you have rather a shameful story that you would like
to bring to the podcast. I almost wasn't going to
bring it because it is that shameful and that embarrassing,
but I thought, you know, why not put about there
and be vulnerable. So it actually ties into something we

were talking about on the Mum's Group a couple of
weeks ago. So influencer Tully Smyth, she was raging when
she bought a Yogo and it was one of her
pregnancy cravings and she found it. It was a chocchip
Yogo and basically there were no chop chips in the packet.
And since then I have been craving one and I
was at the shop, so I was doing a last

minute shop. My husband was looking after our son at home.
I raced in around five point thirty and I thought,
fuck it, I'm going to have one of those, and
needed in the car because I didn't want to bring
it home to the chaos of my house, and I
thought I also didn't want to be judged having one.
I'm actually surprised that that made you want to get
a Yogo, because if anything that put me off, like
the threat of not having chocolate chips. Well, I actually

got the eminem ones just in case. So I got
in the car, loaded all the groceries in, sat down
painting the picture. It was pitch black outside, opened the Yogo,
poured in the M and ms, and then I'm like,
holy fuck, where's this spoon? So I was that hungry,
and also I didn't actually want to bring home, as
I said, I didn't really want to be judged, So

I literally ended up having to drink it in the car,
and I didn't realize that the woman next to me
was pund staring in at me and got really sad
because it then got to the stage where the yogat
was so thick that I had to start looking at
the bottom out of it. Anyway, it was a very
sad turn of events. What is going on at the
Yogo factory though, Like one week no chocolate chips, next

week no spoons. I thought the same thing, Amy, because
Tully did mention something about the spoons in that video
that she put up, but it was actually that they
had removed the spoons. So, I mean, I still can't
even pen one of those viral messages to them so
that I get stocked up with a whole lot of
free stuff, because Tully was literally delivered a whole pack
of I think she got like ten yogos. I mean,

I think there's still a case for you, Sophie, because
that's rather a very disappointing moment. Well, I mean, maybe
we need to start a petition for them to put
the spoons back in, because I mean, that is a
snack that you eat on the go. I think they're
trying to help the environment. They're plastic spoons. Put a
wooden one in there. So for the image of you
in a dark, deserted car park drinking a Yogo is

going to live with me forever. It actually reminds me
a lot. I remember that guy Happy Allan. I spoke
about him last year. He's the guy that tries to
eat cream buns in three bites. I think he's got
like nearly one hundred thousand followers. Now he has moved
on from cream buns and he now does this thing
where he'll go to a restaurant and he will order
barrata and so the waiter will put it down and

he'll be like, so, how am I supposed to eat this?
And they start explaining it and he sucks it down
in one goal it's disastic. Oh well, like so it's
not even burst, it's just like the whole thing, the
whole thing. It's like a dark like he doesn't chew anything.
I'm glad I'm being compared to this man. But I mean,
here's another idea for the marketing team at Yogo. Maybe

they need a pouch, you know, like a bit of
an onbgo number. Oh but that seems like a bit
of a choking hazard is maybe crushed them up. Do
you know what I wish happened when you were at
the car park in this low moment of yours. I
wish my husband rolled into the car park because on
another episode of the Mums Group you threw him under
the us and said that he was trying to kill

time in the car park and not get back to
me and our son. Well, it would have been a
bit of paper. It only was Sophie draining time sitting
in the car, but she was eating a fucking yoga.
The worst thing is drinking a yoga. The worst thing
is the evidence is still in my car. I need
to get rid of it.

A Victorian content creator has been sacked from her workplace
after she was accused of racially villifying Indigenous people in
an offensive online comedy sketch. The so called comedian a
faced swift backlash last week after she depicted a white
person claiming to identify as an Indigenous Australian Kate. Can
you tell us more? Well? The content creator at the

center of this controversy is Lisa Jane Spencer, and she
is a self described comedian who has sixty seven thousand
followers on Instagram. Are you saying she's self described because
she's not funny. Well, yes, but also so because it's
not like she's doing comedy shows. Like she just does
comedy skits on Instagram. Her videos are the most unfunny

videos I have ever seen. I mean, they're just awkward
and offensive, clearly racist as well. Now, on Wednesday, which
just so happened to be the final day of Reconciliation Week,
Lisa posted a thirty six second clip which she claimed
was a satirized episode of SBS's program Insight. She even
included the SBS logo in her video. Now, SBS has

since come out and condemned the video, confirming they didn't produce, endorse,
or authorize the content. And good of them to point
that out, but I don't think it was needed. It
was pretty obvious she just lifted the logo. The issue there, though,
is they actually could have a case against her for
copyright breach. Now, in this video, Lisa wore white face
paint and dressed in a faux fur jacket with a

badge featuring the Aboriginal flag and the slogan always was,
Always Will Be, And she introduced herself as Auntie Lisa
and then said this, I started identifying as a blackfellow
a few months ago. I am aboriginal. End of story. Now,

in the vision, she ticked a fake government form and
mocked both a traditional clapstick dance and a smoking ceremony.
And if I couldn't get any worse, at the end
of the video, she said, aboriginal identity transcend skin color.
I am aboriginal. End of story. She then placed a
petrol can in front of her nose. Now, as you
can imagine, the backlash was swift. Lisa was labeled a

racist and told to take down the video. Instead, she
doubled down, claiming it was just a joke and that
she likes to push boundaries. She also wrote, I stand
by the jokes. This is comedy. I make fun of
everyone equally. Plenty of people love the video. I find
the welcome to Country offensive. She then went on to
claim that the parody was based on an episode of

