Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
Kate Trba, I'm Sophie Talber, and I'm Amy Torber. And
coming up on today's show as she binds shuts down
her brand in New Zealand, Justin mckehn is facing bankruptcy
ahead of the new court case. Sammy Guggenheimer reveals she

(00:24):
was sued last year. Molly May responds to the Venezuela
wedding backlash and the deep fake scandal plaguing Louis Tomlinson
and Sarah McDermott. But first, the Internet has a new
obsession dot cakes. These have been popping up all over
my fore page. I gotta admit I had no idea
what you were talking about when you brought this up

(00:46):
as a topic, and now it's like my phone was
listening into our conversation, which I'm sure it was, because
they have infiltrated my feed and I am desperate to
taste one of them. I'm a sucker for hundreds and thousands.
I reckon these haven't been popping up for u K
because people have been recreating their own dot caa at
home and they're using packet cakes to make them, and
you hate a packet cake. You've been known to absolutely

(01:06):
slam anyone who uses them. Oh, I think that's a
bit harsh. I literally just said I prefer the taste
of home cook cakes. I don't care if people. I
just said, you can tell the difference, Okay, which you can.
And just in case any listeners have been living under
a rock like cake, it's quite self explanatory. But the
dot cakes are this single serve sponge cake that are
dipped in hundreds and thousands, and they first started popping

(01:27):
up on TikTok after influencers spotted them at a New
York bakery. So everyone has been doing these ASMR taste tests.
All of the influencers do the same thing. They scrape
their spoon against the hundreds and thousands, which actually is
quite unappealing to me because it makes it seem like
the cake has been in the fridge for a long time.
I was wondering who came up with the concept of

(01:48):
the dot cake, because I've only been seeing people making
their own. I didn't know that it was from this
famous bakery. Someone who's not happy about it is Taylor Demir.
She thinks that people have gone crazy. Let's have a
listen to what she said.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
No offense to the people doing it, but dot cakes, guys,
it's a fucking cupcake. It is literally a cupcake with sprinkles.
My daughter gets the once a week at a cafe, like,
what are you doing? Why are you falling for this?
Why are you all racing off to film you a little?

(02:22):
It's a cupcake.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
When I first saw these popping up, I one hundred
percent agreed with Taylor. I was like, this is just
a cupcake with sprinkles on it. But since they've continued
to pop up in my feed, I've found myself continually
thinking about them and craving them, to the point where
I've asked Dale when he comes home from work, I
need you to pick up hundreds and thousands. I've heard though,
that hundreds and thousands are really hard to get now,

(02:45):
because it's sort of like when everyone was making those
cottage cheese and sweet potato bowls. All of the shelves
are bear these trends us really be passing me by
because I don't even know what you're talking about. For
the sweet really? Is that why I can't get any
cottage cheese. I thought it was just the bodybuilders eating it.
I mean, all these trends seemed to be missing me.
If you're looking to make some probably very good money
and wanted to help me out, this video is for you.

(03:09):
Sam Guggenheimer has revealed she was sued last year. The
twenty four year old made the confession during an episode
of her podcast Hotter Than Yesterday. Yeah, and she dropped
the juicy details while interviewing comedian Fergus Neil. And there's
an interesting background between these two because it was only
last year that she went viral on his podcast On It,

(03:29):
Off It after teasing a liaison with a famous rapper.
So during that interview, she revealed that she had been
speaking on FaceTime to someone quote very famous, and she
admitted that they said that they would pay a lot
of money to subscribe to her OnlyFans account if she
had one. Now, during that interview, Fergus and his co
hosts were really pushing Sam to spill the details on

(03:52):
who it was, and she said, oh, okay, I'll tell
you if you beep it out. Now. They did censor
out the name, but the conversation that followed made it
really obvious to who it was, and many people started
tagging the rapper who was Central Sea? I feel positively ancient.
I have no idea who Central Sea is. I have

