Speaker 3 (00:21):
The Nation with America with your host, Rich Valdez.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
What's up, America. I am Rich Valdez Valdez with an
s at Rich valdesk on all of the social media.
Welcome to This is America, seventeen blocks away from Madison
Square Garden here in New York City. Happy and blessed
to be here with you. Eight seven seven VALDESZ one
is our phone number, eight seven seven valdes one if
you want to join our late night national town hall conversation.
(00:56):
And I want to jump into a few different things tonight.
One of the things I want to get to is
obviously President Trump facing some challenges in the Supreme Court. Yes,
that was a big deal, right, very big deal with
the Supreme Court because obviously they're Hayten Hayten Hayten on
El Trompito, then all this magnus to forty fifth and
(01:17):
forty seventh president of these United States. So if you
want to weigh in on that, it's always a blessing
to speak with each and every one of you. Give
me a call. Eight seven seven Baldes one, eight seven
seven Valdes one. And you know, today we're kind of
kicking off the show with some headlines that would really
make you wonder if Washington, DC, aka the Swamp actually
(01:39):
has like a secret comedy writer on their payroll, because
the stuff that comes out of the swamp is bananas. Anyway,
I mean, he goes it's Friday, February twenty at twenty
twenty six. The news cycle is spinning faster than liberals
trying to explain away inflation. And there's still some of
that out there. But let's dive in, Charlly. Why well,
because if we don't laugh at this stuff, we will
(02:00):
end up mad, very mad, and crying into our cafecito.
You know, you know, you know how that goes. Anyway,
I want to get into a few different things. First up,
we got the Supreme Court. Now the Supreme Court. You know,
I'm no legal scholar, but it seems like they did
something political here, right, and whenever they do some political
legal well, in the name of not being political, we're
going to say that we don't want to weigh in
(02:21):
on this. Now they weighed in on it's saying that
some aspect of what Trump was doing was outside of
his authority, overstepping his emergency powers. Okay, So in this
six' three, decision they basically told ed trumpeto not so.
Fast but Does trump back? Down no? Way, Right he
turns around and signs a new ten percent global tariff
(02:41):
faster than you could say trade. War why because he's
out there calling these justices fools and they're a disgrace
and they ARE i, mean come, on EVEN i think
the conservative appointees here they jump ship on this. One
AND i don't know why they did. ON i think
they wanted to have it both, ways like they often
(03:03):
do in the, court or maybe there's something that they
want and they weren't. Getting but this is a big,
DEAL a big deal in the sense that you, know
It's trump losing a, battle but he's going to win the,
war right because presidents have this, authority and you, know
he put it very, clearly and we have the clip
AND i want to play it for, you But i'm
(03:23):
just not going to play for you. Now and he
makes it very. Clear, listen you're, SAYING i can't charge
a dollar in a, tariff BUT i can end all
commerce with the, country in effect destroying a. Country and
it makes a lot of. Sense So scotus is full of. Surprises,
ANYWAY i want to shift. GEARS i want to get
to something else that's got parents everywhere clutching their. Pearls why,
(03:46):
well social media. Addiction it's hitting the courtroom big. Time
we've got this landmark trial that's kicking off against the
big tech giants Like meta And, google accusing them deliberately
hooking kids on platforms to you, know mess with their mental.
Health ideal is what this case is Saying Mark zuckerberg.
(04:06):
Is they're leading his own defense in many. Ways right
there were his lawyers testifying saying that they didn't target
anybody under, Thirteen and ALL i could say is a
lot of kids under thirteen THAT i think are definitely.
Targeted And i'm not Saying meta is responsible for, this
But i'm saying this might be an unintended consequence of
what happens there and there's, plaintiffs you, know lining up
(04:28):
all over the place in order to get this thing.
Going so we're going to see how that. Goes but for,
years these companies denied that it was, happening AND i
think because they said that it wasn't, happening people became
more interested to see if there wasn't addictive. Design Now
i'm going to say, THIS i hope there's something THAT
i can do to get you addicted to my. SHOW
i would love, that, Right, so whatever it is they,
(04:50):
did kudos to, them. RIGHT i don't think it's there's
something wrong with trying to get your customers addicted to
what you. Do there's something wrong in trying to harm.
People AND i don't know if there's a, Harm AND
i guess that's what they're trying to, say that somehow
the social media addiction equates to a. HARM i don't.
KNOW i really don't. Know this sounds like a tough
(05:10):
one to. Me we have to make sure the kids are,
safe BUT i don't know that that comes at the
expense of social media. COMPANY i think parents have a
role in, this and parents have, to you, know step.
Up but maybe there's more of this THAN i. Know
About so we'll bring in some guests this week to
really talk about. It over the next few, days we're
going to talk about a lot of, things lots of different.
TOPICS i want to talk About iran right right, now
(05:31):
we got THE Uss General Gerald, ford excuse, me pushing,
up pushing up On. Iran people are whispering saying that
there might be military strikes if the talks With. IRAN
i think either, Way trump is moving in On iran
because he's not going to put all his military might
out there for. Nothing SO i don't, know but he
says zero uranium enrichment period, zero get, it, Nada so
(05:56):
they're saying diluted levels maybe, whatever this and. THAT i
think if they art with that stuff, again there's going
to be a problem with moving right back to the
good old maximum pressure, campaign but likely that campaign on.
Steroids SO i, say pray for, peace but prepare for the. Worst,
now another. Tragedy this one's straight Up lohuta in my,
opinion another heartbreaking mass, shooting this time in Tumblr, Ridge British, Columbia.
(06:20):
Canada an eighteen year old trans woman born, male dropped
out of school years, ago has mental health red flags
all over the place and police going, visiting you, know
because of these red. Flags, well this, person she allegedly
killed her mom and her, stepbrother then storms out of
(06:43):
her old high, school taking six kids and a teacher
out before offering. Herself this comes right after the one
that we just. Had the death toll was, nine including
the shooter shooting. Herself now people, say is it? Guns
is it licenses? Ownership they're not clear yet on where
the gun came. From but the real question is what's
(07:04):
going on, here? Right and of course the news is
going to try and blame the, parents saying it is
the parent's fault for being libertarians or being conservatives or.