Insight that featured Roxanne roxy Tickle. Now, she's a transgender
woman who a judge found had been indirectly discriminated against
when she was barred from a female only social media app.
So Lisa said, I created a parody using the same format,
the same logo, and the same serious interview style to
satirize what I see as an even more absurd idea

white people claiming aboriginal identity for benefits. This is not satire, though,
This is just flat out racism. I love that she's
trying to act like she's so clever and or you
didn't get the joke because it's a satirical throwback of
a clip that you didn't see. The fact that you're
having to explain what the joke is because no one
finds it funny and is offended by it should be

a red flag enough that this joke has gone too far.
The thing with Lisa is it's clear she is going
for this Manisphere red pill audience because she's also been
posting a lot of videos targeted at Abbi Chatfield. So
I heard Abbi talking about this on her podcast. I
think it could have been earlier this year, and the
same video she has shared about Abbi Chatfield not only

extremely offensive, but they're also just not fucking like. It's
not even a good parody. Abby was saying herself that
when she saw these videos, she's like, Babe, why don't
she have a curly head wig or something that makes
it look like it's me? And after Abby's podcast went out,
Lisa went and bought herself a wig. But I can
say the video is still aren't funny with the wig,
it's sort of like that awkward like it's almost like

she's on red faces at primary school, like that sort
of acting, which is just embarrassing for everybody. Yeah, and
she's trying to turn it into this debate about whether
comedy should be allowed to offend people, But this really
isn't what it's about. It's about whether what she did
actually constitutes comedy, and I would argue it doesn't because
humor has been used for a long time to expose

the absurdity of racism and also to dismantle prejudice. But
that is not what it was going on in this video.
It wasn't clever. There was no underlying message or insight
that Lisa was trying to share. It didn't challenge prejudice
or expose hypocrisy, which is what satirical comedy often does.
This punchline, the punchline was literally aboriginal people. I mean,

not only was it incredibly lazy humor that wasn't funny,
it was also very harmful because all she has done
is try to reinforce stereotypes that First Nation people have
spent years trying to fight against. Now, since the backlash,
Lisa Jane Spencer has told the media that she stands
by her video and she apologized to absolutely nobody. She
(09:25):
also claimed she wasn't prejudiced and makes jokes about all
kinds of people, not just Aboriginal people. Now, in terms
of this comment, she is correct. Her jokes have also
extended to perpetuating racist stereotypes about Indian people, because five
days prior to posting the comedy sketch depicting an Indigenous person,
she shared another apparently satirical video in the same format
(09:49):
targeting the Indian community. So in the video, she wore
a traditional Indian outfit and spoke in an Indian accent.
She told the camera, I was assigned Australian at birth,
but I identify as Indian. She then went on to
make a job about needing deodorant and threw rubbish on
her front lawn. I just can't even begin to imagine
how confronting, upsetting, and distressing it would be as an

Indian person and also a First Nations person to see
this sort of content popping up on their social media feeds. Well,
Australia's first Indigenous bachelorette, Brook Blurton, actually came out and
shared her views on the video. She said that she
was sent it by so many of her followers and
she quite rightly called Lisa Jane Spencer out. So she
told her two hundred and forty eight thousand followers that

she hated that she had to make this video, but
couldn't sit back and let it happen. Let's take a
listen to some of what she said.

I really hate that I have to make this video,
but I cannot sit back and just let this happen.
I'd like for this person to actually take accountability for this,
and so sick of Aboriginal entoriest other people being like
the brunt of the joke because.

It's not funny. You can argue that this is comedy
and it's satire and it's funny.

But it's actually not.

And this is because let's be clear, it's not kima.

It's a racist stereotype. Now. Brook went on to urge
her followers to report the video rather than engaging with her,
as she said that's what Lisa wants. Brook's video was
met with overwhelming support, and I couldn't agree more with
what she said. I mean, you can hear how articulate
and passionate Brook is there, and obviously also how it
hurt she is by this video. And I just can't
(11:26):
comprehend that Lisa would be sitting back and seeing this
reaction from First Nations people but still be adamant that
she's not apologizing and that the video is funny. I mean,
I think it shows a lot about who Lisa is
as a person. Now, less than twenty four hours after
Lisa published her skit, she was dismissed from her job
from a wellness retreat called the Peninsula Hot Springs. Now
(11:48):
she claims that she was fired on the spot with
no notice, and she says that she's been seeking legal
counsel because quote, people should not be fired from their
work for the political views and comedy. She also went
onto a leg that people illegally doxed her to her
employer by sending them the video. This actually renews my
faith in humanity that they were so swift and getting
(12:08):
rid of her because she's claiming that these are political views, No,
these are racist views that you were choosing to share
to a large audience online and that reflects in the
business that you're working at, So they have every right
to get rid of this individual. Let's be honest, though,
as much as I want to give this business props
for acting swiftly, they had to like there was no
way that they could keep her employed at the company.

