(02:31):
job with the socials.
Thank you.
I appreciate that.
Well almost threw up.
Yeah.
Um no, but uh yeah, if you dofollow our socials, um it's
looking like it's gonna be a lotmore active.
So uh so rock and roll.
Yes, I definitely have afeeling based on what I've seen
so far that it's gonna get tothe point where I am actually
(02:52):
going to mute the set centeredsocials, uh, which I think you
know is a compliment coming fromme.
Yes, yeah.
Yeah, RJ don't he don't do thesocial medias that much.
Most of it is annoying.
But uh anyhoot, yeah.
So good job on that.
Um I this isn't a social thing,but I was I was because we were
(03:19):
also um we started we werelooking at some of the analytics
and stuff too last night.
We're gonna get more into that, but anyway.
Uh I can't I was looking atsomething on Spotify just on the
analytics side.
I can't I you know the littlecame across something that'd be
I I think was uh a fun thing toshare.
You know, the like if you'relistening to excuse me, like if
(03:42):
you're subscribed to a podcastor whatever, and it's like uh

They've been to the
ranch.
Speaker (04:48):
Yes.
Uh the next one, they call hermother.
Okay.
Oh wow.
Some of these titles are cutoff.
Oh, there's the rest of it.
They call her mother.
Oh, damn it, get back here.
They call her mother.
Um, podcast.
Faith, family, and legacy.
That's what it's called.
That that sounds wholesome.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah.
Okay.
Speaker (05:07):
Yeah.
Uh, and then the last one atleast that's showing up here is
Tenacity with Sonia C.
And I don't know who that is,but the way that title is
structured makes me think thatthey think I know who that is,
or I should.
Yeah.
Sonia C, do you know how thatis?
No, uh-uh.
Yeah, so it's probably nobodybecause you pretty much know all
(05:27):
the famous people.
Uh yeah, I know every famousdog on the ranch.
Um all of them are famous.
That's what I mean.
I know all them.
unknown (05:35):
Yep.
Speaker (05:36):
No, like celebrities
and stuff, you always know them.
I don't.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Well, I I'm learning
I don't know much about the new
ones.
Speaker (05:43):
Well, you know more
than I do, honestly.
Yeah.
Uh yeah, so if you're if you'rea dedicated listener, set and
centered, you may want to checkout Calm Your Daily Stress.
Yeah.
Maybe I don't know what they'retrying to tell me here with
that, but I'm gonna take it as acompliment.
I'm not sure.
(06:04):
But yeah, I thought that wasfunny.
This doesn't uh this uh ofcourse doesn't apply to you
because you don't listen topodcasts.
This is true.
Yeah, so anyhoot, uh what isthat what else is going on?
Was there something else?
Uh what is going on over there?
(06:25):
Uh-huh.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Finley's trying to
get comfortable.
Speaker (06:27):
Uh God, that's a
never-ending yeah, he's gonna
get comfortable on the floor.
Okay, well, all right.
So now we've got Oakley on thefloor, Finley on the floor,
okay, Finley.
Flash somewhere.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, I have not had
you know, I don't know.
I don't know.
I got I got both the dogs overhere.
You must have the cat.
Speaker (06:46):
I not that I'm aware
of.
Oh shit.
The thing with cats, uh well,in that show The Last Shit.
Oh damn, I I didn't even dothat on purpose.
The last ship.
Last shit that you called it.
Um, there's a scene wherethey're like, uh they're kinda
there's a sub that's been afterthem and stuff, so they're
trying to like find the sub, engage the sub.
(07:08):
And there's a scene wherethey're just like kind of
waiting and listening, and thecaptain's like, There's only one
thing I hate more than seeing asub on sonar.
And the other guy's like, what's that?
He goes, not seeing one.
Oh yeah.
And that's how I feel aboutcats.
Only thing that scares me morethan seeing them do something is
not seeing them because Godknows what he's up to.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Yeah, that is for
sure.
And it's not like you have fiveof them running around inside
the house.
I know.
You like the old cat lady.
Speaker (07:38):
Uh, thank you.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
You're welcome.
Oh shit.
What was that?
Oh, I might have moved my handand hit the cord that holds the
microphone.
And is this your first timehere, bud?
Feels like it.
Must be sober.
Oh, yeah.
Speaker (07:59):
You don't drink though,
so this is true.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
I don't drink very
often.
There's reasons for I know.
Speaker (08:05):
I know.
Uh well, probably probably fairthe best.
Yep, that is for sure.
Yeah.
Uh, and if you do drink toomuch, just uh check out Callum
Your Daily Stress.
And uh or maybe they call ourmother.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Or handbag designer one onwatch.
Yeah.
Why the hell not?
(08:26):
Yep.
