SPEAKER_00 (00:35):
Hello and welcome
back to another episode of Real
Talk with Life After Grief,Chris.
Today's episode is going to be aunique one.
It's going to be on somemarketing stuff that I've
learned and picked up.
So, again, the spirit of thisseason is about the launch of my
first book.
This episode is going to bededicated all about the launch
(00:59):
and some of the things that I'velearned.
And in some later episodes, you're going to hear, in terms
of my experience as an author, that's kind of weird to say
Chris Dale, an author.
I'm actually pretty proud to saythat.
What I've learned is thatwriting a book is, in my
opinion, not necessarily thehardest part.
And I think for me, it's not thehardest part because I have a
(01:21):
passion and I have a lot ofexperience to kind of lay out.
And I wrote about all of thisexperience as, you know, part of
therapy over the last 10 plusyears, just getting stuff out of
my mind and clearing my mind.
And when I came to the point ofactually writing and kind of
completing the book, myresearch, one of the most
(01:43):
important aspects was this ideaof marketing and how you do
that.
And in my due diligence withsome publishing partners, it was
very apparent that there was astrong emphasis on marketing.
And I embraced that and Iallocated some specific
resources to do that.
And one of the resources, whichis pretty cool, it's all about
(02:05):
this thing.
It's called the launch.
In my layman terms, the launchis getting folks excited and
letting them know that you havethis book that's coming out.
And a lot of authors fear, youknow, telling a lot of people,
asking for them to write reviewsand, you know, giving some
(02:25):
feedback and, you know, being apart of the journey.
But what I found, and I wascoached through this, that a lot
of people want to be a part ofthe process.
A lot of people want to supportyou.
A lot of people want torecognize the good things that
you do.
And if anyone knows me, I'm notin this work to get recognition.
(02:48):
I'm in this work because Ireally have a passion for what
I've experienced and thelearning and the growth that
I've also experienced at myhands and also at the hands of
so many others that have helpedme through my journeys.
And to have other people want tosupport me in that journey is
simply amazing.
(03:08):
And I'm reading some of thenotes on some of the folks that
have already joined my launchteam.
You know, Chris is a greatperson to be able to write this
book.
Chris is a great person to beable to get a message out here.
Chris is a great representationon bringing light, on, you know,
(03:30):
really helping folks in griefand also helping to train the
folks that help them.
It's pretty cool to have people, you know, want to be part of
that and understand that.
So some of the formalities ofthe launch, so to speak, is this
ability to be able to join mylaunch team early on.
And so I started this process uhprobably two or three weeks ago.
(03:53):
And today is February 5th orFebruary 6th.
And my launch party is going tobe on Wednesday, April 29th.
I have a runway up to thatpoint, you know, getting some
energy behind it, gathering alot more interest than I
initially thought, a tremendousamount more.
So I had to prepare for that.
(04:14):
And then there is a specifictraining that I'm going to be
doing that is for only members, special members that have joined
the tr the launch team.
And it's called Being PresentWhen It Matters Most.
And this isn't a training likeno other.
I can pretty much guaranteethat.
(04:36):
And it's based on personal andprofessional experience and
helping a client through stagesof life and then even to their
last days.
And what that looks like, you'llhear someone that was intimately
involved in the process inregards to someone that was
(04:58):
close to a client of mine andthat this impacted them in a
very, very positive way.
You'll also hear a resource thatI learned about after this
experience that I had with thisclient.
So a lot of good information isjust really cool.
So I'll have an advanced readercopy for people that are going
to be part of my launch as well, and some other perks that will
(05:22):
be offered uh during theprocess.
This is fun for me.
I I am I feel like I'm kind ofin a groove now.
Things are kind of rolling whereI've been through so much
tragedy and trauma.
And I can look back with kindeyes on myself, you know, say
that you've been through a lotof stuff, but you were on to
life after grief.
So hence the name of my company.
(05:43):
The question's been asked how doyou join my launch team?
And the answer is if you'relistening to this podcast, you
can go to my consulting site, which is called
lifeaftergriefconsulting.comforward slash launch team.
This information will be in thenotes.
Again, it's lifeaftergriefconsulting.com forward
slash launch team.
(06:04):
Here you're going to getinformation in terms of how to
be on the launch team and howyou can get access to an
advanced reader copy, how youcan leave a review.
That's how I make myself better.
And I'm really excited aboutthis process.
And the folks that are around meare excited about this process.
(06:25):
I never would have thought in amillion years a kid in college
who didn't like to read comingto the point where I can say
proudly that I am well read now,and to the point where I've
actually just coming uponwriting my first book.
Man, that that's that's prettycool stuff.
(06:46):
I hope you're able to join theLaLaunch team.
Look forward to it.
Look forward to comments aswell.
And if you like this episode, please feel free to pass this
one on to any friends, familymembers, or colleagues.
