Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
Amy Torber and coming up on today's show, the real
reason behind the closure of Chloe SEP's active wear brand.
Tammy Hembro spotted at the airport with her ex and
Varuka Salt Shock pregnancy the first Saffron Baker has confirmed

(00:25):
her rugby player X did in fact cheat on her.
Almost two years on from their public split. The popular
UK influencer dished the dirt on her ex, Lewis Reese Sammut.
I was absolutely living for this vlog because I've been
really enjoying seeing Saffron in Australia and she was with
her friends at a restaurant on the Gold Coast when
she dropped this juicy detail. Let's take a listen, and

(00:48):
I think, I.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Don't I asked, you don't know how to keep again?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
If I do, this is going on tech took.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Don't keep your sam butts? Why am I ankiing it
on me? Oh no, he's that was what happens. I
think Beyonce was, Yeah, but jay Z cheating on Beyonce
and they go, oh oh, so yeah, probably someone says that.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Run This gave a really interesting insight into the breakup
because it's quite clear that Lewis was begging Saffron to
take him back. It's also clear from this comment that
he thinks he's a pretty big deal, referring to himself
sort of in the terms of jay Z and Beyonce, like,
come on, we're so famous. It's okay. She took him back,
you can take me back. Where this big it couple

(01:35):
in the UK idea? How the girl that he hooked
up with after Saffron feels about it, because there were
rumors that the girl he ended up putting all over
his Instagram was the one he cheated on her with.
Oh she was a big DJ in America. She was stunning.
She looked very similar to Saffron. Well, at the time,
Lewis had just been signed by the Chiefs, and I
wonder if he just thought, well, I can do whatever

(01:55):
I want. I'm a footballer now in the US, Like
this is obviously what goes on behind the scenes. He
would have had women just throwing themselves at him. Not
that that's an excuse. He didn't last very long at
the Chiefs because they released him in twenty twenty four
and he's actually back in the UK playing rugby again,
which is probably a bit of a blow to his ego. Well,
he's got a new influencer girlfriend called Drew Not so

(02:17):
she isn't as big as Saffron on social media. She's
got around thirty thousand followers. Well, Saffron and him met
on Riya, so that's clearly where he's meeting his new girls.
We are restopping our two best sellers of this week,
so I'm going to go through a few of our
key features. A liquidator has revealed the real reason behind
the closure of influencer Chloe Zep's active where brand zep Well,

(02:40):
The controversial influencer initially claimed she was guided by God
to shut down the label. A new report confirms the
company was actually placed into liquidation. Now, so this report
comes almost a year after Chloe shut up shop. Yeah,
that's right. It was actually in April last year, if
you'll believe it, that Chloe broke the news that she
was closing down Ze. She wrote big announcement. Hello, it's

(03:02):
been a while since I've shared on here, but there's
some big changes happening in my life. I have been
contemplating in prayer for a good year now, to gain
clarity and direction. A big decision always scares me, but
with God, I know he holds the whole picture and
I just have to work it out peace by peace. Now,
this post was met with a mixed reception. Initially, there
was a lot of confusion because at first glance, many

(03:25):
followers thought that this was some sort of pregnancy announcement
because in the main photo she was pregnant and in
ZEP active where and it was this very lengthy post.
It wasn't until the eighth line of the caption that
she mentioned the closure of her brand, and she just
continually referenced motherhood throughout this very long announcement. She said

(03:45):
she no longer had enough time to pursue ZEP, and
while she didn't know what was next, she had peace
knowing that motherhood is in her heart and that she
was raising her boys. Now. Amongst the confusion, there appeared
to be a lot of genuine ZEP customers pointed by
the announcement, so many were raving about the quality of
the active wear. But it was actually a comment by

(04:06):
Chloe's mum that fueled speculation that perhaps a family was
undergoing financial hardship, so she wrote, Oh Chloe with a
crying face emoji. So proud of you, my baby girl.
You are a wonderful mother and it's commendable that you
were choosing to spend this precious time with your beautiful boys. Unfortunately,
over the years, several people have taken advantage of your
kindness and generosity. But I'm excited for your bright future

(04:29):
with your fiance and children. Love you so, so so
much now. At the time, many people questioned why Chloe
didn't sell the brand to an investor if there was
still demand from customers. It turns out, though, that the
demand for the once popular active wear had dramatically dropped off,
with the brand forced into liquidation. So last week the
Gold Coast Bulletin picked up on a report filed by

