we said anything wrong. Well, there are a lot of
listeners that are waiting for my clap back, and I'll

I have actually been dealing with a nightmare at home.
My poor son Jack has a bout of gastro and

it hit a couple of days out from his birthday.
I was hoping it would be a short thing. It
has not been. The poor thing had gastro on his
second birthday. It feels like we're in isolation at the moment.
People were having to ring him on FaceTime to wish
him a happy birthday. I was like, this is giving
me a bit of PTSD from COVID time. This is
going to be enraging listeners because I had to look

at our Spotify comments and people were like, can you
stop talking about Pooh because we have been doing some
the LIKEA And I was like, someone's like someone wrote
something like, you girls never used to talk about anything
like this before. You were disgusted by this. I said,
we've been really about Pooh for years on this podcast.
Oh my god, we always talk about it. I mean,
I think for about a year and a half, we

haven't been, you know, talking about our personal lives, not
that that involves Pooh, but our personal lives much. We
haven't been sharing any funny stories and we've decided no,
we're bringing it back. We're bringing it. The ogs want
to hear what's been going on. Maybe people don't.

One thing, one thing exciting that went on that's not
child related is that we were asked to talk at
the poo related Oh your bompoo related was we were
asked to talk at the Women in Media conference and
it was all about podcasting. So we were part of
a panel and it was hilarious because there's been some
photos of the panelists taken and we honestly look like

we are tiny because we were standing next to podcasting
legend Monique Bowley, who happens to be six foot one,
and also Beck Morse, who was a newsreader in Adelaide
a bit of a legend here too, and she's a
very tall woman too, so we look so like the
biggest short ass is. It's quite funny because people, I
think think that we're tall, because when we're together, I've

got a couple of people writing in being like, oh
my god, you guys look like you're so tall. We
are not. We're five five. That's average type. Despite being
stitched up in the photo like that, it was actually
such a fun day because we all had babysitters. We
drove into the city and I was like, really focused
on being on time. I was like, Sophie, we have

to get there, you know, half an hour earlier. I
don't want to be embarrassed walking in late. Unfortunately, my
sense of direction is terrible. And we were meant to
be at the City West Campus, but I took us
to the City East Campus and Amy, you were running late,
and we were smug like, oh, you're got to miss it.
You ended up beating us there. The situation was so dire.

This is quite gross. One of my toe I was
is so long, but it sliced the other toe and
my toe was bleeding. It was like dripping with blood.
I wasn't even wearing high heels. I was wearing flats.

There was. I did have a bit of a it

the women in the crowd were people in the media,
but there were a few UNI students and this lovely
girl came up to me after the event and was like, Oh,
thank you so much for chatting. It's so exciting to

national followings, like and then she was telling me that
she wanted to be a podcast and we were chatting
and she mentioned something she also went to UNISA, which
is where I where we all study journalism, and she
mentioned the name of the newspaper there. It is now
called the Scoop, which is a better it's not called
the Warbler. No, so yes, And I said to her, oh,

I used to be called the Warbler when I was
at UNI. And then she goes, oh, when were you there, Oh,
when did you graduate? And I stopped and I couldn't
even remember the year. I said twenty thirteen, which is
actually a lie because I think we graduated in twenty
eleven or twelve. And no, well, when we did our masters,
I think it was twenty twelve. Anyway, her face dropped
and she's like, oh my god. She goes, I'm so young.

I'm only eighteen. She's like, how old are you? And
I was like thirty seven and she's like what the hell.
She's like, you look so much younger, which was lovely
of her, But then like the fact that she was
so shocked that thirty seven was so old was a
kick to the dick. Oh you use that to be fair?

Indy Clinton has divided opinions over the outfit she decided
to wear to court. The popular influencer was there to
support her husband, ben Azar, who was reportedly suing his
former employer over alleged unfair dismissal. Now, Kate, this outfit
definitely didn't disappoint. My jaw was on the floor when
I saw these pat photos. So for those listeners who

haven't seen the photos, she wore a bright red T
shirt with a Coca Cola style logo that said enjoy
cock now. Quite a bold statement. I wonder how it
went down inside the courtroom. Don't think it would have
gone down very well. I mean I wonder if they
would have tried to censor her. Presumably she could have
put a jacket on. Who knows. Maybe this was just

a stump that she wanted to pull outside the court.
My ex boyfriend's dad was actually a judge, and he
was a lovely man, but very intimidating. And I would
have loved to see his face if Indy Clinton appeared
in his courtroom, because I don't think it would have

frothing it outside the court. The pictures, of course, ran
in the Daily Mail before being picked up by other

news outlets. It feels like it's the month of the
slogan tea. I mean, last week we saw Taylor Swift
wearing her own diy Nick's T shirts to the game.
A couple of weeks ago, Morgan Riddle purchased an Amazon
World's Best Ex Girlfriend t shirt, and now seeing Indy
Clinton wearing an enjoy coock shirt, I mean, I feel

shirts printed with kick to the Dick on them. Maybe
we should have sent one to Indy Clinton. That would
have been the perfect hat for her wed court, because
this whole court case is a bit of a kick

by her, because there's a lot of strategy involved here,

so she wants eyeballs on this court case, and she
also wants to send a clear message to her husband's
former employer, and that is exactly what has happened here
in terms of the messaging. I also found the Coca
Cola reference interesting because late last year, a video of
Indie acting somewhat erratically at the TikTok Awards went viral

and in the comments, people wrongly were speculating that she
was on cocaine. Now, Indy shut down the claims immediately,
saying it was untrue, and she explained that her behavior
looked a little bit off because she was really exhausted.
She also was running late to the event and felt
really rushed on the red carpet. She then also had
a bit of a run in with a journalist who
made a crack about her nose job, so she was

feeling quite upset. She didn't really want to be there.
Now I'm wondering if Ben's employer saw this video accusing
Indy of doing cocaine doing the rounds on social media,
because it went absolutely viral at the time. It had
millions of Vie. We spoke about it on our podcast. Yeah,
and I'm wondering, potentially, is that incident a part of

the reason why her husband was unfairly dismissed. Of course,
I want to point out that this is pure speculation.
I have no idea what went on, but I just
found it really interesting that that was the shirt that
she chose to wear. Well, if that was the case,
I don't know how they would have any leg to
stand on, because I don't know how you can be
fired for your partner's behavior in a public setting. I mean,
I presume they would have been saying that he bought

the company into disrepute by his association with her, But
all seems pretty ridiculous now. India did seem pretty happy
that the media picked up on her T shirt, so
much so that she shared screenshots from the Daily Mail
article and said this, I've.

Had a really adventurous day this morning. I actually accompanied
my husband, as he's trophy wife, to court. I didn't
have enough times to get ready with me this morning
and show you what I was going to wear, so

I never thought red was my color, and looking at
these images, it had a really good time with you, Bert,
so I considered a date pretty much as well.

