looks
that you can do. I'm gonna start working on mine
now because I feel like my outfit for the Ears
to It was really disappointing because I was twenty weeks
pregnant and I was like, oh, I don't feel like
I can do anything that cool. The other thing that
I have learned from the Ears to It, though, is
that you still want to be comfortable. Because I wore
a sequin dress, it was one of yours. Again, I
wasn't really pleased with my outfit. I had ordered something

off Amazon that arrived and it looked crap. So I
had to sort of have a bit of a panic option,
and by the end of the night, I was just
over the cowboy boots. We had to walk miles back
to our well, back to a spot we could be
picked up by an uber, and I was sharing a
room with our best friend and I literally had to
yank the fucking boot off her foot. At the end

of the night they were stuck on. So maybe some
more appropriate footwear for the Hillary Duff too. I mean,
the room will be full of millennials who will want
to be comfortable. I was very impressed by the setlist
as well. I am so excited to hear anywhere but here.
That was one of my favorite songs from Metamorphosis, and
I'm so surprised she's actually singing it on tour. I
didn't expect it. I'm most excited for wake Up, I think, really, yeah,

I love that song. This is a really embarrassing admission.
But in year twelve, one of my major art pieces
was basically a shrine to Hillary Duff. I made this.
It was supposed to be one of those mirrors with
the light bulbs around it, and then in the mirror
there were all these drawings that I had done of her.
It was fucking tragic. And I also be good though,
thank you. I have to share it. I've got a photo,

but it's so pixelated. I think mom and our dad
actually threw that out. Oh really, yeah, I have to
see if it's in their shed. If it is, I'll
take a better photo. But anyway, I had written out
the lyrics to wake Up and it said there's people talking,
they talk about you, they know your name, they think
they know everything. And I was going through a bit
of a sad stage at the start of year twelve
with friendship stuff. Anyway, my mum found the piece of

paper that I'd written and she's like, did you write
that's that's lovely? Did you are you going through something?
And I was like, no, I didn't write it as
part of my favorite song, wake Up. Well, I'm very
excited for you to be able to see that live,

The next thing that has been flooding out outspoken Instagram
inbox is the fact that Shameless Media announced yesterday that
it's acquired a multi year partnership with Steph les Smith
and Laura Henshaw's podcast Kick Pod and kick Bump. I
was shocked when I saw that news break.

I mean the podcast used to be represented by Australia's
largest podcast network, which is Listener, and they have been
with Kick Girls since twenty twenty two, so four years now.
I mean it makes sense that Shameless Media are now

last couple of years, they've been creating their own shows,

but Zara and Michelle have both said in order to
continue to grow at the pace that they want, they're
going to have to start taking on shows that already
have established communities. I think the Kickpot and Kickbump are
a great get for them. I mean they bring across
kicks massive community. There was a little bit of confusion
because last year Shameless announced that they were set to
release a parenting podcast, but one that Zara and Michelle
(25:36):
wouldn't be hosting. So they put a bit of a
call out for new hosts and people were like, oh,
is it the kick Bump? Is that the new parenting
podcast that you guys are doing. They have confirmed it's not.
There is going to be another parenting podcast on their network,
But it kind of makes sense if you think from
a sponsorship perspective, there's no point of them seeking parenting

adverts for just one podcast. They may as well bundle
it up and give it to both of the podcasts.
I mean, that's what the large networks are doing these days.
From a revenue perspective, Shameless recently announced that they command
ten percent of Australia's total podcast revenue, so they've obviously
got an extremely good team that are able to get
their show's ads. It'll be really interesting to see how
(26:21):
that trajectory continues when they have more podcasts to fulfill.
I don't think they'll have any issues because when you
look at them as a network, they are specialists in podcasting,
whereas other networks come from radio backgrounds, so a lot
of them have old school radio teams on board that
are used to selling ads for radio, but not so
(26:42):
much for podcasts. So I think that really sets Shameless
Media out from the pack. I'm really interested to see
if this new acquisition means that Shameless will actually be
producing this podcast as well, or whether they won't actually
have control around the creative of this podcast. Because when
you do sign up to a podcast network, there is
(27:03):
the option if you want help to produce it the
network then takes a bigger fee of your sponsorships, or
if you want to have can creative control, they then
take a smaller portion of the sponsorships. Well, Zara and
Michelle have come out and said it's going to be
a really different chapter for the Kick Bump and kick
Pod podcast, So I definitely think they're going to sync