It was only a matter of time before news articles
started quoting that she worked at this place. I mean,
they did not want to align with her at all,
particularly a health retreat. I mean, she's saying, oh, these
people illegally doxs me by sending the video that I
created to my employer. If you stand by that video
and you're happy to put it out there to thousands
and thousands of people, you shouldn't care if your employer
(12:52):
sees it. And it's not doxing either, because you've put
your name and face to it, so you know your
employer can search your name and find your Instagram video
if you can believe it. A so called anonymous friend
of Lisa's has set up a GoFundMe account to raise
funds to support her now that she has been fired.
I'm guessing that perhaps that is Lisa herself. I don't
(13:14):
know who could be a friend, but I mean, I
think you could be right sovery now. In the blurb
of this go fund me, it claimed that Lisa had
been quote brutally bullied in a response to a harmless
comedy video, and it went on to say that far
left activist discovered Lisa's place of work and threatened her employer,
resulting in her losing her job. The message then urged
(13:34):
people to rally around Lisa to demonstrate that free expression
and good comedy cannot be canceled by the far left.
The most disturbing thing about this go fundme is the
goal was set at ten thousand dollars and she's already
at the time of recording, got over forty seven thousand
dollars worth of donations in it. Like that is absolutely ludicrous.

If that doesn't show what's wrong with society, I don't
know what else does. I mean. I can just imagine
the people that are donating to this. Lily Brown and
Jack Kennedy have surprised their followers by tying the knot
in a civil ceremony. The Influencer and the Iron Man
broke the news on Instagram, sharing photos of the low
key celebrations. Now so there was an outpouring of love
(14:17):
for the couple, but also a lot of confused people. Yeah,
because leading into the wedding, the couple was pretty tight
lipped about their plans, but most of Lily's followers assumed
that she would have this big fuck off wedding in
Italy because that is where Jet popped the question last year.
And I think a lot of people were surprised last
week when Lily dropped that the couple were a week

away from becoming husband and wife, So everyone was very
much waiting for the weekend to get any glimpse of
what her dress was like. There were also a lot
of eyeballs on influencer M davies Instagram. She is, of
course Lily's best friend and maid of honor, and people
started looking for clues. They wanted to know if EM
and her family were boarding a plane, perhaps to Europe.

Of course, none of those clues came, and it led
people to even speculate that maybe there was some bad
blood between M and Lily because it looked like EM
wasn't attending Lily's big day. So on Sunday, Lily and
Jet broke the big news on Instagram, dropping a carousel
of wedding photos. The joint post was captioned mister and
Missus Kenny Now. In the photos, Lily was wearing a

stunning white two piece suit with a netted headband, while
Jet was wearing an all black suit, and from the photos,
it looked like they got married in some sort of
town hall with very minimal family and friends there. Lily
has since clarified that it was actually an airbnb that
they got married in. What did you guys think of
the outfit? I mean, it was very unique. It was

not what I was expecting at all. I mean, obviously
she looks stunning. I saw a lot of people comparing
her outfit to Jule Leaper's wedding dress. So when I
originally saw it, I was like, oh, okay, so they've
got married, and she's really wanted to look a bit different,
like she hasn't gone down at the gown route. She
to look really stylish, which she did. Yeah, it was
refreshing to see something different because I feel like we

are seeing most influences and celebrities and even just everyday
people wearing the same strapless silhouette. I mean, I have
to put myself out there. I wore the same one
that everyone keeps wearing, and you touched on the fact
that this outfit was very similar to Jewel Leapers. What
was also similar is the fact that Jewel Leaper also
got married in an intimate civil ceremony first, but she

had a number of other dresses when she got married
in Sicily. So maybe Lily was dropping a few clues
here that this isn't the only wedding I love that
she didn't gatekeep when it came to her outfit. So
Lily shared that the two piece suit came from Postmeridium.
So the skirt was eight hundred and forty five dollars
while the jacket was one three hundred and sixty nine.

I mean, not cheap, but I suppose reasonable when it
comes to a wedding outfit. That being said, it seems
pretty likely that this is the first of many wedding
looks we're going to see from Lily Brown. I mean,
when these photos first dropped, a lot of people assumed
that maybe the couple had decided against having a big celebration.
I think people really liked it and they thought, oh,
you know, they're just choosing to keep things intimate and romantic.