Whatever but the fact that this is happening back to
back with The Rhode island, incident and this is ugly.
Right in the last, decade you've got a growing number
of mass shooters that actually identify as trans small, number
(07:26):
but a growing. Number and this dark trend it has
one thing in, common mental. Illness not there leftist, ideology
AND i think we have to put the focus on.
That but the left tries to bury the mental, illness
saying that, no, no, no you can't call trans people mentally.
Ill we have to focus on gun safety and eliminating.
Guns we have to stop politicizing people's pains and really
(07:50):
fix the root. Cause in my, opinion that's mental. Illness,
now that happened outside of our, borders but what's happening
at the. Border in addition to, that something called grocery. Tourism,
Right canadians used to come south to The United states
for cheaper food and different. Things now It's americans that
some of them are eyeing store shelves across the. Borders
(08:12):
listen to. This you got eggs prices that are, down
gas is, cheaper but obviously ground beef and your electric
bill are still. Up this, hurts, right it Hurts the
pocket turned some supermarkets into luxury. Boutiques so you Got
canadians now coming up and stop coming to The United.
States you got people in The United states going To
canada trying to get a. DEAL i know they're going
to get, one but it sounds like a socialist. Nightmare,
(08:35):
now speaking of, Socialists Zara, mamdani he, says, Look i'm
gonna have to raise, taxes but we're getting a, snowstorm
and because we're getting a, Snowstorm i'm going to allow
you to shovel FOR i think nineteen bucks an. Hour
anybody in the city who wants to, shovel they show,
Up he gives you to shovel and. Everything here's the.
Catch you gotta HAVE. Id you can vote with THAT,
(08:58):
id but you can't shovel and make nineteen bucks an.
Hour SO i think that's kind of. Crazy it's the
height of hypocrisy From democrats And Zara. Mundani they're willing
to pay you nineteen bucks an. Hour mind you you
need two forms OF, id two photos and Your Social
Security card VOTER. Id, nah don't worry about. That they
(09:18):
say that's. Suppression right, now they're. SUPPRESSING i guess if
you don't have, idea they're suppressing the nineteen bucks an.
Hour right it's Like Jim crow all over. Again will
call It Jim snow two point. Zero, anyway we'll see
what happens with the snowstorm and all that that's expected
over the. Weekend and the idea that you don't NEED
id to, vote but you do NEED id to shovel
(09:41):
is quite, frankly it's crazy to.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Me it's.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Ridiculous BUT i want to give an update on SOMETHING
i talked about a while. Back That Cash BETEL fbi
director was talking. About they had caught the seven sixty
four pedophile. Cult it's pure, evil, right and a judge
recently just shut down the ringleaders request to be. Free
this satanic guy who has an eighty year sentence right
now for child. Exploitation, now this guy's staring at eighty
(10:10):
years in. Jail he started this cult at fifteen years,
old grooming kids on, discord talking them into harming, themselves extorting,
them even getting them to kill. Themselves he's dealt With,
nazism devil, worship all sorts of crazy. Stuff so THE
feds are cracking. Down they've arrested people in THE us and.
Abroad that's how big this network has. Got but it's
still lurking online and it's not just, abuse it's straight
(10:33):
up terrorism aimed at collapsing. Society so kudos to THE
doj And Cash betel for getting these monsters behind bars
and continuing to purge this poison from our, society because
this is what's Hurting america when you go after our.
Kids that's the. Future. ANYWAY a lot of, stuff, right
(10:53):
that's just a Typical. Iceberg we got a lot going.
ON i want to. Tease this grocery tourism. THING i
want to talk about, that and we're going to do
a more maybe not, today but in the coming. Days
we're gonna do a little section on. That we're gonna
do a segment on social media and the addiction that
they claim is. There we're gonna talk About mamdani and
his double standard on, taxes Saying i'm not going to do.
(11:16):
This It's Kathy. Hochel she's the one that's gonna raise
your taxes and more on the seven sixty four pedophile.
Creeps that stuff is nuts and a lot. More because
why because, you, miamigos My Familia. America you guys deserve the, truth, unfiltered, unafraid,
unapologetic just the. Truth And i'm gonna give it to
you the only WAY i know how to do. It
(11:37):
Plus i'm gonna take some of your. Calls eight seven
Seven valdez one is the phone. Number we're gonna break
it all. Down plus there is so much more to.
Come straight, Ahead i've got the founder of The Florida
institute For Neural, discovery, psychotherapist Doctor Vince, callahan is joining
us next to discuss his new, Book freedom to, thrive
and he's gonna explain to us what the neurobiology of
(11:58):
hope looks like as. Well so right, here don't go.
Anywhere I'm. Richfelds this Is.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
America this Is.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
America what's Up?
Speaker 5 (12:32):
America welcome? Back as, Promised Doctor Vince callahan is with.
Us Doctor Vince callahan is one of my all time
favorites on this program because he's able to handle so many,
things not only, adeptly but truly with a heart of,
compassion which is you don't always see in the paraclet
counselors that are out. There Doctor vince is not only a,
(12:54):
practitioner but he's a scholar as, well writing numerous, books
including one that's coming up on a very interesting topic
of the neurobiology of. Hope can't wait to hear about.
That we'll talk about that in the second. Segment but right,
NOW i want to talk about something that's been digging at,
me and that is family. Separation people that, say you,
KNOW i don't want to talk to my parents, ANYMORE
(13:16):
i don't like my brother, ANYMORE i don't like my
family anymore because of whatever it could because Of. Trump
that's the latest, one but it could be. Whatever you,
know my parents didn't raise me, right they didn't teach me,
This they didn't teach me. That whatever the reason, is
people seem to be cutting off their parents left and.