their teeth into it and change the format. I'm excited
to see what they do because we've discussed on the
show before how when step and Laura signed up to
listener that the podcast really changed. It went down a
route of I'd say, sort of like a original Call
Her Daddy esque thing where Stephan Laura spoke a lot
about their sex lives, and we were saying how it

seemed very off brand, it didn't really seem authentic to them.
So I'm interested to see what Zara and Michelle think
their strategy should be moving forward.

I also feel like I had a real radio vibe
to it as well, with sharing these funny stories and
then listeners would share their own stories as well. I mean,
we have had a few criticisms of the program over
its time, but I do actually really enjoy it, Like
I enjoy hearing Steph and Laura's stories about their personal lives.

That's what I want to hear more of. The one
thing I would do if I was producing this podcast
is to tell Laura in the nicest possible way, because
she seems like an absolute sweetheart, to stop having so
many disclaimers when she speaks, and to not be scared
to give her opinion, because I find when Laura gives
her honest opinion, I love it. I'm like, wow, I
one hundred percent agree with you. Like I think behind

closed doors, she would be an absolute I don't say ruthless,
but she's probably a bit of a she'd be great
in business, she'd be probably quite direct, but I feel
like when she's public facing, she suddenly becomes I don't
want to offend anyone. I have to give this disclaimer
here and there, and it's really difficult to follow a
story that she's telling. I think it's a hangover from
twenty twenty where anything you said could be canceled to

wait until September when the new Kick podcasts are being
relaunched under the Shameless banner. So I'm very excited. I
feel like there was a bit of a clue that
something was going on because they recently changed where they
were filming. They used to film in Listener and then
suddenly they were in this brand new set. So it'd
be interesting to see if they continue filming in the
new set whether that is something that Shameless is set

up for them. There's aw some other stat that Shameless
have increased their audience by something like thirty or forty
percent in the last six months, and they actually put
that down to the fact that they've been uploading full
episodes to YouTube. So obviously that is a part of
their strategy for all of their shops. I mean, they're
absolutely incredible. It's inspiring to see what they've created. It

does also put a new spin on what they said
in I think it was a New Year's episode that
they basically set out this year to destroy the competition. Now,
I wonder if that is in reference to Mum and Mia,
who have also been setting up a podcast net. Well,
I mean, they have their own established podcast network, but
within recent years they've also been acquiring other shows, so

it does put a bit of a new spin on it.
I wonder if Listener is shaking in their boots a
little bit because They've sort of become the podcast network
for the big influences. They have a lot of high
profile women on their network, so I wonder if we're
going to see a lot of big moves in the

honestly going to be one of the most humiliating moments
of my life thus far, and I think I will

we were at a first birthday party and I wanted
to look nice, so I had put my halo hair

extensions in just for a bit of thickness, nothing dramatic.
I've been wearing them for probably ten years now, and
I think there are more comfortable alternative to clip in
hair extensions. They're the same thing. You can take him
in and out very easily, and it's basically like a
wad of hair attached to a fishing wire. That you
kind of hide within your hair. Yeah, so anyone who
listens to the Mum's group will know that Harry is

literally obsessed with pulling hair. He was a man on
a mission at this birthday party because there were so
many little girls there who had pigtails, and he just
was in his element, like you could just see him
sizing them up, getting ready to yank on their hair. Anyway,
I should have been on high alert because of this,
but I was having a family photo take and Amy
was taking on her phone and Dale and Harry are

in the background. Anyway, I feeled this hand on the
back of my head latch onto the hair extension. So
this was like a surprise assault from me, yea from
behind me, even though it was coming. Yeah, I'm their
smiling wait for this hand on me, and my first
reaction was to grab the hair extension, so I grabbed it. Luckily,
Dale was very swift to act. Now this, I think