It was chic, wasn't it. Yeah? I mean nine News
reported that the wedding was a low key affair, and
Lily posted a rundown of the day on her Instagram
stories and it seemed pretty chilled. So she kicked things
off by sharing a close up photo of the couple
holding hands in bed with their wedding bands on and wrote,
so much to catch you all up on We've been
in a bubble. She then revealed that on the morning

of the wedding, she was crashing out over her fingernails
and luckily she was able to squeeze in a last
minute appointment an hour before they left their house to
get ready at a hotel. Hating it fine there. I
was actually surprised because she had I don't know if
they were black. They kind of looked like a really
deep burgundy bordering on black, and I was like, oh,
that's unusual for brighton reales. Well, I think they were

a chocolate brown, which is the color of the season
at the moment, but again, it sort of played into
that very chic vibe. Lily also showed the hotel that
they got ready in, revealing that they got ready together,
which I thought was really sweet. She showed photos of
Jet steaming his suit and also her doing her makeup
for the event, which I thought was a nice touch.
She then visited Edwards and Co. For a blowwave, and

the hairdresser that did her wedding hair was the same
hairdresser that did her hair for a first date with Jet,
which was almost five years ago. Talk about a full
circle moment there. All I could think was who gets
the hair professionally done for a day? But again, I
suppose it was a pretty big occasion. She was meeting
her husband. Yeah, and the backstory is that Lily's mum
spotted Jet Kenny on SAS and was like, Lily, You've

got to date him. So I suppose that they sort
of were building him up in their head as this celebrity. Yeah.
I mean, even though Lily Brown is very well known
in the influencer space, Jet has more of a mainstream profile.
His parents are literally sporting royalty, so maybe that's why
she went to all of the effort talking about Jet's
famous family. They then joined Lily and Jet, as well
as Lily's family for a small reception, which was at

the couple's favorite restaurant, which was a Steak and Oyster restaurant,
and the table was dressed really beautifully. There were white
flowers all over it as well as name tag, so
it did look like a beautiful reception. And that's why
people were so confused. There were so many mixed messages.
On one hand, it was like, oh, this is a
very chic wedding, you know, they didn't want a big
crowd there. They wanted it to be very intimate. And

then there were other clues that, hey, this is just
a civil ceremony. It turns out that a bigger wedding
is happening over sea. So Women's Weekly were the first
to report that the couple were set to jet off
to Italy for a second, more lavish ceremony, and Inside
It told the publication Jet proposed in Italy at a
beautiful beach side location in twenty twenty five. And while

they're remaining tight lipped about the wedding venue, knowing Jet
such a beach boy at heart, he will most certainly
want to tie the knot by the sea. If in
fact they have decided on a more rural, romantic location,
Odds are it will be some swanky villa complete with
all the trimmings and Italian wedding delivers. The publication. I
also went on to say that the wedding is set
to be a three day extravaganza with a rehearsal dinner,

is seeing this as a no expensive, spared extravaganza. She
wants their special day to be one to remember. Does
anyone else feel there's a bit of tone in that quote.
It's like they're trying to infer that Lily is seeing
Jet and his parents as some sort of cash cow
and she's going to spend up big and take advantage

of the situation. I mean, it is sort of at
odds with the rhetoric that Lily Brown has been putting
out there since she launched her own pajama business. She
has spoken quite vulnerably about the fact that she doesn't
have as much money coming through as she did when
she was an influencer, and you know, she's had to
downsize her house and you know, they've moved back in

with Jet Kenny's father. I actually think that maybe they've
sold the wedding exclusive to Women's Day, and Women's Day
are currently drumming up so advertisement for it. I actually
think think if there is an exclusive in the work,
SIT's too one of Women's Day's rivals, because I think
the tone was completely off in this article. I mean,
it continued saying that Grant Kenny is flying the whole

clan over, including the grandkids, and he's set to foot
the bill. It then went on to say that Grant
and his girlfriend will be sure everyone travels in style,
as the couple always fly business in first class, and
the grandkids will be no exception as they're the apple
of their grandpa's eye. But isn't this just women's magazines
and how they write like they're very stuck in the nineties. Yeah, well,

they were sort of playing Lisa and Grant off against
each other because then they were saying that Lisa and
her boyfriend will be making their own travel arrangements aka
suggesting that they'll be flying economy, and they then suggested
that Lisa's boyfriend could moonlight as entertainment as he's apparently
one of the best Elvis impersonators in the country. I mean,

I can't quite see Lily Brown allowing that at her wedding.
I mean, in terms of accuracy. Women's Day was on
because Lily has confirmed on Instagram that a second ceremony
is coming, so she shared more photos of the civil
ceremony and wrote civil formality is done and dusted, Now
onto the main event. I guess it is an odd

way to go about it, because usually if an influencer
couple has a civil ceremony, they wait to release those
photos after the biggert ceremony because they want all the
hype to be on the bigger event. I mean, remember
when Anna macavoy got married. She then later released those
photos because they were a bit more low key and
they weren't really the moment that they wanted everyone to

focus on. Well, it's not something people generally promote because
it's sort of more about ticking a box and making
sure that they can go ahead with the big wedding.
I do think it's an interesting strategy though, because it's
created a lot of hype, like people were really keen
to see the photos, and then it created speculation because
people are like, hang on, are they getting married elsewhere? Yes,

