Veraruk Salt has announced the gender of her twin babies
in an unorthodox way. In a TikTok video that has
clocked up over two million views, the controversial influencer revealed
the gender of her unborn babies using slurpees.

I really like this idea because it's not only inexpensive,
but it's also very effective. So Veruka ended up going
down to seven to eleven and purchased the two slurpees there.
This was not a brand deal by the way she
purchased them herself. That's a missed opportunity there. I think
this would have been a great brand deal. It just
seems very on brand for her. I couldn't really imagine

her doing the very esthetic cake cutting or organizing the balloon.
I liked it as different. Now, for those who haven't
seen the video, both slurpees were blue, which means she's
having two baby boys. She also confirmed they are fraternal twins,
so they won't be identical. They actually formed from two
separate eggs. The news came as a bit of a
shock to Varuka. Let's take a listen to what she said.

I'll be honest, I'm a little bit in denial about
it because I was fully convinced that it was a
boy and a girl, Like I was like thirty, and
I was like, I don't even need a gender reveal
because I know I know this boy and girl.

No, there's two fucking big fat boys in there.

So I really felt for Veruka because it turns out
she's only got one boy's name that she actually likes.
So she joked that the other boy may get a
girl's name and she'll just leave it at that. I
mean it would be very difficult to come up with
a third boy's name. I mean it would be very
difficult for her because this is a second and third
boy's name that she's having to come up with. Our
mum and dad had this issue but on drugs because

they didn't find out our genders until we were born,
so they literally had to come to the hospital with
six names, well really twelve names because that included middle
names as well.

Sophie Keasha and Essendon footballer Mattie Prespakis are officially engaged
after almost two years together. The midfielder surprised the influencer
during a family photo shoot. Now, so I think we
all saw this coming. Yeah, I mean early on in
their relationship, Sophie dropped hints that this relationship was endgame.

She called Maddie the one during an interview, and she
also recently changed her daughter Esmey's name to include Mattie's
last name. Now, the couple made the announcement on Instagram,
with Maddie writing yes from day one with a red
love heart emoji. She then posted a series of professionally
taken photos showing her down on one knee as Sophie

gasped in surprise and then fell to the floor. Now,
for those who haven't seen the photos, it looks like
the photographer was super close, almost as if these photos
were staged, Like Sophie knew it was coming. Yeah. We
actually shared the photos on her Instagram and a lot
of our listeners were confused by the setup. One person wrote,
fuck me, the photographer must have been camouflaged to have

captured such a natural moment and not have been noticed.
Another said photo shoots like this are so staged. Laugh
out loud, while someone else said she knew, which were
the exact thoughts I had. When I saw I was like,
how the hell is this photo so close up? Yet
the reactions are so over the top in surprise. Yeah,
because sometimes you'll see the engagement photos and you can

tell that the photographer has used a really long lens.
The photos look really like the person looks really genuinely
shocked in them. They're not so posed. They're almost like
pat photos. Well, I want to say, genuine pat photos,
not the stage where this is one that would end
up on like some stock photography website of engaged or proposal.

I mean, they were beautiful photos, but yeah, I was like, oh,
how so if you're not seeing the photographer that's standing
right in front of it. But she cleared up the confusion,
explaining that the engagement took place during a family photos
so she shared a behind the scenes video of the
shoot and wrote, she beat me at my own game.
I had organized a family photo shoot as I wanted

beautiful family photos hanging in our new home once Ezsie
was now a bit older. I had organized everything from
the outfits to my hair makeup, the reference shots for
what I wanted to the photographer and videographer everything, or
so I thought. My Madzie girl had planned the best
part yet and the kids were all in on it
for months. I've been in love with you for so

long now, and I can't wait to be your wife.
Can I ask why did she have a videographer at
a family photo shoot if they wanted portraits on the wall?

I don't know.

It just seems a little bit suss to me. It's
almost like Sophie put the crumbs down and said, Maddie
run with this. Well, Maddie famously is a decade younger
than Sophie, so yeah, maybe there was a bit of
coaching going on. I actually I noticed because Maddie tagged
the videographer and photographer in the photos, and the videographer
is actually one of her football teammates. So maybe it

was actually Maddie who was like, she heard the family
photoshit was happening. She's like, hey, why don't we capture
video as well, saw this as the perfect opportunity to
get a video of her actually proposing. Were Sophie's fingernails done?
That is always an education of if someone knows they're
getting proposed to, they were yeah, but to be fair,
if you're having a family photo shoot done, you'd probably
make sure your nails are up to scratch too. So

now we have to talk about the ring. It was
a very large rectangular solitaire diamond with diamonds around the band.
It was made by Top Image Jewelry, who recently won
Jeweler of the Year at the ABIA Wedding Awards, and
following Sophie and Maddie's announcement, the jeweler reposted some of
the photos and wrote, congratulations to these beautiful ladies on

their recent engagement. It was an absolute honor creating your
dream ring. We wish you to eternal love and happiness.
Now underneath this photo, Sophie wrote, this little sneaky one
nailed it. It's donning thank you. A lot of the
time when influencers get engaged, I always go and look
at the jeweler's website because I hope that maybe they've

got a picture of the ring up or it's a
similar ring so you can sort of gauge the price
of it. But what I found interesting when I looked
at this jeweler's page is they have a client's page
where they list all of the people in the public
eye whose engagement rings that they've made, and they were
very AFL centric. So they've made Toby and Chloe Pink's

engagement ring. They made one for Matthew Cruiser and also
Gary Ablett Junior. So I'm wondering, is this some sort
of partnership. Do they seek out sports stars? Did Maddie
seek this out? Because the jeweler was tagged in the post,
which is usually a giveaway that there's some sort of
partnership in place. I doubt the jeweler would give them

the ring for free. Potentially they could have got some
sort of discount for giving them a bit of a plug.
But I mean it was a massive ring. I mean,
I'm not good at predicting carrots, but it's enormous.

I mean, is it a lab diamond?

