My Life Update (Dec. '24)

Hi everyone, just wanted to give you an update.

(00:04):
And I wanted to give you an update on what's been going on in my life and just some of
the lessons I've learned in this last three and a half years just being a nurse.
I'm fortunate to have mentors.
I have some really esteemed mentors.
One of my mentors achieved a honor.
He was telling me this story about being let go from a job and how humiliated he felt being

(00:29):
fired from that job.
And that's what led him to move.
He relocated and wound up being with an organization.
With this organization, he was able to make a key connection that led to achieving the
high honor.
Now keep this in mind at his old job, he attempted to achieve this honor, but he was denied.
But this go around, he was able to make it because he made that connection.

(00:53):
So by talking to him, it was just kind of an eye opener because it just let me know
that sometimes God will have to move you out of a situation to another situation in order
for you to go forward.
And I ran across a situation like this too myself while I've been in nursing where I

(01:13):
was kind of forced to move.
And because I was forced to move, it put me in another situation that wound up being for
my best benefit.
And now I'm able to kind of retrospect, look back to see if I would have stayed in that
same situation, my life would have been totally different than it is now.

(01:35):
So I would say, kind of pick up on these clues.
Maybe you holding on to something so hard because in your mind, that's what you think
you need or what you want.
Instead of realizing that maybe God is trying to take it from you.
And once he takes it from you and puts you in a different situation, trust me, your life

(01:58):
would be better.
So don't be afraid to change.
And I'll tell you, I'm the perfect person to tell you, I moved from five different areas
of nursing before I finally found my fit.
But if I would have just stayed and settled, I would have been miserable.
And for the first time I can say I'm actually excited for where I'm going since I joined,

(02:21):
once I got into nursing.
I'm actually excited for what the next five, 10, 15 years bring.