(04:12):
no idea, but apparently he is very famous and a
lot of people clocked it straight away. Know. In this
recent episode, Sam and Fergus were reflecting on that past
episode and Fergus said to Sam, oh, you seem a
lot happier and less stressed than when we spoke last year,
and then Sam replied, this a chill Now, I'm just like,
what will be will be? I'm an easier person to

(04:32):
be around. Do you think that was going to London?
I think it was being sued. I'll do it, Yeah,
that will do it. Yeah, So getting sued it really
puts into the perspective like gratitude and yeah, I'm grateful
for the ocean, grateful for Yeah, it sounds like she
was going through a hell of a lot last year. Now.

(04:52):
She didn't elaborate further, but the comment comes off the
back of Sam revealing in April that she had been
Islands due to ongoing legal and representation issues dating back
to the middle of last year. She said she'd love
to be honest and tell her audience the full law,
but is unable to as contract negotiations were still going

(05:13):
on behind the scenes. Now. At the time, we speculated
that it seemed like she was referring to issues surrounding
her now defunct podcast that she co hosted with fellow
influencer and former best friend Izzy Armatage. I mean, it
makes a lot of sense because if you're being sued
and going through that legal process and you can't publicly
comment on it, you have to abide by confidentiality agreements. Unfortunately,

(05:34):
this makes me think we're not actually going to hear
what really went on, because if this has been finalized
in court, then all of the parties would have signed
confidentiality agreements. So we're just going to have little breadcrumbs
dropped here and there when these influences jump on a podcast.
As She Binds has quietly shut down her Fragrance brand
hideaway in New Zealand. Operations will cease across the Ditch

(05:57):
in June, with Keiwek customers being urged to stock while
they can. Well, it wasn't actually as She who broke
this news, because she is yet to announce this on
her social channels. Instead, the update was posted on Hideaway's
New Zealand website. It read, after ten years building Hideaway
globally and two years running our New Zealand site, we've
made the decision to shut it down for good. When

(06:19):
the New Zealand site closes on June seventeen, we won't
be shipping to New Zealand from Australia either, so this
sale is genuinely your last chance to get Hideaway. It's
very clear that they are keen to get rid of
this stock because they said they've got sixteen thousand units
left in their Auckland warehouse and after June seventeen it's
being shipped back to Australia. Now they've dropped their perfume

(06:40):
that's normally priced at fifty dollars down to twenty dollars.
I had a look at how much it's selling for
in Australia though, and they must be having issues moving
stock here because they currently have a deal in Australia
five perfumes for one hundred dollars, which is essentially the
same as the New Zealand deal. I mean, it's not
ultra surprising that they're shouting up shop in New Zealand.
It was just last April when they got a lot

(07:02):
of backlash for launching perfume into the country. So Ashy
and Hideaway were slammed for running an offensive marketing campaign
that used Maori slang. I remember we covered this story
in depth. I think I think our headline or title
for the episode was ash Binds thinks you stink? Was
that right? It was, yes, and it did create quite
a lot of downloads based on that titles. It was

(07:23):
a good one. So essentially what happened was they contacted
Kiwi customers to tell them they stink and that they
should buy their perfume. That was basically the crux of
the campaign. The text message read, sure, bro, you stink
like rotor arua A grab some of this mean ass
perfume from the cuz around the corner. Lara reckons it's
choice as so hook yourself up. I mean, I can't

(07:45):
see how it possibly offended anywhere. You came up with
this concept, Like who was in the marketing team that
was like, yeah, this is a great idea. How did
these things gpt? But how do these things actually get
approved by a broader team Like this isn't just an
individual at home, like an individual influencer who's like, yeah,
that's a good idea. I love that they knew that
they'd instantly fucked up, because it only took an hour

(08:05):
and twenty minutes before the brand messaged everyone saying sorry
if our last message came off wrong. Just kei we banter,
We've got proud Kiwis on the team, and meant no
offense all love. I mean an absolute backflip there. And
to put this into perspective of just how tone effort
was for listeners unfamiliar with Rotarua. It's a city in
New Zealand that's a bit of a tourist hot spot

