We're joined by genderqueer trans Jew and multi-hyphenate, Dubbs Weinblatt (they/them)! Dubbs grew up in Ohio and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY and is an established writer, producer, podcaster and activist. They spent 5 years as an Associate Director of Education and Training for an organization called Keshet (Rainbow in Hebrew), a national organization that works for the full equality of all LGBTQ+ Jews and their families in Jewish life.
Dubbs opens up about their mental health, gender and sexuality, Judaism and the intersectionality of these subjects and how they influenced their career pathways to the present day. They are the creator of Thank you for Coming Out, which began as a stand up comedy production and evolved into a queer improv show, which took the audiences coming out stories and actors would improv them live on stage!
Thank You for Coming Out is also a podcast (link below) and will become a book in the very near future. In partnership with the International Human Rights Arts Festival (IHRAF), Dubbs is inviting community members to submit their coming out/coming-into-self stories for a chance to be part of this book (anthology of essays). The book will be curated to celebrate writers of all different LGBQTIA+ identities, journeys and writing experience levels.

On Purpose with Jay Shetty
I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
