So, if you're ready to rewriteyour story and live life that's
bold, authentic andunapologetically yours, let's
dive in.
Hello, hello, welcome back.
I'm so happy you're here, sending you so much love and
light.
I love every person who tunesin.
(00:45):
It just means the absoluteworld to me.
Can you believe we are wrappingup 2024?
Really, real talk?
I cannot, and I want to unpackthe year with you.
This episode is going to be raw, it's going to be transparent,
it's going to be vulnerable.
I might cry.
I've tried to record this acouple times and ended up crying
and then I start over.
So I'm not going to start overagain on this.
(01:05):
So, like I don't know what'sabout to happen, but I want to
literally like let it all out.
You know, when I look back at2024, first of all, it's my
quantum leap year.
I 7x my business and my income, which I'm so excited about.
But I think I'm more excitedabout who I have become since
moving to Texas and being who Iam now today, in 2024.
(01:27):
To catch you up, I moved myentire family, my little unit of
four, from California to Texaslast Black Friday, so in 2023,
that week after Thanksgiving orthat long weekend, we loaded up
the car my husband did, took thedogs, I hopped on a plane with
my boys and we left Californiato put roots down in North Texas
(01:49):
.
And what a scary move that wasand that is.
And honestly, when you lookback, it looks a lot scarier
than when you're actually goingthrough it, and I've talked
about that in previous episodes.
But really, 2024 was my firstfull year here and it has been
incredible to look at.
And I really want to talk aboutthe year, the quantum leap.
(02:12):
I want to share the lessons, Iwant to share the wins, but I
really want to touch on how Ihad to become a different person
by moving and how, ultimately,my quantum leap year happened
because I became a differentperson.
Now, do you need to move statesto become a different person?
No, so like, hear me out, butthe person who's talking to you
(02:32):
today is not the same Katie whowas talking to you in California
.
I have had to become adifferent person in order to
build what I have here now, andI told myself that when I hopped
on that plane, I told myselfyou got to be brave, you have to
put yourself out there.
You've got to be so vulnerableand just try and commit to the
(02:53):
decision that you're uprootingyour entire family to a new
state.
And I promised that to myself.
No one told me to do that, noone put that on me.
I did have a little bit of likeI would say like a download
from god who was like, if you'regonna do this, you better go
all in, girl.
And I did and I did.
And so to do that I had to benot like the katie in california
who would kind of dim herselfwhen she walked in rooms like,
(03:15):
believe it or not, as much as Ilike to talk, I was like I don't
want to ruffle feathers, Idon't want to get, get going,
and we all know I fucking hatesmall talk.
So I I'd always kind of keep tomyself Could not do that.
In Texas I had to observe andsee, like, could this person be
a good friend?
Could this person end up beinga friend?
Could this person be my vibe?
Like I had to observe and putmyself out there and I had to
(03:37):
ask people for phone numbers.
I'm like, how else am I gonnamake friends out here?
How else so I really did thatout here.
How else so I really did that?
And then once I met people andthey invited me over, like no
joke, the amount of bravery andcourage it took me to show up to
these strangers' houses with mytwo young boys could move me to
tears.
(03:57):
But I had to trust and havefaith, and so the reason why I
kept having to restart thisepisode like three times is
because I started to getemotional by the idea of how
supported I have been thisentire year in the biggest year
of growth, the biggest year offaith and the most doubt ever
was in 2024 and that God alwayshad my back.
(04:20):
I'm literally showing up topeople's houses hoping that,
like I hope I'm walking into agood thing here.
Do you know what I mean?
Like I met this person at theairport.
I met this person in a coffeeshop and guess what it's?
That hang time in betweenbranch.
If you're a monkey, that's myanalogy.
All the time God freakingdelivers, and he delivered more
(04:42):
and in more beautiful ways thanI ever ever saw coming.
I have closer friends here thatI've met at coffee shops, at
swim lessons, at the zoo, than Ido or have ever had in
California.
Now, if you're in California, feel my heart on this, but it's
wild.
I tell people that God broughtus to Texas, but I had to take
(05:05):
the action to do my part.
So, like you know the law ofaction, it is required for you
to get the dreams going, tomanifest the life you want.
You are required to take actionand I did that, and what has
unfolded just blows my mind.
So, moving to Texas, I had tobecome a different person.
(05:26):
I had to change in order tohave the life I live now.
I had to put myself out there.
I had to be incredibly braveand have a ton of courage and
trust in God.
Now that was my personal life, only my personal life, my
professional life, my business.
I did not take anythingdifferent to Texas in my
business.