(08:27):
and it's actually situated in this volcanic region and renowned
for its geothermal activity and Maori culture. Now, the town
is known for having a distinctive sulfur smell due to
the area's geothermal activity, and basically it releases hydrogen sulfate gas,
which is known to smell like rottenney. Can you just
imagine if they had put this in chat GPT and

(08:49):
we're like, fuck, what do we say? It's all gone wrong?
And chat GPT would be like, it's not your fault
that you've made this decision. It wasn't actually in poor taste.
It might be that the people just understand the joke.
How about what the joke on? I mean. At the time,
the Mayor of Rotorua even got involved, saying it was
unbelievably unfortunate that Ashy and her team in Australia thought

(09:11):
the message was acceptable. She went on to say, whoever
thought the marketing text sent out to New Zealander's mocking
our slang would go down well as an Australian company
missed the mark big time. I always find it amusing
when people in serious positions like this have to comment
on influence incidents like the fact that the Mandos who
Ashy binds is is quite amusing. It seems like Hydaway

(09:35):
never recovered from this incident in New Zealand. I'm very
interested to see what happens in the next couple of
months with the brand in Australia because it is quite
puzzling that they're doing the same sale in Australia.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Did we wake up to find out that Zora McDermott
had cheated on Louis Tomlinson with Joey Essex.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Louis Tomlinson's girlfriend Zara McDermott has been the target of
online abuse after a deep fake photo began circulating of
her sharing an intimate moment with Joey Essex. The AI
generated clip was created off the back of innocent pop
photos taken at a reality show rap party. Now, So,
if this is such an interesting pairing of UK celebrities,

(10:15):
how does Zara and Joey Essex, of all people know
each other? Well, they recently became friends after appearing alongside
each other on a cooking show called Cooking with the Stars,
and they probably have a bit in common because they
also both appeared on separate seasons of Love Ireland. Joey
was a celebrity contestant because he made a name for
himself ten years ago on the show The Only Way

(10:38):
Is Essex. Interestingly, Zara also appeared on Made in Chelsea.
So I mean as former reality stars, they'd run in
a lot of the same circles. I completely forgot that
Joey Essex was on Love Island. But when you just
said that, all I could see was his white teeth
entering the villa, Like I feel like his teeth entered
the villa before he did. It's clear he's trying to
revive his career because he's been on a lot of

(11:00):
reality shows. He was recently on I'm a Celeb, the
Australian version as well. All I remember about Joey on
The Only Ways Essex is that he'd buy shoes that
were two sizes too small for him because he said
he didn't like the fold in the shoe and so
was like wadle an on in these awful shoes. I
remember I used to call girl salty potatoes as well.

(11:20):
That was like a hot girl as a salty potato,
because who doesn't like salty potatoes. It still blows my
mind that Louie Tomlinson and Zara McDermott are a couple.
I remember when that came out and it was so weird.
I was like, what it was like two worlds collide.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Well, they've been dating since early twenty twenty five, and
a lot of fans were heartbroken when these pat photos
emerged of them holding hands and dining out together. There's
almost this element of snobbery from Louis fans because a
lot of them seemed to think that she's not famous
enough to be dating Louis and because she came from
a reality TV background, it's like she's not good enough

(11:54):
for their man. I mean no disrespect to Zara, but
I suppose when you compare her level of fame to say,
Harry Styles as girlfriends, you've got Taylor Swift and Zay
Mallick was well had a baby with Gigi had did
I suppose on that level of fame, you know? And
I think Zara being the girl next door, being on
a reality show, people look at her and go have

(12:15):
been me? Yes, that should be me. It's that element.
I mean, look, they'd never be happy with whoever he
chose to day. They would like him to be eternally single. Now.
Back in March twenty twenty five, Louis and Zara were
dropping a lot of subtle hints on social media. They
then went Instagram official with a cute photo of them
kissing on Instagram. He also opened up about his relationship