(04:51):
a local LIQUIDATA who combed through Chloe Zep's finances. Now
the liquidator in question was Adam Ward from Worrell's Liquidata,
and he looked at Chloe Zep pty Ltd, which the
ZEP active where labeled trades under, and found at the
end of the twenty twenty five financial year, ZEP had
a working capital deficiency of one hundred and four thousand,

(05:13):
one hundred and thirty nine and would have likely suffered
cash flow shortages during the financial year. The report also
showed that Chloe's company was unable to pay its outstanding
tax debt in full and currently owes one hundred and
thirteen thousand, three hundred and fifty one dollars to the
ATO now. The company also owned a twenty twenty two
Mercedes Benz, which presumably was a business car that Chloe

(05:36):
got around in, and the report showed that the company
currently owes eighty seven thousand, two hundred and five dollars
on finances for that cast, so it doesn't paint a
pretty picture of what was going on behind the scenes.
So essentially, the company was short on cash and there
wasn't a lot of cash flow going on, so they
couldn't actually cover their bills. The report also showed that
Chloe Zepp took out a number of loans from her company,

(05:59):
which isn't uncommon, but what is interesting is how big
these loans were. So she took out hundreds of thousands
of dollars worth of loans, which also helped to fund
her fitness app Wellweb, which is a bit of a
blast from the past. This could be why we are
seeing Chloe try and make a return to social media
through Substack. It seems like she needs money to pay

(06:19):
off these debts. Now, I've always been intrigued to know
what an influencer like Chloe Zep actually earns in a year,
because she, of course had a business as well as
a successful online career. So the report gave a bit
of an insight. In twenty twenty two, her business, which
includes Zep as well as her social media content, made
a net profit of over a million dollars. Now, the

(06:40):
company itself made an annual income of over four million dollars.
Of course, once all of the business overheads were taken out,
that was whittled down to a million dollars, but still
a lot of money on her plate. Now, just a
few years later, that annual income dropped dramatically, so it
went down from four million dollars to nine hundred and
fifty five thousand, one hundred and forty five dollars. That

(07:02):
not only is a massive revenue drop, but when you
consider three years earlier, it costs three million dollars to
actually just cover the costs of Chloe Zeppptyltd. It's scary
to think how much money this business was actually hemorrhaging. Well,
when you consider the fact that by twenty nineteen the
brand was big enough to have six staff working on
the Gold Coast in a very flash office, you can
see that they had quite a number of overheads that

(07:24):
they weren't able to meet come twenty twenty five. I mean,
it isn't entirely surprising considering at the end of twenty
twenty one, Chloe was canceled for sharing anti VAXX views
across her social media platforms. I mean, at the time,
people were burning their Chloezep activewear online. It was embarrassing
to be seen out in it, well, as well as
the fact that Zep became very on the nose to wear.

(07:46):
It also came in a time when Chloe Zepp stopped
posting on social media altogether, and she told the liquidator
that the company was placed into liquidation after reduced posting
on social media platforms led to a decline in social
media following over time, and in turn a material reduction
in revenue and profitability. I mean, it's not surprising that

(08:07):
your brand's not going to be profitable when one, you
aren't engaging with your audience. I mean, you can't just
disappear online and think that sales are going to continue
going through. I mean we discussed that in length at
the time. We said, how can you have a profitable
business if you're not putting out social media content. I
mean the ZEP brand heavily relies on Chloe Zepp. I

(08:27):
mean it's named after her. I mean there are a
number of influences. I mean Sammy Robinson springs to mind,
who have been able to build their brand to be
so successful that it is a standalone brand from them
that they could continue to be profitable if they do
disappear from social media. I mean, Sammy Robinson really carved
a name for herself by putting out YouTube. She barely

(08:49):
puts any of those out because she actually runs her
business day to day now. I mean, there's a difference
between making a strategic decision to stop posting as opposed
to what happened with Chloe Zepp was that she kind
of had to stopped posting. She was copying a lot
of negative commentary. It's quite clear that brands didn't want
to work with her as well. Because the report outlined
that the primary source of her company's income was from