Yep.
Um shit.
Oh, oh, never mind.
You brought the Bronco.
Sorry, I was looking at the Oh,you thought there was somebody
here?
Well, yeah.
Yeah.
There's a TV in the studio thathas the ranch cameras on it.
And I looked over, I'm like,ah.
Smart's truck is white, andthere's this like, well, it
(08:47):
looks like on the camera nowbecause it's nighttime, a black
truck.
Like, ah, there's a black truckin the driveway.
Oh, it's Bronco.
Okay.
It's Bronco.
Jesus Christ.
Yeah.
We are fucking realprofessionals, aren't we?
Speaker 1 (08:58):
That's why we're
doing this.
Oh, geez.
Speaker (09:03):
Yep.
So I guess we definitely uh youknow, we're not one of the
we're not one of those podcastswhere it's like, uh, you know,
subscribe.
Like where people would pay usto listen to this crap.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Yeah.
Like, comment, and subscribe.
That guy drives me nuts, butI've said that before.
Isn't that all the guys?
All the guys do it.
Oh, just one of them I watch.
I'd yeah, but a lot of them arelike, don't forget to hit the
bell button and oh the bellbutton.
Well, yeah, so that you getnotifications when whenever they
post a new video.
Where's my phone?
I don't know.
Did you lose it?
unknown (09:36):
Well, I okay.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
I don't know.
Whatever.
Uh Flash is probably looking onit.
Speaker (09:41):
He's probably hacking
the Pentagon on or something.
That's a lot of teams breakingany minute.
Cats can't be trusted.
Yeah.
Um, you know, speaking of thethat, the like thing, um uh
James May, you know James JamesMay is.
Yes.
Yes.
Do you do you ever watch hisYouTube channel?
I don't watch his YouTubechannel now.
(10:03):
No, for a second I thought youwere gonna say you don't watch
YouTube and the video's gonnaexplode.
Yeah, um yeah, anyway, so butyou what you've seen Top Gear
and all, so you kinda know hissh well, I wouldn't even call it
a shtick, I think it's just whohe is.
But he has a YouTube channelbecause he has this gin that you
know, this gin company, and hehas YouTube channel that's like
(10:25):
it promotes the gin, but it'smost of the videos are not about
the gin.
That's just like he does hisproducer makes him do stupid
things like trying Americansodas and he has comments and
stuff.
Whatever.
Um what the reason I thought ofthat is uh at the end of every
episode, she's like, uh callcalls to action, which that's
(10:47):
what they call the thing whereyou say like, comment,
subscribe, right?
Okay.
Or like when you they say, Hey,uh, hey, if you think having a
cat in the studio is weird whenyou're doing a podcast, hit us
and give us an up thumb, or youknow.
Yeah, when they uh when theyask for engagement, it's called
a call to action.
And so like at the end of thevideo, the producer uh she's off
camera usually and she's likeuh calls to action?
(11:10):
He he's like, No, I'm not doingit.
I'm not doing the bloody locksubsquad thing, you know.
I'm just like uh I like it.
If they want to listen to me,they're gonna listen to me.
Yeah, exactly.
Um, would you well that's not agood question?
I guess I have to like figureout how to phrase stuff with me.
(11:31):
Well, I have to we have to stepinto an alternate world.
Imagine a world where youlisten to podcasts.
Okay.
Would you listen to this one?
Speaker 1 (11:39):
I listen to it all
the time.
Speaker (11:41):
You said you would?
Yeah.
Yeah, I would.
I probably would too.
Although I would be so judgy.
Yeah.
Like these fucking guys.
These two assholes sitting inhere.
Yeah.
Oh uh, I I I would probablyhate listening to it.
It's like, why do you listen tothat show?
(12:03):
You bitch about the show allthe time.
Why do you listen to it everytime?
Like, well, gotta see whatstupid thing we're gonna do
next.
Yeah.
I had this friend, um, her heruh her dad, you know, probably
about my parents' age, whatever, and um he hated Rachel Ray.
(12:23):
And the way that I know that islike they can't her and her
parents came and stayed at theranch for like a week, a couple
years back, and every morningRachel Ray would be on.
He'd be like, Oh my god, lookat what she's wearing today.
Can you even believe that?
And he'd be like, uh, you know,oh, she's you see, this you
could get a load of this recipeshe's what she's making.
(12:45):
Nobody's gonna like that.
Uh like, oh, did you forgetyour blow dryer this morning?
Look at that hair.
I'm just like and yeah, everymorning when I came on, he just
happened to make sure he wasright there in the living room
to catch it.
Oh, jeez.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Yeah, yeah, just just
so he could complain about what
she's wearing.
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker (13:04):
It's one of those uh,
you know, obviously like loves
Rachel Ray, but like, you know, too grumpy to admit it or
whatever.