(12:36):
with Zara during his interview on the Diary of a CEO.
He said, I'm a deeply, deeply romantic person, adding for me,
I have to be living it. It has to be literal,
it has to be real to me. So if I
wasn't feeling so good, like right now, I wasn't feeling
so in love. The record probably would have a slightly
different feel to it. So a lot of fans are

(12:57):
heartbroken that these love songs are clearly about Zara McDermott.
It gets a bit tiresome how jealous the one defense are, like,
I understand you love these boys, but they have to
move on, Like don't you want them to actually, you know,
in their thirties have a girl. So can you stop
with the voodoo doll of Zara McDermott. Oh my god,
I liked zoram I keep going to say Zara McDonald.

(13:20):
I'm worried that someone's going to say it the so similar.
Now that we all know the main players, let's jump
into what actually went down. So, Zara and Joey were
attending a rap party to mark the end of Cooking
with the Stars, and they were papped walking out of
the party. To put this into context, it's not like
they were hiding. They were literally standing in front of

(13:40):
a large window. Now in the photos, Joey gave Zara
a peck on the cheek and she briefly wrapped her
arm around him. They then went their separate ways and
Zara jumped into a waiting car, So it was all
very innocent. But if you didn't know the context that
they actually do know each other because they've just appeared
on a reality show together, you'd be like, why are
they hanging out? This is weird? Why she catching up

(14:02):
with Joey essex behind Louis Tomlinson's back. Now, When these
photos were first published, a source told the Son Zara
and Joey grew close during filming and have become good friends,
adding they got on really well. But it's all very innocent.
She's head over heels with Louis and they're totally committed
to each other. Now, these photos have been all over
my foru page and a lot of Louis fans were

(14:24):
reading into this very innocent moment and creating reaction videos
to it, and off the back of these pat photos,
someone went as far as creating a deep fake. So
the deep fake showed the pair actually kissing, and this
image has been doing the rounds on social media. Thousands
of Louis fans who refer to themselves as Louis began

(14:45):
sharing this image in an effort to expose Zara one
fan tag Louis to let him know that his girlfriend
is a notorious cheater, adding they knew this would happen now.
This comment is in reference to how Zara's last relationship ended.
So in twenty nineteen, she cheated on her previous partner,
Sam Thompson with a music label exec which created an

(15:07):
infamous Made in Chelsea scene featuring her crying and begging
for forgiveness. Now, Sam forgave Zara and they stayed together
for five years. I mean that's the thing. If Sam
was happy to forgive Zara, why can't Louise fans forgive
her for this moment? I mean the outpouring because they're jealous.
Well yeah, they keep saying once a cheatah, always a cheating.

(15:28):
It's because they want to manifest it. More they say it,
the more trouble they can cause for this relationship in
the hope that Louis will dump her. No, Sophie, I
think you're wrong. I think they're looking out for him.
Note for the sarcasm, Well, journalist Danny Scott, who writes
for The Metro, she put together an opinion piece slamming
Louise fans. She wrote, Louis Tomlinson's fans have sharpened their

(15:48):
pitchforks in a misogynistic witch hunt against his girlfriend, Zara Micdermott.
I mean, this is a real attempt to destroy their
relationship or at least make things difficult for them. If
you was, you would be slightly annoyed that Louis hasn't
come out and defended her against his fans. I mean,
to be fair to Louis fans, I'm sure the majority
of them who saw that photo didn't know was a

(16:09):
deep fake. I mean, that is the danger of deep fakes. Yeah,
but Kate, you're acting like these fans are teenage girls.
Is most likely women in their thirties who are aware
that deep fakes are inexistence. Yeah. But if the media
have already reported that she's been spotted with Joey Essex
and it looked like there was potentially something between them,
and then off the back of that you then see