(09:12):
zeb Activewear, so there was a real pushback from any
brands to want to associate with her due to her
anti VAX's views. Now the liquidator, Adam Wood also revealed
his primary investigations had identified potential illegal behavior by the
company's directors or managers. In particular, he identified potential offenses
of insolvent trading, contravention of care and diligence, and contravention

(09:36):
of use of position. Now he is set to lodge
a report with ACIX shortly, but no findings have yet
been made by ACIK and no criminal charges have been laid.
The Gold cost Sun attempted to contact Chloe for comment,
but she did not get back to them. I'm sitting
in front of the TV. What's on the screen? Desperate

(09:57):
Housewives of Beverly Hills and another pap shot of Tammy
Hembro at the airport is making headlines. This time around,
it wasn't because of her hair extensions, it was who
she was with. Now I want to call you, Kate,
the official Tammy Hembro correspondent, because every week you push
for her to be in a segment. Now we have
had some listeners saying that they're sick of hearing about her,

(10:18):
But you you really want to cover this one? Why
what had arguments about not including it for anyway? Well, firstly,
when you break down the fourth wall and have a
look at the analytics, that is not what it is
telling us because we get a lot more downloads on
the episode where Tammy Hembro is mentioned in the title,
I personally am very interested in her, particularly the era
she is in at the moment, because it is chaotic. Now,

(10:41):
she was papped at Sydney Airport with none other than
her ex Matt Paul.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Now.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
They were joined by their daughter Posey and Matt's fiance
Annalise Oatway and their baby son Parker. Interestingly, it appears
that they traveled all together from the Gold Coast to
Sydney because they all had luggage with them. I wonder
if they teed that up and plan to travel together
or if it just was a coincidence. Well, they looked
really buddy, buddy, They're all laughing and smiling. It was
clear they knew cameras were on them and they had

(11:07):
to perform. Matt's dad even met him in the terminal
and hugged Tammy because for some background, Matt is originally
from Sydney, so all looked very civil between the pair.
The paps even filmed Tammy and Annalise talking do we
reckon that someone called the paps because this is a
great pr opportunity to show that their co parenting relationship
is back on track. There's been a lot of reports

(11:28):
that things behind the scenes haven't been going well. Look,
I think in this instance the paparazzi genuinely were just
there because they are known to hang around at the airport.
That being said, there are new pap shots of Tammy
and her boyfriend at the beach in Sydney that have
just come up on the Daily Mail, and I think
Tammy one hundred percent called the paps down. No, she didn't,
Grace and well yes, the yeah, it's desperate for attention.

(11:51):
I mean, I have to disagree with you, Amy. I
think Tammy definitely called the paps at the airport because
she wanted to redeem herself after those terrible pap shots
of her arriving home from Adelaide with her hair extensions
all visible. I mean, her hair and makeup looked really good.
She was smiling. It was clear she was turning it
on for the camera. So I do think that this
was a bit of a strategic decision. I reckon she

(12:12):
was looking extra good because she was excited that her
boyfriend was picking her up because he is based in Sydney.
That's why she was jetting in. Yeah. Well, it's interesting
that these part photos of them at the beach have
emerged because Tammy seemed shy to share him on her
socials despite publicly appearing at the Wuthering Heights premiere together
a couple of weeks ago. She somewhat semi soft launched

(12:33):
him in this smoothie taste test she did on TikTok.
So she was trying out these air one Jupe smoothies
in his car and she had the camera firmly positioned
just on her, but she was so giggly and distracted
by his presence. At one point you could actually hear
him talking, And of course he had to comment on
the video. He wrote, what's so funny, to which Tammy replied,

(12:55):
had someone distracting me? I mean, it's so clear he's
trying to gain followers. Grayson has been popping up on
my TikTok all the time. I get the algorithm those
I'm interested in Tammy Hembro, but I don't actually want
to see him. But I did notice that he did
a taste test of his own. However, in his video,
he was by himself, and he was trying out the
oakbery smoothies that Tammy and his sister's brand, Selfish SUPs,

(13:17):
have collaborated with. I mean, clearly he's looking for clout,
he said this food review. I have no correlation to
any of these drinks. I just wanted to do a review.
He then zoomed in on the Selfish SUPs logo. I
mean he is just asking for attention over Tammy Hembro.
I mean, is this not the biggest red flag you've
ever seen? Oh, it's just mind boggling, Like I actually

(13:38):
can't believe it. I mean, if I didn't already have
the ick, this video gave me even a bigger ick.
I mean, in this taste test, he said that the
smoothie tastes like breakfast. I mean, why do we need
that on the internet? Insightful stuff? I mean, his top
quality content didn't stop there. Earlier in the week, he
filmed a video of himself training in the gym with
a caption I woke up, I trained, I'm six foot four.