But I would just laugh my assout because I I never had a
problem with Rachel Ray.
She's fine, whatever.
Her show came on, it was fine, whatever.
It was on before the price isright, and that's why you that's
why I would catch it.
Um But he just like, oh my god,can you believe they let her
(13:27):
wear that sweater on TV?
And I'm like, I didn't evennotice her sweater until you
said something, and really it'snot that bad.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
That was just his
excuse to watch her, huh?
Speaker (13:38):
I think so.
Yeah.
Yeah, I kind of missed thatshow.
Um Although, you know, itreally for me was just a lead
into the prices, right?
So it's all it was always, yeah, you had to watch something
before the price is right.
Well, I didn't no, I didn'thave to.
It's not like but I always hadto I I didn't ever want to miss
the prices right.
So I just, you know, I had tomake sure that the TV was on the
(13:59):
right channel, yeah, andeverything, which it always is
because there's only one.
Um, and so I'd always catch thetail end of whatever.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Yeah.
When we were sick as kids, itwould be the price is right.
Then you'd flip it over toBonanza, uh, and then Perry
Mason.
So Perry Mason.
Yep.
Speaker (14:19):
Yeah, I've uh heard of
those things.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Every every day, uh,
every weekday at noon they'd
play Perry Mason.
Oh, okay.
Speaker (14:27):
Oh, did Prices Right
come on at 10 then?
Uh yeah, I believe it was 10.
Yeah, same time, same timehere.
Yep.
Yeah.
Um I wonder if it's like yeah,I don't know.
I think I think we're being tooexciting and engaging in the
topics and we're talking aboutand stuff.
People are like, whoa.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Whoa, step back.
I'm gonna have to take a breakhere.
Yeah, puff, puff, pass.
Speaker (14:55):
Uh, why do I have uh I
just went I grabbed my pad here
because I was like, it's lookingmaybe I have something written
down we could actually talkabout more interesting than
whatever.
How come the only thing writtenon this piece of paper mark is
Shania Twain?
Oh that that's mine.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
No.
Can you hand it over, please?
Yeah.
Speaker (15:14):
The the 90s version of
Shania, please.
Oh, yeah.
Well, I get I get exactly whatyou're saying.
Yeah.
Holy crap.
What she did to herself.
Oof.
But uh no, but no, like, didthat come up at some point?
Yeah, we talked about Shaniaone time.
Oh, we did?
Is that why I wrote it down?
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah.
It's when uh we were on theship, uh, the aircraft carrier,
and we wrote to her.
No, we didn't talk about thison the pod.
Speaker (15:38):
Okay, never mind.
That's why oh my gosh, this islike ESPN we just had.
ESPN, yeah.
Because you told me that wholestory.
Yeah.
Off air a long time back.
And yes, last time we wererecording, something that you
were talking about last timemade me think of that, and I was
like, that was that's a funstory.
He should tell it sometime.
Yeah.
Instead of making a note likehe should tell the story about
(16:01):
the I just wrote Shania Twain.
Tell the story.
See if you needed you needed tokeep going, tell the story.
Yeah, it was actually relatedto your photography stuff
because you were talking aboutthat last time, and you were but
you were like kind of halfasleep on the last podcast.
Yes, I was.
Yeah, it was fun for me, but umyou know, you talked about
doing up in Washington andhiking to the falls or
(16:22):
something.
Yeah, but there was anotherpart about on the on the ship
you bought all the camera andwhat but you know, I'm talking
about all the disposablecameras.
Am I talking thinking ofsomething else?
You're thinking of somethingelse, yeah.
Whoa, whoa.
Interesting.
All right, um you never didokay.
No, wow, where did all thiscome from?
(16:44):
I'm gonna I'm just gonna writea note herself up on it later.
Cameras question mark.
Okay.
Okay.
So tell tell the Shania Twainstory.
It's fun.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Okay, so excuse me,
when I was on my uh 90 94, 95
long cruise to the med on uhTheodore Roosevelt, uh Shania
Twain was just coming out, herand Toby Keith.
And so on the ship, on the theTV, they'd always played uh
Shania Twain's Any Man of Mine.
So one of our one of us got thehairbranded hair-brained idea
(17:18):
we needed to write her and youknow, send her a letter.
So we sent her a letter.
Speaker (17:23):
Who wrote who wrote it?
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Uh God.
My buddy uh Mike Newell.
Okay.
Speaker (17:28):
It was like a group
thing, like your own.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah, it was it was
night, night check, or that was
the six at night to six in themorning shift.
Okay.
And so he wrote her a letter, sent it out, and then I was
leaving uh to fly back home, andthe day that I was getting on
the COD to take a cash shot offthe what?