Though we've spoken about how we're seeing this trend of
people rocking really big rocks, nobody intended, and I mean,
Maddie knows that her ring is going to be compared
to the ring that Sophie was proposed to by Maddie Garrick,
So you'd want it to be big, and I mean,
there's nothing wrong with lab diamonds. Also, I mean, they
are more ethical than your natural diamonds as well. Sophie

hasn't mentioned before that Maddie's a really good savor, But
if that ring is a real diamond, that would literally
be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. I just want
to know how the ring compares to the one that
Maddie Garrick got Sophie Cacius. So they were engaged back
in twenty twenty two. It was actually Sophie the pop
the question to Maddie, though, and the ring that she

gave Maddie was highly publicized. It was this gorgeous ring
and it had three stones to represent Sophie and her
two children. But I never really saw what Sophie's ring
looked like that Maddie ended up getting her well, I
got the vibe that after the engagement, Sophie then went
and picked her own ring from Maddie. I don't know
so much if it was a surprise Maddie the first. Controversially,

Sophie actually listed Maddie's engagement ring for sale on Instagram.
So she announced on her Instagram story, after doing a
clean out and finding this in my draw, I'll now
be selling genuine interest only as it's exy, although we'll
be selling heavily discounted. And I remember we discussed at
the time whether it was a bit taboo to buy
an engagement ring when the couple have broken up, Like

do you really want that bad juju on your nation ring?
That ring is cursed? You don't want to know that,
And like I mean, I suppose the thing is you
don't really discuss with your partner if they're buying a
secondhand engagement ring. If if my partner had I'd prefer
not to note that detail.

That being said, this ring was stunning, Like if you've
got it for a good enough price, I don't think
anyone would be happy with an engagement ring that was
a product of a breakup. Like I think you can
only regift a ring like that if it's for another occasion.

It can't be for a proposal.

Unless it's Princess Diana's ring. That it's over, kay and
will that is the exception. Actually I heard jameless we're
discussing the engagement ring which Harry Styles picked out for
Zoe Kravitz, and they put a photo of this ring
side by side with the one Channing Tatum also proposed with,
and they said you could almost not pick any differences
between the ring. The only slight difference was Harry's was

a bit bigger. Would you have to if you're proposing
to someone who's already been engaged, you have to make
sure it's a bigger diamond. I mean, it's obvious that
Zoey likes that style of ring, and she has spoken
to both Channing and Harry about it. It's interesting, though,
because think about it. If you got engaged multiple times,
it's not like your taste in jewelry suddenly changes. I

think you'd be happy that the diamond just got bigger,

India Clinton's husband Ben Azar, is embroiled in a legal
battle with his employer. Court documents reveal Ben is reportedly
suing global real estate firm Saviles over alleged unfair dismissal, Kate,
can you tell us more well? Ben has worked at
Savile's for over twenty two years, and he was working
as the company's national head of cross border investment when

he was dismissed.

In court documents.

Obtained by The Daily Telegraph, the father of three allegers
that the real estate agency breached workplace protections in dismissing him.
It's believed that Ben is arguing unfair dismissal under general
protections provisions. So this isn't your standard unfair dismissal case.
What this means is Ben is alleging he was dismissed
for a reason that the law actually prohibits, which is
(11:46):
known as adverse action. Neither Ben or Savills have publicly
commented on the matter. Now, Amy, you sued your employer,
Channel seven for the same thing, so you know a
lot about it. Yeah, I mean, I obviously can't go
into the Channel seven case for numerous reasons, but I
do know a lot about adverse action. And to put
it simply, it's for example, if you make a complaint

against someone at your work and suddenly you find yourself fired,
that is a case of adverse action. And that's why
I'm really interested to see how this case plays out
in court. Because while the exact details of Ben's claims
are yet to be examined in court. This revelation comes
off the back of years of alleged tension between Ben
and his employer. Over the last couple of years, Indy
(12:29):
Clinton has been pretty vocal about the fact that her
husband has been allegedly having issues at work because of
her public profile. She even revealed that she blocked some
of Ben's colleagues on social media after he copped flack
at work after appearing on her podcast. When we interviewed
her back in twenty twenty four for our Christmas special,
she went in depth about this situation. Let's take a listen.

The thing with Ben is he works in real estate
in a very male dominated industry where having their or
someone significant other on social media and putting their life
out there is so foreign to these fucking old men.
And they just want to talk and talk and talk.
And I say fucking old men because I'm so annoyed.
He's like had to. I mean, you want to supportive husband.
(13:16):
I've been doing this for eleven years. He knew what
he was getting himself into. But like the judgment that
goes on, it's like workplace bullying, Like if he only
found out just a few days ago, like this huge
cotton On campaign we did as a family for Christmas.
Just got cent around a WhatsApp group and like this
guy slagging him, and I'm just like, why do you
(13:37):
do this? I'm just you know, he's damned if you do,
and damned if you don't. He's supporting his wife and
his family. He's doing this on a side we're making
a living, and you still want to drag him.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
I remember doing this interview and being quite taken aback
when Indy said all of this, because I've never really
thought about what it would be like as the husband
and a wife of an influencer when you're having to
go into a traditional nine to five and people are
seeing your life play out all over social media. I mean,
I would have assumed that a workplace would congratulate someone
(14:12):
for being featured in like a cotton On campaign, like, oh,
that's really cool. I just think it's a case of
a lot of the people Ben works with, the older
men who don't understand social media, so they would have
been paying the shit out of him. They wouldn't understand
how lucrative this actually is. On a smaller scale, my
husband also works in a corporate job and a couple
of times some of his colleagues have mentioned that they
(14:34):
listened to the podcast. I know he always feels a
little bit awkward because he's like, what have you said
about me on there? And I mean, this would be
the next level because Indy shares so much about her life.
I mean, her vlogs are always chaotic. She doesn't hold back,
so it would be really tough for Ben to have
all of that just out there for everyone to see.
It was quite sweet, though, because in that interview, India
was saying how she really wanted to call out Ben's

colleagues publicly to make it stop, because she just didn't
know how else to make it stop. And she said,
otherwise it isn't going to blow over, which I found
interesting foreshadowing considering what's happened. But Ben told her please
do not say anything because it's going to add fuel
to the fire. I'm going to throw it to you, Amy,
because you are the expert in adverse action. So if