this proves that he actually does love me as a sister,
because he grabbed Harry's hand and bit it so he
would release the hair extension out. When you say, but
you mean a loving little nipple on the hand just
to stop him. It wasn't like a clenching down now,
it was a nip. And the thing that surprised me
the most about this is that, if anything, I thought

that Dale would have quite enjoyed seeing me experience this humiliation.
He's not a fan of hair extensions. We often get
paid out by him for wearing them, So I just
have to publicly say thank you to him for that,
because can you imagine if my hair extension actually got
pulled off my head? Like I joke sometimes to Brandon
that I'm wearing a full wig, Like That's what it

would have looked like, this kid just holding this hair extension.

I can actually imagine it because a similar thing happened
to me. It wasn't a baby ripping it out, but
my hair extension just fell out of my head at
Christmas lunch one day. Fortunately I caught it before anyone
noticed and I had to rush off to the bathroom.
But that has forever shaken me because I'm like, I
don't know, there's something just humiliating about people realizing that
you've got hair clipped into your head. Despite the fact

that I think I heard on Beck Judd's podcasts like
ninety percent of celebrities where hair eccentis yeah, but supposed
to be all smoke and mirrors. You're never actually supposed
to see it out of someone's head. That is quite
the shocking moment.

venus cost money, Marketing cost money, planning cost money, and
time cost money. To then make this profitable, people need
to set a price to make it worth it for
them as well.

Sam Guggenheimer has backed out of her appearance a fellow
influencer Mia Langley's controversial masterclass. Last week, we discussed how
the pair faced intense backlash after charging two hundred and
fifty dollars a ticket to attend the course. Now, despite
defending the pricing and being the face of the master class,
Sam withdrew the night before, claiming she needed to look

after her health. She uploaded a photo of her lying
on the couch with a blanket on and wrote, I
just wanted to quickly jump on and say I say
badly won't be able to be there at Mia Langley's
event tomorrow. I have some issues I need to get
sorted before I go overseas, and I just need to
look after my health at the moment, she is going
to be amazing, and I'm so proud of her for
still showing up through all of this. Hope you all understand.

I'm sorry, Mia, I love you. I mean talk about
leaving your friend Hyandra. Do you think that this was
a case Kate of jumping off a sinking shit? Oh, definitely,
particularly because she went about her day as normal. I mean,
she shared vision of her getting a skin console at Mecca,
and she took her cat to the vet. I mean,
I do understand the influencers often show their highlight reels,

not that any of these two particular tasks, but particularly
interesting and Okay, I'm guessing that there is more going
on behind the scenes. I do think that Sam's mental
health has been impacted, particularly over the last couple of months.
But don't post what you've been up to that day
if you meant to be at the master class. Yeah,
that's what I don't get. If I was saying, oh, sorry,
I'm going through some health stuff behind the scenes, that's

why I can't attend this event, I would have a
social media hiatus, so not beyond for at least a
couple of days, Like, was it that important to share
those very menial tasks that she was doing throughout the day.
I did notice in the photo she was wearing like
a blood pressure band. I don't know if it was
just for effect or what was actually going on in
the photo, but she must be okay because she's just
jetted off for a six week trip to Europe with

her new boyfriend, Ryan Maloney. Now we spoke about him
on the show a couple of weeks ago. He is
the son of millionaire parents. He's also been driving Sam
around in a Lamborghini, so he's a bit of a
rich boy. I get the vibe that Sam pulled out
of this masterclass because she didn't want the backlash which
she knew was going to come from it, to ruin

her holiday. Basically, yeah, I think she's on high alert
because whatever she does she gets criticism for. And I
think going on this extravagant holiday to Europe is going
to ruffle her followers feathers. I mean, let's be honest,
who wouldn't be jealous of this trip. I noticed in
this video, Mia made an appearance, so she was waving
Sam off. I think this was so Sam could show
(06:03):
that there's supposedly no bad blood between them over this event.
Do we believe it? No? I don't believe for a
second that they're still going to be friends after this.
I mean, Sam has had some very public friendship fallouts.
I mean Mia might be pretending like she's okay, but
the second that Sam is away for six weeks in Europe,
that's when the bitching is going to start. That's when