COD, it's it's uh the Hawkeye,the E2.
unknown (17:52):
COD.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
We called it a COD.
It was it was the like PonyExpress that would be bring
people on the ship and off theship.
Yeah.
Speaker (17:59):
Uh I understand what
ponies are.
I understand what E2 is.
What is COD?
Is it an acronym?
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Uh it probably is.
We just called it the COD.
So it probably stands forsomething yes, but it wasn't an
F-18, so I didn't care.
Okay.
Because that's what I workedon.
So anyway, the day that I wasgetting ready to take the cat
shot with COD, we got mail back, and I seen it was from Shania
Twain, and it was handwrittenwith her address, you know, it
(18:25):
said Shania Twain on it, and uhmy buddy Mike Newell and and
company or whatever the hell itwas.
And yeah, she told us, youknow, hey, appreciate you guys
writing to me, all this stuff.
Glad you're out thereprotecting and stuff like that,
and sent some the pictures ofher and stuff.
And that was in autographpictures.
Speaker (18:43):
Yeah, autograph
pictures.
And didn't she send like likebasically you had told her how
many folks or her guys were inthe thing in the crew, and she
sent like enough one for each ofyou?
Yeah, there's one for each ofus.
That's so cool.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Yep, and then I went
up uh up on the flight deck, got
in the cod, and took a cat shotoff an aircraft carrier.
Speaker (19:02):
So that I you never I
never thought about the fact
that that's what she wouldthat's how you get off of it.
Yeah.
Was that creative was thatcool?
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Oh my god.
That's another story, so we'llgo ahead and tell it.
Speaker (19:13):
So I was sitting on a
little uh uh I did some uh
research over here.
Yeah.
So the COD is um the nicknamecomes from the acronym Carrier
onboard delivery.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Oh, okay.
Makes sense.
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker (19:30):
So yeah, we went up.
Just in case you needed if youwere uh had any questions for me
about the navy, uh that's one.
I got a lot of questions aboutthe navy.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
I don't I don't
remember much of it.
Yeah, so uh got up on the cod,and on those you face backwards
when you're sitting in the seat.
And so we got they got us allloaded, all of our bags loaded,
and they said, Okay, we're gonnathe air crew says, Okay, we're
gonna, you know, once they youfeel the the nose of the bird go
(20:05):
down, or the cod, they said,we're gonna wave our hands and
stuff because we're gonna getready to launch.
It's like okay.
So it did that, they're backthere screaming and yelling,
waving their hands andeverything.
So, you know, you're supposedto cross your tighten your
seatbelt or your belts as tightas you can, cross your arms and
lean over as far as you can.
I'm like, okay, I'm good, I'mgood.
Never done this before.
And then all of a sudden, thecod, you feel the nose go back
(20:27):
up, they let off the tension offthe catapult.
And I looked around, there's aguy from CNN back in the day
that because we were bombingBosnia, and he's over there
turning blue.
He has got it so cranked downand holding on, so I'm like,
fuck, I'm missing somethinghere.
So did it again.
The nose of the cod went down, they started screaming out.
(20:48):
I'm holding on, turning blue, and then all of a sudden you go
from zero to like 175 miles anhour, just like that.
And the cod being a turbopropafter you after you launch, it
kind of loses momentum.
So all of a sudden you're goingfrom 100 foot off the water
down to oh shit, all I see iswater.
Yeah, so that was that was acool thing to say I did that.
Speaker (21:12):
Yeah, did you just do
it once?
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Yeah, just did it the
once I was getting out of the
navy after that.
Speaker (21:16):
Was it I mean it was a
super cool thing to say you did.
Was it cool while you did it orabsolutely terrifying?
No, it was cool.
I was I was excited for it,yeah.
Yeah, it's like uh I knowthere's a few planes that do it,
but that was one of them.
Where like if if if you're looknot looking because I wasn't
there, but like point of viewfrom the carrier deck, and it
goes, you know, the the thinglaunches it and then just drops
(21:39):
below the edge of the deck likethat.
Yeah, well, that's really cool.
Yeah, thank you.
It was it was fun.
Are you gonna show me yourShania Twain autograph photo
sometime?
Speaker 1 (21:50):
I don't have that
anymore.
That that was many, many yearsago.
Man, yeah, that seems likesomething you'd hold on to.
I probably did, but I probablylost it in divorce or something.
Speaker (22:07):
I could just I could
just see a line item somewhere
in some divorce document filedaway in some county clerk's
office.
Like the autographed uhphotograph eight by ten of
Shania Twenty will go to.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Well, it was like
fifteen years later uh that I'd
been divorced from the kids' momand my son after he started
driving to go see his mom, he'dbring shit back to me 15 years
later.