And Jimmy's strategy is a pretty good story arc because
you're like, oh, well, you know, we've seen what Lily
chose for her civil ceremony dress. Is she going to
go that same style or is it going to be
completely different? I mean, my guess would be completely different. Yeah,
I mean I'm captivated now. I'm going to be keeping
an eye on it now. I feel like Em Davies
was working in overtime to try and convince her followers

that there was no bad blood between her and Lily.
I mean, there was even a Daily Male article speculating
that the pair aren't friends anymore because she didn't appear
to be present at the civil ceremony or the dinner
that followed. But I'm confused. Wasn't it just family like
this was obviously a small thing. We actually haven't seen
any photos of who attended that dinner. But the next

day there appeared to be some sort of recovery lunch.
One of her friends, Louis, was in the photo, so
Em didn't appear to be at any of those celebrations.
In saying that, Em did reshare Lily's wedding photos to
her Instagram story and she wrote screaming, crying all the rest.
She also wrote under the wedding post, she said, no words,
just perfect, perfect, fucking perfect, and underneath Lily's second post

confirming the second ceremony, she wrote, let's go to which
Lily replied, yay baby. So I mean I think everyone's
reading a bit too much into it. I think everyone
needs to cut m Davies a bit of slack. She's
obviously preparing herself to go overseas for the main event.
She doesn't need to be there for the civil ceremony,
does she. I mean, she's got an almost two year old.

She's busy. Now. We have spent over the past couple
of weeks sometime analyzing which Ozzie influences will be on
this guest list, but it seems like we should have
been trying to work out which a listers will be
attending because the Woman's Day article also said that Grant
has reportedly extended the invite to his high profile friends,
including Karl Stefanovic. Do we consider Carl Stefanovic an a lister? Well, sorry,

I mean well not well in Australia, Yes, okay, he's
pretty interesting. I mean I think it would be more
of a big deal if Shanni and Michael rock up personally.

be at it. But I'm thinking it's really only going
to be the really close friends that get an invite

a lot of people the ick, So he's gone from
the hottest guy of the moment to an ick in
a matter of moments. Now, one of the top comments
on the video was this gave me the ick, which
got thirty one thousand likes. Someone else added this actually
snapped me back into reality. Thank you, which had over
eighteen thousand likes. Another person replied me too, I'm so grateful.

What was I thinking? I think I must have been
watching a very different video from these people, because, if anything,
this made me love the guy more. Like I've seen
people saying that, how did this video go for five hours? Like,
you know, it was quite enchanting. I I don't know
how people got the eke off this. I mean my
husband got the eke off it. He was like, oh
my God, he thinks so highly of himself. I more

agreed with those who were saying, how did this video
for two hours? Because it was just fun to watch,
like he was having fun with it. He was doing
the dance from the show, which is the biggest point
that people have missed. Well, a lot of people were
saying that they were fine with the dance until he
lifted up his top to reveal his abs, and that's
a bit that they're like, eugh, yeah, But the whole
thing was it was the dance from the drunk Shakespeare

event on the show, as you said, Sophie, and in
that scene he did a strip tea, so that was
the reference there. I do have to admit I kind
of forgot about that scene, so I was like when
he did lift up and showed little peekaboo of his abs,
I was kind of like, oh, I wasn't expecting that.
Because why people loved the character is he's such a

green flag. He's so emotionally intelligent, and he was a
little bit shy at dancing. He didn't love dancing, and
he did this really cute dance. So the dance that
we saw at the Kid Lroy concert was kind of
that dance from their scene, but on steroids, he was
really like giving it to the camera. People said he
was like eye fucking himself, but it's like he was
putting on a character he was. It was ampy Sophie,

like did we all watch the same video? It was hypnotic,
Like I'm actually shocked. When I saw people saying this
was an ick, I was like, fuck, this was like
the opposite of an ick for me. He's literally given
everyone what they wanted. Like everyone's been crying out, can
you recreate the dance? Recreated people recreating? Yeah, this guy
must be so confused. He's like, I've literally just given
everyone what they fucking want, and now everyone's saying I'm

an ick. The thing is because everyone was going nuts
about that little dance he did on the talk show
and that I kept seeing that on TikTok, and he
probably like, oh, if I pull this out, everyone, we
please to be honest. I actually think that ninety percent
of people enjoyed it. Did you see he shared? I
think it was in response to the negative feedback, he
shared this video of him on the dance floor doing
a very different It was like a very self deprecating,

like odd dance with his cast mate's sort of like
the hop banging going on, Like he was sort of
doing a bit of heavy metal heads. If we were
comparing the dances, that gave me more of an ick
than he's like choreographed dance. Look, this man's name and
the word ick should not be used in the serson.
You know what though, I actually think the only thing
that could have given people the ick was when he
had to quickly rush and put his wallets and keys

in his little cargo a count's pocket. I mean, that's
anything that I was like, Oh, do you know what
gave me the ick from this video was the guy
behind who was literally pushing trying to get himself in
between kid Leroy and Belmont. He was wearing a trucker
cap and he had a beard, And I'm like, mate,
stop ruining this. Because people were criticizing Belmont for not

knowing the words of the song, It's like he knew
the words. He actually chose the song girls for the
off campus scene. There was this fucking guy in the
back annoying him. What's disappointing is it just reignites that
stereotype that women don't truly know what they want, because
one minute we all wanted him, and then the next
we were like, oh, he did one small thing and

now he's like, that's identities. Now you do what it is.
It's the people don't like it when people know they're attractive,
and that whole dance was people saying, Oh, he knows
he's hot. That's what people a model.