The session that Indian Ben attended was reportedly a mediation
and both parties are still considering their options. If the

return to court for a case management hearing at a
later date, and I hate to say it, but I
kind of hope it gets to that point so we

a few outfits already planned ready to go. I love

of going to court, but it would have been like
in the age of social media, it would have been

love Indye for her being so outspoken like that. I
wonder if it's her way of pushing them to actually

to ask See I want to know what Ben thinks
about it, because I feel like if I was going

Two Australian influencers are facing backlash for charging two hundred
and fifty dollars a ticket to attend their social media masterclass.
Mia Langley and Sam Guggenheimer were forced to defend themselves
after a content creator labeled their event daylight robbery. Now, so,
before we get into it, can you introduce the main
player starting with Mia? Yeah? So, Mia is a hairdresser
(12:47):
turned influencer who has amassed one hundred and twenty two
thousand followers across Instagram and TikTok. Now, for the past
couple of years, she has been traveling around Australia hosting
her own hair education classes and at the end of
each class she would do a Q and A and
she noticed that the majority of questions she was asked
(13:07):
were about her social media following, so she decided to
create her own social media focused workshop. Now the event
is called Not Just a Hairdresser and it has been
touted as a combined social media and beauty master class.
It has very twenty ten vibes. It sort of reminds
me of the workshops that Michael Finch was doing it
I immediately thought of his master class as well. Now
(13:30):
Mia is originally from Perth but moved to Bondi recently
and that is where she met Sam Guggenheimer. So Sam
is a twenty four year old influencer who has been
involved in a lot of controversy recently. We've spoken a
lot about her in the last year and just like Mia,
Sam also moved to Bondai and the pair have seemingly
struck up a bit of a friendship and a few
(13:52):
weeks after announcing the event, Mia revealed that Sam was
going to be teaming up with her as a guest
speaker at this master class. Now, in terms of what's
been covered in this course, the content is aimed at
budding influencers who want to grow their social media following
and build a brand that stands out. So the curriculum
includes how to build a personal brand, make videos go viral,

be confident in front of a camera, secure brand deals,
and work with influences. I mean, I would say that
those are very valuable skills for someone wanting to get
into that industry. They also said they're sharing editing tips
and tricks and things like camera settings and apps that
they use, as well as their own personal success stories.
The course sounds pretty interesting to me, like, if you
break it down, it is essentially a marketing course, like
(14:37):
a modern day marketing course. Now, about a week after
the event was announced, Amber from Influence updates Au promoted
her on her Instagram live and she was really positive
about it. She admitted though, that she was a little
bit worried because Mia and Sam were yet to actually
lock in a venue for the event, and considering it
was only a few weeks away, she was like, oh,
I'd be a little bit concerned. Now a few days later,

Miya clapped back at Amber in an Instagram reel, saying
that she wished she had an event like this to
attend when she was starting out in the industry and
thanked her for the free market. Now, look, there is
no need to be rude to Amber from Influence Updates.
She is a friend of the podcast and she's an
absolute sweetheart when it comes to influencers. I don't think
she's got a bad bone or bad intention in her
body when it comes to talking about them. No, I

think she was just being like, oh, I hope they
work out the venue. Now, Mia revealed the event is
actually going to be held at a cafe in Bondai.

The next lot of commentary about this master class came
from a micro influencer called Kate Small and in a
now viral TikTok, the nineteen year old labeled the ticket
pricing as daylight robbery and joked if any of her
friends attended the class, she would reconsider their friendship. She
also jokingly vowed to leave the country if more than
five people attended, and she added that she didn't know
(15:52):
a single person in the Eastern Suburbs, which is where
the event is being held who would spend two hundred
and fifty dollars on it now? She also went on
to guess that most likely the people in attendance would
be a bunch of twelve year olds whose parents paid
for the tickets. God, if I was twelve, my parents
would never be paying two hundred and fifty dollars for tea.
I mean, I know that was a long time ago.
But Mia did hit back at Kate's TikTok, labeling it
(16:16):
as mean girl behavior that seems to be the general
line people go for. In the caption, she wrote, girls,
let's build each other up. Sorry, this is again stereotypical girls.
Let's build each other up instead of bringing them down.

Sam responded in the comments, writing, it's not about teaching
people how to be an influencer. It's about bringing young

women together, building community, sharing our experiences, and talking honestly

I can't. I can't two people that are charging two
hundred and fifty dollars for how to be an influencer
crash course, which is what it is, even though now
they're backtracking and saying that it was marketed as that,

fact that they don't realize that the first thing that
they should be teaching at that crash course is that

if you become an influencer, you become vulnerable to criticism,
and the fact that they can't cope with that is crazy.
It was never a personal attack at either of them.
It was an attack at how ridiculous it is to
charge two hundred and fifty dollars for this. Let's just
admit that it was a money grab.

That is such a good point because one thing that
is missing from this curriculum is how to deal with criticism,
controversy and also trolls, which would be very I mean,
we're giving them some ideas here, they don't if you
got to chat TPT for it. Well, I wouldn't be
surprised if they actually added this to the course. And
it's on Monday, so they've got a bit of time
to do it, because it seems like Mia in particular

has been very personally affected by it, which is really sad.
I mean, she's a twenty year old girl. We've got
to remember these women are very young. Yeah, I mean
it's a bad idea. I don't actually think it's a
terrible idea. It'll be interesting to see how it goes
down on Monday, though, and what the response is like
from those who paid a substantial amount of money to
attend it. Maybe that's when more backlash will hit if

it's not very good. It was pretty funny because I
heard Britney Saunders and Matt Hay talking about this course
on their podcast and they were like, oh, we should go,
and I was like, oh, hang on, we should actually
go because I know it's in BONDI. But you can
do you can purchase a virtual ticket. Unfortunately, all the
virtual tickets are actually sold out. But that would have
been a really I mean, that would have been good

content for us. That's what Britt and Matt were saying.
I'm surprised that they'd go along to them be critical
of it, because Britt Saunders is very supportive in the industry. No, no,
she was being really supportive of the whole thing. She
was saying that the backlash they've received is unfair, but
she was saying, Oh, we should actually go and talk
about it, because I mean, I think she's thinking that,
you know, to defend them and say, oh, they actually

covered all of this great stuff. I just want to
go back to some more of Kate Small's criticism because
one of the points she I'm interested to hear your
opinion on Sophie because she said that the premise of
the course makes no sense because becoming an influencer is
all luck. I don't know if that's necessarily true. I
think that to become an influencer now and to cut
(19:13):
through all of the noise in the industry would take
a lot of persistence and consistency and hard work. Okay,
maybe ten years ago it took luck slash being hot
to become an influencer, but now that the industry is
so oversaturated, you need to be doing something different to
stand out. And you know, even if you look at
(19:34):
reels now and tiktoks and some of the brand campaigns
and influencers are doing, there's a lot more to it now.
I mean, let's be honest, you had to be lucky
in the fact that you needed to be hot, you
needed to be physically blessed, but Now, as you said,
it's a very oversaturated market and everyone is trying to
be an influencer. So it is helpful to have people
(19:55):
who have made it in the industry sit down and say, hey,
here's how we did it. In saying that, I do
think you need a certain personality type or something about
you to actually break through. So I think there's a
mixture of luck and also having the right skills. And
it's pretty funny because I've seen you know, friends of
friends trying to crack it and become influencers and they're
(20:16):
uploading youtubes and I think that they could actually use
some help from a course because some of the stuff.
I'm like, this is so bad, Like do you even
know what you're doing? But maybe that's just because we
work in this industry. We've done journalism, you know, we
critique influencers. Maybe I'm like, oh, is it because we
know a lot about it? Or well, if they're demographic
(20:37):
is twelve year olds or you know, girls in the
early twenties, I think that that's quite a savvy market.
I think the people that you're referring to are probably
people in their mid to late thirties who you know,
they've maybe missed the train on some of the social
media trends, etc. I think yeah. I think most young
kids would have some idea of what goes viral, how
to create videos. They're very tech savvy. I want to

talk to you, though, about Sam Guggenheimer's response to the criticism,
because she shared an almost five minute video to TikTok,
and she started off by doing a bit of a
ted talk about how kindness stopped being cool and criticism
became entertainment online. She then launched into defending the course,
saying it was about bringing like minded women together, similar
(21:20):
to what she said in the comment section, and talking
about what it takes to grow a business and an
online presence. She then touched on the ticket pricing, so
she said that the reaction online to the event's ticket
pricing was a prime example of this culture of women
tearing other women down.

Let's take a listen, and you open TikTok and you
see your name in the search bar, and other young
girls or women, older women, for example, making a video
to shame you when you.

Were trying to do good. You were trying to give
back and to meet like minded people, and that has
somehow been shamed. Reality is that this is someone's job.
Events cost money, Menus cost money, marketing costs money, planning
cost money, and time cost money. To then make this profitable,

people need to set a price to make it worth
it for them as well. Life isn't free and that sucks,
I know, but life isn't free and time is money.
And it's the same people that are probably shaming this
and saying two hundred and fifty dollars is so expensive
that won't look twice about buying substances on the weekend

and don't even blink an eyelid.