RIGHT i want to get to the bottom of that
with Doctor Vince. Callahan he's also got a book on
menopause coming out In, march for men to learn how
(13:38):
to navigate, it for the women in their, lives and
for women to understand it all that much more, Effectively
Doctor Vince, Callahan, welcome, Sir.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Thank you so much for having. ME i love your
show AND i just appreciate being on with.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
You oh you, bet Thank you're very kind and Doctor.
VINCE i talked about this two months ago or six
weeks ago on the Podcast we WERE i was scrolling
through instace gram AS i do for my show, prep
AND i saw this very interesting video From Oprah, winfrey
of all, people and she had a number of psychotherapists on.
(14:11):
That we're talking about the importance or non importance of
tossing your family to the, side getting rid of your
loved ones if you don't like, them blaming them for,
something and there were three different takes on, it and
it was just fascinating to me that people were actually
going no contact on their. Family Doctor Vince, WELL i.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Can speak to this personally BECAUSE i have a son
who is almost, forty and about eight years, ago he
decided he didn't want me to be his dad any.
Longer and we didn't have an, argument we didn't have a.
Fight there was nothing THAT i knew of relationally. Wrong
he just made that. Decision and it's heartbreaking when that,
(14:55):
happens because you just you don't know what to. Do
and you, Know i've heard the sides of, well sometimes
if the parent is mentally, ill it's a good thing
to distinguish yourself and pull away because you don't want
that mental illness in your. Life, Well i'm not mentally,
ill SO i don't know where that logic would come,
from but just the fact that people are are it's
(15:18):
a trend where people are, saying, WELL i don't want
to be part of my family BECAUSE i want to
live my own life and develop my own. Truth and
that's just not good for. Us because we are made for.
Relationships we are made to be relational, people and we're
made to connect and we're made to go through stroubles.
Together that's what makes us a. Family it is doing
(15:40):
the good things and doing the bad things together and
working through those. Issues SO i remember a study that
was done with two groups of, chickens AND i use
this in my family work WHEN i talk to. Families
someone decided that they wanted to crack the shells of
(16:00):
chicks baby chicks so that they wouldn't have to struggle
to get out of the. Egg and then the other
group they didn't do anything with and ninety six percent
of the, chicks the baby chicks where they crack the,
shell the babies. Died. Wow one hundred percent of the
chicks that had to struggle to get through birth process all.
(16:22):
Lived and they formulated that people need a struggle in
life to achieve. Life and when you give everything to
your kids and when there's no struggle whatsoever and it's,
disconnected they usually have higher divorce, rate higher a drug addiction,
rate broken, Relationships their life just doesn't. Work they can't
(16:42):
get it together because there's not that struggle within that. Family.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
Wow, well you, know as a follow up to what
you were just talking, about talking about your your own
son that's going to be forty years, old doing this
very thing to You is this an example of of
the struggle you're talking, about? Right is this an exactble
of going? Through?
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Yes, well it's more productive in our lives when we
stay in the, moment so to, speak and we work
through those, struggles because when we, don't we just get,
Spoiled we get, entitled you, know BECAUSE i shouldn't have
to do that AND i don't deserve this AND i
shouldn't have to go through that. Process. Me, oh woe is,
(17:28):
me that's, Right and it's all about, me, me, me
instead of. Us and we're made to be us. People
we're not made to be a me. Society and we
see in our society what's happening with a followless. Society
we see people out there doing some really stupid things
because there's nobody telling them this is wrong and you
shouldn't be doing.
Speaker 5 (17:48):
It Doctor Vince callahan the author of many. Books he
is the founder of fi N D, florida The Florida
institute for Neuro. Discovery make sure you check them out,
online give them a fuck as. Well and Doctor, vince
this is a fascinating premise to. Me AND i didn't
know ahead of time that you had your own experience
(18:10):
with your own son like, That AND i could tell
YOU i had an argument with my daughter not that long,
ago and it was a similar. TOPIC i was, saying
life is so much better when you're in cruise, control
when the struggle is, gone and she was arguing, adamantly,
no you need the. Struggle this struggle is so. Important
AND i was, saying for what IF i could guide
(18:31):
you and tell you and help save you some of
the time and some of the scrapes THAT i had
to get on my, knee how does that not help?
You and, honestly at the, moment during the, MOMENT i,
thought Maybe i'm just being hard, headed and you, know
she's being hard, headed and we're just being stubborn, together
and that likely was. True but there was, also you,
(18:53):
know a time of reflection afterwards WHERE i, said you,
know there is a value and, struggle BECAUSE i had
a whole bunch of it coming, up and that's WHERE
i learned so much of the grit THAT i have
it's because of the, struggle and if you don't have,
it then you're kind of robbing your. Kid like you
talked about, earlier of those skills or the baby chicks
with the cracks you know the pre cracked. Shell it
(19:14):
puts you at a.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Disadvantage, absolutely and you're not to side with your, daughter
but she's right because she's, saying we need the struggles
to be who we. Are and look at, you look
at the success that you, have and look at where
you are in, life and you wouldn't be there if
you didn't struggle and fight to get. There one of
(19:37):
the greatest lessons my. Father he didn't teach me a
lot of, lessons but one of the greatest ones he
taught me was WHEN i went to. COLLEGE i had
earned enough money to pay for my first semester AND
i paid for my own. College but during that, SEMESTER
i got a letter from my dad and mom and
there was a check for twenty five dollars and the letter,
said congratulations on being in college or the first of the.
(19:59):
Family we can't help you stay in, college so if
you need a bus ticket, home here's the twenty five
dollars to get you, home or you can find a
way to stay in. COLLEGE i went to the financial laid.