the friendship is going to start crumbling. Because she literally
left Mia out there, she hung her out to dry
it essentially. I mean, I'm surprised she did it, considering
as you said, she's had a lot of friendship breakdowns.
It doesn't really paint her as a very good friend.
And I want to give me a Langley credit because
despite all the backlash, she fronted up on Monday to
this social media course, and she admitted on TikTok after

the event that it took all her strength to show
up and not cancel it. She said that every bit
of her wanted to cancel the course, but she went
ahead with it to show up for her community. I
hate to say it, but it didn't look like many
people ended up purchasing a ticket. Judging from the photos,
there are about twenty five people there, and I think
the majority of them were me as friends because I

noticed a lot of them shared photos after the event
and all of their handles seemed to include the word
hair in it, so me as a hairdresser. She does
lots of hairdressing classes, and it seems like the hairdressing
community really got around her for not necessarily because she
obviously targets her hair master classes to people interested in hair,
so I suppose that would be her key following. But

they were really pumping her tires. It was like she
had told them to make these posts about why the
class was so fantastic, and well, clearly they weren't Sam's followers.
It seemed like her appearing at this event didn't really
drive ticket sales up at all. I mean, clearly this
is why Sam pulled the pin early. She didn't want
to rock up to this event with only twenty five
people there. Yeah, I mean when we discussed the event
(07:52):
last week, we said, oh, could this be some sort
of marketing genius to get the event out there? You know,
controversy crews reach and maybe people who didn't know about
the event were like interested in going. It clearly didn't work,
even though they ended up dropping the ticket prices from
two hundred and fifty dollars down to fifty dollars. They
should have just made them free. They should have gone
(08:13):
out to the streets. Come on, everyone, come on, just
to save face, let's get a crowd in here, because really,
you wouldn't have known otherwise. I'm interested to see if
Britzaunders and Matt Hay ended up zooming into the class
like we spoke about last week. I hope they give
a bit of a debrief because I'm desperate to know
what was actually covered. I zoomed into me as PowerPoint presentation,
and I felt for her because it looked like they
(08:35):
were having technical difficulties because it wasn't even in presentation mode.
I want to ask, does PowerPoint ever work for anyone?
Every time you do a presentation, it seems to fuck up.
It's so old school PowerPoint, isn't it that people still
use that. I mean, there's other alternatives, but you get well,
you know what I mean, Like, the presentations never seem
to work. I feel for this poor girl. I mean,
at least she's gone ahead with it, put on a

brave face. I mean, her friend's done the dirty on her.
Backed out. Ye Oh fuck this, Like, I think that's
really poor. Yeah, because clearly she's had to change the
content of the class last minute as well. Because Sam
was going to be interviewed on it, they was probably
going to be a bit more back and forth between them.
It's very different to present something by yourself. It was
quite funny. One of the attendees who posted from the

event wrote quote of the day, and this was obviously
from Mia. We're not all posting just because we think
we're hot, sexy and skinny. We love our job. I
mean some wise words there. It's an absolute wise words
to take on board. I wonder if they dropped the
ticket sales so dramatically due to Sam dropping out, because
that was a real selling point for a lot of
the people attending. The ticket prices were dropped to fifty
(09:40):
dollars four days before the event, and Sam dropped out
the night before. So I don't think so I got
married yesterday. Mikayla Tester has tied the not to fellow
influencer Max Krauss in a modest ceremony in Wisconsin. The
Only Fans creator was praised for the low key celebration,
but some people surprised by her wedding dress choice. So,

if I'm honest, this wasn't the wedding aesthetic I was
expecting from Mikayla. No, not at all. I mean to
be completely honest. When these photos popped up over the weekend,
I almost didn't recognize Mikayla because she was very stripped back.
It looked like she was wearing very minimal makeup. The
photos almost had an Ai vibe to them. I was like,

these real people in them.

Mikayla also had no tan on, which is unusual for her.
We usually see her very done up. Her hair was
down and straight, so it wasn't really much of a

had very early naughties vibes to it. It's sort of
like a princess a gown. There was a large skirt.