(16:31):
this other photo of them actually kissing, it already strengthens
the information that was out there. Yeah. But again, even
if she was cheating on Louis Tomlinson with Joey Essex
and she'd been caught out, there's no excuse for some
of the nasty bulling comments that have been thrown her way.
I don't think you can ever condone that sort of bulling.
I'm not condoning it, but I am not surprised that

(16:51):
that is just how the Internet reacts, particularly to women
that they don't like or are jealous of. Well, this
deep fake has been reported to the police, and when
it comes to deep fake, celebrities can sue the creators
of them in civil court for defamation because in this case,
this image has the potential to have ruined Zara's reputation.
She could have lost brand deals off the back of this,

(17:14):
or potential work opportunities. I mean, this deep fake wasn't
of an explicit nature, but it could have been triggering
for her because she has experienced revenge porn in the past.
In twenty twenty one, she hosted a BBC documentary where
she spoke about her own experience with it, and she
was really applauded for her work in this space. Now,

(17:35):
neither Zara or Louis have commented on the scandal, and
Danny from the BBC was calling on Louis to come
out and defend his girlfriend. She said, well, Louis is
a deeply private person. The responsibility falls on him to
bring his fans into line, so she urged him to
step in and protect Zara from his own fan base.
What do you guys think about that? Is that Louis's responsibility.

(17:57):
I think it's a bit ridiculous that this journalist is
coming out in a essentially blaming Louis for the behavior
of his own fans. I actually think it's a clever
pr move not to say anything about this, because if
he talks on the topic, it's only going to increase
the attention on it. I mean, all of the guys
from one direction are in a really difficult position because
you don't want to bite the hand that feeds. You
don't want to offend all of your fans and kick

(18:19):
off about a girlfriend that you might not be within
the future. But at the same time, I can understand
how it would be incredibly hurtful if you were said girlfriend.
But it's also if he says one thing about Zara,
then it sets the precedence that every other girlfriend, if
he has more in the future, he's then got to
defend them. Well. It's kind of like when Prince Harry
issued a statement defending his wife and a lot of

(18:40):
the people in the UK got their back up because
they're like, hold on, you're ours, Why are you defending
this woman that we hate, Like they were shocked that
Meghan's own husband would be defending her over the UK public.
I personally think Louis not saying something because he doesn't
want to act bothered by it, because I think the
worst thing you can sometimes do in these situations is
to eat even give a rumor like this oxygen. Well,

(19:02):
Louis has actually hit out at fans before, but he
kept the details very vague, so in July twenty twenty five,
he wrote the last few months have made it impossible
to be on here. That was in reference to X
all the conspiracy chats about my relationship my son or
even stretching sometimes to opinions on my mum. It's just
too much and too hurtful for me to see. Thank

(19:24):
you to everyone who always has my back. Okay, well,
with that context, maybe he should come out and say something.
If he has spoken about issues like this before, I've
changed my mind. It's crazy how offended some of the
one defense are. Like this video popped up of Harry
Styles going for a run in Amsterdam, and this female
fan literally chased after him and was like, oh I
have can I please get a photo? And he's still running.

(19:45):
He's like I'm sorry, maybe not and kept running and
everyone's like I can't believe he didn't stop. It's like,
what about the girl chasing him? If he's going for
a run, he clearly doesn't want to be something like
I still people saying that this was literally their nightmare
to be rejected.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yes, for a.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Fat I had secondhand embarrassment for her, like I was like,
just be happy that you saw him in person. Don't
go and embarrass Why share the video, but also read
the situation like someone is not going to stop to
post for a photo if they're running, particularly because we
know Harry Styles has been getting into marathon training. I
mean he was obviously busy. Well, there was another TikTok

(20:20):
where he actually stopped to sign autographs for fans and
Zoe was also in this photo and everyone's like, ah,
she's pretty rude, like she's got her back to the fans,
and someone commented, well, actually they were lining up to
get ice cream and she was just standing in the line.
Like it's funny how they can take these photos so
out of context. She probably knows that the fans don't
want to see her read them. Yeah, maybe they want