The way Sam phrased a lot of this conversation was
quite interesting because she kept referring to herself as you
rather than I. And I don't know if this was
a subconscious thing, but it is actually a coping mechanism
a lot of people use to kind of distance themselves
from a situation. I think that's what was happening here.
It's also a way of reframing the situation, so it
(23:01):
kind of puts on the person that is watching thinking, oh, okay, well,
if I was in that situation, that's probably what I
would do as well. I think she was trying to
seek a bit of sympathy here as well. I think
that's why she framed it like that. Well, I mean,
it didn't really help because she did couple lot of
negative comments in the comment section. People were saying, look
like she was reading off a script on her laptop,
and she did later admit that she wrote her thoughts
(23:23):
down and she was simply referencing what she wrote. Other
people chimed in and agreed with Kate Small, saying that
they thought that this was written straight from chat GPT.
I tend to agree with someone who uses chat GPT
a lot. I was like, that is definitely from chat.
Can I point out that you did not use it
for this podcast though, Oh no, I use it for
every I mean my my biggest thing that I use
(23:43):
it for is my health anxiety. Yes. But now, one
comment that Sam made that really stood out to me
was her saying that she's giving back. I personally don't
really think you're giving back if you're being paid to speak.
I mean, you're literally being financially compensated for it, So
it's not some charitable act. I understand that you are
giving your advice, but you're being paid for that advice.

I couldn't believe the comment she made about the people
criticizing the price are probably the people who spend money
on illicit substances on the weekend. I was like, where
is that. I'm surprised she didn't say, oh, peptides are
cheaper than this. Come on everyone. Now. Off the back
of this backlash, Mia has since announced that she's discounting
tickets by twenty one percent. Now, I thought, wow, that

is a very random number. But that's because she's about
to celebrate her twenty first birthday, So it sort of
ties in there. I mean, let's be honest, it's likely
that they quickly came up with that marketing ploy. I
don't think that they were always going to do that.
I mean, her birthday isn't actually for a month or so. Yeah,
so that's them saying, actually, we're not reducing the prices
because we agree with you and they're expensive. It's just

apparently this birthday is coming up. I mean, it shows
to me that not many people were buying. No. Now,
Mia claimed that the tickets were now cheap as fuck?
What do you think? Look, Maths is not my strong suit,
but when I had a look at the ticket prices,
and now the discounts, I was like, this is not
adding up. So the most expensive ticket, which is two
hundred and fifty dollars, goes down to one hundred and forty.

Now that is a lot more than twenty one percent.
A twenty one percent discount would bring them down to

a bit odd in terms of whether I think it's
a fair price. I personally think if Sam Guggenheimer wasn't
involved in this event, there would have been no backlash
about this ticket price. Sam is fresh off the back

of a lot of controversies, and I think people are
finding it quite ironic and probably hypocritical that she's giving
social media tips when she's recently been canceled. I mean,
I didn't think that it was an eye watering price.
Maybe this is because I've grown up in the twenty
tens with Michael Finch charging all like six hundred dollars
a ticket and you know you get a goodie bag
with it.

Well, I actually went back and looked at Michael Finch's
ticket pricing because I was like, I remember it being
really expensive. Back again, there was no backlash over it,
so his's tickets for his Makeup master class started at

Miya has also revealed that she in the past has
sold seventy tickets to her hairdressing class, which each costs

four hundred dollars. So I don't think that the ticketing
pricing is extortionate at all. I think there's also an
element of the fact that we don't really respect the
job of influencers as a society, so therefore we think
being taught about being an influencer is not worthy of
a paid ticket. This is giving me a bit of
an idea. Should we launch how to Be a podcast

class and will only charge four ninety nine? Absolutely, but
we would we would never do that to our listeners.
That that is extortion. No, we would just touched two
fifty two forty nine ninety nine. Now, I do think
we need to remember you did touch on an earlier cage.
Just how young these women are. Mia is only twenty

one and Sam is only twenty four, and while they
do have successful online careers, it's clear that they're still learning.
So it's not nice to see mea talking about having
panic attacks and losing sleep over this backlash. This would
be massive in their worlds, and it's clear that they're
both rattled by it. I mean, Mia flew home to
Perth last weekend because she wasn't coping with the backlash,

and she's even started a fundraiser to donate to Bully
zero and said there will be opportunities to donate to
the charity at the event. I kind of reflect on
myself as a twenty one year old, I was absolute baby.
I wouldn't have been able to handle any of this. No,
neither would I. But I mean I do find Kate Small,
the nineteen year old micro influencer's opinion, quite interesting how

she said, Well, a big part of being an influencer
is dealing with criticism, and it is interesting that they
are putting on a course about how to become an influencer,
but then really didn't deal with the criticism over the
price that Well, the thing that is tough for them
is that whenever an influencer releases a brand or an
event or some sort of masterclass, there is always going

to be extra cri due to their profile. Yeah, it's
something I think unfortunately the influencers kind of have to expect,
particularly those who have been involved in a lot of
controversies recently. Now, as I touched on, this event is
on Monday. How many people do you think will be there?
Did they say how many tickets they've sold? No, they haven't,

so I really wonder. I mean, it's being held at
a cafe. It's not like you'd fit heaps people in there.
I remember Madison Woolly and Caitlin Rodriguez doing a podcast
catch up with some friends. I mean, this wasn't a
paid event. It was sort of just a bit of
a call out. I reckon only two or three people
turned up, surely they would pull the pin on this
event if not many tickets get sold. I mean, not

to devalue what they're teaching at their course, but someone
like Sam Guggenheimer, who is a big influencer in the
sense she has a lot of followers, I question her
pull in terms of how many people are actually legitimate
fans of her and really like her, Like I think
because of all this mean girl stuff that's been going on,
and you know, the fat phobic comment from her best

friend Bill and she are sharing that comment and being
implicated in it, I would say her fan base isn't
very big at the moment, so I don't think she's
going to attract people, say like a shiny Grimmin would
have back in the day to come and see her speak.
So I'm very interested. I think they're probably going to
get a lot of filler crowd from their friends. Right

at the moment of truth Sky, Wheatley is sending us
mixed messages and we can't work out what's going on.
It appears she has moved out of her newly renovated mansion,
despite still posting happy family content. This really threw me
because on Monday she revealed her new room to her followers,
so the room was not in her mansion, and I

have a feeling it potentially is her old bedroom at
her mum's house or just another townhouse. It was so weird.
So she posed in front of mirrored built ins and wrote,
how cute is my new room? Feel like a teenager again.
She also I feel that she was going to start
a new renovation series and wanted to know if the
wall between the room and another one could be knocked down.
It's funny because we keep using the term mansion, but

what actually constitutes a mansion? In twenty twenty six, because
I used to think a mansion was a house that
was over a million dollars. I mean, these days, a
lot of houses that you would not call mansions are
now a million dollars. Well, I think a mansion is
determined by the number of rooms and the land size.
So I would think that any house that perhaps had

over seven bedrooms, well six bedrooms, is a mansion. I've
got a Google definition for you says a mansion is
a very large, impressive, and stately residence, typically spanning over
eight thousand square feet. A true mansion is defined by
its grand architecture, luxurious amenities, blah blah blah. So I
actually do think that Sky's house falls into that category

now that it's been renovated, definitely. I mean, she is
dropping so many clues here by saying that she feels
like a teenager again, and this is my new room.
It's not She's like, oh, Locke and I are staying
here because we sold the house. This is our room.

they're not together. I mean, she also made a bunch
of digs at Lockie, so she filmed her mom's new ring.