OFFICE i found a way to clean toilets and do
work and stay in school and pay for my own. School,
(20:19):
now at the TIME i was so. Angry but you know,
WHAT i look back and that was probably one of
the greatest struggles in my.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
Life, yeah now you have a doctorate degree or a
big Famous siller.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
Practitioner, yes, Yes AND i was a kid in high
school that you wouldn't think would ever make it to
the doctoral. Level but you, Know god has a plan
and it's pretty cool when you get. There it's like
getting a gold medal in The. Olympics you, struggle and
you struggle and you, struggle then you finally get. There
and So i'm grateful for the education THAT i do.
Speaker 5 (20:52):
Have, yeah amen to, THAT i, mean he goes. Again
we're on with Doctor Vince callahan and he's got a
book coming out on. Menopause talk to us about this
book on. Menopause what's it called and what inspired you
to write a book about? Menopause And i'm just going
to preface this with SAYING i once worked for a
private school that did medical training and the head of
(21:15):
the medical assisting, department Doctor epstein was his, NAME a nice.
GUY i remember him explaining once about menopause to me
and explaining that he, said you, know in his, practice he,
said if a woman comes in and tells me that
she's going through menopause and the. Symptoms he, said you,
(21:36):
know there are many of those symptoms that literally clinically mimic, depression,
anxiety mental. Illness he, said it's not something where you
can just, go, oh it's just a bunch of hot.
Flashes he, said it's a lot more than. That it's
a pretty complicated. Thing then you got to do it
as a serious. Thing and that was WHEN i learned
(21:58):
that it wasn't just when are freaking out BECAUSE i
was a young man AND i was just, oh they
were having a bad, day and they got it's beyond.
That so that's my rudimentary understanding of. It talk to
me about you know why you decided to write this.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Book, WELL i wrote the first book is you know
we've talked about on your radio, Show freedom To, change
understanding and reshaping the stressed. Brain that's my, Pet. PEEVE
i love talking about stress in the. Brain but the
second book came about a doctor friend of. Mine approachman
said we need to WRITE i need to write a,
book BUT i need you to do it BECAUSE i
love how you. Write and SO i started digging into the. Whole,
(22:36):
oh thank. YOU i started digging into the subject of
menopause found out that only five percent of doctors are
actually trained in how to treat women who are in
perimenopause or. Menopause i've also learned the importance of estrogen
depletion and how hormone replacement therapy can change a woman's life.
(22:57):
Totally but WHAT i really found out was that men
don't have a clue how to navigate this with their
wives or their spouses or. Partners they don't know what
to do when the mental health symptoms show, up and
that's related to estra the. Depletion so the book is
Called freedom To Thrive Navigating Menopause. Journey it'll be out
(23:19):
By Kendall Hunt publishers in Mid, march and then IF
i don't if you don't, Mind i'll promote the third,
book Which i'm really excited. About this one's coming out
in the. Fall it's CALLED I have A tricycle and
it's on the neurobiology of. Hope and SO i wanted
to write a book of what happens in your brain
when you're actually feeling. Hope and this came about by
(23:41):
my little. Granddaughter we bought her a, tricycle and she
was writing it through our house and we would ask,
her do you need something to eat or something, drink
and she'd, SAY i have a. TRICYCLE i have a.
Tricycle so we adopted the fact that when you've got
something positive happening in your, life we call, IT i
have a. Tricycle and so That urobology Of hope is
going to be a really great, book motivational book to
(24:04):
help people really understand why they need hope and why
they need to release forgiveness to people that have hurt.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
Them let's pause right, there BECAUSE i want to dig
into forgiveness and hope and all that stuff BECAUSE i
think these are the things that are the crux of
so many people's. Problems and There i'm going to say,
simple not easy to deal, with but simple. Nature SO i, mean,
guys we're coming right back with Doctor Vince. Callahan he's
(24:31):
the founder of The Florida institute For Neural. Discovery he's
the author of two upcoming books this. YEAR i have A,
tricycle which is a book on the neurobiology of, hope
and this book Called freedom To. Thrive And i'm looking
forward to both of. THEM i don't THINK i have
to navigate too much menopause right. Now but you got
(24:52):
to have that stuff in your hip pocket for when
it goes around, right keep it locked right. Here It's
Rich valdez coming right.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Back this Is. America this Is.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
America the forty Fifth President Donald trump thinks it's an
honor to speak With Rich.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
Valdez the honor is all.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yours conservative talk with a dash of.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
Sofrito now Here's Rich, valdez.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
All Right, forbida welcome. Back It's Rich valdez keeping your company.
Tonight And i've got one of my favorites with. Us
Doctor Vince callahan is with. Us Doctor Vince callahan is
the author of an upcoming book CALLED I have A.
Tricycle and in the previous, segment he told us a
little bit about his granddaughter and how not a worry
in the world because she had a tricycle AND i love.
THAT i wish life for that simple and it ought
(25:57):
to be. Right let's break it. Down you granddaughter inspires
you because she has a, tricycle and there's hope in
all things because she's got this. Tricycle how does that
turn into a book that is going to appeal to the,
masses people that are dealing with family, separation people that
are dealing with all sorts of drama in their.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Lives Doctor, Vince, well the biggest thing THAT i see
in working with patients is that they carry unforgiveness in their,
life which turns into, bitterness which turns into health. Issues
they're all. Connected and SO i wanted to write a
book on hope and what happens in your brain when
you get, hope because there is a process in your
(26:37):
brain that's unleashed when you have. Hope and the good
news is that forgiveness let me give me go back
for a. Second stress is or bitterness or unforgiveness is
just like stress in your. Brain, okay so it's an.