(05:50):
Now, to get you up to speed,I've always had private paying
clients, but I dabbled inaffiliate marketing and digital
marketing when I moved to Texasbecause I needed something more
transactional and not so like Ihad masterminds before in
California and I had all thesedifferent containers that
required a lot of my time.
So when I moved, or when Iwanted to move, I was like what
is something transactional thatI can do to keep a roof over my
head All that?
So that's what I did.
And I landed in Texas and Ikind of was like I'm done, I
(06:13):
want to get back to doing my ownthing.
So I decided to do a digitalcourse.
I'm like, oh, I could create adigital course like a big
signature one.
I was talking about money atthe time.
I'm like I'm totally going todo this, and so I went all in on
that.
But I was not operating mybusiness any different than I
was in California and up untilthis point I have had success,
(06:34):
but in my mind I hadn't hadenough success.
In my mind I still treated mybusiness like it was new.
In my mind I still treated mybusiness like I was trying to
get my business off the ground.
When I was successful, I hadalready reached six figures and
was maintaining that, but Istill saw my business as not a
big deal.
And so when I had this digitalcourse idea and I threw
(06:55):
everything into it, that courseand my business was basically in
a pressure cooker.
I wanted everyone to funnelthrough in this one course and I
was like distraught when itwasn't happening.
I still had my private payingclients.
I love them so much.
Some have come, some have gone, but I was like why isn't more
people buying this amazingprogram that I created?
(07:17):
Like how it's gold.
It's gold, but in hindsight,everything's 2020.
In hindsight, I was like I hadthe universe's hands behind its
back, where it's like I onlywant to make money this way and
the universe was not deliveringand I'm like what the hell is
happening?
So this is taking me now intolike late spring and early
(07:38):
summer, and then finally in July, middle of summer, I have my I
am done moment.
I am fucking done.
I'm like I put all this timeand energy.
I have my I am done moment.
I am fucking done.
I'm like I put all this timeand energy into this.
I'm done.
I don't know what I want to donow, like I'm done talking about
money, I'm done with thecourses, I'm done with social
media.
I just want to chill out.
Literally, that was my exactthought.
(08:00):
I threw up my hands and I'mlike, I just want to fucking
chill out.
I thought it was all like Ilike threw up my hands and I'm
like I just want to fuckingchill out.
I'm done.
And guess what I did and thosewho are close to me or those who
have been following along, youknow I did that.
I got into things that I'vealways wanted to like shuffling
Dancing is the funnest thingever Started doing that, decided
to learn how to plant.
I started to paint.
I started to do more thingswith the boys, like they were
(08:20):
playing with Play-Doh.
So was I.
I literally was like I justwant to savor this time, these
moments.
I'm in a beautiful custom-builthouse that my husband and I
customized every inch of thisplace.
I'm on an acre and a half ofland.
The sunsets and sunrises hereare insane.
I have my horse at thisbeautiful property that I get to
ride whenever I damn wellplease.
Why the fuck am I worried aboutmy business?
(08:43):
Why the fuck am I so focused onmaking money a specific way,
when all I want to do is chillout.
So I chilled out and, oh my gosh, what changed?
First of all, it was scary ashell to stop.
I literally halted everything, and if you followed me on
Instagram, you probably rememberme talking about that.
I was actually open and honestabout how scary it was that I
(09:07):
was switching gears, that I waspivoting, that I was taking
everything I had created theentire year and putting pause on
it.
I was only keeping my privatepay clients and some of them
were then wrapping up with me atthat time, and so that was even
scarier because I was like Idon't know if they're going to
renew.
They're not sure if they'regoing to renew.
So what does this look like?
And that two weeks of time inme chilling out, doing more
(09:30):
things that I wanted to do thatlit me up, wanting to feel the
way I wanted to feel and spendtime with my boys and doing
whatever I wanted and just befocused on where I was at that
time.
Be where your feet are.
If you will Not let my mindwander about stupid stuff, I
just let my mind focus withwhere my feet were In those two
weeks of time.
What happened next blows my mindstill to this day.
(09:52):
I had three one-on-one peoplefunnel in within a 48-hour
period.
One was a repeat and then twowere brand new and they really
loved the stuff I was talkingabout with miracle frequency,
slowing down, chilling out, scaling your business by
chilling out and just hittingpause, and at that time I was
loving my life so much that I'mlike I don't know if I actually
(10:16):
want to even do this.
I don't know if I want to goback to having private pay
clients, because it's a lot oftime and a hell of a lot of
energy, but the biggesttransformation happens and I
love that.