The next thing that's been blowing up our group chat
is the fact that Molly May has revealed the gender
of her second child. I think everyone's well aware that
it's a boy. However, she is still teasing us. She
has not told us the name. It's so funny because
before they revealed the gender, someone had put the birth
announcement photo into chat gpt and asked them to put

the colors back into the photo because it was of
course black and white, so they didn't reveal the gender. Anyway,
This video went absolutely nuts because people were like, oh
my god, it's a girl because chat gpt has made
the blanket pink. And I think that is the biggest
lesson there. Do not trust chat GPT. They don't know everything.
What a shop. Chat GPT got it wrong. It was
so obvious that it was a boy. I actually saw

this TikTok and someone shared that the particular swaddle that
the baby had on it was like from a store
that was selling blue swaddles. So that bit of information
confirmed it to me. But even the fact that Molly
said after finding out she was pregnant that that was
it for them, they were happy to have two children.
I felt like that gave it away a bit that

it must be a boy, because Tommy has been quite
open about how he wants a son. I mean, yeah,
I definitely thought it was going to be a boy.
What I love is that Molly has given us a
few tidbits about what it's like in the newborn bubble
at the moment. So she posted a photo of unnamed
son and said what a dream it's been in this
newborn bubble. She also wrote, thank you for healing so

many of my newborn fears, little one. The peace and
happiness I feel this time around is something I wish
for but didn't know would come. The difference compared to
this stage with Bambi is indescribable now as someone who
has a two year old son and is in that
phase of life where everyone's like, when are you having
a second. I actually found this really nice to read
that she was having a positive experience with number two. Yeah.

I felt really relieved for her because I found a
lot of solace in watching Molly May's initial newborn videos
when my son was born, because I was like, oh,
someone else gets that. Someone else is struggling and finding
it tough. But it is beautiful to hear that second
time round, it's been a much better experience for her.

Tommy Fury is going to release this name when he

has his next big fight, because in a YouTube video
when Molly was still pregnant, she dropped that they were

the name. I have to admit when the first couple
of seconds played and it was like, oh, Molly May's
revealed the baby name, I actually clicked off our Instagram
story and went to her page. I'm like, I don't
want it spoiled by this random and then I realized

it's actually a brank. I was like, for fuck's sake.
What I love the most about this trend, though, is
that you can tell the boyfriends that are actually invested
in what the name is, and their faces kind of
light up when she goes, oh, guess the name, and
then when they're told the fake name, there's this kind
of smug thing, like can you believe it? I actually

saw one where a friend pranked another friend and they
told the girl that the name was Dumbo. They said
it was another character and she's say, no boy. I
think the number one guess at the moment is Bo,
but I don't think that that really ties in because
Molly said that there's only one other kid that she
knows with this name. But people are saying that it's
Bo spelled in a weird way, whether it's b ea

it wrong. We're not waiting all this time for her

chased Jlo to be in her and he's got a
big crush on her, the rumors have been flying that
they're dating, and it's really quite funny because he thought
there was no way j Lo was gonna be in it,
but apparently she's a massive ted Lasso fan and his
character Roy Kent was her favorite. There's a lot of
chemistry between the two of them in this show. I

binged it over the weekend. It's no ted Lasso, but
it's pretty cute, like it's easy watching. And it's funny
because in the show, j Loo is his boss and
he's sort of this you know, well, he's her lawyer basically,
but everyone's sort of beneath her in it, so it's
almost like it's playing out in real life, like she's
this big movie star. He's this like UK actor that's

trying to get to her. But surely this is all
just some pr stunt like Margo Robbie and Jacob ELORDI,
you know, they were playing up their connection. I feel
like this is what happens now every time there's a
movie out, the stars are just pretending that they're in
awe of each other. I don't know, I feel like
they could actually be some truth to it, because obvious
she's no longer with Ben Affleck. She is on the market,

and a lot of actors do fall in love on
the sets of movies. I mean, it makes her a
perfect wedding speech. I can just imagine it, like, oh,

that he could be really good for her because she's

you have rather a shameful story that you would like
to bring to the podcast. I almost wasn't going to
bring it because it is that shameful and that embarrassing,
but I thought, you know, why not put about there
and be vulnerable. So it actually ties into something we

were talking about on the Mum's Group a couple of
weeks ago. So influencer Tully Smyth, she was raging when
she bought a Yogo and it was one of her
pregnancy cravings and she found it. It was a chocchip
Yogo and basically there were no chop chips in the packet.
And since then I have been craving one and I
was at the shop, so I was doing a last
(01:08):
minute shop. My husband was looking after our son at home.
I raced in around five point thirty and I thought,
fuck it, I'm going to have one of those, and
needed in the car because I didn't want to bring
it home to the chaos of my house, and I
thought I also didn't want to be judged having one.
I'm actually surprised that that made you want to get
a Yogo, because if anything that put me off, like
the threat of not having chocolate chips. Well, I actually

got the eminem ones just in case. So I got
in the car, loaded all the groceries in, sat down
painting the picture. It was pitch black outside, opened the Yogo,
poured in the M and ms, and then I'm like,
holy fuck, where's this spoon? So I was that hungry,
and also I didn't actually want to bring home, as
I said, I didn't really want to be judged, So

