Grace appears in unexpected places when we're paying attention. Sometimes it's in that morning sunlight streaming through your window, reminding you that you've been blessed with another day. Other times, it manifests as strength during life's hardest moments — when relationships crumble, jobs disappear, or uncertainty looms large.

In this deeply personal episode, I explore the transformative power of recognizing God's grace in our everyday lives. Drawing from my own morning routine of gratitude and scripture study, I share how establishing a spiritual foundation has allowed me to navigate life's challenges with greater resilience. We all face those moments where everything feels out of control, but that's precisely when grace does its most profound work — if we're willing to step back and allow it to operate.

The choices we make daily represent the ultimate expression of free will — each decision flipping between life and death, positive and negative, light and darkness. When success overwhelms you just as powerfully as failure might, how do you respond? I invite you to consider that divine messages often travel through people, making you potentially the vessel through which someone else receives exactly what they need today. Your smallest interactions might be carrying life-changing grace to someone who desperately needs it.

What would change if you began recognizing the grace already operating in your life? Join me as we explore gratitude for both the monumental blessings and those tiny moments that remind us we're part of something greater than ourselves. Subscribe to Ruck's Place for more conversations that nourish your spirit and challenge your perspective on life's journey.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
What up everybody.
It's your boy, chuck Brucker,it's Friday, y'all.
Yes, july Is doing what Julydoes?
We're getting through thismonth, y'all.
I got up this morning and Iwanted to give a shout out to
everybody, everybody who'srocking with Rucks Place, who's

(00:32):
been with me for the longesttime.
I appreciate you guys, man, andyour love Is God's grace For me
, and I'm so blessed to have youguys still hanging out with me
after all this time.
And because of that, I justwant to let you guys know that

(00:55):
you are special, that you areamazing, that your love is not
taken lightly on this side ofthings, and it will never be,
because without you, there wasno me.
Without your time and yourenergy that comes back towards
my direction, I cannot, guys, Icannot, cannot, cannot, cannot

(01:18):
tell you guys how blessed I feel.
All right, so let's get intothis episode, and today I want
to talk about God's grace.
That is, that's right.
Not a preaching session, butjust a message that God's grace
is everything.
Think about it.
You just woke up, or you're justgetting up, or you got up a few
hours ago, depending on whatcoast you're on.

(01:39):
But let me tell you I got upthis morning and I was me tell
you, I got up this morning and Iwas.
I woke up about five, maybe 5,30, and uh, I went to get out of
bed because you know I got amorning routine and if you
follow me, y'all know my morningroutine.
I got to get up and get on myknees first thing and bless the

(02:00):
day.
Thank god for blessing the day, thank god that I'm a part of
the day and.
And then I head downstairs andI get into my verses and
chapters and I give my attentionto God's word, because I like
to set the foundation of my daywith God's word, because if I

(02:20):
set the foundation of my daywith God's word, then, whoo, the
rest of the day I could dealwith anything.
No matter what you throw my way, I can deal with it, because I
know that if I'm reading thesechapters right, I am definitely
in the right place.
And I've spent a lot of timethere y'all, so I've had some

(02:42):
time to analyze some years.
Now that I've done this toanalyze, dissect, let it sit on
me, gloss over it sometimes, goback and uh and uh.
When I do do that, theunderstanding is deeper and
deeper and deeper, not to saythat I'm some expert, because we

(03:05):
are not.
I am not worthy of a fullunderstanding, because God is
too big for this little brain ofmine y'all.
But what I can understand, whatI can pick up, I try to
implement and use.
And even when you don't thinkyou're using what you're picking
up in the word, somehow itbubbles to the top In some of

(03:28):
your situations you don't evenrealize it.
And that is what I am talkingabout, grace.
For some of us, when our livesare so out of whack, we feel
like there's not a hope.
You know, maybe you lost a job, maybe you lost something that
was very important to you, maybeyou lost someone that is very,

(03:53):
very special to you, and maybe arelationship or something broke
up right and it still existsand you can't understand what
happened, what was the reasonfor it.
Oh man, I know I had thosestories.
Oh, lord knows I know about howI mismanaged something so badly