Speaker (22:32):
And he couldn't get
that picture?
Speaker 1 (22:33):
No, he didn't get
that.
unknown (22:34):
Dang it.
Speaker (22:35):
Yeah.
I mean, that's it's kind of sadthat you lost that.
Yeah.
Um, especially because you lookat it, you could look at it now
and remember what she used tolook like.
Yeah.
Danger unrecognizable anymore.
Yeah, that is for sure.
Um you know what all thisreminds me of is Cher.
Oh yeah, she just turned 80.
(22:56):
Oh, really?
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Yeah.
How'd she look?
Uh like a Barbie doll, allplastic and shit.
Speaker (23:03):
Okay.
Um, that's great.
You know what why it remindedme of Cher?
Why?
The music video.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Oh, on the
battleship.
Yep.
That was awesome.
Oh, not for the guys that wereout to see that were coming
home.
Uh really?
Speaker (23:18):
Yeah.
Oh, wait, hold on, back up.
It was on USS Missouri, Ithink.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Yeah.
Yeah.
So a buddy of mine was on a uhbefore he got to the one
squadron I was in at the time.
They were held out two extradays so that they could do that,
from what I understand.
Uh they were held out for twoextra days getting back home
after a six-month deploymentbecause Cher was shooting that
video.
Speaker (23:42):
Uh so like they they
basically rolled up and like
tied onto the thing, and they'relike, Okay, great, now that
you're here.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Um No, they wouldn't
even let him into the port.
What do you mean?
They they held him out to seabecause they were shooting the
video.
Speaker (23:56):
Oh, you mean a
different boat was oh, I get
you.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Yeah, they were
coming off long cruise and they
held them out for like two days.
It's what my buddy told me, itmay not be a true story, but
boy, it's sounding good.
Speaker (24:07):
I I you know, it's one
of those stories that I would
have no trouble believing, so itprobably is true.
Yeah.
Um, and yeah, I was confusedbecause I'm like, um, like I get
it, you know, uh mate two extradays, but also you're in early
20s, very horny male, and butno, you were like on the boat
that wasn't there because thatwas happening.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
That was like because
they were filming a share
video.
Speaker (24:31):
Yeah, I'll bet if you
talk to the folks who were on
the boat when they were filming, they're like, that was pretty
good.
I bet they were.
That was not so bad.
I I was watching the video.
Yeah, it's it was yeah.
Uh gosh, I wonder what it 1989it came out, looks like.
Yeah, it's pretty risque forback then.
Yeah.
I mean, apart from thesexuality and the skimpiness, it
(24:51):
was that was a very that was acool video, good video.
Yeah, well done.
Yes, it was.
I'll I'll agree to that one.
Yeah, unlike Joyce.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
There was actually a
ship on that video.
Oh, there was a ship?
Wait, what there were sailors?
Speaker (25:03):
Oh I see was sure.
Yeah.
That's how I feel about the uhthose you know, those uh those
dance videos I was tellingabout, like the open
competitions.
Oh yeah, your Japan one orChina one or whatever.
Yeah, it was in Singapore.
Um but I was telling somebodyabout it, and um I I said, well,
(25:26):
you you had said, Oh, yeah, there's a guy and a girl, and I
correct I didn't correct you, Iwas saying, well, in this one,
there's a it's a leader andfollower.
And I wasn't saying becausemost of them are guys and girls,
I'm just saying like that's howthe terminology they use.
So anyway, I was tellingsomebody else, one of my
friends, I'm like, Yeah, so theyhave a leader and a follower.
And the guy the question wassomething like, Well, is it I
(25:46):
mean, leader, follow-like, is ita guy and a girl usually?
And I'm like, uh I don't knowif there was anybody else
dancing with them.
No, they feel like there wasno, I'm just joking because
there was obviously.
Yeah, but to your point aboutthe battleship, I didn't notice
a woman that was also theredancing.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
I noticed the guy his
dump truck.
Yeah, but donk a donk, yes, getit right, Trace Atkins.
Yeah, I know that reference.
Speaker (26:14):
Um yeah, uh God dang.
Yep.
Uh what else you got?
Uh that was fun.
Um there was something aboutsomething else and then a thing,
and then nope, I lost it.
You lost it?
Have you seen my phone by theway?
Speaker 1 (26:32):
No, uh-uh.
I told you you said that Flashwas getting hold of the Jesus
Christ.
Well, let's let's talk aboutMr.
Buckley and how much he's grownup the last couple months.
Oh my gosh.
Uh yeah.
He is uh he's growing quick.
Speaker (26:48):
Yeah.
And uh that's your story.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
No, uh-uh.