(14:00):
No one's pregnant. I had my coffee. I'm six foot four.
Life is good. I mean, this comment, again, is incredibly
attention seeking. He is dating a woman with three kids
and a woman who constantly gets trolled about rushing into
engagements and pregnancies with new boyfriends. So the fact that
he has to point out, Oh, I haven't got her
pregnant yet, is just mind boggling. That she is not

(14:21):
picking up on this. I mean, I think it's his
way of responding to the speculation that was out there
initially when they hard launched their relationship on the red carpet.
He's also been getting a lot of comments on his
social media saying, Oh, you're going to impregnate her your
baby daddy number three. But if you actually care about relationship, like,
why would you buy into that. I mean, it's clear
he's just using tammy for followers at this stage, and

(14:43):
doing so very brazenly. I mean, the fact that he
also had to mention that he's six foot four twice,
I mean, just gives me an indication of the sort
of ego that this guy has similar to Tammy. Grayson
also seems to love to mind to a song lyricord
to one TikTok and over fifty four thousand views when
he shared the caption but she's older than you alongside

(15:05):
the lyric. That's the way I like it now. Fifty
four thousand views, I have to point out is quite
a feat for him because he only has one and
a half thousand followers on tiktoks, so his little games
don't seem to be working at the moment. I just
don't get how Tammy watches his content and goes, oh
yeah cool. Like for me, this would be a massive
red flag. I would love to know what her sisters

(15:25):
think about it. I mean, unless this is just some
sort of big PR relationship and Tammy is working very
cleverly behind the scenes to detract from something else going
on that she doesn't want us to know about. I mean, God,
it would have to be something massive behind the scenes
if you're willing to put this out there to the public.
I mean, it is a big tactic of hers. Matt
Tzakowski was recently on I'm a sled, Get Me out

(15:46):
of Here and getting some very good PR around it.
She's sort of stolen a lot of that attention back
from him. Yeah, but she's not getting good pr Everyone's
just saying, Wow, this is actually quite difficult to watch
because again, you seem to be making the same mistakes
that you have recently.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
I want to know more about your pregnancy.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Same.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Unfortunately, pregnancy is long and boring. It's long and fucking boring.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
Veraruka Salt has shocked her followers by announcing she's pregnant.
The news comes just months after the Australian TikToker ended
her short lived marriage Kate. A lot of people were
surprised by this news. Well, she definitely loves keeping her
audience on their toes. Late last year, she gained mass
engagement on her TikTok when she revealed she'd married a
man she'd only met two weeks prior. Shock horror, that

(16:36):
didn't work out. Ten weeks after their shotgun Vegas wedding,
she announced the marriage was over. Now not much was
known about Veruka's estrange husband for a long time. He
was only known by his social media handle Digi Premium.
Following the breakup, though Veruka dropped his name is Donovan,
which really upset you, Sophie, I just can't refer to
him as anything other than DIGI. Now, that's just what

(16:58):
he's going to forever be known to me as.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Now.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Despite saying in her initial breakup statement that she would
be keeping the matter private, it didn't take long for
Veruka to paint a very disturbing image of the marriage.
Now she alleged that her husband sexually assaulted her, was violent,
and cheated on her. It's important to state that those
are unfounded allegations at this point. Now, in a strange move,

(17:21):
Veruka broke the news of her pregnancy in a video
where she was speaking about her a strange husband's new
relationship with one of her former friends. So in the video,
she said that she felt sorry for the woman as
she believes Donovan's plan is to baby trap her. Let's
take a listen, but I.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Know that sick motherfucker has a third more sinister prone.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
He's gonna back up out here. Oh my god, he's
gonna be mom with you.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Marriages, come and go.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Baby, you're stopped for life.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Mom Me, somebody else did there's a baby in there? Surprise.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Wow, what a way to break the news. I mean,
I know that the old beach pregnancy photos are a
little cringe these days and very millennial, but this is
really a new way talk about your ex and how
he may be impregnating your friend and then dropped that
you're pregnant. I mean. This video attracted over a million views. However,
the way TikTok works, people's attention spans are pretty short,