(04:16):
and uh, and it was god's gracethat when I step back and allow
god to manage it for me, thenthings changed, things changed.
Sometimes we need to just sitback, sit in the season of rest
and let him do what he does, andthank God that I felt that and

(04:38):
heard that message today.
Just today, I went out on mywalk, got my steps in and a lady
was having that kind of a daywhere she was just being
grateful and the grace, whoo, the grace, y'all, god's grace.
Right, I said just the otherday, I had a meeting where I did

(05:03):
a Zoom and I did a TikTok and Idid an Instagram and I did a
YouTube Live, which I, yeah, andI talked about there being two
sides of every coin.
There's a decision that we makeabout everything that we're

(05:24):
dealing with in life.
Right, there's a decision to doit, not to do something.
There's a good in us andthere's a bad in us.
There's a dark energy in us andthere's a light energy in us.
There are, you know, heaven andhell.
I'm kidding.
There's heaven and earth.
There's heaven and earth.
Some of you say what?
No, I'm kidding.
There's heaven and earth.

(05:45):
There's heaven and earth.
Some of you say what?
No, I'm kidding.
But yeah, there's a flip sideof that right.
There's positive and there'snegative right.
So, with that being our choices,we kind of sit in the middle
and have control that we don'teven realize that we have
control, and when we don't feellike we have control.
We don't even realize that wehave control, and when we don't

(06:05):
feel like we have control, weget.
We get the higher power, we getthe source of it all that we
could call on and say, lord, I'min the middle of this decision
right here and I just don't knowwhich way to go.
Right, can you set in step inhandle this for me, manage it,
have family, my peeps, y'all.
His grace is amazing.

(06:27):
Right, you need to go to thegym.
I don't want to go to the gym.
You need to eat.
Right, I don't want to eat.
Right, I'm going to eat.
Right, I'm going to go to thegym.
Whatever it may, I don't wantto go to work today.
Let me call in, let me give himan.
You have the ability to go towork when so many people don't.

(06:53):
I don't think we think aboutthat.
So many people nowadays, today, even today, have been let go,
and God rest and bless and coverthem in the moments where
they're trying to figure it out, where they just got hit so hard
by something.
They can't really fathom whatjust happened.
But I can tell you this Eitherway too.

(07:16):
I said it was the flip side ofthat right.
Either way, something so badcould have happened and
something so good could havehappened as well, and they don't
know what to do with it.
You know, sometimes successwill hit us so hard.
Something good when I meansuccess, I mean success, I mean
something great, somethingamazing, something that we were
waiting for, something that wewere looking for, something that

(07:37):
we were hoping for, and it justseemed like it wasn't in the
cards.
And voila, here it is, right inyour face and it's so heavy
that you don't know where tostart.
I hope y'all having those kindof days, man.
I hope y'all having those kindof days, man.

(08:00):
I hope y'all have that kind ofa weekend.
Well, y'all just can't figureout.
What am I doing all this money?
What am I going to do with allof this abundance that just
covered me and covered my family, covered my friends, covered my
haters?
No, yes, but yes, right.
Imagine that happening to youinstead of thinking about the
opposite side.
I was just saying don't speaknegative into the universe,

(08:20):
because that negative spiritloves to latch on, loves to put
its hooks in, that loves to getall up in your business, because
you put it out there and thendo whatever that negative energy
wants to do with you becauseyou shared with that source.
Uh-uh, keep it to god, keep itto yourself.

(08:42):
If it's so bad that you justare so frustrated you want to
scream it out, it's okay to dothat too, but scream it at god.
God knows just what to do withit.
He knew when, before ithappened to you, right?
You say, well, you knoweverything.
Why would he let that happen tome?
We have choices.
I just said it.

(09:03):
We have choices.
Some of our choices gets us insituations where we just need to
scream and, like I said, wecould be screaming in joy, right
, we could be screaming at thetop of our lungs in joy,
depending on where you are rightnow, depending on who you're
with, you know, and what's, whoyou're around.
So, understand that God's graceis everything and uh and that's

(09:25):
.
I'm just feeling that today andI just felt the need to express
that and I felt the need toshare that today, right, because
I think you need to know thatyou are special and you have
grace and you have thesedecisions that you definitely
have control over and the powerto make.
What are you going to do withit?
What are you doing with yourlife today.
What are you going to do onthis Friday?