Ben was dismissed over backlash that's tied to Indy's public profile,
would that be considered adverse action under the law. Yes,
And that is where this case gets even more interesting.
It is all about proving why he was fired. So
if he can point to a protected reason like being
treated differently because of Indy or exercising his rights at work,

the pressure then flips on the company and they have
to prove that this wasn't actually the reason. So if
there are cracks in the company's story, like a lack
of warnings or a sudden shift after years in the job,
that can be really important. I mean, we're talking about
someone who was with the company for over twenty years,
so you would expect a pretty clear paper track if

there were legitimate issues and reasons to get rid of Ben.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this
all plays out.

This case was filed on the twenty seventh of March,
and around that time Indy confirmed on the Saving Grace
podcast that Ben wasn't working at the moment and was
a stay at home dad. Since then, Ben's been appearing
a lot more in Indy's content. You can tell he's
much more comfortable being in front of the camera now.
He no longer works with his former employer, and on
a recent video with Ben, a follower commenter, did big

Ed lose his job? Big Edit is, of course Ben's nickname,
to which India responded, I can't comment on this yet,
but when I can, you bet I will be. There
is so much I have been sitting on. It's interesting
because late last year Indy hinted that there would be
court action over her botch nos job, so they could

Jules Neil has hit out at the Brisbane Lines over
a social media clip they created of her daughter Piper.
The clip poke fun at the four year old, who
was visibly upset when joining her father Lockie on the
field for his three hundredth game celebrations. So if it
was clear the club's media team were trying to create
a viral moment, it definitely seems to be the case.
I mean, it's not entirely surprising because in the past
(17:21):
three to five years AFL clubs have completely changed their
approach to socials. I mean, you now have dedicated teams
of content producers working for AFL clubs who were really
focused on entertaining followers rather than just communicating updates like
they used her. I mean Before you just get injury
updates and match highlights. But now the clubs are leaning
(17:42):
into really fun behind the scenes content. We see AFL
players pulling pranks on teammates, or they produce day in
the live content, or they're jumping on tiptop trends. It's
something that we haven't actually seen before. I previously worked
as the comms manager for the EDLA Thunderbirds and also
the media and comms manager for Third and that was
nearly eight years ago, and we were definitely tapping into
(18:04):
that type of content at the time.

But I'm really jealous.

To see how big these social media teams have gotten
because when I was doing it, I was having to
balance a social media strategy along with media and comms
and marketing. Whereas, as you said, now they have these
massive teams and they would have big targets to achieve.
I mean, growth would be such a driving factor between
keeping your job at these clubs. I mean, TikTok is
(18:29):
the platform the clubs are going the hardest on at
the moment. With the AFL and its clubs collectively generating
more than eight hundred million views a season, it's absolutely massive.
I mean, this is really trickled down from the NBA.
They were leading the pack in terms of social media
and the way they did things. They've really revolutionized the space.
I mean, it's clear that there is a lot of
(18:50):
pressure on these marketing managers and content producers to get
that viral moments. Clubs are even competing in an AFL
TikTok ladder. The Hawthorn Foot Club is absolutely dominating in
this space, with over one hundred and fifty million views
in a season. It was funny because when I was
working at the thirty six's, the upper management had really
unrealistic expectations about how quickly you could grow the audience,
(19:13):
and when I left, they ended up recruiting this player
from the Philippines who had this cult following, and overnight
the thirty sixers following just grew exponentially, like it was insane.
They would have hit all their targets, but those followers
were only interested in this one player and was every
time they posted an update, it would be littered with
(19:34):
comments about oh, where's this so and so and blah
blah blah, and then he only lasted a season, so
their engagement would have actually been dramatically negatively impacted by
that sudden spike. At the same time, they would have
been able to go to sponsors and say, hey, look
we have X amount of followers sign up with us.
In terms of the Neil video, the Brisbane Lines really
(19:54):
missed the mark with it. It was a very uncomfortable watch.
So they shared this video to their two hundred and
seventy eight thousand Instagram followers, where they seem to make
fun of Piper for getting upset during her dad's three
hundred game celebrations. So in the clip, it showed the
four year old interviewing her dad in the lead up
to the game, so she had a microphone in his
(20:14):
face and Lockie ended up throwing her a question asking
if she was excited to run out onto the field
with him the following day, and she looked really shy.
She shook her head and said no, and Lockie then
gave her a big hug. The video then flashed a
footage of Locke carrying Piper out onto the field as
his team formed a guard of honor. Now anyone who
watched this game live would know that Piper was crying
(20:38):
her eyes out. She had hands covering her face. She
looked so overwhelmed and Lockie was trying to comfort her,
but he ended up having to pass her over to
a staff member. Now, the Brisbane Lions ended up captioning
this video our shy Queen. I'm assuming that the marketing
team were thinking, Oh, this is a fantastic idea, let's
humanize Locke after this whole cheating scandal by wheeling out
(21:01):
his daughter and getting some really cute shots of them together.
But this just completely backfired.

I mean, all that's done is make you think, God,
what's this poor little girl been going through the last
couple of months while her family have been front page
of the newspaper over all these cheating allegations.

