In December 1979, 28-year-old Angela Allen vanished from Syracuse, New York, the day after Christmas. That morning, she called her mother — sounding tired, but otherwise fine. Hours later, she was gone. Her last paycheck sat unclaimed, until her husband tried to pick it up. Investigators believe Angela was killed that day, possibly buried in one of two places she had once visited on dates.

Decades later, Angela’s body has never been found. Her disappearance left behind unanswered questions, suspicions of betrayal, and two daughters still searching for truth.

📖 Featuring an original poem written in Angela’s honor, read by actor Chioma Umeala (Netflix’s One Piece, The Woman King).

She Goes By Jane is a true crime podcast about missing and unidentified women. We tell their stories with deep research, poetry, and care — no gore, no sensationalism.