(20:40):
an individual photo with Harry now. In an attempt to
put these rumors to bed, Zara attended Louis's recent set,
which was at Radio one's Big Weekend, and she ended
up standing stage side so she could be seen. This
was quite a moment. It was a big fu to
all of the Louis fans. They would have been spewing
seeing her. I've noticed people have been filming Zoe Kravitt

(21:02):
at Harry's concerts and saying, oh, okay, I'm happy she's been
singing every single lyric. It's like this poor woman has
to prove herself. So they analyze every single moment of
them there. Don't they like from what they're wearing to
as you say, if they know the songs, if they're
getting into it enough. It's like I saw one comment, oh,
just another one of the girls that Harry is parading

(21:23):
in front of us at his tour. It's like, oh,
my God, get a fucking life. Justin mckein is set
to front court next week over one hundred charges relating
to his time as head of finance at Rocket Brands.
Charges were first laid against the thirty eight year old
in March, following a fifteen month investigation by police. At
the same time as the criminal proceedings are going ahead,

(21:45):
McKean is also facing bankruptcy after failing to comply with
the court order to pay his former employer more than
five hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Now that core order
is in relation to the civil case that Justin's formed
employer took out against him. In March, Justin was found
to have breached his contract and duties and was ordered

(22:07):
to pay back the money he allegedly stole, plus interest
and legal costs. That has yet to happen, though, and
now he has been pursued in the Federal Circuit court
for the money. Yeah, and this saga has been going
on since October twenty twenty four, and it keeps getting messier.
So it all started when Rocket Brands discovered a number

(22:27):
of allegedly unauthorized transactions. So bank and accounting records revealed
that between the twenty fourth of June twenty twenty four
and the seventh of October twenty twenty four, Justin allegedly
made one hundred and fourteen bank transfers totaling just over
four hundred and eighty thousand dollars to his personal bank account. Now,

(22:47):
Justin is yet to enter a plea for the criminal case,
and we'll be back in court next Friday, while the
bankruptcy hearing is scheduled for the following week. Now, fairly recently,
Justin's ex girlfriend, Tiny Lee's, who is the mother of
his child, came out and shed some light on their
relationship breakdown. It was quite obvious they weren't together because

(23:09):
Justin didn't appear in any of the birth announcement. She's
made a few comments that she was doing all on
her own, which was in contrast to what actually happened
when this news broke because it seemed like she was
standing by him. Now, they were actually together when the
legal dispute came out, and it seemed like she was
standing by him. They controversially announced their pregnancy off the

(23:29):
back of his legal issues. Now, on Mother's Day this year,
Tarani ended up sharing a post that said, I chose
to leave a really awful environment and put myself and
my baby first, and honestly I haven't looked back once
She then went on to say, it's true that it
takes a village to raise a child, and while she's
parenting solo, she's had amazing support. I really feel for Tani.

(23:50):
This is a situation that no new mother would want
to be in. I also feel for Olivia Rodgers too,
his ex wife. She's recently had a baby this month,
and it would be difficult to have your ex partner
constantly being brought up in the media with your name
associated with him. Yeah, a lot of the headlines are
like Olivia Rodgers' ex husband. Like I mean, I understand

(24:11):
that that's how people know him, That's why these news
articles are being written. But at some point the media
need to detach Olivia Rogers from this situation. They broke
up years ago, she's moved on, she's had a baby,
and I think the timing of this court case was
really bad, considering, you know, she's only just had the
baby and they were melding the story together like a