She had spaghetti straps, which were very Kath and Kim.
I remember them always going on about the spaghetti straps.
There was also this leaf detailing on the gown. She
also had a very simple bunch of colorful flower was
the gown matched the overall wedding aesthetic though, because as
you said, it was very simple. They got married at
Max's family property, so it was like an open sort

of field. They had Hayer bails on either side of
this arch with fake white flowers on it. The other
thing that really threw me about this wedding announcement was
the formatting of the photos. Now that might sound silly,
but they were uploaded as landscape images. They were really wide.
Because I went to immediately screenshot these photos to share

it outspoken, and I'm like, what the fuck did they
share them like this? Like it looked terrible. It's clear
that they didn't have a professional photographer and maybe one
of the boomer relatives was taking the photos. And it
all became clear what was actually going on because a
few days after sharing the photos on social media, all
was revealed. So it turns out it was just Mikayla
and Max's legal wedding and they are going to be

having an official wedding at a later date. So Mikayla
explained that they had to go through with the wedding
within ninety days of her arriving in the US. Because
she's on a K one Fiance v Now, this visa
probably sounds familiar to listeners because it's the one made
famous by the reality show Ninety Day Fiance. Everyone's been
saying on TikTok that they wish Mikayla and Max could

have appeared on the reality show and how funny that
would have been. Well, I think that they wouldn't get
the call up because it's obvious they are a genuine
couple and they're very much in love. Yeah, it's so
nice to actually see them get married because initially when
they got engaged, there were concerns that Michaela may not
be able to go to the US, which is where
Max is from, because the last two times she tried
(12:33):
to enter the US, she was actually detained and deported
by officials, so it was a really anxious wait. When
they actually arrived in the country, Michayla said that there
was this female officer who was really rude to her
until Max came over, and she wasn't sure if it
was the Max effect or if it was because she
had every single bit of documentation. But she finally got
into the US. How nerve wracking would have that flight
(12:55):
been I mean it's such a long flight to have
to sit through as well. Now, Taylor did admit that
holding the ceremony was a spare of the moment decision
that they only planned the night before, so it does
explain the aesthetics of the wedding. So Max ordered all
the decorations on Amazon the night before. They're pretty lucky
it rocked up. I mean, Amazon's delivery is quite good,

and they set everything up on his family's property themselves.
As for the wedding dress, it was actually Max's mother's
gown from twenty six years ago, So I'm going to
say I was bang on with saying it was Naughty's vibes.
It made so much more sense because the dress also
didn't really look like it fit that well. I mean,
it fit well considering that she picked it out of
her mother in law's closet and was able to put

it on, But the straps weren't sitting like it was
made for her, were they. Yeah, And I was so
thrown seeing this dress because I would assume she would
be wearing this very figure hugging, glamorous gown. So I'm
very excited to hear that this is just an official
sort of civil ceremony and we are going to be
getting a bigger, more grand wedding soon now. It was
quite cute too, because they revealed that they actually collected

Mikayla's bouquet of flowers from the property, so they showed
them picking all the flowers. They did a great job
with it. It looks beautiful. A lot of followers initially
loved the fact that they had such a low key
wedding and they were overwhelmed with happiness for Mikayla. One wrote,
you finally got your happily ever after. No one deserves
this more than you. Another said I've never been so parasocial.

Congrats now. When we shared these photos on our Instagram,
a lot of listeners, like us, were initially surprised by
how stripped back this wedding was. One wrote this is
so refreshing. It's about the marriage and love, not the aesthetics,
whilst another said this is dot dot dot not at
all what I expected. This is the snic in me.
But do you think Michayla and Max sat down and went,

do you know what would do really well on social media?
If we stage this backyard wedding? You wear my mum's
wedding dress. Would do it really low key and it's
going to get everyone talking because if she just posted
your regular glamorous shot, people would have been excited, but
they wouldn't have been all the commentary around it. It's
a little bit like what Lillly Brown did. Yeah, I mean,
these women know how to play the algorithm and they

do it so well. I definitely think that that would
have been factored into it. They wanted to make it
appeal that this was going to be the only wedding
so that they could get maximum engagement from it. That
being said, I think that their true love story really
did shine through in it though, because it just seemed
very cute.