So I'm like if I'm going tosacrifice my time and energy or
take it away from doing whatI've been doing with planting,
riding my horse, spending timewith my kids, things like that
(10:38):
I'm going to raise my prices.
That's what I decided to do.
Riding my horse, spending timewith my kids, things like that
I'm going to raise my prices.
That's what I decided to dowhen no one on God's green earth
would have told me to do that.
They would have been likeyou're down on money right now,
take whatever you can get.
But I said no, fuck that youwant to work with me.
This is the price.
This is the price.
And all three of them said yes,and so I had a cash injection
(11:01):
of 7x in a matter of 48 hoursfrom a two-week period of me
chilling out.
Now I was like, okay, universe, okay God, I see you.
I see what's happening here now.
I now know the rules of the game.
But get this I've been sayingfor a long time now these are
the rules of the game, you justgotta follow them.
That's actually incorrect, andI'm here to tell you that the
(11:23):
rules are for my game.
You need to do the work to findthe rules for your game, and
that is your life's purpose.
So my life's purpose iscontinuously finding and
refining the rules and figuringout the rules of the game I'm
trying to play to where I wannago.
My game's different than yourgame.
Even if we both want $100,000 amonth, our games are different.
(11:46):
Your rules to your game to$100,000 a month is very
different than my rules to$100,000 a month, and that's why
working with private clients isactually one of my most
favorite things to do, because Iget to help you define the
rules, I get to help youdiscover them and then play by
them, and it's a lot of trialand error.
That's why a lot of myone-on-one clients I'm like six
(12:07):
months we're getting ramped up.
We need 12 months to really getyou into that momentum and
start seeing some big wins.
The first six months we'rewarming up.
The last six months it's likegame on full throttle, let's go.
And that's why private payingclients are like my absolute
favorite.
But what happened from there, myfriends, is a lot of people
(12:27):
were coming to me and they werelike hey, I like what you're
doing, I like your vibe.
How do I get this in mybusiness?
And I started doing what I'mreally good at a strategy.
You know this, you know this.
And I started backing peopleinto their number without them
having to sacrifice more time oreffort or hours.
So then what happened next isreferrals started coming out of
(12:50):
the woodwork, out of nowhere, because I was getting people
these insane results I'm talking35, 40, 50% lift in revenue
without relying on newvisibility or clients yes, you
heard that right.
And so people are naturallyreferring me without me doing
anything.
People would probably be somaybe some are are probably so
(13:12):
confused by my social mediabecause it's not as huge as my
original social media with KatieSmith, but I make more money
now than I ever have and I'mworking less, and so are my
clients.
They're coming to me, they'resuccessful.
They're like I want to doublethis, but I don't know how
because I'm tapped out, I'm atmy limit and I go let me just do
(13:36):
this.
Let me do that.
I run my strategy, I do all thethings that I need to.
I gather the information fromthem, I come up with some ideas
of how to do this, change this, tweak, this, slice this up, boom
, boom, boom.
Deliver it to them.
And it's an easy thing thatthey can implement with their
team or themselves, or I do.
It Depends on what the person'slooking for and they start
seeing money within a weekbecause of what I'm so good at
(13:57):
doing and I'm not here to liketoot my own horn.
It's just been so much freakingfun and I haven't had to work
anymore either, because I'm atime management professional.
If you don't know that, like, Iam a time management expert and
I do not budge and it like killsme when people have such a hard
time with this, but it's justheavy on the boundaries and it's
(14:22):
not willing to take yourselfout of alignment by telling
yourself you need to have to.
You should you need to any ofthese bullshit things that you
think you have to do?
It's not it at all.
You just have to follow onething that's being in your
alignment and your alignment.
How do you get into youralignment?
How do you find your purpose?
It's your joy.
What are you excited about?
What is it?
And no, it's not money.
I know you're going to say that,I know it.
No, it's not money.
(14:43):
It's actually what lights youup.
And maybe you're going to tellme it's your kids.
Well then, go spend more timewith your kids.
But I bet you it's connection,I bet you it's love, I bet you
it's nurturing.
If someone tells me it'sfurther than that, of course my
(15:05):
kids.
I freaking adore them.
They do light me up.
That is joy.
So I'll spend time with them.
But then something else happensand then I actually am like
let's do this or whatever.
It's the creative outlet.
You have to go further than thesurface level, whatever your
brain wants to give you.
Also, unless you're seasoned atthis, your brain will give you
the answer of I don't know, Idon't have time for joy.
Maybe that's happening to youright now.
You're like yep, that's it, joy.
Yeah, good one, katie, I needto make money.