(24:32):
birth announcement. Plus he's, you know, facing bankruptcy.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
I don't know, I should have thought there's probably gonna
be pictures and videos that will come out.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Mollie May has responded to backlash following her outfit choice
at her niece Venezuela Fury's wedding. The influencer, who is
now thirty eight weeks pregnant, was trolled for wearing a
black jumpsuit and having visible roots Kate Now. Molly addressed
the backlash on her YouTube channel, calling the comments humbling.
She said she didn't realize wearing black to a wedding
was considered unacceptable and said she thought it was okay

(25:05):
as long as you didn't wear white. I mean, she
was trying to point out that she actually did go
to a bit of effort with this outfit, because she
ended up getting it tailored, and she said, oh, I
didn't actually realize that there would be so much attention
and focus on what I was wearing. She said, I
was merely acting as Bambie's chaperone that day, and I
thought that the focus would be on the couple getting married,

(25:25):
not me. I still don't really understand what was wrong
with her outfit at all. I mean, it had beautiful
floral detailing, like I've seen heaps of people wear black
dresses to a wedding.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
This snippet of Molly May was going viral on TikTok,
and a lot of people were actually posting the black
dresses they had born to a wedding. I went to
a wedding recently and the theme was black. Like even
the men had to wear black shirts as opposed to
white shirts. It's a very popular wedding trend. I mean,
let's also not forget the fact that she was heavily pregnant.
It is incredibly hard to dress when you were that pregnant.

(25:56):
I mean, it's lucky she didn't rock up in tracking. Yeah,
I mean I would have been tempted to if I
was dirty. Isn't this also such a mum mentality? She said,
there was no part of me the thought about what
I was going to look like. I was concentrating on
my daughter, which I mean, as a mum, you barely
get any time to get ready. And I mean she
did admit that she went to the lengths of getting
a professional updo, but she ended up taking it out

(26:17):
and doing her own slick back. I couldn't believe the
commentary around her hair. It's like she's literally wrangling a toddler, like,
of course you're gonna want to slick your hair back. Yeah,
I mean with minimal help as well. I mean, her
fiance Tommy Feury was not there. He was at a
boxing training camp. Molly also revealed that it was pretty
touch and go as to whether they were actually going
to attend the wedding because she thought she might have

(26:38):
given birth by then. This is, I mean, emphasizing just
how pregnant she actually is. Molly May actually celebrated her
birthday this week, and I couldn't quite wrap my head
around it because she's been in the public eye for
so long and achieved so much. I'm like, she can't
be twenty seven. How is she ten years younger than me?
Also the fact that she's pregnant with her second child, Like,
it just doesn't make sense to me. I can't compets. See.

(26:58):
I was actually surprised she was twenty seven because it
seems like she's been early twenties for so long, and
twenty seven was my scary age. That's when I was like,
oh my god, I'm closer to thirty than I am twenty.
I've got to get my life in order. What's going on.
Her thirtieth is really going to rock me. I think
that's only a couple of years away. Well, on that
though you know I don't like talking about big birthdays, Kate.

(27:19):
But before we go, we have recently dropped a new
episode of the Mum's Group where we discuss some very
outdated opinions from a pediatrician. I mean, I actually still
can't believe that these were written in a book in
the eighties. This is something that all of our moms
would have had to go by. I mean it is
incredibly disturbing, but also you've got to see the humor aside.
I mean I genuinely would have thought it was satire

(27:41):
if I didn't see the physical copy of the book.
I mean, this was a guy who was writing for
the Women's Weekly at the time. So it's scary to
think about the rhetoric that was so normalized then because
it was all about pleasing your husband and feeling sorry
for them during the newborn bubble, not focusing on yourself.
But yes, make sure you do tune into that and
make sure you are following the Mums Group on Spotify

(28:02):
and also Apple Podcasts, because the episode will then drop
automatically into your feed. And if two episodes of Outspoken
and one episode of the Mums Group isn't enough for you,
We also drop a bonus episode of Outspoken every Thursday
for Outspoken Plus subscribers. All the details to sign up
are in our show notes. This podcast was recorded on
the traditional land of the Ghana people of the Adelaide Planes.

(28:23):