I literally ended up having to drink it in the car,
and I didn't realize that the woman next to me
was pund staring in at me and got really sad
because it then got to the stage where the yogat
was so thick that I had to start looking at
the bottom out of it. Anyway, it was a very
sad turn of events. What is going on at the
Yogo factory though, Like one week no chocolate chips, next

week no spoons. I thought the same thing, Amy, because
Tully did mention something about the spoons in that video
that she put up, but it was actually that they
had removed the spoons. So, I mean, I still can't
even pen one of those viral messages to them so
that I get stocked up with a whole lot of
free stuff, because Tully was literally delivered a whole pack
of I think she got like ten yogos. I mean,

I think there's still a case for you, Sophie, because
that's rather a very disappointing moment. Well, I mean, maybe
we need to start a petition for them to put
the spoons back in, because I mean, that is a
snack that you eat on the go. I think they're
trying to help the environment. They're plastic spoons. Put a
wooden one in there. So for the image of you
in a dark, deserted car park drinking a Yogo is

going to live with me forever. It actually reminds me
a lot. I remember that guy Happy Allan. I spoke
about him last year. He's the guy that tries to
eat cream buns in three bites. I think he's got
like nearly one hundred thousand followers. Now he has moved
on from cream buns and he now does this thing
where he'll go to a restaurant and he will order
barrata and so the waiter will put it down and

he'll be like, so, how am I supposed to eat this?
And they start explaining it and he sucks it down
in one goal it's disastic. Oh well, like so it's
not even burst, it's just like the whole thing, the
whole thing. It's like a dark like he doesn't chew anything.
I'm glad I'm being compared to this man. But I mean,
here's another idea for the marketing team at Yogo. Maybe

they need a pouch, you know, like a bit of
an onbgo number. Oh but that seems like a bit
of a choking hazard is maybe crushed them up. Do
you know what I wish happened when you were at
the car park in this low moment of yours. I
wish my husband rolled into the car park because on
another episode of the Mums Group you threw him under
the us and said that he was trying to kill

time in the car park and not get back to
me and our son. Well, it would have been a
bit of paper. It only was Sophie draining time sitting
in the car, but she was eating a fucking yoga.
The worst thing is drinking a yoga. The worst thing
is the evidence is still in my car. I need

You can argue that this is comedy and it's satire
and it's funny, but it's actually not.

A Victorian content creator has been sacked from her workplace
after she was accused of racially villifying Indigenous people in
an offensive online comedy sketch. The so called comedian a
faced swift backlash last week after she depicted a white
person claiming to identify as an Indigenous Australian Kate. Can
you tell us more? Well? The content creator at the
(04:47):
center of this controversy is Lisa Jane Spencer, and she
is a self described comedian who has sixty seven thousand
followers on Instagram. Are you saying she's self described because
she's not funny. Well, yes, but also so because it's
not like she's doing comedy shows. Like she just does
comedy skits on Instagram. Her videos are the most unfunny
(05:07):
videos I have ever seen. I mean, they're just awkward
and offensive, clearly racist as well. Now, on Wednesday, which
just so happened to be the final day of Reconciliation Week,
Lisa posted a thirty six second clip which she claimed
was a satirized episode of SBS's program Insight. She even
included the SBS logo in her video. Now, SBS has
(05:30):
since come out and condemned the video, confirming they didn't produce, endorse,
or authorize the content. And good of them to point
that out, but I don't think it was needed. It
was pretty obvious she just lifted the logo. The issue there, though,
is they actually could have a case against her for
copyright breach. Now, in this video, Lisa wore white face
paint and dressed in a faux fur jacket with a
(05:51):
badge featuring the Aboriginal flag and the slogan always was,
Always Will Be, And she introduced herself as Auntie Lisa
and then said this, I started identifying as a blackfellow
a few months ago. I am aboriginal. End of story. Now,
(06:11):
in the vision, she ticked a fake government form and
mocked both a traditional clapstick dance and a smoking ceremony.
And if I couldn't get any worse, at the end
of the video, she said, aboriginal identity transcend skin color.
I am aboriginal. End of story. She then placed a
petrol can in front of her nose. Now, as you
can imagine, the backlash was swift. Lisa was labeled a
(06:34):
racist and told to take down the video. Instead, she
doubled down, claiming it was just a joke and that
she likes to push boundaries. She also wrote, I stand
by the jokes. This is comedy. I make fun of
everyone equally. Plenty of people love the video. I find
the welcome to Country offensive. She then went on to
claim that the parody was based on an episode of
(06:55):
Insight that featured Roxanne roxy Tickle. Now, she's a transgender
woman who a judge found had been indirectly discriminated against
when she was barred from a female only social media app.
So Lisa said, I created a parody using the same format,
the same logo, and the same serious interview style to
satirize what I see as an even more absurd idea