Speaker 5 (26:53):
Attack it's an enemy effect that it has on.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
It it's the same. Effect so bitterness and unforgiveness have
the same effect in your. Brain is stress on your,
brain which change the size and function of the brain
and all those kind of things we've talked. About but
when you have, forgiveness you actually release dopamine in the,
brain which makes you feel. Good and people don't understand
because most people don't forgive somebody because they think it
(27:18):
doesn't hold them. Accountable IF i forgive you for hurting,
me that lets you off the, hook and SO i
don't want to do. That so Then i'm going to
harbor that unforgiveness in my, life not realizing what it's
doing to. Me SO i just wanted to write a
book on really what happens when you have hope and
why it's okay to walk in forgiveness and choose grace
(27:40):
on a daily basis so that your brain is functioning
at an optimal, level.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
You, know Doctor. VINCE i, recently given the shifting nature
of my work and my, Availability i've joined the men's
fellowship at my, church which meets at, night And i've
been wanting to do, this but because of my radio,
schedule it was very. Difficult it's been a. Blessing and
one of the things we were talking about the other
day was, how for too long and for too many,
people people tend to hold on to resentment and hold
(28:09):
on to, unorgiveness like the analogy drinking the poison hoping
that the other person will, die. RIGHT i think that's
one of the most apt ways of putting, it because
it truly is something that hurts you and the. Forgiveness
part of it is something that truly only helps you
and it sets you. Free it's got nothing to do
with the other. Person it's about you living, well you
not getting, sick you not getting, cancer and all these
(28:31):
other ailments THAT i have seen many studies that say
they're linked to unforgiveness and other types of things like.
That SO i tell us a little bit about that
and why people misconstrue. That is it just this accountability,
thing or is their pride to it or is it?
Ego what are your?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Thoughts, well the worst traumas are the ones that people
try to. FORGET i can't tell you how many TIMES
i work with patients and, SAY i don't even remember
my childhood because there's memory blanks because the trauma was
so severe they don't know what to do with. It
but not everybody's in that. Category some people just have
(29:06):
everyday things that happen to them that they just hold on,
to or they have a. LOSS i have a friend
right now who lost three friends last. Week two they,
died and he was mad At god for a, Minute
why did you take my? Friends? Yeah and that's if
you don't let that go, back can begin to eat at,
(29:26):
you and like you, said it relates to health issues
and all those kind of. Things bitterness is equal to
stress and stress.
Speaker 5 (29:35):
Kills bitterness is equal to stress and stress. Kills this
is why we bring Doctor Vince callahan, on folks for those, moments,
right those those tattooable. Moments bitterness is equal to. Stress
that would make a great. TATTOO i might get that. Somewhere,
yeah there you, Go there you. GO i have to
credit you somewhere on. That now we talk about the
(29:56):
neurobiology of hope in the. Book let's talk about how
hope wires the, brain or how it runs through the
wiring of the.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Brain so you have forty neurotransmitters that operate in your,
body and one of them is. Cortical that's the stress.
Hormone that is what happens when you feel.
Speaker 5 (30:18):
Attacked so one that makes you, fat, too, right.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
That's the one that makes it fat because you eat
all the carbs because you're stress. Eating, yeah because you
need the sugar for. Survival and so when stress comes
at your, brain it changes size and. Function, well guess
what when you're in bitterness and, unforgiveness if it's equal to,
stress which the research shows that it. Is now you're
changing the size and function of your, brain and you're
(30:42):
keeping cortsal in your brain all the, time and it's
dumping that. Cordsal so it's changing a whole. Life but
when you, forgive when you have hope in your, life
the one chemical that you do release is. Dopamine here's
the cool. Part dopamine can't live with Cortical you can't
have both of those in your brain at the same.
Time now cortsos in your it's an. Antidote cortersol's in your, body,
(31:06):
yes but you don't have that spite that you have during.
Stress and so you have this release of, dopamine which
gives you a sense of relief and you feel better
and now you're not dwelling on what happened to. You
you find freedom in the, neurotransmitters which changes your. Behavior
(31:27):
when your transmitters, change your behavior. Changes it's impossible for
it not to. Fascinating so it is. Fascinating it's. Simple
it takes fifteen seconds to release dopamine in your. Brain
it takes six seconds to peak, oxytocin which is what
happens when you get a hug or you connect with.
(31:49):
Somebody it takes fifteen minutes for cortersol to, peak it
takes three hours for it to go. Away who wants
to live that? Way so The neurobiology Of hope is
about very simply changing what's going on in your brain
and letting the natural dopamine an oxytocin be what you're
addicted to instead of addicted to.
Speaker 5 (32:09):
Unforgiveness outstanding. Folks, again check out Doctor Vince callahan's website
F i N d DASH fl dot, org find fl
dot Org Florida institute For Neural, discovery or you can
check out Doctor vince dot. Com he's got an amazing,
website lots of wonderful books and Doctor. VINCE i love
(32:31):
the premise of the, Book The neurobiology Of hope and
how that works, out and the notion OF i have a, tricycle,
right and it's these it's these, again these, things these
tattooable moments right THAT i think will really take with
us through. Life sometimes you can read a lot of,
scripture you can read a lot of, books you can
(32:52):
read a lot of. Everything but every now and again
you hear that good, quote that good saying that really
sticks with, you that you're able to apply in life
or use when. Necessary AND i think these are some
of those. Things, RIGHT i Doubt i'll ever forget the
SAYING i have a. Tricycle, Right i'm pretty Sure i'll
say it a few times myself and people won't know
What i'm talking about unless they know what we're talking.
(33:13):
About and it's these things THAT i think make a.
