Thomas Lion on Storytelling, Writing, and the Power of Real Emotion | 1,640

Thomas Lion believes the most compelling stories are grounded in real emotion, unforgettable characters, and the places that shape who we become.

A Pacific Northwest author, Thomas brings together emotional realism, regional history, and character-driven storytelling across multiple genres. His writing explores the complexities of human experience through stories shaped by resilience, identity, relationships, and the unexpected turns that define a life.

His memoir, American Fugitive, gained significant attention and was previously optioned by a major film studio, demonstrating the cinematic potential of his storytelling. Today, Thomas continues expanding his body of work with Osprey Gold, a contemporary fiction novel earning strong reviews from readers and critics from Seattle to Los Angeles.

Whether drawing from lived experience or creating fictional worlds, Thomas approaches storytelling with a focus on authenticity and characters readers can genuinely connect with. His work reflects a writer interested not simply in what happens to people, but in how those experiences change them.

Thomas lives on a mountain in the Pacific Northwest with his Kiwi wife, Irish Setter Rory, and their lynx kit, Mr. Frodo, surrounded by the landscape and character that continue to influence his creative work.

His message is simple: the stories that stay with us are the ones that reveal something honest about what it means to be human.