I was noticed because it's likeevery morning uh get up over uh
on the property, and you gotBuckley and Kennai over there,
and then for shit, like a weekwe didn't have Buckley.
It's like anything wrong withBuckley?
Is anything wrong?
And then so I come over to seeyou one night.
Speaker (27:08):
Do you want to uh you
wanna like give a little
background on Buckley and Kanaiand why it's unusual to see
them?
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Yeah, I guess that'd
be great.
So Buckley has taken Kennai asdad.
So Buckley follows Kanaieverywhere, yeah.
And he it reminds me of thatone.
Hold on, I've got little legsfrom full house.
And so now Kennai runs off orgoes and does his thing, and
Buckley stays here, is what youwere saying.
(27:37):
He stays here and does histhing and hangs out with the
other dogs too.
Yep, yeah.
Speaker (27:42):
Yep, he plays with uh
he spends a lot of time playing
with Hartley.
Oh god, the Hartley, yeah.
Yeah, Hartley.
The uh so yeah, that's well, that's what you were saying.
Is like he's he's got he's kindof a little big boy now.
He doesn't have to follow daddyaround all the time.
No, he's cute because he'll uhand he does a lot of time, but
(28:03):
uh he likes to hang back hereand play with Hartley or even oh
my god, what the hell is that?
That was just a cord.
Um uh like even like the othernight he was out.
Uh well kind of they were allout, and then he came back at
some point, and he's all like, you know, it's all dirty and
muddy, and he's panting, like,oh god, I have had so much fun.
I'm like, and then uh the girlscame up, so he was out with
(28:26):
Callie and Bailey on some kindof mission.
Oh, that's cool.
Yeah, and then Hartley likelast night um I was over at your
place and Hartley was playingwith Ranger the dog for I don't
know, half hour, 45 minutes, andyes, finally Christina's like,
oh god.
He's like, Hartley, did youwear Ranger out?
Because I guess Ranger'sgetting tired.
Yeah, I'm like, this is thethird dog today he's gone
(28:49):
through.
Like I don't know where he getsthe energy from, man, but he
will because he'll play like allday, all night.
And um, it's like one of themgets tired, he's like, Okay,
who's next?
Who's who's next?
Who's gonna come with me?
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Yeah, yeah, it's like
today with uh because uh we
came back from town and we madethe corner to go down, you know,
to our place, and you alwaysgot Lucky in the lead, and then
Kanai, and then a little bitfurther back you got Buckley
because his short little legsget him.
Well, now Harley's stayingoutside full time.
You said what about three weeksnow he hasn't been in the house
(29:25):
overnight?
Yep, and so had all four ofthem, but it was Kanai in the
lead.
You had Buckley behind Kanai, keeping up with him.
It's like holy crap! Andthere's actually a piss picture
I posted it as uh Buckley andand some of the other dogs on
it, and then can I uh Hartleyand then Lucky, and Lucky was
(29:45):
pissed that he was in thetrailing position.
So we're going you know towardsthe driveway.
We got two driveways, we'regoing towards the upper
driveway.
Fricking Lucky rolls Kennairight in the middle of the road,
which is a dirt road, and thenthey start playing in the in the
road, and then Kanai went toget up, and Christine's like, is
(30:06):
he okay?
Is he okay?
Because I, you know, I'dstopped.
So I rolled up towards him, andKanai gets up, looks in my
window, like, what up, dude?
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I couldn't believe littleMr.
Buckley was keeping up withwith uh Kanai today.
Speaker (30:21):
Yeah, I know.
Um, yeah, he's he's really he'sreally grown up.
Uh I had I actually want toback up a little bit.
If you don't you said you had apicture and you did something
with I can't recognize you saidyou posted it Yeah, posted it on
the book of Facebook.
Social?
Yeah, on social.
Yeah, you saw I yeah, you know, talking about that, I actually
(30:47):
um because you said you wish youhad filmed it just the other
day.
I was heading over there and itwas lucky he wasn't there, but
I was driving over to your placeand um Canai Jr.
and Hartley were like runningout in front of me uh along the
way.
And I I think he had a video ofthat.
Um I don't know.
Do you think there's some waythat we can make that video be
(31:08):
online?
Yeah, if it's in the hands ofthe right person.
Yeah, get it in the hands ofthe right person.
Finley, you're up.
Can't give it to Oakley, he'stoo bitchy tonight.
Yeah.
You know, I'll I'll say this tohim.
He's he's having a pretty goodnight considering because a lot
of times when you come over umspecifically to to to record,
(31:30):
um, because there's a lot ofchaos with the dogs and
everything, and then Oakley getsa little what are you doing
over there?
Finley's telling me he wants upagain.
Yeah, Oakley can get a littlehe's got anxiety, so he gets a
lamped up a lot of times.
Yeah.
