Welcome to "Reimagining Our Faith" with Dr. Kevin Head.
Today’s reflection, based on 1 Timothy 6:8–10, turns our attention to the subtle and often hidden vice of greed. Dr. Head reminds us that greed isn’t just about money—it’s about a deeper hunger that only God can truly satisfy. While it’s easy to spot in others, recognizing it in ourselves requires honesty and grace. The invitation today is to shift from grasping to gratitude, trusting that in God, we have enough.

Reflection Questions:

  • Greed is often easier to see in another person rather than in our own lives. Do you agree? Why or why not?
  • Dr. Head says that “greed masks a deeper hunger only God can satisfy.” Can you think of something you have a deep hunger for in your life? Have you asked God for help with it?
  • Greed is a complicated vice, but the antidote is about appreciation. Name three things in your life today that you appreciate (physical or spiritual). Why do you appreciate them? How are you enough because of these things? Give thanks to God for the “enoughness” that is provided to you.
