This week, Chanel and Kelsi discuss their experiences with yoga and meditation. The pair are joined by Arianna Elizabeth, yoga instructor and owner of Bright and Salted Yoga. She shares the benefits of traditional yoga from a faith-based and BIPOC perspective.
MORE ABOUT ARIANNA ELIZABETH:
Arianna Elizabeth, founder, and owner of Bright and Salted Yoga LLC, is an ERYT-200, RYT-500, YACEP, certified yoga sculpt instructor, certified indoor cycling Instructor, and professional photographer (BFA/MFA) whose mission is to create a safe and comfortable space for all with a special emphasis on yogis that deeply consider their Christian backgrounds while on their mat, as well as positively representing the black yoga community.
With 6+ years of a personal practice and 5+ years of teaching experience, Arianna has taught hundreds of classes in both Atlanta and the Midwest and now offers a variety of online classes available to students all over the world. She believes in being able to respect, appreciate and enjoy the benefits on the yoga practice while simultaneously not feeling the pressure to sacrifice one’s own personal beliefs.
Through thoughtfully but creatively planned vinyasas and a blend of carefully selected music, she enjoys guiding her students, breath-to-movement, through their individual practices. She designs sequences that require minimal demonstration while still maintaining a mental and physical challenge. Modifications and/or variations of each asana are always available as each class is delivered in both English and Sanskrit. She strives to allow her students to experience liberation through their practices by offering asanas that build functional, intrinsic strength rather than just superficial strength, that will be used in their day to day lives.