Difference so in keeping with with, that that line of,
inquiry of that line of, thinking what's your advice for
for somebody that, says you, know back to topic. One
they a young woman and her. Mom let's say it
(33:36):
was a single. Mom they grew. Up they were like
sisters because the life gave. Them but now that you
know they live and they're big and they're, adulting they're
at each other's. Throats they don't get. Along the, relationship
the mother daughter relationship they're realizing it was never, there,
Right or the father's son relationship that was never. There
(33:56):
dad was in jail and now he's back and he
wants to have a. Relationship these estranged, families AND i
see so many of. THEM i feel like this is,
epidemic is the Word i'm going to. Use i'm seeing
it more now Than i've ever seen it. Before there
was always, People, oh we haven't seen so and so
NOW i feel like every family has a black, sheep
(34:17):
every family has a person in the. Family it's, like,
oh they're not our family. Anymore they divorced, us they
cut us. Off how do we apply the principles of
having a tricycle or even having the freedom to thrive
in this family estrangement.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Situation, WELL i think it bawls down to having the
conversation that you've been. Avoiding and in that, CONVERSATION i,
mean man up or you, know you're both. Adults let's
figure out how to at least have a. Conversation and
in that, conversation there's two very simple questions to, ask
what's the issue and what do you? Need AND i
(34:58):
think the parent should take that role to simply say
to their, child their adult, child, look you know. WHAT
i love. YOU i know that you've decided to be
a strange for, me BUT i would really love to
figure out how to recreate this. Connection So i'm going
to ask you very, simply what's the? Issue what DID i?
Do what's the? Issue what do we need to? Resolve
(35:21):
and then when you talk about that a little. Bit
then the next question, is, well what do you need from?
Me what do you need to make this relationship? Work
and listen to what that adult child. Says don't defend,
it don't push it, away don't say, no that's not,
real that's not, right it's in your own weird. Thinking
don't do any of that. Stuff just simply ask what
(35:41):
do you need and then listen to their heart for
what they. Need and that's the beginning of.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Healing you, know Doctor Vince. Callahan As i'm listening to,
You i'm super thankful that you. KNOW i argue with
my kids Because i'm a pretty passionate. Guy but we
have a good relationship and they take my calls and
we still. Talk BUT i know that that's not the
case for a lot of, people AND i know that
that's got a weigh on, people, people especially people who
(36:08):
like their.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
Kids.
Speaker 5 (36:09):
RIGHT i know there's some people out there who don't
like the.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Kids.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
Right they might love, them but they're not always well like.
THEM i love my, KIDS i love hanging out with,
THEM i love being around. Them but these two, QUESTIONS
i think they're game. Changers, right you, know what is
the issue and what do you need BECAUSE i think
oftentimes these are deep rooted. Things right When i've talked
(36:33):
to people who tell me they don't talk to their.
Parents and the REASON i guess this comes to me
is Because i've been without parents Since i'm thirty nine years,
old and So i'm that guy that's like a traffic.
Cop you, know if you start bad mouthing your parents
and my, presence you're quickly going to get a lecture from,
me a loving. One But i'm going to tell you
about why you need to make good with your family
(36:54):
BECAUSE i don't have parents THAT i can fight with.
Anymore and you, know AND i tell, them let me
treasure your time with, them it goes away, quick blah blah.
Blah so when we get into these, things they're, like,
oh but you don't know what my parents, did or
you don't know you know what my mom did or
what my dad did or. Whatever and WHEN i start
to hear those things being in my, shoes it's very
(37:14):
easy for me to always almost write off what they're
saying Because i'm just, like how bad could it? Be
RIGHT i don't have them. ANYMORE i would love to
fight with my parents right, now, Absolutely SO i realize
that sometimes Maybe i'm not being understanding. Enough but some
of the things That i'm, told they didn't prepare them
(37:36):
well for. Life the egg scenario where were talking about
the chicks in the. Shells they felt like they gave
them too much and now they're losers and they're, LIKE
i don't know how to survive in life because they
didn't let me develop that grit over. Protection same, THING
i didn't develop street smarts because they sheltered my, life sibling.
Rivalry they were always doing for my, sister or my
(37:58):
sister was a drug, addict or my brother was special,
needs and some sort of. Jealousy these seem like the right,
questions BUT i don't know that they're willing to take
debait give us more context on getting to the issue
and asking them what they.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Need, WELL i think you, know first of, All i'm
going to tell you to go to a neutral, setting
because if you go somewhere in public to sit, down
you're going to argue, Less you're going to raise your voice.
Less so kind of get to let's go to a,
Restaurant let's let's tell a. Conversation right, witnesses absolutely, Absolutely
But i'm a big fan. Of AND i use this
(38:38):
with couples AND i use it with. Families everything breaks
down into two simple. Things there is an issue and
there's a. Need okay those. Two when you solve those two,
things you solved it. All and the one thing that
parents typically do when they start trying to have this
conversation with their adult child is if they get defensive
(39:00):
of well are you SAYING i wasn't a good? Parent
are you saying THAT i didn't do? Right and so
they get that defensive wall, up and now the, child you,
know we'll call a, child but the adult child seize
those walls AND i, say, well just forget. It it's.
Over i'm not going to take the. Time so one
of the things THAT i try and train my parents
to do is, look don't take this. Personally, yeah don't
(39:25):
look at what you didn't. Do focus on what you're
trying to restore in the, relationship, okay because restoration is
more important than rehashing the. Past the past is. Over
the past is. Over it. Happened you did what you,
did they did what they. Did it's. Over but now
(39:46):
let's put a pin in. It and the left of
the pen is the past and the right of the
pin is the. Future let's focus on the. Future what's
the issue and what's the, need and let's work to
resolve that and let the walls come down and let's
defensiveness goalway and just figure out how to talk heart to.
Heart the emotional connection is so important in a. Family
(40:10):
learn to connect the hearts together and get rid of
your own issues before you go into that conversation with
that adult.
Speaker 5 (40:18):
Child excellent, Advice Doctor Vince. Callahan you are a, gentleman a,
scholar and a. Patriot let everybody know where to find.
You where they go to get these. Books is there
a pre order? Website what do they got to? Do
let them.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Know, Well i'm going to be talking with a publisher
about a pre order website and that'll be getting ready
to set. Up LIKE i, said book number two will
be out in Mid. March it'll be In barnes And
noble And amazon and all those kind of. Things The
tricycle book will come out early, fall late, summer and
before then we'll have a website set up where you
(40:53):
can go to and put something out there for the
folks to start doing. It and when we get, closer
maybe you AND i can do another show and say
here it is and here we're ready to. Go they
can always reach me at Doctor vincecalahan dot. Com that's
our clinical. Website so we really have two websites right.