Her mum was rocking this new Pandora ring and it
happened to be on her wedding finger. She's not engaged,
and Sky goes, I wonder if I'll ever get one
of those. Probably not, I'll just buy my own, and

I mean, Sky has been waiting a long time. Lockie
said he was going to propose. Wasn't it around the

time when Sky went into I'm a celebrity. Wasn't he saying, oh,
I was going to do this. That's so confusing because
a couple of weeks ago she did a Q and
A and a follower asked her whether she was upset
that Locke hadn't popped the question yet, considering they'd been

assuming that I want to get married, So she was
sort of saying it's not something that necessarily interests her
or that she wants to do. So, yeah, it's a

bit confusing. I want to get back to these potshots
because she also shared a video of her dancing, saying
that her light is coming back this time and she
is about to get rogue. She also shared a meme
that said all men will annoy you, Some men will

it's only going to make you strong. And since then
she's away on a brand trip with one of her
friends and the post that she is sharing, I have
to say, a very attention seeking. I love a rogue
Scot Wheatley, and I think that we need more of it.
It is typical. I've just become single behavior though, Like
you know, any time a friend starts sharing these types

of Instagram stories, something is going on. They're suddenly all
out and about hot to trot, you know, putting their
best foot forward. There's a lot of selfies, I mean,
obviously there's a lot of deleting going on as well
of their partner's pictures. The weirdest thing is on Tuesday,
she did a complete one eighty and shared a TikTok
of a family trip to a waterfall which featured and

in one shot they were cuddled up. I don't know
if this was like banked up content that she wanted
to get out of there, but it was all very weird. Well,
it's sort of like when they announced that they were separated,
and then on TikTok there were all of those videos
of them making a bed, which was clearly some sort
of paid partnership thing that she had to put out there.
I've always liked Sky and Lockey together, but at this point,

I almost feel like Sky would be better off being single.
She doesn't seem happy in this relationship, and it seems
like she hasn't been happy for quite a while. I mean,
let's be honest. She basically said that they were staying
together to get this house done. The house is basically complete.
Imagine having to move out of it now into this
crappy bedroom now that it's all finished and looking beautiful.

and everyone is talking about Brooklyn Beckham taking a swipe

at his parents in that door dash ad. Let's take
a listen to what he said.

It's the long story. Brooklyn is then shown placing his
FIFA World Cup tickets on a glass table as the
words It's complicated more soon pop up. Now, if that
wasn't enough, there are apparently some Taylor Swift style easter
eggs scattered throughout this clip, So when Brooklyn places the
World Cup tickets on the table, you can see a

pile of unopened letters and this is apparently in reference
to David and Victoria's please for reconciliation. There's also a
watch discarded on the coffee table and it looks very
similar to the four hundred and seventy five thousand dollars
watch that David gifted to Brooklyn. Lastly, there's a snow
globe on the table, and this is apparently a nod

to Victoria's snow globe collection, and this was highlighted during
her Netflix series. So bizarrely, Victoria is a keen collector
of snow globes. I didn't have her down as a collector.
He also seemed to take a bit of a potshot
at himself. He probably wanted to look like he was
in on the joke because there was a camera on
the table, which I think is supposed to be seen

as him having a gibe over his very short limb
photography career. Now, the follow up DoorDash video came out
yesterday and the gimmick is that door Dash are dropping
Brooklyn's supposed tickets in secret locations for DoorDash shoppers to find.
So DoorDash must be absolutely stoked by the reaction to
this video. It's not great pr for Brooklyn, but it's

great pr for door Dash, and they've been doing some
incredible ads lately which are getting a lot of traction.
We spoke about their Mother's Day campaign that they did
with Indy Clinton and beck Judd and a couple of
other influences. I don't understand why Brooklyn Beckham was involved
in this though, Like I see the upside for door Dash,
but all that's done is ruin the reputation that he
was trying to build for himself. He had a bit

of upper hand. He was saying, you know, my family
have used me for pr and this is unfair. And
then he's a complete hypocrite and does the same thing
and tries to exploit his family feud. It's embarrassing for
the presser dubbing this Brooklyn's Privacy Tour, and that is
on the back of the south Park episode where they
paid out Harry and Began's worldwide privacy tour. And I agree,

it's so embarrassing. He's literally gaining off this feud and
a lot of people are saying this is the only
way he's able to stay relevant. I mean, clearly, it's
not a money thing because he's married a billionaire's daughter
that money isn't an issue for him. Really, I think
it is a money thing because he's been cut off
from his parents. He probably feels a bit pathetic going
to the in laws for some cash. He needn't start

making his own money. Clearly, no one's buying his What
does he sell, like hot sauce or something like? No
one wants it. Everyone's pissed off. Everyone is very defensive
over the Beckhams. I need to put it out there.
I am team Beckham, and I think that a lot
of people have probably moved to Team Beckham after this. Well,
the Beckhams have been cleverly using their PR team to
send out messages to the press, and according to an insider,

the Beckhams are saying that the ad was in poor
taste and it was an attempt for Brooklyn to remain relevant.
Imagine saying that about your own kid, though I know
you know what I mean. Like, the source went on
to say, to do an advert based on estrangement from
family as if it's a joke when his family is
devastated and his sister and grandparents are inconsolable is shocking,

especially from someone who claims he wants peace and privacy.
I mean, this past week has not been a good
look for Brooklyn because there have been some pat photos
that appeared of his sister Harper trying to visit him,
and she's seen standing at the door ringing the doorbell,
no one answers. She then is seen dropping a letter
and apparently Brooklyn's team claimed that he was in New York,

he wasn't there at the time, Nikola wasn't home, and
that they think that this was a publicity stunt from
the Beckhams. Well, Amy, you mentioned that there were a
number of unopened envelopes on the table, and people are wondering,
is this a little bit of a nod towards the
envelope that Harper left on his doors. Well, this only
happened this week. I mean that ad would have been
filmed probably weeks and weeks ago to be ready to

a video from Venezuela Fury's new husband, Noah Price, and

very close. Also has he not been watching the news.
This name and gender has been everywhere. It's international news,
and Molly, she made a big effort to be part
of Noah and Venezuela's big day. You think the least
he could do is pay attention to the news and
work out the baby's name. I mean, it's pretty embarrassing.
You think he would be used to unique names marrying

into the Fury family. I mean, you know Tyson Fury's kids,
You've got Venezuela, You've got now they're all called prince,
remember all five of them Prince, but they've all got
their other nicknames. I actually can't get enough of these two.
There was another video that kept popping up for me
this week and it's gone absolutely viral. It's of Noah
reviewing Venezuela's cooking. So they did this live stream and

everyone's been chopping up bits and pieces for TikTok, and
in it, Venezuela serves him bangers and mash with some
Yorkshire puddings. And someone asked in the live chat or
how's married life? And he responds free cooking with a

Off Campus, we talked about this Ossie guy who was

be dating one of the Kadashian or Jenna's sisters very soon,
because that seems to be what happens with the up

and coming actors. Well, the Ossie ones in particularly, didn't
realize that he used to date Carti and Milan. Yes,
I told you after Like as soon as I turned
you know, you guys begged me to watch Off Campus,
I flicked it on. I'm like, that's Cartion Molan's ex.
I was like, I don't think that realize. Yeah, I
mean I hadn't seen it, like I would have twigged
straight away. I know she spoke about him. Being an

actor when they were dating, but I didn't realize he
was actually on Heartbreak High, which is where Ella became
a fan of his. Yeah. So she said that when
she was auditioning for off campus, they had to do
all of these chemistry reads and she discovered that she

staying in the same hotel. So she wrung up her
friends and were like, oh my god, he's here. And

then when she was walking out to get her taxi,

like she is a teenager. I actually felt the chemistry

have a crush on him. This story actually reminds me
a bit of when we worked with Rob Mills on

Young Talent Time. So we got cast as runners or
something and show runners. Yeah, and Millsy was hosting the show,
and we absolutely loved Mealsy growing up like we were
the biggest fangirls. My pilaner was just covered in photos
of him. But we went with the option of pretending

just sitting there like, I don't know what we felt

was going on. But despite the fact that we met him,
several times at meet and greets. I mean, and we
are identical trip. It was not saying that we're so memorable,
but like, you know, it's pretty funny because phials actually
popped up on my TikTok the other day. It was
his first TikTok video and he did a bit of
an introduction of who he is, and the first thing
he said was I potentially was your first crush. And

I was like, oh my god. I read the comments.
I'm like so many people like me felt seen. I
was like, how did he know. He's also been doing
a media tour at the moment with his fiance Georgie Tunney.