Tonight he's it may be a littlegrumpy, but he's been pretty
chill.
Yeah, he has.
Um, yeah, but the it's just socute.
(31:51):
It's like you just buy like umthese these things, and um like
I'm glad that I'm glad thatwe're posting on that you're
posting on the social now.
Yeah.
Mostly because I don't so Idon't have to, but also so
people can see this stuff.
So yeah, I'll th I'll throw uhMark will throw this video up at
some point.
But um and I'll say too that uhCanai Canai is a very fast dog.
(32:16):
Very lucky's faster.
Lucky is like a fuckinggazelle, yeah.
Um and uh the funniest fuckingthing, it still cracks me up
though.
Hartley is uh you know, he'she's a big boy now, he's bigger
than both of them.
Uh he's not very fast.
Like he's never been aparticularly fast runner, and
(32:39):
it's so funny because like LuckyCanai and Hartley will let's
say all go uh like a full sprintlike down the hill toward the
pond.
Right.
And Lucky and Canai will be outthere, and Lucky's like or
Hartley, you can tell he'srunning as fast as he can, but
he just can't go as fast.
It's interesting, but it'sfunny, yeah.
(32:59):
And it is cute as shit, though, see little bucklers just like
because he used to be likebouncing behind like wee dip,
wee-dip, we-dip.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Uh yeah.
Yeah, but he's finally got tothe point where he lets his uh
petty man stuff.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's very, very sweettoo.
Oh, he is such a good littleguy.
Speaker (33:17):
And he's yeah, he's
just a little he's just a little
sweet pee.
Like when well now that hewants uh attention to stuff,
like when he first sees you, heuh he like wags his tail and
he's like he kind of bops hishead.
He's like, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
I I love when they
come over the house and all of
them are wet.
Well, three of them, you gotCanai, Hartley, and Buckley,
they're all wet.
Yeah.
Yeah, from swimming in the pondlike Lucy.
Um, speaking of which, you'reyou said you're setting up a
live stream here within the uhnext week or so.
Speaker (33:51):
Yeah, um, well, I guess
I am now.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Shit.
Uh uh working on it.
Um, well, I I'm I will.
I'm going to.
Um, and I'm not sure if it'llbe next week or whatever.
Pretty soon though, um, kind ofworking out the technical kinks
and stuff.
Uh one of the things we have todeal with on the range that
(34:12):
people don't have to deal within general, like when they're in
the city, is uh distance.
So like uh this this camera'sgonna be like four or five
hundred feet away from any powersource or Wi-Fi or whatever.
But what uh what I'm gonna do,I'm working on doing is uh set
up a camera that overlooks LakeLucy, and in the background
(34:32):
behind that, uh the pasture,Patsy's pasture, and the big
open sky on the tall pines, justa lovely, lovely view all the
time.
Um, and so what we're gonna tryto do is set up a 24-7 um live
stream on our YouTube channel.
So anybody who would like tosee what's going on on the ranch
(34:57):
right now, anytime, go check itout.
Or if you just want to put iton the background, because it's
very it's a very peaceful littlescene, it really is.
Yeah, it is.
Or if you prefer the sound ofnature to fall asleep too, and
at this time of year, meaning athousand billion horny fucking
frogs all night long, you can dothat too.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
But well, and then
they can also see the dogs when
they go swimming.
Speaker (35:22):
Yes, I know, yeah, for
real.
That'll be cool.
Yeah, excuse me.
And I don't want to get I don'twant to overpromise, I don't
want to get too far ahead ofmyself, but there is potentially
some capability on the camerathat will be able to set it up
to where like if they do goswimming, like the camera will
automatically follow it aroundor whatever.
But even if it doesn't, you'llbe able to see them swim around.
(35:43):
Um, so when that's when thatgoes up, um, it'll be posted on
YouTube channel.
Um I'll get it on Facebookalso.
I was gonna say, I wonder ifthere's some way that family
you're up again.
Yeah, so we'll Mark will Markwill make a post whenever it
goes up with the link andeverything.
(36:04):
But yeah, if you're subscribedon YouTube, it'll just I don't
know how YouTube works, butprobably just be there at the
top of the page when it's live.
I don't know.
But yeah, that'll be cool.
Um and actually something Iwanted to tell you about that uh
on that project.
I wasn't planning on talkingabout that project, but since
you let the cat out of the bag, dog, dog out of the whatever.
Um I wanted to tell you this isfunny and shit.
(36:27):
Because you know, you got allthe AI stuff and whatever.
And I talk about my guy.
Um I I use my guy for a lot ofdifferent things, but uh I'm I'm
one of those people whorecognizes that AI is what it
is.
It is it is not uh silverbullet.
Um, and I use accordingly.