I was really surprised that the club would even try
and highlight this moment because, as you said, Kate, it
just seemed to draw even more attention to their high
profile split. I mean, when I saw her getting so
upset on the field, I was thinking, God, how tough
must things be behind closed doors, because it made it
look like she was really upset to be there without
her mum. And then it highlighted the fact that, wow,
(21:38):
if this was a year ago, Jewels would be there
with their other son they'd be celebrating the fact that
it was Lockey's three hundreds game, but you know, the
only person there is the daughter who's visibly upset, and
also handballing her over to the staff member wasn't a
great look either. Yeah, you hit the nail on the head.
So if it just drew so much attention to the
fact that Jewels was not there, she should have been
there as the mother. I mean, how scary would it

be if you're a four year old and you see
your dad on field there's all these people screaming for
the you know, supporting them, and then being handed off
to some staff member. Look, I mean she was crying.
She actually looked pretty happy to be handed over to
the female staff member. She was like, do you want
to come with me? And she's like yes, I mean
the thing is as well. Logistically this would have been
tough because Jewels and the kids moved back to Perth

following this marriage breakdown, so poor Jewels, she would have
had to organize a flight presumably gone over there with
her as well.

It's clear that Jules Neil was not amused by this clip.
She wrote underneath the post, She's not shy she's scared
and it's not funny now. Jules's comments sparked debate amongst fans.
One agreed with her, saying Piper looked absolutely terrified, adding
the poor little darling. When ego takes over, the child suffers.
I hope she's okay. Another said it's literally posted on

social media digital footprint. The poor child doesn't deserve to
be posted again now. One fan disagreed, responding to Jelesla
she won't even remember it lol.

Another Lion's fan sympathized with Locke and Piper and wrote,
baby girl with a love heart. It's a lot so
pleased she was with her dad for such an important milestone.

Following Jules's comment and the subsequent backlash, the clip was
removed from the Brisbane Line social media channels. I think

this was a smart move by the club. I mean
it was really their only option. I think it wouldn't
be a good look to go against the mother's wishes. Well,
a smart move after an incredibly dumb one labeling her
as a shy girl and even putting that clip up
in the first place. I mean they were probably getting
a lot of engagement on the clip, but not the
sort of engagement they were after. Yeah, not all engagement
is good engagement. I wonder how it works with approval

in the instance now that Jewels and Lockie have broken up, Like,
was it enough for Lockie to say, yeah, that's cool
that Piper can be in this clip for the club
or does Jewels have to now sign off? Because that
means you're putting your daughter out amongst a lot of
people and you can't control the commentary on it. If
it's not posted a by you, you can't moderate the comments,
or you can't take the clip down when you want.

The Brisbane Lions have also been under fired this week
for another club scandal. So someone leaked a photo of
a team whiteboard and it was listing all of the
Essendon players strengths and weaknesses. So Brisbane were coming up
against Esendon this week and apparently this is something they
do each week.

They go through all of the players.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
And they'll write down, as I said, one strength and
one weakness. Now, this photo went viral on social media
because Essendon player Justin Pryor his only strength was listed
as his girlfriend Bronte Now Jackson used to play for
the Brisbane Lions, and the club have come out and said, oh,
it was just a bit of fun. It's because everyone
loves his girlfriend. But people are saying this is just

so sexist to even include her in this type of conversation.
Do they list the strengths and weaknesses basically to give
the players ammunition to go after them for certain things
so they can sort of get under their skins and
be like, oh, your missus is hotter than you. Is
that sort of what it's about? All, Well, that's the thing.
Apparently this player was always told that he's batting out
of his league with his girlfriend Bronchie, So I mean

Officially a seven weeks step Hannah Orville has revealed she's
pregnant with her first child. The Aussie influencer and her
NFL player boyfriend announced the news in an Instagram post

that has gone viral. Despite raking in the likes, one
important influence endorsement was missing, which has led to speculation. Kate,
before we get into the drama, I want to know
more about Hannah's boyfriend because she does seem very smitten.

So his name is Patrick Murtagg and they've been together
for nearly two years. So they met in Queensland while
Patrick was playing AFL for the Gold Coast Suns. However,

that team name sound fake? Jacksonville Jaguars. Look, it's sounds

signed to the Jaguars, she posted a photo in his

the feeling of trying on my boyfriend's first jersey, proud

it's nice that she's so proud of him. I mean,
she's made the move over to the US for his career.
It's obviously incredibly important to her that he does well.

because we've seen her heartbreak play out online and now

the other reason is it was something we haven't seen before.
So for those who haven't seen it, Hannah and Patrick

were filmed from behind as they walked hand in hand
onto a golf course, carrying golf clubs on their backs.
They then stopped and Patrick passed Hannah a golf ball
and she passed him back a mini kid's golf set,
which they then held together. Hannah then turned around and
showed off her beautiful baby bump and they kissed.

explained that they had been actively trying to feel pregnant
and sadly experienced a miscarriage during their journey, which she

alone with her dog Bibo when she found out she

negative tests in a row, so she was feeling pretty disheartened,

of this news a little bit sad is that eagle

course Hannah's brother. Yeah, and people have noticed that Chloe

it's just strengthened those breakup rumors and also points in

women have been in each other's lives for ten years.

in an unorthodox way. In a TikTok video that has
clocked up over two million views, the controversial influencer revealed
the gender of her unborn babies using slurpees.

I really like this idea because it's not only inexpensive,
but it's also very effective. So Veruka ended up going
down to seven to eleven and purchased the two slurpees there.
This was not a brand deal by the way she

seems very on brand for her. I couldn't really imagine

I liked it as different. Now, for those who haven't
seen the video, both slurpees were blue, which means she's
having two baby boys. She also confirmed they are fraternal twins,
so they won't be identical. They actually formed from two
separate eggs. The news came as a bit of a

So I really felt for Veruka because it turns out

difficult for her because this is a second and third
boy's name that she's having to come up with. Our
mum and dad had this issue but on drugs because

they didn't find out our genders until we were born,
so they literally had to come to the hospital with
six names, well really twelve names because that included middle
names as well.

after almost two years together. The midfielder surprised the influencer
during a family photo shoot. Now, so I think we
all saw this coming. Yeah, I mean early on in
their relationship, Sophie dropped hints that this relationship was endgame.