(18:19):
and because she announced this bombshell news at the end
of the video, not everyone stuck around for it, so
she had to upload a follow up video of her
taking a pregnancy test. So she showed the camera the
positive test and had a shocked expression on her face.
She then said this, I'm taking it for the video.
I've no bragous Now that video has gone absolutely virus

(18:41):
clocked up over four million views. Most of the commenters
wanted to know who the father was. Interestingly, Kat Clark,
who is another popular Australian TikToker who has moved to
the US, wrote, can't wait for baby cuddles. I didn't
realize that Ruka was still in the US. I thought
that she came back to Australia following this marriage breakdown. No,

(19:02):
so she is still there dealing with all of the
fallout from it.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Now.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
In terms of the comments on Vuka's posts, one of
them really hit me hard. Someone wrote Cash is a
big brother Now. That comment got over fifty one and
a half thousand likes now. For those unaware, Varuka tragically
lost her six week old son Cash to SIDS in
twenty twenty four. Since the tragedy, Veruka has shared her
grief with her audience, and in twenty twenty five was

(19:27):
very vocal about the fact that she wanted to have
another baby, so much so that she actually started to
go fund me Paige at the start of twenty twenty five,
asking her followers for donations to make that possible. Now.
She ended up flying to the US in May twenty
twenty five to undergo fertility treatment, and at the time
she was actually accused of using the donated money to

(19:48):
fund the holiday. Now that treatment was unsuccessful, and in
August she revealed she'd come to the realization that she
isn't in the right head space to have another baby
at the moment. Yeah, so there was a lot of
confus usion about how this baby came about. So she
revealed that the pregnancy came as a surprise to her
because she's actually been on birth control. Here's more of

(20:09):
what she said.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
It is very confusing because pretty much last year I
was trying to get pregnant, like on purpose, and then
this year was like, you know what, I've made peace
with it. I'll tell the universe I don't want a baby,
and I'll do my own thing and I'll work with myself.
So I got drunk for two months straight, got on
birth control, bomb baby. Should we sue them, the birth
control people?

Speaker 1 (20:30):
We should sue them now. When asked by a follower
to divulge more details about her pregnancy, Veruka responded saying
it was long and fucking boring. She also admitted that
it was difficult to navigate the American healthcare system compared
to Australias. Now. In terms of the big question who
is the father, his identity is yet to be revealed.

(20:50):
Veruka was very quick to shut down rumors though that
her estrange husband was the father. Let's take a listen.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
My ex husband is not the father. I just want
to make that really fucking clear. If he was, I'd
be in the clinic.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
I'd be in the clinic.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Okay, I'm like six weeks pregnant and I haven't been
with him since December third or fourth, can't remember.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
I'm glad for everyone's sake that Digi Premium is not
the father, because it sounds like it was obviously a
very unhealthy relationship. And I don't think that these two
people should be tied together. I don't think that would
be beneficial for the child at all. Well, it appears
Vruka won't be moving back home to Australia anytime soon.
I mean, firstly, you'd presume that the father of her

(21:32):
baby is American. And secondly, she said that she is
set to be granted a humanitarian green card in three
years time because of the abuse she allegedly received from
her estranged husband. I initially wondered whether it was a
bit of an incentive for her to have a child
with an American father, because maybe it meant that it sped
up the process of her getting a green card. But

(21:53):
from looking into it, it actually doesn't make that process
any easier at all. I think the child has to
be twenty one before they can help sponsor you to
get a green card, so I mean she'd be playing
a very long game in that instance. Yeah, it's probably
easier to wait for three years for that humanitarian green card.
I mean, it seems like from a financial perspective, the

(22:13):
move to the US has been good for her because
she's revealed that she just bought a Porsche and in
another video she showed off wads of cash. So I'm
guessing that because she's now based in the US, she's
able to take advantage of the US TikTok creator fund.
I mean, her videos constantly hit millions and millions of views,
so she'd be making quite a bit of cash, and

(22:34):
people will be very interested in her pregnancy content as
well as her newborn content. All of that aside, I'm
really happy for her because I think that this is
something that she clearly really wanted and I think that
it will be very interesting to see her journey. Well,
that is all we have time for today. If you
