(00:36):
We would absolutely love tohear from you.
But let's go over to Matthew, chapter 28, and we're going to
be looking at the last fewverses of this book and we're
going to be here for the nextfew broadcasts, because the Lord
says a whole lot that he wantsus to hear today in what he says
to the 11 disciples during thisinteraction.
So let's start Matthew, chapter28, verse 16, and we will read
(01:00):
through the end of the book.
Then the eleven disciples wentaway into Galilee, into a
mountain where Jesus hadappointed them, and when they
saw him, they worshipped him.
But some doubted.
And Jesus came and spake untothem, saying All power is given
unto me in heaven and in earth.
(01:20):
Go ye, therefore, and teach allnations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and the Sonand of the Holy Ghost, teaching
them to observe all thingswhatsoever.
I have commanded you and lo, Iam with you always, even unto
the end of the world.
Amen, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah the words of Jesus,
(01:40):
and what we are getting here isa very, very close, personal
time of interaction betweenJesus and these 11 disciples,
and it's really, reallyinteresting.
They go up into Galilee, theygo into Galilee and they go to
this mountain where Jesus hadappointed them, and when they
saw him, and glory, amen andhallelujah, they saw him.
(02:04):
This is after Jesus wascrucified, this is after Jesus
died, this is after Jesus roseagain from the dead.
And so they are seeing him, they are interacting with him,
they are speaking with him, theyare witnessing him, with him,
(02:28):
they are witnessing him.
I mean, he's right there infront of them and they're having
this interaction.
And, folks, this is an absolutemiracle, because Jesus had died
and Jesus had been buried andJesus had been in the tomb for
three days and glory, amen andhallelujah, jesus came up out of
the grave.
And that is a precious, precious, precious thing, and
that is an amazing thing, thatis a gracious thing and that is
(02:50):
a glorious thing that thesepeople are able to see Jesus and
have this interaction and theysee him, they worship him and,
at the same time, scripturerecords some doubted, so they
worshiped him, but some doubted, and the glorious thing is that
(03:11):
Jesus came and Jesus spake tothem.
Jesus came and spake in themiddle of the worship.
And Jesus came and he spake tothose who were doubting at the
same time.
And that's a precious thing, myfriend, because he speaks to
worshipers today and he speaksto doubters today, and the
glorious thing is that Jesusstill speaks.
(03:31):
He speaks to the church and hespeaks to the world.
He speaks to people whosincerely love him, who
sincerely follow him, whosincerely obey him and who
sincerely yeah, just have thisglorious, glorious, glorious
relationship with him.
Jesus speaks to them and Jesusalso speaks to those who doubt.
(03:52):
Jesus speaks to those who arein their pride.
Jesus speaks to those who arein their fear.
Jesus speaks to those who arein their lust and Jesus speaks,
my friend, jesus speaks andJesus speaks.
And to these, immediately, tothese 11, now you've got this
mixture of worship and you'vegot this doubting going on at
(04:13):
the same time.
And Jesus came and he spoke tothe entire group.
He came and he spoke to all 11of these people as they were up
in this mountain.
And this is how he leads off.
He says all power is given untome in heaven and in earth, all
power.
And, my friend, that is acreation-wide authority, a
(04:37):
creation-wide authority.
This is the King of kings, thisis the Lord of lords of kings.
This is the Lord of lords.
This is the Son of God.
This is the Lamb who was slainand he shed his blood and he is
risen again.
This is Jesus Christ and he hasall authority, all power in the
(04:58):
heaven and in the earth.
And this is how he leads off tothis group of 11 men and in the
earth.
And this is how he leads off tothis group of 11 men.
He announces that all authorityis given unto him, that he is
the King of kings, he is theLord of lords and he has
received this authority, allauthority in the heaven, all
(05:20):
authority in the earth.
And, my friend, that is a greatsource of joy, that is a great
source of confidence, that is agreat source of peace, that is a
great source of comfort forthose who have submitted
themselves to Jesus now, a greatsource of joy, a great source
of confidence that the Lord, that you are with, the Lord,
(05:41):
that you are in the Lord, wholoves you, and you love him in
return.