She called Maddie the one during an interview, and she
also recently changed her daughter Esmey's name to include Mattie's
last name. Now, the couple made the announcement on Instagram,
with Maddie writing yes from day one with a red
love heart emoji. She then posted a series of professionally
taken photos showing her down on one knee as Sophie

gasped in surprise and then fell to the floor. Now,
for those who haven't seen the photos, it looks like
the photographer was super close, almost as if these photos
were staged, Like Sophie knew it was coming. Yeah. We
actually shared the photos on her Instagram and a lot
of our listeners were confused by the setup. One person wrote,
fuck me, the photographer must have been camouflaged to have

captured such a natural moment and not have been noticed.
Another said photo shoots like this are so staged. Laugh
out loud, while someone else said she knew, which were
the exact thoughts I had. When I saw I was like,
how the hell is this photo so close up? Yet
the reactions are so over the top in surprise. Yeah,
because sometimes you'll see the engagement photos and you can

tell that the photographer has used a really long lens.
The photos look really like the person looks really genuinely
shocked in them. They're not so posed. They're almost like
pat photos. Well, I want to say, genuine pat photos,
not the stage where this is one that would end
up on like some stock photography website of engaged or proposal.

I mean, they were beautiful photos, but yeah, I was like, oh,
how so if you're not seeing the photographer that's standing
right in front of it. But she cleared up the confusion,
explaining that the engagement took place during a family photos
so she shared a behind the scenes video of the
shoot and wrote, she beat me at my own game.
I had organized a family photo shoot as I wanted

beautiful family photos hanging in our new home once Ezsie
was now a bit older. I had organized everything from
the outfits to my hair makeup, the reference shots for
what I wanted to the photographer and videographer everything, or
so I thought. My Madzie girl had planned the best
part yet and the kids were all in on it
for months. I've been in love with you for so

long now, and I can't wait to be your wife.
Can I ask why did she have a videographer at
a family photo shoot if they wanted portraits on the wall?

I don't know.

It just seems a little bit suss to me. It's
almost like Sophie put the crumbs down and said, Maddie
run with this. Well, Maddie famously is a decade younger
than Sophie, so yeah, maybe there was a bit of
coaching going on. I actually I noticed because Maddie tagged
the videographer and photographer in the photos, and the videographer
is actually one of her football teammates. So maybe it

was actually Maddie who was like, she heard the family
photoshit was happening. She's like, hey, why don't we capture
video as well, saw this as the perfect opportunity to
get a video of her actually proposing. Were Sophie's fingernails done?
That is always an education of if someone knows they're
getting proposed to, they were yeah, but to be fair,
if you're having a family photo shoot done, you'd probably
make sure your nails are up to scratch too. So

now we have to talk about the ring. It was
a very large rectangular solitaire diamond with diamonds around the band.
It was made by Top Image Jewelry, who recently won
Jeweler of the Year at the ABIA Wedding Awards, and
following Sophie and Maddie's announcement, the jeweler reposted some of
the photos and wrote, congratulations to these beautiful ladies on

their recent engagement. It was an absolute honor creating your
dream ring. We wish you to eternal love and happiness.
Now underneath this photo, Sophie wrote, this little sneaky one
nailed it. It's donning thank you. A lot of the
time when influencers get engaged, I always go and look
at the jeweler's website because I hope that maybe they've

got a picture of the ring up or it's a
similar ring so you can sort of gauge the price
of it. But what I found interesting when I looked
at this jeweler's page is they have a client's page
where they list all of the people in the public
eye whose engagement rings that they've made, and they were
very AFL centric. So they've made Toby and Chloe Pink's

engagement ring. They made one for Matthew Cruiser and also
Gary Ablett Junior. So I'm wondering, is this some sort
of partnership. Do they seek out sports stars? Did Maddie
seek this out? Because the jeweler was tagged in the post,
which is usually a giveaway that there's some sort of
partnership in place. I doubt the jeweler would give them

the ring for free. Potentially they could have got some
sort of discount for giving them a bit of a plug.
But I mean it was a massive ring. I mean,
I'm not good at predicting carrots, but it's enormous.

I mean, is it a lab diamond?

Though we've spoken about how we're seeing this trend of
people rocking really big rocks, nobody intended, and I mean,
Maddie knows that her ring is going to be compared
to the ring that Sophie was proposed to by Maddie Garrick,
So you'd want it to be big, and I mean,
there's nothing wrong with lab diamonds. Also, I mean, they
are more ethical than your natural diamonds as well. Sophie

hasn't mentioned before that Maddie's a really good savor, But
if that ring is a real diamond, that would literally
be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. I just want
to know how the ring compares to the one that
Maddie Garrick got Sophie Cacius. So they were engaged back
in twenty twenty two. It was actually Sophie the pop
the question to Maddie, though, and the ring that she

gave Maddie was highly publicized. It was this gorgeous ring
and it had three stones to represent Sophie and her
two children. But I never really saw what Sophie's ring
looked like that Maddie ended up getting her well, I
got the vibe that after the engagement, Sophie then went
and picked her own ring from Maddie. I don't know
so much if it was a surprise Maddie the first. Controversially,

Sophie actually listed Maddie's engagement ring for sale on Instagram.
So she announced on her Instagram story, after doing a
clean out and finding this in my draw, I'll now
be selling genuine interest only as it's exy, although we'll
be selling heavily discounted. And I remember we discussed at
the time whether it was a bit taboo to buy
an engagement ring when the couple have broken up, Like

do you really want that bad juju on your nation ring?
That ring is cursed? You don't want to know that,
And like I mean, I suppose the thing is you
don't really discuss with your partner if they're buying a
secondhand engagement ring. If if my partner had I'd prefer
not to note that detail.

That being said, this ring was stunning, Like if you've
got it for a good enough price, I don't think
anyone would be happy with an engagement ring that was
a product of a breakup. Like I think you can
only regift a ring like that if it's for another occasion.

It can't be for a proposal.