Now one's Doctor vincecalahan dot, com which is if they
(41:14):
want me or to book me to speak or to
book an appointment with. Me that's how that's set. Up
and then The Fine florida dot com is the educational
website where we've got the. Books both websites have the
first book on them you can get and we'll start
doing pre orders on the others here pretty.
Speaker 5 (41:32):
Quickly, outstanding Doctor. VINCE i appreciate your Brother god's speed to. You,
amigos are coming right. Back some of your, thoughts your,
calls your opinions and everything else that's up here That
i've got to download before this week. Ends don't go.
Anywhere I'm Rich. Valdez this Is.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
America this Is, America.
Speaker 6 (42:05):
Bara in glace Or primo Nomerods, Bara rich vald is
e s Us.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
America, awara.
Speaker 5 (42:17):
All, Right, america welcome. BACK i Am Rich Valdes valdees
with the nast That rich valdesk on all the social
media AND i want to thank you for tuning. In,
now we're not done just, yet, Right we're still gonna
have some time maybe to get to a couple of.
Calls if there's calls in the, queue we're gonna get to.
You you know the, number eight seven Seven valds. One,
(42:38):
now what's interesting about this is, This i've got one of.
These you haven't seen one of these in a, while have?
You well this right, here this bad. Boy check it. Out, yeah,
buddy this is a duck. Phone it's A Jersey shore.
Original you, Know i'm a huge fan Of Jersey. Shore so,
yes we've got a duck. Phone eight seven Seven valdes.
(42:58):
One a, call and IF i don't get to you,
today we'll try and get to you the next, TIME i,
Promise because a few THINGS i want to go over
One Edit trumpeto, right in true gangster, fashion we're gonna
get to some Ed trumpito AND i had some final
thoughts on what we were talking about with Doctor Vince.
Callahan Doctor vince is explaining the you, know what's going
on with family, estrangement how he himself had an estrangement,
(43:21):
issue it still does with his own. Son this is
something that all to offense happening to. Families all Across.
America people are breaking up with their, families AND i
think it's. WILD i think it's. WRONG i don't think
it's something we should be. Doing and this is WHY
i talk about these. Things BUT i wanted to point
out THAT i believe there's a lot of, hype there's
(43:43):
a lot of. Propaganda there's a lot of stuff THAT
i feel shouldn't be, happening but is. Happening and WHAT
i mean by, that, well some people say it's like
a psychological, operation like information. Warfare, right kids versus, parents
men versus, women real versus. Fake when it comes to
(44:06):
the news, Facts we're gonna have a civil. War every
last video you see people are crying about a civil.
War we're gonna have a civil. War this is, happening that's.
Happening all sorts of things are. Happening but, meanwhile you
go to a, concert you go to the, bank you go,
anywhere you, go local, bar, wherever a. Restaurant people aren't
really killing, themselves are. They nobody was fighting with each.
(44:29):
Other everything was. Fine there was no beef in these.
Streets so what's the big. DEAL i think people are
trying to make it look like things are worse than they.
Are AND i know this because for years, now for several,
years Because i've never Heard i've always been an observe of.
Politics i've been seeing this stuff go down for a long,
time And i've never heard people's, All we're gonna have
a civil. War, Now that's WHAT i hear all the.
Time people just keep talking about it's gonna get to a.
(44:51):
POINT i don't know how much. Longer what do you,
mean you don't know how?
Speaker 3 (44:54):
Long?
Speaker 5 (44:54):
Wait, magically one day you're gonna wake up and, go, hey,
honey where you gonna. Work, Num i'm just gonna, go,
shoot who does? That don't do. That nobody's calling for
anybody to do. That And i'm not saying these things can.
Happen i'm saying that our enemies are desperate for those
things to. Happen it's very evident within the. Movements, right
you've got The Bernie, SANDERS aoc crowd that's versus The
(45:18):
pelosi on the other side of the, aisle within their,
ranks Within democrats on The republican, side there's also beef
in these. Streets, right there's a, rift there's differences of,
opinion SO i say all of that to, say don't
believe all the. Hype, right people have hype over a
lot of different. Things we don't need to believe all the.
Hype what we do need to do is stay focused
(45:38):
on what's going to benefit.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Us.
Speaker 5 (45:40):
Right making sure that kids and parents aren't splitting, up
to make sure that men and women aren't at each other's,
necks at least not in a bad. Way, right making
sure that real and fake we have to agree on.
Something we can't sit here and really just make stuff
up as we go along and subscribe to every last
fear that's on the. Internet at some point we've got
(46:02):
to say, that you, KNOW i think that's, fake that's,
phony it's. Fraud i'm not messing with. That these are
the things THAT i think we need to. Do it's
important that we do it because if we don't do,
it we're. Screwed we're falling right into the trap whomever
these enemies. Are, Right, clearly it's not our friends that
are trying to divide and conquer us from. Within Abraham
lincoln and his UH i see him. Address he said
(46:23):
That america wouldn't fall from foreign, Enemy america would fall from.
WITHIN i Think lincoln was. Right we're going to be
undone by our own. Undoing people are going to trick
us into into into uh into The Civil. WAR i
think it's the craziest thing. Ever they want to to
subvert our our. System they want to demoralize our. People
(46:47):
they want to make sure that we're at each other's
throats so that we can't stand each. Other and it's
it's getting.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
Good.
Speaker 5 (46:53):
Right you got this race versus that, race this gender
versus that. Gender it's ultimately.
Speaker 3 (47:03):
What we make of.
Speaker 5 (47:04):
It and sometimes you just got to call out out
for what it.
Speaker 3 (47:08):
Is.