He is the King of Kings andtoday, this very hour, this very
moment, all power is given untohim in heaven and earth, and
you are washed by his blood.
Your sin is forgiven, you arereconciled to him.
(06:03):
You are filled with the HolyGhost.
You are in relationship withhim.
You are reconciled to him.
You are filled with the HolyGhost.
You are in relationship withhim.
You are in fellowship with him.
He is leading you and you arefollowing him.
You are trusting him, you areobeying him.
You are walking with him.
You are talking with him.
You are praying to him, andglory be to God.
He is hearing those prayers, heis answering those prayers.
He is moving in your life.
He is moving in the peopleyou're praying for.
(06:25):
He is moving in the situationsthat you're praying about.
He is moving to meet the needsthat he knows that you have.
He is moving to make provision.
He is moving to complete thegood work that he has begun in
you.
He is moving to bear fruit inyou.
He is moving to use you toreach other people with the
gospel.
He is moving to use you to helppeople get saved.
(06:53):
Glory, hallelujah and amen.
He is moving to use you toimpact this world and he is
moving to use you to preach hisword so that all men might know,
all women might know, allchildren might know that there
is a God.
He is alive today.
He is moving today.
He is loving today.
He is King today.
He is Lord today.
He is Jesus today.
He is the same yesterday, todayand forever.
(07:16):
And he is interacting with thisworld and he is speaking to this
world and he is merciful tothis world and he is moving in
this world and he is merciful tothis world and he is moving in
this world and he is gracious,he is.
He's got goodness out, he's gotmercy out.
He is following people around.
Bless god and amen.
Goodness and mercy.
They are following you all ofthe days of your life and, my
(07:38):
friend um, they bring you to hisgrace, they bring you to his
peace, they bring you to hiscomfort.
They bring you to his grace, they bring you to his peace,
they bring you to his comfort, they bring you to his joy, they
bring you to all the good fruitsof the Holy Ghost, because they
bring you back to Jesus and allpower is given unto him in
heaven and in earth.
This is how he leads off and, myfriend, there is a love
(08:00):
relationship.
There is a glorious thing.
There is a great amount ofsecurity, there's a great amount
of peace in knowing that theLord that you love is a king.
The Lord that you love is anauthority.
He's not just a king, he's justnot an authority.
(08:20):
He is the king above all kings,he is the authority above all
others and, my friend, it's allpower in heaven and in earth.
His word is trustworthy becausehe is trustworthy.
His word is true because he istrue.
His word is faithful because heis faithful.
(08:41):
He is perfect in every singleway.
He is our great high priest.
I was just reading that thismorning.
Glory and hallelujah, he is ourgreat high priest.
I was just reading that thismorning.
Glory and hallelujah, he is ourgreat high priest and he knows
you and he loves you and hecares for you and he ministers
to you and he sustains you andhe counsels you and he comforts
(09:05):
you and bless God, he is goingto see it through the good work
that he began in every singlemember of his church, every
single man, woman and child whois filled with the Holy Ghost,
every single man, woman andchild who is washed in the blood
.
He has begun a good work in youand bless God, amen, glory and
(09:28):
hallelujah.
He is going to see that workthrough to completion, because
all power is given unto him inheaven and earth.
And that's the kind of God heis.
He's not a God who goes back onhis word.
He's not a God who says onething and does another.
He's not a God who says onething and does another.
He's not a God who forgets asingle promise that he ever made
(09:51):
to you or to anybody else.
He's that kind of Lord, he'sthat kind of King, he's that
kind of God.
And bless God and amen.
He is good to those who obeyhim today, and even those who do
not obey him today, even thosewho resist him today, even those
who hate him today, even thosewho rebel against him today,
(10:15):
even those who accuse him today, even those who twist his word
today, even those who do notobey him today, they have the
opportunity and, my friend, ifyou're in that number and you're
listening to this broadcast, you have an opportunity to obey
Jesus.
You have an opportunity tosubmit yourself to Jesus.
(10:38):
You have an opportunity toyield to Jesus.
You have an opportunity tobelieve Jesus.
You have an opportunity to callupon the name of Jesus.
You have an opportunity to besaved from the wrath of God.
You have an opportunity to callupon the name of Jesus.