Unless it's Princess Diana's ring. That it's over, kay and
will that is the exception. Actually I heard jameless we're
discussing the engagement ring which Harry Styles picked out for
Zoe Kravitz, and they put a photo of this ring
side by side with the one Channing Tatum also proposed with,
and they said you could almost not pick any differences
between the ring. The only slight difference was Harry's was

a bit bigger. Would you have to if you're proposing
to someone who's already been engaged, you have to make
sure it's a bigger diamond. I mean, it's obvious that
Zoey likes that style of ring, and she has spoken
to both Channing and Harry about it. It's interesting, though,
because think about it. If you got engaged multiple times,
it's not like your taste in jewelry suddenly changes. I

think you'd be happy that the diamond just got bigger,

India Clinton's husband Ben Azar, is embroiled in a legal
battle with his employer. Court documents reveal Ben is reportedly
suing global real estate firm Saviles over alleged unfair dismissal, Kate,
can you tell us more well? Ben has worked at
Savile's for over twenty two years, and he was working
as the company's national head of cross border investment when

he was dismissed.

In court documents.

Obtained by The Daily Telegraph, the father of three allegers
that the real estate agency breached workplace protections in dismissing him.
It's believed that Ben is arguing unfair dismissal under general
protections provisions. So this isn't your standard unfair dismissal case.
What this means is Ben is alleging he was dismissed
for a reason that the law actually prohibits, which is
(11:46):
known as adverse action. Neither Ben or Savills have publicly
commented on the matter. Now, Amy, you sued your employer,
Channel seven for the same thing, so you know a
lot about it. Yeah, I mean, I obviously can't go
into the Channel seven case for numerous reasons, but I
do know a lot about adverse action. And to put
it simply, it's for example, if you make a complaint
(12:07):
against someone at your work and suddenly you find yourself fired,
that is a case of adverse action. And that's why
I'm really interested to see how this case plays out
in court. Because while the exact details of Ben's claims
are yet to be examined in court. This revelation comes
off the back of years of alleged tension between Ben
and his employer. Over the last couple of years, Indy
(12:29):
Clinton has been pretty vocal about the fact that her
husband has been allegedly having issues at work because of
her public profile. She even revealed that she blocked some
of Ben's colleagues on social media after he copped flack
at work after appearing on her podcast. When we interviewed
her back in twenty twenty four for our Christmas special,
she went in depth about this situation. Let's take a listen.

The thing with Ben is he works in real estate
in a very male dominated industry where having their or
someone significant other on social media and putting their life
out there is so foreign to these fucking old men.
And they just want to talk and talk and talk.
And I say fucking old men because I'm so annoyed.
He's like had to. I mean, you want to supportive husband.
(13:16):
I've been doing this for eleven years. He knew what
he was getting himself into. But like the judgment that
goes on, it's like workplace bullying, Like if he only
found out just a few days ago, like this huge
cotton On campaign we did as a family for Christmas.
Just got cent around a WhatsApp group and like this
guy slagging him, and I'm just like, why do you
(13:37):
do this? I'm just you know, he's damned if you do,
and damned if you don't. He's supporting his wife and
his family. He's doing this on a side we're making
a living, and you still want to drag him.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
I remember doing this interview and being quite taken aback
when Indy said all of this, because I've never really
thought about what it would be like as the husband
and a wife of an influencer when you're having to
go into a traditional nine to five and people are
seeing your life play out all over social media. I mean,
I would have assumed that a workplace would congratulate someone
(14:12):
for being featured in like a cotton On campaign, like, oh,
that's really cool. I just think it's a case of
a lot of the people Ben works with, the older
men who don't understand social media, so they would have
been paying the shit out of him. They wouldn't understand
how lucrative this actually is. On a smaller scale, my
husband also works in a corporate job and a couple
of times some of his colleagues have mentioned that they
(14:34):
listened to the podcast. I know he always feels a
little bit awkward because he's like, what have you said
about me on there? And I mean, this would be
the next level because Indy shares so much about her life.
I mean, her vlogs are always chaotic. She doesn't hold back,
so it would be really tough for Ben to have
all of that just out there for everyone to see.
It was quite sweet, though, because in that interview, India
was saying how she really wanted to call out Ben's

colleagues publicly to make it stop, because she just didn't
know how else to make it stop. And she said,
otherwise it isn't going to blow over, which I found
interesting foreshadowing considering what's happened. But Ben told her please
do not say anything because it's going to add fuel
to the fire. I'm going to throw it to you, Amy,
because you are the expert in adverse action. So if

Ben was dismissed over backlash that's tied to Indy's public profile,
would that be considered adverse action under the law. Yes,
And that is where this case gets even more interesting.
It is all about proving why he was fired. So
if he can point to a protected reason like being
treated differently because of Indy or exercising his rights at work,

the pressure then flips on the company and they have
to prove that this wasn't actually the reason. So if
there are cracks in the company's story, like a lack
of warnings or a sudden shift after years in the job,
that can be really important. I mean, we're talking about
someone who was with the company for over twenty years,
so you would expect a pretty clear paper track if

there were legitimate issues and reasons to get rid of Ben.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this
all plays out.

This case was filed on the twenty seventh of March,
and around that time Indy confirmed on the Saving Grace

a stay at home dad. Since then, Ben's been appearing

He no longer works with his former employer, and on
a recent video with Ben, a follower commenter, did big

is so much I have been sitting on. It's interesting
because late last year Indy hinted that there would be

a social media clip they created of her daughter Piper.
The clip poke fun at the four year old, who
was visibly upset when joining her father Lockie on the
field for his three hundredth game celebrations. So if it
was clear the club's media team were trying to create
a viral moment, it definitely seems to be the case.
I mean, it's not entirely surprising because in the past
(17:21):
three to five years AFL clubs have completely changed their
approach to socials. I mean, you now have dedicated teams
of content producers working for AFL clubs who were really
focused on entertaining followers rather than just communicating updates like
they used her. I mean Before you just get injury
updates and match highlights. But now the clubs are leaning
(17:42):
into really fun behind the scenes content. We see AFL
players pulling pranks on teammates, or they produce day in
the live content, or they're jumping on tiptop trends. It's
something that we haven't actually seen before. I previously worked
as the comms manager for the EDLA Thunderbirds and also
the media and comms manager for Third and that was
nearly eight years ago, and we were definitely tapping into
(18:04):
that type of content at the time.