Sky Wheatley has all but confirmed that she has split
again from her baby daddy Locky War. Last week, she
sent the rumor meal into overdrive when she revealed she
was living back at her mum's house now. Over the weekend, Kate,
she tackled the rumor's head on yeah so. During a
hole on her Instagram story, she admitted that she knew
everyone was watching to hear about what was going on

with her un Lockie. She said she'd noticed that her
story views had skyrocketed since she started dropping clues about
the breakup. Now, she said she would eventually share when
it felt right, but didn't want to crash out again
for the one hundredth time that week. Despite saying she
wouldn't provide further details, it felt like she couldn't help herself,
because she ended up dropping more details when she complained

about a rude DM she received from a follower who
accused her of never spending time with her children. Let's
take a listen. Yeah, I just thought it was really rude.

and their dad want to do the best for them,

Based on what Sky said and reading between the lines,
it sounds like she and Lockey are splitting their time
between living in their house with their kids. So I
think Sky must be part time with her mum and
then part time back at her house. I think that's

does seem to be a good arrangement for the kids
because they then don't get thrown out of their normal
routines and their day to day lives. Particularly because things
do seem to change very quickly between Sky and Locke.
They seem to change their mind all the time. They
might be trialing a separation again. I mean it was
only five months ago that they announced they were back
together after another very public breakup late last year. As

you touched on, it's been a real pattern of behavior.
So I'm hoping that they work things out again, but
it seems like something BIG's got to change. It makes
me sad because I love them as a couple together.
They just came on my heart. I can't deal with
it at the moment, because Mitch Orville has also essentially
confirmed his breakup with Chloe Zepp. So this week he
opened up about how difficult it's been no longer being

a full time dad. So on Instagram, he wrote, it
takes a special sort of resilience to go from a
full time dad to a part time dad. If you've
been through this and come out the other side, I
respect you. Oh that's so sad. I think that they've
been sort of drip feeding this breakup for a while now.
There's been no official statement. I mean, this really spells

it out though, Oh definitely. But I mean they haven't
actually commented on why they've broken up. Like I want
to fall on. I mean, I want an old school
YouTube video where they both jump on they talk about
what remember they did that break up video together? Oh yeah,

you reckon that they kind of both don't know what's happening,

they don't necessarily want to confirm it in case they
do get back together. I mean, considering they have two
children involved, it makes a lot more sense. I mean,
you know that YouTube breakup announcement you were talking about
that was pre children, and that was in their peak
of their YouTube fame. It's clear that Mitch wants to

get back with Chloe, and I mean judging by the
things that he's been posting. I mean earlier in the week.
He also gave an insight into how he was feeling.

and getting back together. Maybe they need to do some
more ads with that marriage counselor Because at the start
of the year things seemed to be going well. Could

Basically they were on this little stay cae together and
they stuck. They were glamping glamping, sorry, and they stumbled
across a boat on a lake and they decided to
take it for a spin, very reminiscent of the Notebook moment,
and I just felt like saying, do you realize that
no one ships this relationship? Like everyone kind of thinks
this is a bit juvenile. There were a couple of
ones deep as well. You could tell it was a
(20:42):
bit tragic because there was this scene where Tammy was
like miming into her phone and she panned over to Grayson,
and someone actually screenshot at it and posted it in
the comments. But he looked so unimpressed. I mean, he
has commented previously that he gives off really bad body
language and he doesn't know why. And it's like, mate,
we can read it, we know what's happening. Is this
(21:03):
the unraveling of Tammy Hembro. It seems like she's having
a bit of a moment. I mean, in our influencer
predictions for twenty twenty six, we predicted this was the
year of the Tammy Hembro cancelation. I think her relationship
with Grayson has not been a popular move and it's
not really good for her branding. She's had her business
is shut down as well. It just seems like things
(21:26):
aren't going as well as they usually do for her.
I mean, surely Matt Zakowski'd be absolutely stoked with some
of the recent videos that have popped up of Tammy.
He would just be loving it because he looks like
he's living a very wholesome life in Melbourne at the moment,
with his Golden Retriever and his little movie reviews. They
look like their world's apart at the moment. Yeah, I mean,
you can tell they are very different people. I want
(21:48):
to move on to something a bit more exciting, so
I have been spamming our group chat with Hilary Duff's
opening night performances of her tour. I could not be
more excited. We're going to her Melbourne show in October.
I'm counting down the days. You know how everyone dressed
up for the Eras tour. I reckon, people need to
(22:09):
start getting behind Hillary and dressing up as her different eras.
I mean, you've got Lizzie Maguire, you've got her dating
her era where she dated Joel Madden. Then you got
a bit punky, didn't you a bit goth? Yeah? Then
you've got her Beat of My Heart sort of a
bit more of a Kylie sort of pop pop girl moment.
You've got them all. She had a blue wig in

