We are in the Advent Biblereading.
We're on day 19.
Today we'll be in John chapter1, verses 1 through 14.

My surprise for the day is notLauren.
My surprise for the day is notAshton, and it's definitely not

Today we have who do we have?

Elena.
I I forgot her name for a half asecond.
Can you believe that?
I've only known her for twoyears.
Elena, are you excited?

SPEAKER_01 (01:10):
I am.

SPEAKER_00 (01:10):
Good.
Well, go ahead.

SPEAKER_01 (01:12):
In the beginning, the word already existed.
The word was with God, and theword was God.
He existed in the beginning withGod.
God created everything throughhim, and nothing was created
except through him.
The word gave life to everythingthat was created, and his life
brought light to everyone.
The light shines in thedarkness, and the darkness can

(01:34):
never extinguish it.
God sent a man, John theBaptist, to tell everyone about
the light, so that everyonemight believe because of his
testimony.
John himself was not the light.
He was simply a witness to tellabout the light.
The one who is the true light,who gives light to everyone, was
coming into the world.

(01:55):
He came into the very world hecreated, but the world did not
recognize him.
He came to his own people, andeven they rejected him.
But to all who believed him andaccepted him, he gave the right
to become children of God.
They are reborn, not withphysical birth, resulting from
human passion or plan, but at abirth that comes from God.

(02:15):
So the word became human andmade his home among us.
He was full of unfailing loveand faithfulness, and we have
seen his glory, the glory of theFather's one and only Son.