Speaker 5 (47:09):
Right look at some of the, news for example, Today
i'm looking at some of the news today AND i
see Ed trump betos at. All this magnets the, fifth
forty seventh president of These United, states Ed President DONALD. J.
TRUMP i see the headlines about. Him trump loses In Supreme.
Court trump This trump That trump, defiantly he Goes trump defiantly.
(47:29):
Nothing trump is within his, power within his rights as
president of The United, states saying you know, What, look
you guys said that this part of THE iepa tariffs
are outside of bounds for his role as. President he,
says no. Problem i'm gonna go to the ones that are, inbound,
right that are within the scope of his. Presidency, sure
(47:49):
and he does a ten percent global. Tariff you might
think that's. Retaliation, no that's he's trying to keep things
fair and. Balanced. Right he likes his money that's coming
in almost two hundred billion. Dollars and now they've pretty
much made it clear that, well they've made it clear
insomuch as saying nothing about. It they didn't, say, hey
you could keep this, money you could give the money,
away the money has to go back to the, people
(48:11):
none of. That so you get to assume that the
money's in your purview and you're going to do what
you need to. Do at LEAST i think that's the
assumption they're going to, use and SOMEONE i would use
IF i have money THEN i generated AND i was
expecting to give back to The american people in terms
of a tariff. REBATE i think that's going to. Continue
so kudos to AT, trmpito and hopefully that happens sooner
(48:33):
rather than. Later but ULTIMATELY i brought this up BECAUSE
i wanted you to hear what he had to. Say
he took about a minute and a half to explain his,
position AND i think it's worth listening to check this
out in.
Speaker 6 (48:47):
Actuality, why WHILE i am sure that they did not
mean to do, so The Supreme court's decision today made
a president's ability to both regulate trade and impose tariffs
more power powerful and more crystal, clear rather than. LESS
i don't think they meant.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
That i'm sure they.
Speaker 6 (49:06):
Didn't it's terrible and to think that The democrats who
oppose this only because they want to go the opposite.
Speaker 4 (49:16):
Way they'd like.
Speaker 2 (49:17):
To pack the.
Speaker 6 (49:18):
Court they want to put on twenty one. People they
want to pack the, court pack The Supreme. Court maybe
they should do. It maybe they would be better off
if they did. It they want to pack the. Court
they want to do anything to hurt our. Country there
will no longer be any doubt and the income coming
in and the protection of our companies and country will
(49:40):
actually increase because of this. DECISION i don't think The
court meant, that but that's the way it is based
on longstanding law and hundreds of, victories and even AS
i was pointed out, before even thousands of victories over the.
Years to the, contrary The Supreme court did not overrull.
(50:00):
Tariffs they merely overruled a particularly use OF aepa tariffs
and essentially as to use to get a. FEE i
can do ANYTHING i want WITH aepa, ANYTHING i just.
Speaker 7 (50:14):
Can't charge anybody for. IT i can, LICENSE i just
can't charge. Them it's, Ridiculous but it's okay because we
have other, ways numerous other.
Speaker 6 (50:24):
Ways the ability to, block, embargo, restrict, license or impose
any other condition on a foreign country's ability to conduct
trade with The United states UNDER aepa has been fully
confirmed by this. Decision so now there's no, doubt because you,
(50:45):
know there were a lot of questions about tariffs because
no president was smart enough to use them to protect
our country.
Speaker 5 (50:51):
From, now that wasn't. Everything he had a little bit
more to say when he talked about doubling down on
these tariffs once he was done responding to The Supreme,
court he, said and guess, What i'm allowed to give
these ten percent tariffs, globally And i'm gonna do that.
Too check this, out.
Speaker 6 (51:11):
Which have also been confirmed and are fully allowed therefore effective.
Immediately all national security tariffs Under section two thirty two
and Existing section three oh one. Tariffs they're, Existing they're
there remain in, place fully in, place and in full
(51:34):
force and. Effect TODAY i will sign in order to
impose a ten percent global tariff Under section one twenty.
Two over and above are normal tariffs already being. Charged
and we're also initiating Several section three oh one and
other investigations to protect our country from unfair trading practices
(51:56):
of other countries and.
Speaker 5 (51:58):
Companies so few people do it Like Ed trumpito does,
Right he knows how to do. IT i think he's
one of the best negotiators out. There and, again this
isn't The trump hour on the. Show this is just
me calling it like it, is telling you the, facts
trying to separate the. FICTION i Think trump didn't. Lose
he might have taken AN l on one, battle but
(52:19):
he's gonna win this, war and, ULTIMATELY i think the
win is for The american. People, NOW i always, say
we've got to be What reagan called us to be.
Right reagan called us to be informed. Patriots how do
we be? INFORMED i think we got to read, something know,
something watch, something share, Stuff share this if you like with.
(52:40):
Somebody if there was a benefit, here share it with a,
friend have them take a look at, it text them the.
Link whatever you got to. Do this is our new video,
stuff so it's very new and we've got to get
as many listeners and viewers as. Possible SO i appreciate
you sharing. IT i appreciate you giving those five star
reviews on the. PODCAST i appreciate you asking about The
valdez and The VALDEZ. Vip those are two subscription plans
(53:03):
that are coming. Out nothing's going to be. Required this
program will always be free as long as you could
listen to the. Ads there will be a free version
of this. Show but some people are asking for a
version of the show that does not have, ads and
we can do. THAT i think we're going to have
some different price, plans cheap a few bucks a. Month
but if you don't want to do, ads and if
(53:23):
you do or limited, ads and if you like it
the way it, is you do, nothing you pay. Nothing
we keep rocking out just like. This BUT i say
we have to be in form, patriots because we. Do
it's very important that we know what's going on and
we do the right. Thing Because Lord acton And Alexander
hamilton and others are famous for this quote for, saying
(53:48):
if you stand for, nothing you'll fall for, anything and