the Sparks Fly film clip. There are so many looks
that you can do. I'm gonna start working on mine
now because I feel like my outfit for the Ears
to It was really disappointing because I was twenty weeks
pregnant and I was like, oh, I don't feel like
I can do anything that cool. The other thing that
I have learned from the Ears to It, though, is
that you still want to be comfortable. Because I wore
a sequin dress, it was one of yours. Again, I
wasn't really pleased with my outfit. I had ordered something

off Amazon that arrived and it looked crap. So I
had to sort of have a bit of a panic option,
and by the end of the night, I was just
over the cowboy boots. We had to walk miles back
to our well, back to a spot we could be
picked up by an uber, and I was sharing a
room with our best friend and I literally had to
yank the fucking boot off her foot. At the end
(23:12):
of the night they were stuck on. So maybe some
more appropriate footwear for the Hillary Duff too. I mean,
the room will be full of millennials who will want
to be comfortable. I was very impressed by the setlist
as well. I am so excited to hear anywhere but here.
That was one of my favorite songs from Metamorphosis, and
I'm so surprised she's actually singing it on tour. I
didn't expect it. I'm most excited for wake Up, I think, really, yeah,

I love that song. This is a really embarrassing admission.
But in year twelve, one of my major art pieces
was basically a shrine to Hillary Duff. I made this.
It was supposed to be one of those mirrors with
the light bulbs around it, and then in the mirror
there were all these drawings that I had done of her.
It was fucking tragic. And I also be good though,
thank you. I have to share it. I've got a photo,

but it's so pixelated. I think mom and our dad
actually threw that out. Oh really, yeah, I have to
see if it's in their shed. If it is, I'll
take a better photo. But anyway, I had written out
the lyrics to wake Up and it said there's people talking,
they talk about you, they know your name, they think
they know everything. And I was going through a bit
of a sad stage at the start of year twelve
with friendship stuff. Anyway, my mum found the piece of

paper that I'd written and she's like, did you write
that's that's lovely? Did you are you going through something?
And I was like, no, I didn't write it as
part of my favorite song, wake Up. Well, I'm very
excited for you to be able to see that live,
probably in my feels. I'll be in my feels during
that one.

