It’s time to deal with today’s celebration of International Casinos Day, held on May 15th, which happens to be the founding day of Las Vegas. Created by an online site, the day was intended honor the casinos and gambling halls of the world but not just for the slot machines and card tables; it was also to honor those behind the scenes that keep the buildings in order and the bets flowing across the table: the hosts, the dealers, security, housekeeping, maintenance, etc. It was mean to allow people to share their experiences within the casinos, at least in a positive way.
This week, we’re playing tracks from video game that feature casinos in some fashion: a blue hedgehog running through the neon lights, a wasteland made bearable with several casinos, and two gang members caught in a conflict. There’s also covers and remixes with these original tracks.