You have an opportunity to besaved from the wrath of God.
You have an opportunity to beborn again.
You have an opportunity to getyour sin forgiven.
You have an opportunity to befilled with the Holy Ghost.
(10:58):
You have an opportunity becauseJesus is speaking to you today
and he's saying all power isgiven unto me in heaven and on
earth.
And bless God that'll ministerto a disciple.
Bless God that'll minister tothe church.
Bless God.
That will encourage the church, that will edify the church,
that will lift up the church, that will give the church
(11:20):
something to praise God about, something to be thankful for,
something to pray about, something to minister in,
something to move forward in.
That'll give the church anoccasion to have repentance, an
occasion to have fruitfulness,an occasion to have revival,
because the head of the church, jesus Christ himself and
(11:42):
scripture tells us he is thehead of the church, scripture
tells us he is the husband ofthe church and the church is his
bride and all power is givenunto him in heaven and on earth.
But even if you're not a memberof the church today, even if you
hate Jesus today, even if youresist Jesus today, even if you
mock Jesus today, even if youridicule Jesus today, even if
(12:04):
you accuse Jesus today, even ifyou accuse him and you hate his
church, oh, bless God, he stillspeaks to you Because the Lord
is merciful, because the Lordloves you, because the Lord
cares about you, even in themidst of your anger, even in the
midst of your hatred, even inthe midst of your fornication,
even in the midst of yourdrunkenness.
(12:25):
This same Jesus, who is king ofall kings, he is love and he
loves you and he knows you andhe ministers to you and he
showers you with mercy.
And you don't believe me thathe showers you with mercy.
Well, bless God, you're stillliving.
Bless God, you're stillbreathing.
Bless God, your heart is stillbeating.
Bless God, you still have theability to listen and the
(12:50):
ability to hear Jesus.
And, bless God, he's stilldrawing you today.
He is slow to anger.
Amen and hallelujah.
He is rich in mercy.
Amen and hallelujah.
And that's towards you today, nomatter what kind of sin you've
done, no matter what sin you'rein, no matter what kind of sin
that you are planning to do, heis with you today.
(13:10):
He knows about your heart, heknows about your mind, he knows
about your sin, he knows aboutyour wickedness.
He knows about all of that andyet he still speaks to you.
And he doesn't speak to you todestroy you.
See, he's speaking as a king,he's speaking as lord and he is
not speaking to destroy you.
(13:34):
If he was speaking to destroyyou, you would be destroyed
already.
If he was speaking to kill you, you'd be dead already.
If he was speaking to wipe youout, you'd be wiped out already,
because scripture tells us amenand hallelujah when his wrath
moves just a little bit, when hespeaks to you in his wrath,
(13:57):
just a little bit, nobody canwithstand that.
Nobody can withstand that.
So he has a wrath, yes, he hasa wrath of God, and hell is a
very, very real place.
My friend, I got to tell youthat today there is a real wrath
and there is a real hell.
And yet, if you're listening tothis today as a lost person,
you're listening to this todayas someone who doesn't like
(14:18):
Jesus doesn't want anything todo with him.
You're listening to this todayas someone who has heard this
before.
And you've rejected and you'vegone your way and you've had
your sin and you've rejected andyou've gone your way and you've
had your sin and you're livingin your sin and you're breathing
in your sin and you're movingin your sin and you're pursuing
your sin.
I'm here to tell you today thathe still loves you.
I'm here to tell you today thatthat wrath has not yet fallen
(14:44):
on your head, that wrath has notyet been poured out on you,
because when he speaks to youjust a little bit in his wrath,
there's none of us that canwithstand that, my friend.
But today he's speaking to youas a king, because he is a king.
He's speaking to you as asavior, because he is a savior.
(15:05):
He's speaking to you as thetruth, because he is the way,
the truth and the life.
He's speaking to you as thelamb who was slain and risen
again because, hallelujah andamen.
God put all of your sin ontohim and he put himself in your
place.
He put all of your sin on Jesusand Jesus Christ himself took
(15:29):
all of your sin upon himself andhe did it willingly, and
scripture tells us that no mantook his life from him, but he
laid it down.
He laid it down because thefather wanted a way to be
reconciled with you.