The next thing that has been flooding out outspoken Instagram
inbox is the fact that Shameless Media announced yesterday that
it's acquired a multi year partnership with Steph les Smith
and Laura Henshaw's podcast Kick Pod and kick Bump. I
was shocked when I saw that news break.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
I mean the podcast used to be represented by Australia's
largest podcast network, which is Listener, and they have been
with Kick Girls since twenty twenty two, so four years now.
I mean it makes sense that Shameless Media are now
acquiring established shows to appear on their network. For the
last couple of years, they've been creating their own shows,
(25:13):
but Zara and Michelle have both said in order to
continue to grow at the pace that they want, they're
going to have to start taking on shows that already
have established communities. I think the Kickpot and Kickbump are
a great get for them. I mean they bring across
kicks massive community. There was a little bit of confusion
because last year Shameless announced that they were set to
release a parenting podcast, but one that Zara and Michelle
(25:36):
wouldn't be hosting. So they put a bit of a
call out for new hosts and people were like, oh,
is it the kick Bump? Is that the new parenting
podcast that you guys are doing. They have confirmed it's not.
There is going to be another parenting podcast on their network,
But it kind of makes sense if you think from
a sponsorship perspective, there's no point of them seeking parenting
(25:58):
adverts for just one podcast. They may as well bundle
it up and give it to both of the podcasts.
I mean, that's what the large networks are doing these days.
From a revenue perspective, Shameless recently announced that they command
ten percent of Australia's total podcast revenue, so they've obviously
got an extremely good team that are able to get
their show's ads. It'll be really interesting to see how
(26:21):
that trajectory continues when they have more podcasts to fulfill.
I don't think they'll have any issues because when you
look at them as a network, they are specialists in podcasting,
whereas other networks come from radio backgrounds, so a lot
of them have old school radio teams on board that
are used to selling ads for radio, but not so
(26:42):
much for podcasts. So I think that really sets Shameless
Media out from the pack. I'm really interested to see
if this new acquisition means that Shameless will actually be
producing this podcast as well, or whether they won't actually
have control around the creative of this podcast. Because when
you do sign up to a podcast network, there is
(27:03):
the option if you want help to produce it the
network then takes a bigger fee of your sponsorships, or
if you want to have can creative control, they then
take a smaller portion of the sponsorships. Well, Zara and
Michelle have come out and said it's going to be
a really different chapter for the Kick Bump and kick
Pod podcast, So I definitely think they're going to sync
(27:25):
their teeth into it and change the format. I'm excited
to see what they do because we've discussed on the
show before how when step and Laura signed up to
listener that the podcast really changed. It went down a
route of I'd say, sort of like a original Call
Her Daddy esque thing where Stephan Laura spoke a lot
about their sex lives, and we were saying how it
(27:46):
seemed very off brand, it didn't really seem authentic to them.
So I'm interested to see what Zara and Michelle think
their strategy should be moving forward.

I also feel like I had a real radio vibe
to it as well, with sharing these funny stories and
then listeners would share their own stories as well. I mean,
we have had a few criticisms of the program over
its time, but I do actually really enjoy it, Like
I enjoy hearing Steph and Laura's stories about their personal lives.

That's what I want to hear more of. The one
thing I would do if I was producing this podcast
is to tell Laura in the nicest possible way, because
she seems like an absolute sweetheart, to stop having so
many disclaimers when she speaks, and to not be scared
to give her opinion, because I find when Laura gives
her honest opinion, I love it. I'm like, wow, I
one hundred percent agree with you. Like I think behind
(28:38):
closed doors, she would be an absolute I don't say ruthless,
but she's probably a bit of a she'd be great
in business, she'd be probably quite direct, but I feel
like when she's public facing, she suddenly becomes I don't
want to offend anyone. I have to give this disclaimer
here and there, and it's really difficult to follow a
story that she's telling. I think it's a hangover from
twenty twenty where anything you said could be canceled to
(29:00):
wait until September when the new Kick podcasts are being
relaunched under the Shameless banner. So I'm very excited. I
feel like there was a bit of a clue that
something was going on because they recently changed where they
were filming. They used to film in Listener and then
suddenly they were in this brand new set. So it'd
be interesting to see if they continue filming in the
new set whether that is something that Shameless is set
(29:22):
up for them. There's aw some other stat that Shameless
have increased their audience by something like thirty or forty
percent in the last six months, and they actually put
that down to the fact that they've been uploading full
episodes to YouTube. So obviously that is a part of
their strategy for all of their shops. I mean, they're
absolutely incredible. It's inspiring to see what they've created. It
(29:42):
does also put a new spin on what they said
in I think it was a New Year's episode that
they basically set out this year to destroy the competition. Now,
I wonder if that is in reference to Mum and Mia,
who have also been setting up a podcast net. Well,
I mean, they have their own established podcast network, but
within recent years they've also been acquiring other shows, so
(30:03):
it does put a bit of a new spin on it.
I wonder if Listener is shaking in their boots a
little bit because They've sort of become the podcast network
for the big influences. They have a lot of high
profile women on their network, so I wonder if we're
going to see a lot of big moves in the
next couple of months. Just before we go, I thought

that Lucy and Nicky are coming to Adelaide for something