Filter with Kate Langbrook and the interview looks so good.
I want to know was she a fan of his

growing up, because she would have been around She's a
little bit younger than Millsy. She probably I think she's
around our age, so she would have been like fourteen

and I feel like we would actually just putting it

Taylor Swift podcast. She's a journalist and Millsy was talking
about how he slid into her DMS and he kept

Just debatable whether it was controversial, Sophie, I didn't think
we said anything wrong. Well, there are a lot of
listeners that are waiting for my clap back, and I'll
probably do it behind the privacy of the subs. But anyway,
I have actually been dealing with a nightmare at home.
My poor son Jack has a bout of gastro and

it hit a couple of days out from his birthday.
I was hoping it would be a short thing. It
has not been. The poor thing had gastro on his
second birthday. It feels like we're in isolation at the moment.
People were having to ring him on FaceTime to wish
him a happy birthday. I was like, this is giving
me a bit of PTSD from COVID time. This is
going to be enraging listeners because I had to look

at our Spotify comments and people were like, can you
stop talking about Pooh because we have been doing some
the LIKEA And I was like, someone's like someone wrote
something like, you girls never used to talk about anything
like this before. You were disgusted by this. I said,

I think for about a year and a half, we

haven't been, you know, talking about our personal lives, not
that that involves Pooh, but our personal lives much. We
haven't been sharing any funny stories and we've decided no,

One thing, one thing exciting that went on that's not
child related is that we were asked to talk at

asked to talk at the Women in Media conference and
it was all about podcasting. So we were part of
a panel and it was hilarious because there's been some
photos of the panelists taken and we honestly look like

we are tiny because we were standing next to podcasting
legend Monique Bowley, who happens to be six foot one,
and also Beck Morse, who was a newsreader in Adelaide
a bit of a legend here too, and she's a
very tall woman too, so we look so like the
biggest short ass is. It's quite funny because people, I
think think that we're tall, because when we're together, I've

got a couple of people writing in being like, oh
my god, you guys look like you're so tall. We
are not. We're five five. That's average type. Despite being
stitched up in the photo like that, it was actually
such a fun day because we all had babysitters. We
drove into the city and I was like, really focused
on being on time. I was like, Sophie, we have

to get there, you know, half an hour earlier. I
don't want to be embarrassed walking in late. Unfortunately, my
sense of direction is terrible. And we were meant to
be at the City West Campus, but I took us
to the City East Campus and Amy, you were running late,
and we were smug like, oh, you're got to miss it.
You ended up beating us there. The situation was so dire.

This is quite gross. One of my toe I was
is so long, but it sliced the other toe and

Two Australian influencers are facing backlash for charging two hundred
and fifty dollars a ticket to attend their social media masterclass.
Mia Langley and Sam Guggenheimer were forced to defend themselves
after a content creator labeled their event daylight robbery. Now, so,
before we get into it, can you introduce the main
player starting with Mia? Yeah? So, Mia is a hairdresser

turned influencer who has amassed one hundred and twenty two
thousand followers across Instagram and TikTok. Now, for the past
couple of years, she has been traveling around Australia hosting
her own hair education classes and at the end of
each class she would do a Q and A and
she noticed that the majority of questions she was asked

were about her social media following, so she decided to
create her own social media focused workshop. Now the event
is called Not Just a Hairdresser and it has been
touted as a combined social media and beauty master class.
It has very twenty ten vibes. It sort of reminds
me of the workshops that Michael Finch was doing it
I immediately thought of his master class as well. Now

Mia is originally from Perth but moved to Bondi recently
and that is where she met Sam Guggenheimer. So Sam
is a twenty four year old influencer who has been
involved in a lot of controversy recently. We've spoken a
lot about her in the last year and just like Mia,
Sam also moved to Bondai and the pair have seemingly
struck up a bit of a friendship and a few

weeks after announcing the event, Mia revealed that Sam was
going to be teaming up with her as a guest
speaker at this master class. Now, in terms of what's
been covered in this course, the content is aimed at
budding influencers who want to grow their social media following
and build a brand that stands out. So the curriculum
includes how to build a personal brand, make videos go viral,

be confident in front of a camera, secure brand deals,
and work with influences. I mean, I would say that
those are very valuable skills for someone wanting to get
into that industry. They also said they're sharing editing tips
and tricks and things like camera settings and apps that
they use, as well as their own personal success stories.
The course sounds pretty interesting to me, like, if you
break it down, it is essentially a marketing course, like

a modern day marketing course. Now, about a week after
the event was announced, Amber from Influence updates Au promoted
her on her Instagram live and she was really positive
about it. She admitted though, that she was a little
bit worried because Mia and Sam were yet to actually
lock in a venue for the event, and considering it
was only a few weeks away, she was like, oh,
I'd be a little bit concerned. Now a few days later,

Miya clapped back at Amber in an Instagram reel, saying
that she wished she had an event like this to
attend when she was starting out in the industry and
thanked her for the free market. Now, look, there is
no need to be rude to Amber from Influence Updates.
She is a friend of the podcast and she's an
absolute sweetheart when it comes to influencers. I don't think
she's got a bad bone or bad intention in her
body when it comes to talking about them. No, I

think she was just being like, oh, I hope they
work out the venue. Now, Mia revealed the event is
actually going to be held at a cafe in Bondai.

The next lot of commentary about this master class came
from a micro influencer called Kate Small and in a
now viral TikTok, the nineteen year old labeled the ticket
pricing as daylight robbery and joked if any of her
friends attended the class, she would reconsider their friendship. She
also jokingly vowed to leave the country if more than
five people attended, and she added that she didn't know
(15:52):
a single person in the Eastern Suburbs, which is where
the event is being held who would spend two hundred
and fifty dollars on it now? She also went on
to guess that most likely the people in attendance would
be a bunch of twelve year olds whose parents paid
for the tickets. God, if I was twelve, my parents
would never be paying two hundred and fifty dollars for tea.
I mean, I know that was a long time ago.
But Mia did hit back at Kate's TikTok, labeling it

as mean girl behavior that seems to be the general
line people go for. In the caption, she wrote, girls,
let's build each other up. Sorry, this is again stereotypical girls.
Let's build each other up instead of bringing them down.

people how to be an influencer. It's about bringing young

they should be teaching at that crash course is that

if you become an influencer, you become vulnerable to criticism,
and the fact that they can't cope with that is crazy.
It was never a personal attack at either of them.

admit that it was a money grab.

