Why Some Records Stick and Others Don’t | Episode 7

What makes a record stay in your head after the music stops?

DJ Karyen is back with DJ CZE, DJ Blaster and DJ Judgement in Episode 7 for ten anonymous Soca, Dancehall and Reggae submissions and another round of unfiltered DJ feedback.

The panel gets into memorability from every angle: the value of a strong chorus, lyrics that try to do too much, production that creates expectations, originality, simplicity and those moments when a record sounds promising but still does not fully connect.

No artist identities are revealed until after the DJs have listened, discussed and voted.

Which records stick, and which ones earn a RekHeard Break?

If we rate it, we’ll play it!