(09:47):
I would love to know.
Someone said to me, when I wasgiven a message, that that flip
side of that coin, on one sideof that coin, is life, on the
other side of that coin is death.
And, oh my god, it is yourdecision to decide.

(10:12):
Is it death in this situationor is it life in this situation?
Am I speaking life into thispaycheck that I'm about to
receive and go out and blow afew digits?
Or am I speaking life into thislight bill, into the cell phone
bill that's $250 a month, rightInto this $1,000 light bill oh,
cell phone bill is $250 a month.

(10:33):
Right into this thousand dollarlight bill, oh man, right into
this thousand dollar car that I,you know I'm driving around
right, tell, talk to me y'all,y'all, can y'all hear me?
Do y'all hear me, man?
I know some of y'all knowexactly what I'm talking about
and if you say you know what,I'm not gonna breathe, breathe.
Get myself convince myself thatI need this thing.

(10:58):
Right, I don't need to jump onthis plane and go see home, boy.
I don't need to go hop on thisplane and go pick up home girl.
Some of y'all know what y'all, some of y'all out there, like
that man, and that's a beautifulthing.
Because of grace you get to dothose things when so many other
people are sitting there withthose paychecks or with that

(11:21):
little piece of energy, thatlittle piece of money that we
got our hands on today and wegot those kids sitting right in
front of you, or you gotsomething that's sitting right
in front of you that you justdon't want to give that energy
to, but you have to.
You have to thank God and sayLord, I just appreciate the

(11:42):
little things, I appreciate thatI got this thing and I'm going
to do the right thing with thisthing Because I'm not the only
one and you treat me like I'mnot the only one and you treat
me like I'm the only one andbecause of that I need to do the
right thing.
Wow, ponder that y'all man thatjust hit me.

(12:07):
I just had to fall back on thatone man Because he does treat
you like you're the only one.
And let me say this to you andI'll close this out because I
got things to get to like alwaysright y'all.
I was talking to a new friend ofmine in amsterdam.

(12:29):
What a beautiful soul soul is.
And she was given talk theother day and I just so happened
to pop in on her and she saidGod had to move through somebody

(12:50):
in order to speak to someoneelse, something along those
lines.
I'm paraphrasing but God had toput himself in a human form in
order to show what he was about,to tell crowds.

(13:13):
Show what he was about, to tellCrowds, people one on one in
private rooms, to tell somepeople that he was the light and
he was the way.
Understand that God Can easilybe moving through you To get to

(13:36):
that person that's sitting rightnext to you Today on your job,
in the car, as you go down thefreeway, the highway, on the
roads or wherever you'retraveling to.
Someone's sitting on the sofa, someone's sitting across the
street at the bus stop.
I know I'm going, I'm reachingy'all, but through you, the

(13:57):
message for someone's, maybeeven another day with us, y'all
is coming through you.
That's grace, man, this's grace.
Be appreciative of the littlethings, the many, many, the
things.

(14:17):
That's so tiny, that flickerthat just went past your eye,
that word that just went intoyour ear, hopefully coming from
me, word that just went intoyour ear, hopefully coming from
me that thought that you justhad about something that

(14:38):
connected just now for you.
Be grateful for it, be gratefulfor these things, appreciate
the life that we have been givenand the life that we are
promised when we, like so manyof those people who taught us
and loved us and loved on us,who are just hopefully in the

(15:03):
waiting, as the good book says, all right, I'm chuck rocker,
y'all.
Man rocks police is the podcast, and I thank you guys so much.
My gratitude is to you and I dosee.
I do see the support and and itis mind blowing, and I'm going

(15:27):
to be grateful For every little, every second, every minute that
you give to me.
And, with that being said, happy Friday.
Y'all.
Go and have a blessed andbeautiful and, most of all,
healthy and safe, whatever it isthat you're getting into, I
wish I was there.
If it's something good, y'all, and if it was something bad that

(15:49):
you needed a little help, alittle pick me up on, I wish I
was there for you too.
Hopefully I just got to you, hopefully I just reached you.
And then to the next episode.
I'm Chuck Parker, rucks Placesto Podcast and I'm out y'all.