That is such a good point because one thing that
is missing from this curriculum is how to deal with criticism,
controversy and also trolls, which would be very I mean,
we're giving them some ideas here, they don't if you
got to chat TPT for it. Well, I wouldn't be
surprised if they actually added this to the course. And
it's on Monday, so they've got a bit of time
to do it, because it seems like Mia in particular

has been very personally affected by it, which is really sad.
I mean, she's a twenty year old girl. We've got
to remember these women are very young. Yeah, I mean
it's a bad idea. I don't actually think it's a
terrible idea. It'll be interesting to see how it goes
down on Monday, though, and what the response is like
from those who paid a substantial amount of money to
attend it. Maybe that's when more backlash will hit if

heard Britney Saunders and Matt Hay talking about this course
on their podcast and they were like, oh, we should go,
and I was like, oh, hang on, we should actually
go because I know it's in BONDI. But you can

virtual tickets are actually sold out. But that would have
been a really I mean, that would have been good

content for us. That's what Britt and Matt were saying.
I'm surprised that they'd go along to them be critical
of it, because Britt Saunders is very supportive in the industry. No, no,
she was being really supportive of the whole thing. She
was saying that the backlash they've received is unfair, but
she was saying, Oh, we should actually go and talk
about it, because I mean, I think she's thinking that,
you know, to defend them and say, oh, they actually

covered all of this great stuff. I just want to
go back to some more of Kate Small's criticism because
one of the points she I'm interested to hear your
opinion on Sophie because she said that the premise of
the course makes no sense because becoming an influencer is
all luck. I don't know if that's necessarily true. I
think that to become an influencer now and to cut

through all of the noise in the industry would take
a lot of persistence and consistency and hard work. Okay,
maybe ten years ago it took luck slash being hot
to become an influencer, but now that the industry is
so oversaturated, you need to be doing something different to
stand out. And you know, even if you look at

reels now and tiktoks and some of the brand campaigns
and influencers are doing, there's a lot more to it now.
I mean, let's be honest, you had to be lucky
in the fact that you needed to be hot, you
needed to be physically blessed, but Now, as you said,
it's a very oversaturated market and everyone is trying to
be an influencer. So it is helpful to have people

who have made it in the industry sit down and say, hey,
here's how we did it. In saying that, I do
think you need a certain personality type or something about
you to actually break through. So I think there's a
mixture of luck and also having the right skills. And
it's pretty funny because I've seen you know, friends of
friends trying to crack it and become influencers and they're

uploading youtubes and I think that they could actually use
some help from a course because some of the stuff.
I'm like, this is so bad, Like do you even
know what you're doing? But maybe that's just because we
work in this industry. We've done journalism, you know, we
critique influencers. Maybe I'm like, oh, is it because we
know a lot about it? Or well, if they're demographic
(20:37):
is twelve year olds or you know, girls in the
early twenties, I think that that's quite a savvy market.
I think the people that you're referring to are probably
people in their mid to late thirties who you know,
they've maybe missed the train on some of the social
media trends, etc. I think yeah. I think most young
kids would have some idea of what goes viral, how
to create videos. They're very tech savvy. I want to

talk to you, though, about Sam Guggenheimer's response to the criticism,
because she shared an almost five minute video to TikTok,
and she started off by doing a bit of a
ted talk about how kindness stopped being cool and criticism
became entertainment online. She then launched into defending the course,
saying it was about bringing like minded women together, similar

to what she said in the comment section, and talking
about what it takes to grow a business and an
online presence. She then touched on the ticket pricing, so
she said that the reaction online to the event's ticket
pricing was a prime example of this culture of women
tearing other women down.

see your name in the search bar, and other young
girls or women, older women, for example, making a video
to shame you when you.

Were trying to do good. You were trying to give
back and to meet like minded people, and that has
somehow been shamed. Reality is that this is someone's job.
Events cost money, Menus cost money, marketing costs money, planning
cost money, and time cost money. To then make this profitable,

people need to set a price to make it worth
it for them as well. Life isn't free and that sucks,
I know, but life isn't free and time is money.
And it's the same people that are probably shaming this
and saying two hundred and fifty dollars is so expensive
that won't look twice about buying substances on the weekend

The way Sam phrased a lot of this conversation was
quite interesting because she kept referring to herself as you
rather than I. And I don't know if this was
a subconscious thing, but it is actually a coping mechanism
a lot of people use to kind of distance themselves
from a situation. I think that's what was happening here.
It's also a way of reframing the situation, so it

kind of puts on the person that is watching thinking, oh, okay, well,
if I was in that situation, that's probably what I
would do as well. I think she was trying to
seek a bit of sympathy here as well. I think
that's why she framed it like that. Well, I mean,
it didn't really help because she did couple lot of
negative comments in the comment section. People were saying, look
like she was reading off a script on her laptop,
and she did later admit that she wrote her thoughts

down and she was simply referencing what she wrote. Other
people chimed in and agreed with Kate Small, saying that
they thought that this was written straight from chat GPT.
I tend to agree with someone who uses chat GPT
a lot. I was like, that is definitely from chat.
Can I point out that you did not use it
for this podcast though, Oh no, I use it for
every I mean my my biggest thing that I use

it for is my health anxiety. Yes. But now, one
comment that Sam made that really stood out to me
was her saying that she's giving back. I personally don't
really think you're giving back if you're being paid to speak.
I mean, you're literally being financially compensated for it, So
it's not some charitable act. I understand that you are
giving your advice, but you're being paid for that advice.

I couldn't believe the comment she made about the people
criticizing the price are probably the people who spend money
on illicit substances on the weekend. I was like, where
is that. I'm surprised she didn't say, oh, peptides are
cheaper than this. Come on everyone. Now. Off the back
of this backlash, Mia has since announced that she's discounting
tickets by twenty one percent. Now, I thought, wow, that

is a very random number. But that's because she's about
to celebrate her twenty first birthday, So it sort of
ties in there. I mean, let's be honest, it's likely
that they quickly came up with that marketing ploy. I
don't think that they were always going to do that.
I mean, her birthday isn't actually for a month or so. Yeah,
so that's them saying, actually, we're not reducing the prices
because we agree with you and they're expensive. It's just

apparently this birthday is coming up. I mean, it shows
to me that not many people were buying. No. Now,
Mia claimed that the tickets were now cheap as fuck?
What do you think? Look, Maths is not my strong suit,
but when I had a look at the ticket prices,
and now the discounts, I was like, this is not
adding up. So the most expensive ticket, which is two
hundred and fifty dollars, goes down to one hundred and forty.

Now that is a lot more than twenty one percent.
A twenty one percent discount would bring them down to
one hundred and ninety seven to fifty. So it's all
a bit odd in terms of whether I think it's
a fair price. I personally think if Sam Guggenheimer wasn't
involved in this event, there would have been no backlash
about this ticket price. Sam is fresh off the back

of a lot of controversies, and I think people are
finding it quite ironic and probably hypocritical that she's giving
social media tips when she's recently been canceled. I mean,
I didn't think that it was an eye watering price.
Maybe this is because I've grown up in the twenty
tens with Michael Finch charging all like six hundred dollars
a ticket and you know you get a goodie bag
with it.

Well, I actually went back and looked at Michael Finch's
ticket pricing because I was like, I remember it being
really expensive. Back again, there was no backlash over it,
so his's tickets for his Makeup master class started at

Miya has also revealed that she in the past has
sold seventy tickets to her hairdressing class, which each costs

four hundred dollars. So I don't think that the ticketing
pricing is extortionate at all. I think there's also an
element of the fact that we don't really respect the
job of influencers as a society, so therefore we think
being taught about being an influencer is not worthy of
a paid ticket. This is giving me a bit of
an idea. Should we launch how to Be a podcast

class and will only charge four ninety nine? Absolutely, but
we would we would never do that to our listeners.
That that is extortion. No, we would just touched two
fifty two forty nine ninety nine. Now, I do think
we need to remember you did touch on an earlier cage.
Just how young these women are. Mia is only twenty

one and Sam is only twenty four, and while they
do have successful online careers, it's clear that they're still learning.
So it's not nice to see mea talking about having
panic attacks and losing sleep over this backlash. This would
be massive in their worlds, and it's clear that they're
both rattled by it. I mean, Mia flew home to
Perth last weekend because she wasn't coping with the backlash,

and she's even started a fundraiser to donate to Bully
zero and said there will be opportunities to donate to
the charity at the event. I kind of reflect on
myself as a twenty one year old, I was absolute baby.
I wouldn't have been able to handle any of this. No,
neither would I. But I mean I do find Kate Small,
the nineteen year old micro influencer's opinion, quite interesting how

she said, Well, a big part of being an influencer
is dealing with criticism, and it is interesting that they
are putting on a course about how to become an influencer,
but then really didn't deal with the criticism over the
price that Well, the thing that is tough for them
is that whenever an influencer releases a brand or an
event or some sort of masterclass, there is always going

to be extra cri due to their profile. Yeah, it's
something I think unfortunately the influencers kind of have to expect,
particularly those who have been involved in a lot of
controversies recently. Now, as I touched on, this event is
on Monday. How many people do you think will be there?
Did they say how many tickets they've sold? No, they haven't,