He wanted a way for your sin tobe forgiven and your sin to be
forgotten and your sin to becast into a sea of forgetfulness
(15:51):
, and for you to be separatedfrom your sin as far as east is
from the west.
He made a way for you to beadopted into his family.
He made a way for you to becomeone of his sons and one of his
daughters.
He made a way for you to beforgiven and to be set free from
the sin that is dragging youfurther and further into death.
(16:14):
And, my friend, if you're notset free from it, my friend, if
you keep on going with it, youare going to end up in the
devil's hell.
The wages of sin is death, myfriend.
The payment that you can expectto receive from your sin is
nothing but death.
But the gift of God to youtoday, the gift of God to
(16:35):
whosoever will believe him today, the gift of God to the worst
sinner among us today, iseternal life through Jesus
Christ, our Lord.
That's the kind of God he is,that's the kind of king he is,
that's the kind of authority heis.
He's the kind of king who isgood to his enemies, he shows
(16:58):
kindness to his enemies.
He's not just nice to hisenemies, but he shows kindness
to his enemies and he shows loveto his enemies.
And he shows love to hisenemies because who would die to
make an enemy into a friend?
Who among us, some among us andthe book of Romans tells us this
some among us would die for agood person.
(17:19):
We would die so that they couldlive.
But Jesus Christ died so thatthe worst of us, jesus Christ
died so that the murderer, jesusChrist died.
So that the thief, jesus Christdied.
So that the liar, Jesus Christdied.
So that the adulterer, jesusChrist died.
(17:40):
So that the drunk Jesus Christdied.
So that the addict, jesusChrist died.
So that the drunk Jesus Christdied.
So that the addict, jesusChrist died.
So that the blasphemer, jesusChrist died.
So that the idol worshiper, jesus Christ died, so that his
enemies could be forgiven.
Jesus Christ died so that hisenemies could be made into his
(18:02):
friends, enemies could be madeinto his friends.
Jesus Christ died so that youcould be reconciled to him and
that your sin would be dealtwith in a way that doesn't
involve your eternal damnationin hell.
Instead, god would be faithfuland just to forgive you because
you trusted in Jesus.
(18:23):
To forgive you because youtrusted in Jesus.
Jesus already died your death.
Jesus already took the wrath ofGod.
Jesus already died your deathand glory.
Hallelujah.
He's alive today and he isdrawing you today and he's
saying come unto me today.
Come up out of your sin today.
Come up out of your death today.
Come up out of your lies andyour drunkenness and your
(18:44):
fornications.
Come up out of your hatred.
Come up out of your anger.
Come up out of your lies andyour drunkenness and your
fornications.
Come up out of your hatred.
Come up out of your anger.
Come up out of your blame.
Come up out of your pride andcome up and be saved.
Come up and be born again.
Come up and be reconciled.
Come up and receive eternallife.
Come up and receive a neweternal life that begins now and
(19:04):
stretches all the way intoeternity.
My friend, but will you obey himtoday?
And, my friend, I need to tellyou this even if you refuse him
today, there will come a daywhere you will have to obey him,
because he has appointed a dayin which he will judge this
world in righteousness.
And on that final day, myfriend, even if you go through
(19:27):
this life raging against Jesus, even if you go through this life
proud against Jesus, even ifyou go through this life
resisting Jesus until your lastbreath, there will come a day
when every tongue will bow, every knee will bow and every
tongue will confess that JesusChrist is Lord to the glory of
God, the Father, even yours.
(19:49):
But, my friend, I don't wantyou to see that judgment.
I don't want you to see thatday.
I want you and hallelujah amen, the Lord himself wants you now.
Will you bow before him today?
Will you bow before him today?
Will you willingly submityourself to Jesus today and call
(20:10):
upon Jesus as a humble, broken, contrite, sinner?
And hallelujah, today you knowyou call upon Jesus and he is
faithful and he is just toforgive you.
You call upon Jesus and man,you may go to the floor as a
sinner, but you rise up again asa saint, born again, forgiven
(20:31):
and free from your sin, filledwith the Holy Ghost, given a new
living spirit.
And hallelujah amen.
Given a new and eternal life, and I pray that that's you today
.