white people claiming aboriginal identity for benefits. This is not satire, though,
This is just flat out racism. I love that she's
trying to act like she's so clever and or you
didn't get the joke because it's a satirical throwback of
a clip that you didn't see. The fact that you're
having to explain what the joke is because no one
finds it funny and is offended by it should be
(07:36):
a red flag enough that this joke has gone too far.
The thing with Lisa is it's clear she is going
for this Manisphere red pill audience because she's also been
posting a lot of videos targeted at Abbi Chatfield. So
I heard Abbi talking about this on her podcast. I
think it could have been earlier this year, and the
same video she has shared about Abbi Chatfield not only
(07:56):
extremely offensive, but they're also just not fucking like. It's
not even a good parody. Abby was saying herself that
when she saw these videos, she's like, Babe, why don't
she have a curly head wig or something that makes
it look like it's me? And after Abby's podcast went out,
Lisa went and bought herself a wig. But I can
say the video is still aren't funny with the wig,
it's sort of like that awkward like it's almost like

she's on red faces at primary school, like that sort
of acting, which is just embarrassing for everybody. Yeah, and
she's trying to turn it into this debate about whether
comedy should be allowed to offend people, But this really
isn't what it's about. It's about whether what she did
actually constitutes comedy, and I would argue it doesn't because
humor has been used for a long time to expose

the absurdity of racism and also to dismantle prejudice. But
that is not what it was going on in this video.
It wasn't clever. There was no underlying message or insight
that Lisa was trying to share. It didn't challenge prejudice
or expose hypocrisy, which is what satirical comedy often does.
This punchline, the punchline was literally aboriginal people. I mean,
(09:02):
not only was it incredibly lazy humor that wasn't funny,
it was also very harmful because all she has done
is try to reinforce stereotypes that First Nation people have
spent years trying to fight against. Now, since the backlash,
Lisa Jane Spencer has told the media that she stands
by her video and she apologized to absolutely nobody. She
(09:25):
also claimed she wasn't prejudiced and makes jokes about all
kinds of people, not just Aboriginal people. Now, in terms
of this comment, she is correct. Her jokes have also
extended to perpetuating racist stereotypes about Indian people, because five
days prior to posting the comedy sketch depicting an Indigenous person,
she shared another apparently satirical video in the same format
(09:49):
targeting the Indian community. So in the video, she wore
a traditional Indian outfit and spoke in an Indian accent.
She told the camera, I was assigned Australian at birth,
but I identify as Indian. She then went on to
make a job about needing deodorant and threw rubbish on
her front lawn. I just can't even begin to imagine
how confronting, upsetting, and distressing it would be as an
(10:11):
Indian person and also a First Nations person to see
this sort of content popping up on their social media feeds. Well,
Australia's first Indigenous bachelorette, Brook Blurton, actually came out and
shared her views on the video. She said that she
was sent it by so many of her followers and
she quite rightly called Lisa Jane Spencer out. So she
told her two hundred and forty eight thousand followers that

she hated that she had to make this video, but
couldn't sit back and let it happen. Let's take a
listen to some of what she said.

I really hate that I have to make this video,
but I cannot sit back and just let this happen.
I'd like for this person to actually take accountability for this,
and so sick of Aboriginal entoriest other people being like
the brunt of the joke because.

It's not funny. You can argue that this is comedy
and it's satire and it's funny.

But it's actually not.

And this is because let's be clear, it's not kima.

It's a racist stereotype. Now. Brook went on to urge
her followers to report the video rather than engaging with her,
as she said that's what Lisa wants. Brook's video was
met with overwhelming support, and I couldn't agree more with
what she said. I mean, you can hear how articulate
and passionate Brook is there, and obviously also how it
hurt she is by this video. And I just can't
(11:26):
comprehend that Lisa would be sitting back and seeing this
reaction from First Nations people but still be adamant that
she's not apologizing and that the video is funny. I mean,
I think it shows a lot about who Lisa is
as a person. Now, less than twenty four hours after
Lisa published her skit, she was dismissed from her job
from a wellness retreat called the Peninsula Hot Springs. Now
(11:48):
she claims that she was fired on the spot with
no notice, and she says that she's been seeking legal
counsel because quote, people should not be fired from their
work for the political views and comedy. She also went
onto a leg that people illegally doxed her to her
employer by sending them the video. This actually renews my
faith in humanity that they were so swift and getting
(12:08):
rid of her because she's claiming that these are political views, No,
these are racist views that you were choosing to share
to a large audience online and that reflects in the
business that you're working at, So they have every right
to get rid of this individual. Let's be honest, though,
as much as I want to give this business props

course black and white, so they didn't reveal the gender. Anyway,
This video went absolutely nuts because people were like, oh

What a shop. Chat GPT got it wrong. It was
so obvious that it was a boy. I actually saw

the baby had on it was like from a store
that was selling blue swaddles. So that bit of information
confirmed it to me. But even the fact that Molly
said after finding out she was pregnant that that was
it for them, they were happy to have two children.

open about how he wants a son. I mean, yeah,

What I love is that Molly has given us a
few tidbits about what it's like in the newborn bubble

newborn bubble. She also wrote, thank you for healing so

many of my newborn fears, little one. The peace and
happiness I feel this time around is something I wish
for but didn't know would come. The difference compared to