so I really wonder. I mean, it's being held at
a cafe. It's not like you'd fit heaps people in there.
I remember Madison Woolly and Caitlin Rodriguez doing a podcast
catch up with some friends. I mean, this wasn't a
paid event. It was sort of just a bit of
a call out. I reckon only two or three people
turned up, surely they would pull the pin on this
event if not many tickets get sold. I mean, not

to devalue what they're teaching at their course, but someone
like Sam Guggenheimer, who is a big influencer in the
sense she has a lot of followers, I question her
pull in terms of how many people are actually legitimate
fans of her and really like her, Like I think
because of all this mean girl stuff that's been going on,

friend Bill and she are sharing that comment and being
implicated in it, I would say her fan base isn't
very big at the moment, so I don't think she's
going to attract people, say like a shiny Grimmin would

lot of houses that you would not call mansions are
now a million dollars. Well, I think a mansion is
determined by the number of rooms and the land size.
So I would think that any house that perhaps had
(30:30):
over seven bedrooms, well six bedrooms, is a mansion. I've
got a Google definition for you says a mansion is
a very large, impressive, and stately residence, typically spanning over
eight thousand square feet. A true mansion is defined by
its grand architecture, luxurious amenities, blah blah blah. So I
actually do think that Sky's house falls into that category
(30:51):
now that it's been renovated, definitely. I mean, she is
dropping so many clues here by saying that she feels
like a teenager again, and this is my new room.
It's not She's like, oh, Locke and I are staying
here because we sold the house. This is our room.
You know, we're going to hit me here for a
little bit, Like she wants people to start speculating that
they're not together. I mean, she also made a bunch
of digs at Lockie, so she filmed her mom's new ring.

Her mum was rocking this new Pandora ring and it
happened to be on her wedding finger. She's not engaged,
and Sky goes, I wonder if I'll ever get one
of those. Probably not, I'll just buy my own, and
then her Mum's like, oh, that's what I did. Well
to fair, Also, to be fair, it's a good question.
I mean, Sky has been waiting a long time. Lockie
said he was going to propose. Wasn't it around the
(31:34):
time when Sky went into I'm a celebrity. Wasn't he saying, oh,
I was going to do this. That's so confusing because
a couple of weeks ago she did a Q and
A and a follower asked her whether she was upset
that Locke hadn't popped the question yet, considering they'd been
together for a long time, and she said, well, you're
assuming that I want to get married, So she was
sort of saying it's not something that necessarily interests her
or that she wants to do. So, yeah, it's a
(31:57):
bit confusing. I want to get back to these potshots
because she also shared a video of her dancing, saying
that her light is coming back this time and she
is about to get rogue. She also shared a meme
that said all men will annoy you, Some men will
annoy you in Italy choose wisely. She then was miming
with her friend to the lyrics life goes on and
(32:18):
it's only going to make you strong. And since then
she's away on a brand trip with one of her
friends and the post that she is sharing, I have
to say, a very attention seeking. I love a rogue
Scot Wheatley, and I think that we need more of it.
It is typical. I've just become single behavior though, Like
you know, any time a friend starts sharing these types
(32:38):
of Instagram stories, something is going on. They're suddenly all
out and about hot to trot, you know, putting their
best foot forward. There's a lot of selfies, I mean,
obviously there's a lot of deleting going on as well
of their partner's pictures. The weirdest thing is on Tuesday,
she did a complete one eighty and shared a TikTok
of a family trip to a waterfall which featured and
(33:00):
in one shot they were cuddled up. I don't know
if this was like banked up content that she wanted
to get out of there, but it was all very weird. Well,
it's sort of like when they announced that they were separated,
and then on TikTok there were all of those videos
of them making a bed, which was clearly some sort
of paid partnership thing that she had to put out there.
I've always liked Sky and Lockey together, but at this point,

I almost feel like Sky would be better off being single.
She doesn't seem happy in this relationship, and it seems
like she hasn't been happy for quite a while. I mean,
let's be honest. She basically said that they were staying
together to get this house done. The house is basically complete.
Imagine having to move out of it now into this
crappy bedroom now that it's all finished and looking beautiful.

She probably has a lot of cash in her bank
account instead, though. Yeah, but better to be happy in
a crappy bedroom than miserable in a mansion. I don't know,
crying in a mansion sounds all right now, I'm just joking.
I totally agree on you. I got a text. Now
let's get into what's been blowing up up our group chat,
and everyone is talking about Brooklyn Beckham taking a swipe
(34:04):
at his parents in that door dash ad. Let's take
a listen to what he said.

You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup
twenty twenty six from home.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
It's the long story. Brooklyn is then shown placing his
FIFA World Cup tickets on a glass table as the
words It's complicated more soon pop up. Now, if that
wasn't enough, there are apparently some Taylor Swift style easter
eggs scattered throughout this clip, So when Brooklyn places the
World Cup tickets on the table, you can see a
(34:36):
pile of unopened letters and this is apparently in reference
to David and Victoria's please for reconciliation. There's also a
watch discarded on the coffee table and it looks very
similar to the four hundred and seventy five thousand dollars
watch that David gifted to Brooklyn. Lastly, there's a snow
globe on the table, and this is apparently a nod
(34:57):
to Victoria's snow globe collection, and this was highlighted during
her Netflix series. So bizarrely, Victoria is a keen collector
of snow globes. I didn't have her down as a collector.
He also seemed to take a bit of a potshot
at himself. He probably wanted to look like he was
in on the joke because there was a camera on
the table, which I think is supposed to be seen
(35:18):
as him having a gibe over his very short limb
photography career. Now, the follow up DoorDash video came out
yesterday and the gimmick is that door Dash are dropping
Brooklyn's supposed tickets in secret locations for DoorDash shoppers to find.
So DoorDash must be absolutely stoked by the reaction to
this video. It's not great pr for Brooklyn, but it's
(35:39):
great pr for door Dash, and they've been doing some
incredible ads lately which are getting a lot of traction.
We spoke about their Mother's Day campaign that they did
with Indy Clinton and beck Judd and a couple of
other influences. I don't understand why Brooklyn Beckham was involved
in this though, Like I see the upside for door Dash,
but all that's done is ruin the reputation that he
was trying to build for himself. He had a bit
(35:59):
of upper hand. He was saying, you know, my family
have used me for pr and this is unfair. And
then he's a complete hypocrite and does the same thing
and tries to exploit his family feud. It's embarrassing for
the presser dubbing this Brooklyn's Privacy Tour, and that is
on the back of the south Park episode where they
paid out Harry and Began's worldwide privacy tour. And I agree,
(36:19):
it's so embarrassing. He's literally gaining off this feud and
a lot of people are saying this is the only
way he's able to stay relevant. I mean, clearly, it's
not a money thing because he's married a billionaire's daughter
that money isn't an issue for him. Really, I think
it is a money thing because he's been cut off
from his parents. He probably feels a bit pathetic going
to the in laws for some cash. He needn't start
(36:41):
making his own money. Clearly, no one's buying his What
does he sell, like hot sauce or something like? No
one wants it. Everyone's pissed off. Everyone is very defensive
over the Beckhams. I need to put it out there.
I am team Beckham, and I think that a lot
of people have probably moved to Team Beckham after this. Well,
the Beckhams have been cleverly using their PR team to
send out messages to the press, and according to an insider,
(37:04):
the Beckhams are saying that the ad was in poor
taste and it was an attempt for Brooklyn to remain relevant.
Imagine saying that about your own kid, though I know
you know what I mean. Like, the source went on
to say, to do an advert based on estrangement from
family as if it's a joke when his family is
devastated and his sister and grandparents are inconsolable is shocking,
(37:24):
especially from someone who claims he wants peace and privacy.
I mean, this past week has not been a good
look for Brooklyn because there have been some pat photos
that appeared of his sister Harper trying to visit him,
and she's seen standing at the door ringing the doorbell,
no one answers. She then is seen dropping a letter
and apparently Brooklyn's team claimed that he was in New York,
(37:48):
he wasn't there at the time, Nikola wasn't home, and
that they think that this was a publicity stunt from
the Beckhams. Well, Amy, you mentioned that there were a
number of unopened envelopes on the table, and people are wondering,
is this a little bit of a nod towards the
envelope that Harper left on his doors. Well, this only
happened this week. I mean that ad would have been
filmed probably weeks and weeks ago to be ready to
(38:10):
be rolled out for the World Cup.