But I'm really jealous.

To see how big these social media teams have gotten
because when I was doing it, I was having to
balance a social media strategy along with media and comms
and marketing. Whereas, as you said, now they have these
massive teams and they would have big targets to achieve.
I mean, growth would be such a driving factor between
keeping your job at these clubs. I mean, TikTok is
(18:29):
the platform the clubs are going the hardest on at
the moment. With the AFL and its clubs collectively generating
more than eight hundred million views a season, it's absolutely massive.
I mean, this is really trickled down from the NBA.
They were leading the pack in terms of social media
and the way they did things. They've really revolutionized the space.
I mean, it's clear that there is a lot of
(18:50):
pressure on these marketing managers and content producers to get
that viral moments. Clubs are even competing in an AFL
TikTok ladder. The Hawthorn Foot Club is absolutely dominating in
this space, with over one hundred and fifty million views
in a season. It was funny because when I was
working at the thirty six's, the upper management had really
unrealistic expectations about how quickly you could grow the audience,
(19:13):
and when I left, they ended up recruiting this player
from the Philippines who had this cult following, and overnight
the thirty sixers following just grew exponentially, like it was insane.
They would have hit all their targets, but those followers
were only interested in this one player and was every
time they posted an update, it would be littered with
(19:34):
comments about oh, where's this so and so and blah
blah blah, and then he only lasted a season, so
their engagement would have actually been dramatically negatively impacted by
that sudden spike. At the same time, they would have
been able to go to sponsors and say, hey, look
we have X amount of followers sign up with us.
In terms of the Neil video, the Brisbane Lines really
(19:54):
missed the mark with it. It was a very uncomfortable watch.
So they shared this video to their two hundred and
seventy eight thousand Instagram followers, where they seem to make
fun of Piper for getting upset during her dad's three
hundred game celebrations. So in the clip, it showed the
four year old interviewing her dad in the lead up
to the game, so she had a microphone in his
(20:14):
face and Lockie ended up throwing her a question asking
if she was excited to run out onto the field
with him the following day, and she looked really shy.
She shook her head and said no, and Lockie then
gave her a big hug. The video then flashed a
footage of Locke carrying Piper out onto the field as
his team formed a guard of honor. Now anyone who
watched this game live would know that Piper was crying
(20:38):
her eyes out. She had hands covering her face. She
looked so overwhelmed and Lockie was trying to comfort her,
but he ended up having to pass her over to
a staff member. Now, the Brisbane Lions ended up captioning
this video our shy Queen. I'm assuming that the marketing
team were thinking, Oh, this is a fantastic idea, let's
humanize Locke after this whole cheating scandal by wheeling out
(21:01):
his daughter and getting some really cute shots of them together.
But this just completely backfired.

I mean, all that's done is make you think, God,
what's this poor little girl been going through the last
couple of months while her family have been front page
of the newspaper over all these cheating allegations.
Speaker 4 (21:16):

I was really surprised that the club would even try
and highlight this moment because, as you said, Kate, it
just seemed to draw even more attention to their high
profile split. I mean, when I saw her getting so
upset on the field, I was thinking, God, how tough
must things be behind closed doors, because it made it
look like she was really upset to be there without
her mum. And then it highlighted the fact that, wow,
(21:38):
if this was a year ago, Jewels would be there
with their other son they'd be celebrating the fact that
it was Lockey's three hundreds game, but you know, the
only person there is the daughter who's visibly upset, and
also handballing her over to the staff member wasn't a
great look either. Yeah, you hit the nail on the head.
So if it just drew so much attention to the
fact that Jewels was not there, she should have been
there as the mother. I mean, how scary would it
(21:59):
be if you're a four year old and you see
your dad on field there's all these people screaming for
the you know, supporting them, and then being handed off
to some staff member. Look, I mean she was crying.
She actually looked pretty happy to be handed over to
the female staff member. She was like, do you want
to come with me? And she's like yes, I mean
the thing is as well. Logistically this would have been
tough because Jewels and the kids moved back to Perth
(22:22):
following this marriage breakdown, so poor Jewels, she would have
had to organize a flight presumably gone over there with
her as well.

It's clear that Jules Neil was not amused by this clip.
She wrote underneath the post, She's not shy she's scared
and it's not funny now. Jules's comments sparked debate amongst fans.
One agreed with her, saying Piper looked absolutely terrified, adding
the poor little darling. When ego takes over, the child suffers.
I hope she's okay. Another said it's literally posted on
(22:52):
social media digital footprint. The poor child doesn't deserve to
be posted again now. One fan disagreed, responding to Jelesla
she won't even remember it lol.

Another Lion's fan sympathized with Locke and Piper and wrote,
baby girl with a love heart. It's a lot so
pleased she was with her dad for such an important milestone.
Family is everything. I mean that's an ironic gobit now.
Following Jules's comment and the subsequent backlash, the clip was
removed from the Brisbane Line social media channels. I think
(23:24):
this was a smart move by the club. I mean
it was really their only option. I think it wouldn't
be a good look to go against the mother's wishes. Well,
a smart move after an incredibly dumb one labeling her
as a shy girl and even putting that clip up
in the first place. I mean they were probably getting
a lot of engagement on the clip, but not the
sort of engagement they were after. Yeah, not all engagement
is good engagement. I wonder how it works with approval
(23:47):
in the instance now that Jewels and Lockie have broken up, Like,
was it enough for Lockie to say, yeah, that's cool
that Piper can be in this clip for the club
or does Jewels have to now sign off? Because that
means you're putting your daughter out amongst a lot of
people and you can't control the commentary on it. If
it's not posted a by you, you can't moderate the comments,
or you can't take the clip down when you want.