So I I'm uh I have to set upsolar panels, you know, I gotta
(36:52):
get power for this thing andeverything down there.
And I I did all thecalculations and whatever and
stuff and kind of had figured itout before I asked my guy about
it.
And this is important.
Okay, because sometimes you aska question, and I hope people
realize it.
Sometimes you ask a questionand you're not getting an answer
that's even anywhere in theballpark of right.
(37:14):
People need to know this.
I hope they do.
But like when it comes totechnical, here's your public
service announcement for theweek.
If it comes to technical stuffor things that, I don't know,
might kill you, like electricityor whatever.
Um, don't ask AI about itunless you already have a pretty
good understanding of it.
And I'm gonna here's a littlelittle little demonstration as
(37:37):
to why.
So I have a handful of solarpanels that are available to me
because they've been for variousother projects and they're
around, they're on hand.
They're different though.
Um, I won't get into thedifferences and why unless
Schmoose Poose the Poose orwhatever his name is wants us to
Moose Knuckle.
Yeah, drone on about you know, all you got your your your open
(38:02):
circuit voltage, and no, right.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
You can tell who the
mechanical engineer is in this
crew.
Correct.
Speaker (38:09):
Um and aerospace
engineer.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, let's not uh I forgot,I'm sorry.
Or rocket scientists, if youwant yeah, either way.
Um anyway, basically I'm like Igot three three mismatch
panels, and I'm like, um I couldprobably put them to together
in a certain way and utilizethem or whatever.
(38:31):
But so I posed the question, Iwas like, uh to my to the AI,
and I said, I have these threepanels, and like can I run them
all together?
Uh and ChatGPT, which is myguy, um, he gave I asked him and
he gave me an answer that wasso stupid that I'm like, I'm
gonna ask some others.
(38:52):
And now this is not the fullanswer to the full question or
whatever, but I want to fromthree different AI thingies, I
want to tell you what they saidabout it one specific point
about them, which is how to wireit up, which would be series or
parallel.
So Claude says, um, you coulddo series, and then it goes or
(39:15):
in parallel, but mismatchvoltages will make make it a
little less efficient.
That's what Claude said.
Okay, Grok says, recommendationconnect them in parallel.
All right, it's kind ofdifferent answers.
Chat GPT says, do not connectthem in parallel.
These were the three answers Igot.
(39:36):
So oh my god.
I'm just like people well, yeahthat's a whole other topic.
We probably won't even talk toon or talk about on this show
because it's a little heavy, butthere are these things are
killing people, you you know, especially kids like young young
teens, right?
Right.
They're convincing them to killthemselves.
(39:57):
It's a whole thing that's goingon, and you know, that's
horrible.
This is a funny example of it.
And it's a situation where ifit gave me the wrong info, I'm
not gonna get hurt or getkilled.
But there's probably threedifferent things in each of you
know the the the plans thatthese yeahs gave me.
(40:17):
I one of those three thingscould have, you know, destroyed
my battery or my panel.
You know, just like good lord.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
That'd be messed up.
Speaker (40:27):
Yeah.
So if you want Grop to make youan eight-second I don't know,
video of a cat riding on abiplane, rock and roll, folks.
Uh anything that's important, just do your own, like actually
do your own research, learnthings.
Yeah.
Um, all right, so next topic isthe end of the show.
(40:48):
Already?
Yeah.
Jesus, and for once I mean it.
For once, huh?
Speaker 1 (40:57):
Okay, let's let's go
to the next thing.
Smokes, smokes and Gatorades onthe deck.
Speaker (41:03):
Oh, oh, you mean the
next thing for us?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Uh well, and probably a lot ofproblem solving.
Yes.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
Yeah, we do figure
out whether we're gonna you're
gonna go series or parallel.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Speaker (41:17):
We do we do spend
sometimes some late nights you
know solving the world'sproblems out there.
Yeah, people don't even realizewhat we do for them.
Uh that's I'll tell you what,they don't.
You guys don't even know.
Yeah.
Um, and maybe next time we'llwe're recording it maybe from
the new studio.
Yes.
Speaking of things.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
Yeah, we're we're
moving the studio.
Speaker (41:36):
Yeah.
Uh maybe.
Maybe.
Like, well, it's on it's we'rewe're planning to move the
studio.
That's probably a better way toput it.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
Yeah, it may it may
be back in the old studio
quicker than what you think.
Speaker (41:48):
Or we may never do it.
That's not where I was goingwith that.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
It's been a week and
a half so far.
Why why why go now?
I mean, there's two ways oflooking at it.
One of them's that.
Speaker (41:58):
Uh yeah, so let's uh
let's go solve some world's
problems.
Let's go.
All right.
Well, catch y'all later.
Have a good one.
