The Salty Sex Cast is a sexual education podcast, recording from Utah, built around sharing positive messages around sex-related content. Their mission is to end fear and stigma and allow others to find their optimal level of sexual wellness. Host, Mariah, wants to save others from being 'salty' about their lack of sex education.
ABOUT THE TEAM: Mariah (she/her) grew up in a strict religious home and the sex education she got was abstinence-only sex education in school. She was raised Mormon, where sex is not openly talked about and heavily shrouded in shame and feelings of “unworthiness”. Mariah is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach with a graduate degree in Health Education. She is taking her educational background and personal experience to share positive, empowering, and entertaining messages around sex, sexuality, relationships, and all things sex-related. Her mission is to minimize the fear and stigma around those things and create more awareness and understanding for others to reach their optimal sexual wellness. Mariah is bisexual and has been happily married to her husband for 12 years. The two of them are raising 3 wonderful kids with their sweet dog, Daisy. Mariah currently works full-time as an educator for an online university, adjuncts for another local university, and runs her coaching business, Balance Your Wellness.
Brady (he/ him) was born and raised in Utah and with the combination of a nurse for a mom and the prevalence of love lines on late-night radio he realized early on that the sex education he was getting didn't tell the whole story. With a brief background in radio and a passion for projects, he joined Salty Sex Cast shortly after it started, which bloomed into the creation of Murdershack Studios (murdershackstudios@gmail.com) while Brady loves to joke he is really passionate about learning more and more and growing his understanding toward his fellow human beings.
