Speaker 1 (00:00):
And you're going to
tell them you want gems.
G-e-m-s.
This is short, 30 second clipsfrom the interview that you can
share in isolation on yoursocial media platforms, and he's
going to send you back about 40pieces of those 30 second gems.
I don't want my work to bestuck behind an academic paywall
(00:35):
.
I want to leave a legacy, Iwant to reach my potential and I
want to change lives.
This podcast, power yourResearch, is my attempt to help
the smartest people in the worlddo that very thing.
My hope is that you use thelessons I share to make more
money than what your higher edjob can ever pay you.
I've done it, my clients havedone it, and so can you.
(00:57):
My hope is that you'll applywhat you learn here and one day
join the Power your Researchprogram, where you can work with
me one-on-one how to get 40pieces of social media content
in one hour.
And this is what I teach myclients inside the Power your
(01:20):
Research program.
One of the things they strugglewith is being consistent on
social media, and if you are notconsistent on social media, the
algorithm will push yourcontent down.
It won't show it to anybody.
It wants you to keep using it,and if you're building a brand,
increasing your visibility andauthority and making money, you
have to be posting on socialmedia consistently, whatever the
(01:43):
platform is of your choice.
You don't need to be on all ofthem, but you need to be on a
couple of them and you need todo it well.
One of the things my clientsstruggle with the most is being
consistent in getting thosepieces of content, having
something to share, two, threetimes a day, every day, 365 days
a year.
I wanna teach you one trick forhow to get 40 pieces of social
(02:05):
media content in one hour.
So I get asked a lot to dopodcasts.
Most of the time I say no, butif someone asked me to do a
podcast and I can come in personand they're going to give me
the video and audio of thepodcast, I'll say yes.
So the entire video and audioof the podcast Now.
(02:26):
Also, I'll say yes if they'regoing to be able to do a virtual
interview and they're gonna beable to give me clear video and
audio of the one hour interview,45 minute interview, and the
reason for this is because youcan get 40 pieces of content
just from having a conversationwith someone.
Hey, everyone, real quick.
I don't run any ads on thispodcast, so I have to rely on
(02:50):
word of mouth.
If this podcast has helped youin any way, please share it with
a friend and follow me, drSheena Howard, on LinkedIn,
where I give more free contenton building your brand as an
academic.
If you tell me you came to myLinkedIn from the podcast, I'll
make sure I accept your request.
The way that you do this, youshow up, you do the podcast.
(03:12):
Rather, if it's virtual or inperson, you do the podcast.
They're going to give you thevideo and audio.
You're going to send it for 70bucks to an editor the people in
the Power, your Researchprogram.
I send them to my editor 70bucks, maybe cheaper, depending
on if my editor's being nice andyou're going to tell them you
want gems.
(03:33):
G-e-m-s.
This is short, 30 second clipsfrom the interview that you can
share in isolation on yoursocial media platforms, and he's
going to send you back about 40pieces of those 30 second gems,
and so what you're going to doand he'll give you different
(03:53):
sizes, so it could be a 20second gem, a 30 second gem, a
one minute gem, 45 seconds.
Right, he'll mix it up.
Now you have all these pieces ofcontent and from.
All you have to do is scheduleit out on like a Hootsuite
platform or use Instagram'sscheduling content function.
You're going to schedule it out, spend one or two hours
(04:13):
scheduling it out and set it andlet it, and now you have 40
pieces of content.
And it was actually fun becauseyou've got to just spend 45
minutes to an hour talking tosomebody about who you are, what
you do.
So it's a win-win and you couldjust kind of do that for the
entire year.
Do a podcast every couple ofmonths.
(04:33):
It's super easy and it works.
So I hope this helps.
If you have any questions, letme know.
One of the biggest things I seemy clients struggle with is
being consistent.
This is one super easy way tobe consistent.
Now, if you want to learn moreways to build your visibility
and authority, take the five-daychallenge or jump on a
(04:55):
30-minute call with me.
We can talk about building yourbrand and monetizing and all
that good stuff.
Thank you.