The Brisbane Lions have also been under fired this week
for another club scandal. So someone leaked a photo of
a team whiteboard and it was listing all of the
Essendon players strengths and weaknesses. So Brisbane were coming up
against Esendon this week and apparently this is something they
do each week.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
They go through all of the players.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
And they'll write down, as I said, one strength and
one weakness. Now, this photo went viral on social media
because Essendon player Justin Pryor his only strength was listed
as his girlfriend Bronte Now Jackson used to play for
the Brisbane Lions, and the club have come out and said, oh,
it was just a bit of fun. It's because everyone
loves his girlfriend. But people are saying this is just
(24:48):
so sexist to even include her in this type of conversation.
Do they list the strengths and weaknesses basically to give
the players ammunition to go after them for certain things
so they can sort of get under their skins and
be like, oh, your missus is hotter than you. Is
that sort of what it's about? All, Well, that's the thing.
Apparently this player was always told that he's batting out
of his league with his girlfriend Bronchie, So I mean
(25:11):
that could be one of the reasons. I mean there
were there were other things like oh he's weak as
he's he's really low on self esteem at the moment,
so it's pretty awful. So I think was esteem once
worse than the girlfriend. I feel like the girlfriend's just
a bit of bandit. Well, the reason people are going
so nuts about this on social media is because the
other week the AFL put up this clip of all
these different players and they were asking them how often
(25:33):
they change their bed sheets, and they're all like, oh,
my missus does it once a week. Oh yeah, the
wife does that, and everyone's like, how fucking sexist is this?
Officially a seven weeks step Hannah Orville has revealed she's
pregnant with her first child. The Aussie influencer and her
NFL player boyfriend announced the news in an Instagram post
(25:55):
that has gone viral. Despite raking in the likes, one
important influence endorsement was missing, which has led to speculation. Kate,
before we get into the drama, I want to know
more about Hannah's boyfriend because she does seem very smitten.

Oh, she is head over heels for this guy.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
So his name is Patrick Murtagg and they've been together
for nearly two years. So they met in Queensland while
Patrick was playing AFL for the Gold Coast Suns. However,
they made them move to the US when he was
signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars at the end of twenty
twenty four through the NFL's International Pathway Program. Why does
that team name sound fake? Jacksonville Jaguars. Look, it's sounds

like it's like it sounds like it's some kind of
Disney movie, like the team from a Disney movie. Yeah,
I don't think it's one of the top tier teams,
Like I've never heard.

Definitely not the Chiefs.

Well, he didn't actually last long at the Jaguars because
his contract was waived in August twenty twenty five after
he got injured. He's recently signed to the Denver Broncos
practice squad, which again sounds like a rugby league team
to me. And what I love is Hannah is very
loud and proud about Patrick. So when he was first
signed to the Jaguars, she posted a photo in his
football jersey and captioned it, nothing officially will ever beat
(27:08):
the feeling of trying on my boyfriend's first jersey, proud
as punch for real, never taking it off. I think
it's nice that she's so proud of him. I mean,
she's made the move over to the US for his career.
It's obviously incredibly important to her that he does well.
She's clearly got a type though, because Patrick isn't the
first athlete she's dated. So in twenty twenty one, she
made headlines when she called out her ex Melbourne footballer

Cameron Zaha, so she announced her breakup to her followers
writing for all the girls messaging me overnight with photos, etc.
Myself and Cam split up just a couple of days ago.
Thanks for all your support and letting me know just
in case, et cetera. It's nice to see that he's
moved on so nice and quick.

Well, it may surprise listeners to learn that originally we

the AFL. So you know, full circle moment here. How
are we not mentioning the fact that the Crows won
by a point in the showdown over the weekend.

So I think the reason that this pregnancy announcement went
so viral, because it's almost hit a million views, is
because we've seen her heartbreak play out online and now
she's with this nice guy who treats her well. They're
having a baby together. She looks really happy. I think
the other reason is it was something we haven't seen before.
So for those who haven't seen it, Hannah and Patrick
(28:31):
were filmed from behind as they walked hand in hand
onto a golf course, carrying golf clubs on their backs.
They then stopped and Patrick passed Hannah a golf ball
and she passed him back a mini kid's golf set,
which they then held together. Hannah then turned around and
showed off her beautiful baby bump and they kissed.

It actually ended up confusing quite a lot of people
because people were like, hang on, I thought he played NFL.

Is he actually a golf player?

I mean, obviously he's a sporty guy, but NFL would
have made a bit more sense. Hannah and Patrick ended
up captioning the real the best news in the world.
Were so excited to share our little blessing. Now. The
couple ared you in November and they found out the
gender but are yet to reveal it publicly, and Hannah
explained that they had been actively trying to feel pregnant
and sadly experienced a miscarriage during their journey, which she

said she would really like to talk about in the future.
It was pretty cute because Hannah shared that she was
alone with her dog Bibo when she found out she
was pregnant, so she explained that she had done two
negative tests in a row, so she was feeling pretty disheartened,
but there was one test left in the box, so
she did it anyway, and to her absolute surprise, that
test was positive. Similar to Arukasault, She's confirmed that they

will be having the baby in Australia, so she will
be heading home soon. I think what makes the timing
of this news a little bit sad is that eagle
eyed followers have noticed that Hannah has unfollowed her sister
in law, Chloe Zepp. It comes a bit rumors that
Chloe has broken up with Mitch Orvil, who is of
course Hannah's brother. Yeah, and people have noticed that Chloe
(30:00):
we hasn't liked the post or commented on it, so
it's just strengthened those breakup rumors and also points in
the direction that this is getting nasty. I mean, these
women have been in each other's lives for ten years.
You would think if things were amicable, she would have
just liked the post and not unfollowed her.

I mean, particularly when they have two young kids. Obviously
their aunties and uncles are going to be in their
lives forever. It just makes it seem like she's done
with the Orvils completely and something huge has gone on
behind the scenes. I mean, I don't necessarily think that
if I separated from my husband that i'd go and
unfollow all of his family. You're still going to be
in each other's lives when you have a child. Well
(30:37):