So they just.

DoorDash was just lucky. Now moving on, and another video
that's been doing the rounds of our group chat is
a video from Venezuela Fury's new husband, Noah Price, and
it's him attempting to pronounce Molly May and Tommy Fury's
new baby name. Let's have a listen to what he said.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Tommy's go boy a boy? Now, this was one of
Molly's biggest fears, people pronouncing her new baby Midas's name wrong. Well,
she said that some of her family have been having trouble.
I'm guessing it's the Fury clan. It's a bit embarrassing
that Noah didn't even know whether it was a boy
(38:55):
or a girl. I mean it shows it they're not
very close. Also has he not been watching the news.
This name and gender has been everywhere. It's international news,
and Molly, she made a big effort to be part
of Noah and Venezuela's big day. You think the least
he could do is pay attention to the news and
work out the baby's name. I mean, it's pretty embarrassing.
You think he would be used to unique names marrying
(39:16):
into the Fury family. I mean, you know Tyson Fury's kids,
You've got Venezuela, You've got now they're all called prince,
remember all five of them Prince, but they've all got
their other nicknames. I actually can't get enough of these two.
There was another video that kept popping up for me
this week and it's gone absolutely viral. It's of Noah
reviewing Venezuela's cooking. So they did this live stream and

everyone's been chopping up bits and pieces for TikTok, and
in it, Venezuela serves him bangers and mash with some
Yorkshire puddings. And someone asked in the live chat or
how's married life? And he responds free cooking with a
smirk on his face. Let's have a listen to the

was the worst mash potato he's ever had. That surprises
me because I know Venezuela is only sixteen, but she's
been put to work in the Fury household since I
think she dropped out of school when she was twelve
to help her mum make meals and look after the kids.

I actually thought that the food looked delicious. I've been
craving mashed potato ever since watching it. I'm guessing it's
just because he's a flog like it probably tasted fine. Yeah. Well,
the worst bit of this video is when she offered
him another Yorkshire pudding and he replied, no, brav. I
know he's nineteen, but if my husband called me brav,
that would be the last straw. Here's an idea, mate,

maybe make your own dinner if it's not good enough. Now,
despite it being week since Off Campus dropped, the show
is still doing the rounds in our group chat, but
our husbands will be pleased to hear this segment is
not about Belmont Camille this time. It's about his co
star Ella Bright, who plays Hannah Wells. So recently, Ella
was interviewed on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast

where she admitted to fangirling over Josh Houston, who plays
Hannah's longtime crush Justin Cole. When we initially spoke about
Off Campus, we talked about this Ossie guy who was
on it, and I hadn't watched the show yet, and
I think I joke that I'm sure he's going to
be dating one of the Kadashian or Jenna's sisters very soon,
because that seems to be what happens with the up
(41:45):
and coming actors. Well, the Ossie ones in particularly, didn't
realize that he used to date Carti and Milan. Yes,
I told you after Like as soon as I turned
you know, you guys begged me to watch Off Campus,
I flicked it on. I'm like, that's Cartion Molan's ex.
I was like, I don't think that realize. Yeah, I
mean I hadn't seen it, like I would have twigged
straight away. I know she spoke about him. Being an

actor when they were dating, but I didn't realize he
was actually on Heartbreak High, which is where Ella became
a fan of his. Yeah. So she said that when
she was auditioning for off campus, they had to do
all of these chemistry reads and she discovered that she
was doing one with Josh and that they were actually
staying in the same hotel. So she wrung up her
friends and were like, oh my god, he's here. And

then when she was walking out to get her taxi,
she saw him coming. Now let's have a listen to

I booked the uber. I'm waiting outside the hotel. I
see Dusty from Heartbreak Ye walk up. I literally went
right across the street. Oh my god, I'm so scared,
and that he remembers me running away from him, which
is hilarious. But I because I didn't think I got
the part at all, Like I there was no part
of me that was like I've got this in the
bag at all. I remember just saying to Josh, I
was like, you know what, I'm not gonna see him again,

so I'm just gonna tell him. I was like, I
love you, and Hobrikye, I'm a big fan, like, I
just want you to know that. I went home being like,
I'm satisfied. I told everyone that I loved everybody.

And then I get the email, Oh, we're we got
the part and he's in it and now he's one
of my best friends.

So very fun. I remember being shocked finding out that
Ella was only nineteen eighteen when she filmed the show.
Hearing this, I'm like, oh, okay, no, she does sound
like she is a teenager. I actually felt the chemistry
between them. It's so funny that she was playing someone
having a crush on the gar and she actually did
have a crush on him. This story actually reminds me
a bit of when we worked with Rob Mills on

Young Talent Time. So we got cast as runners or
something and show runners. Yeah, and Millsy was hosting the show,
and we absolutely loved Mealsy growing up like we were
the biggest fangirls. My pilaner was just covered in photos
of him. But we went with the option of pretending
like we didn't know who he was, Like we were
just sitting there like, I don't know what we felt
(43:50):
was going on. But despite the fact that we met him,
several times at meet and greets. I mean, and we
are identical trip. It was not saying that we're so memorable,
but like, you know, it's pretty funny because phials actually
popped up on my TikTok the other day. It was
his first TikTok video and he did a bit of
an introduction of who he is, and the first thing
he said was I potentially was your first crush. And
(44:11):
I was like, oh my god. I read the comments.
I'm like so many people like me felt seen. I
was like, how did he know. He's also been doing
a media tour at the moment with his fiance Georgie Tunney.
I really want to sit down and actually listen to
the full podcast. I've been seeing the snippets on No
Filter with Kate Langbrook and the interview looks so good.
I want to know was she a fan of his

growing up, because she would have been around She's a
little bit younger than Millsy. She probably I think she's
around our age, so she would have been like fourteen
smack bang, the age where you're going to have a
crush on someone like Rob Mills. Well, I love her
and I feel like we would actually just putting it
out there, get on really well. She's got her own
Taylor Swift podcast. She's a journalist and Millsy was talking
about how he slid into her DMS and he kept

having to follow her up and he thought she had
this like really cool game and she was like, you know,
playing games with him, and she's like, no, I didn't
have any game. And then he's like, oh, my little
nerd or something, and I was like, oh, it's kind
of refreshing when your high school crush dates someone similar
to you.

I feel like Georgie Tunney was living out our dreams though,
Like this seems like fan fiction that Rob Mills years
later would spot you on television as a reporter and
DM you like, she is living the absolute dream. I
remember soph interviewed him when he was in Adelaide for
one of his musicals, and I remember I was meant

to go do the interview with Mealsy and then they're like, actually,
we're just gonna switch cruise and Sophie's going to go
to that and you're going to go to something's like
some fucking awful, boring, fucking story. And then I think
he'd left tickets for her on the door and I
was like, this is when he was singing. I was like,
message him, message him, thank you. Did she message him?

That was a wasted She didn't even go either to
the concept. Fucking idiot. I have to share. I was
working at Channel ten in the newsroom when they were
doing an interview with Zach Efron and they took the

tell our voices apart. There have been periods where Amy,

you've had to go settle your son who woke up
from his nap, and Sophie has obviously disappeared at this
point because her son woke up. So I have been
the constant throughout this episode. But Amy and Sophie you
have jumped in back and forth for anyone who's like,
hang on, why does someone keep disappearing? You're just killing
the breaking down that fourth wall. Yeah, well, I think