(15:25):
Yeah, I get it.
That's why we have a lot ofwork to do, and so let me break
this down for you simply thisquantum leap year.
First of all, I was like when isthis going to happen for me?
Like, is it going to happen?
I was so ready for this in 2020when I started my business, but
I'm so happy it happened nowbecause it was supposed to.
(15:46):
But what happened was I gotclarity and you're probably
thinking, yeah, clarity on yourgoals, I got it.
No, I got clarity on how Iwanted to feel, and I wanted to
feel rich with ease.
I wanted to feel freedom.
I wanted to feel like life justflowed.
I wanted to feel like I wasgetting paid to exist.
I was sick of doing the havetos, the shoulds, all these
things that I thought was goingto get me farther ahead, which
(16:07):
just left me feeling burnt outand over it.
The second thing is I had toreally dial in my energy.
You know we are all energy.
That is what everything is.
It's energy.
Energy has no bounds.
Energy cannot be destroyed.
Energy just transmutes.
So I started getting reallyclear on my own energy.
(16:28):
As I moved here, I had to be adifferent person the way I held
myself and handled myself, walking into different rooms, to
coffee shops, to whatever.
I had to have my energy and myattitude right.
So I took that into my businessin every part of my life.
Can I leave the room betterthan I walked into it?
How can I show up as myselfright now, today?
You know, I actually just got myhair done today and I was
(16:49):
wearing eyeshadow.
And my hairdresser she's socute, she's like you look so
pretty today.
Oh my gosh.
And I was like you know what'sso funny is I never used to let
myself wear eyeshadow because Ithought I'd be too extra.
Like look at her wearingeyeshadow, like ugh, like we're
just moms, can't we just like Idon't even have mascara on today
.
Like I fell into that and I'mlike I feel better when I put my
stuff together and I put a cuteoutfit on, like I feel better.
(17:12):
So why am I going to not dothat?
So I can fit in with otherpeople who, like, shame other
moms for doing what makes themfeel better, and that comes down
to just stop dimming your light.
If you want to wear the redlipstick because it's Christmas
time, wear the fucking redlipstick, okay, like, do the
things, take up the space, takeup the attention, because it's
you being you, rather than doingwhat I used to always do, like
(17:35):
I'm trying to dim it.
I don't want to be too loud, Idon't want too much attention, I
don't want to like what?
Fuck that noise.
So fuck that noise.
So my energy.
Step two was like I'm showing upas me and we are just wrapping
up or by the time this is livewe have wrapped up the 21 day
challenge I just had, which isso epic.
It was so cool for me to walkpeople through everything I've
(17:56):
done, like in a more detailedlevel than I am right now in
this episode of my quantum leapyear.
And my quantum leap yearhappened because I've changed as
a person.
It's no accident.
The amount of growth I've hadhere, moving my family to Texas,
is exactly why I've had myquantum leap year, because I was
forced to change by movingstates.
(18:18):
Do you have to do that tochange?
Absolutely not, but that was mycircumstance.
That was part of my game, right, the rules of my game.
And then I realized I need toapply these rules to my business
and stop putting so muchpressure on how I want to make
money and just start doingthings that light me up and have
good energy around it.
And then the last part, which isthe most important, is taking
(18:38):
action.
I had to put myself out there.
I had to chill out.
Chilling out is an action.
By the way, action doesn't meanlet me do more.
Action can be doing less.
You are taking action and doingless.
A lot of that is upstairs, though, in your brain, right,
trying to be okay with relaxing.
When people think aboutrelaxing, they're thinking about
like laying on the beach andlike falling asleep or laying in
(18:59):
front of the TV and numbing out.
That's not the relaxing I'mtalking about.
Can you just ground yourselfinto where you are in this life
and find what's fucking good init, rather than complain about
what's not good?
That's relaxing.
So step three is action, andthose three things I just talked
to you about the clarity andfeeling, the energy, and then
the action was the formula formy quantum leap year, and it's
(19:24):
just the beginning, like becausenow I know the rules of my game
and you have to find out therules for your game.
So I want to circle back on theclarity on how the feeling
happens, because, as we'reheading into 2025, it's very
common for people to want topick a word for the year, and
I'm going to challenge you to dosomething different if that's
something that you've done inthe past.
People usually pick a word forthe year, and I'm going to
(19:44):
challenge you to do somethingdifferent if that's something
that you've done in the past.
People usually pick a wordbecause they want to have that
be like their theme for the yearand almost be their reset when,
like, shit hits the fan.
So then the word helps themrecalibrate to whatever their
vision was for that year.
You following me.
Well, instead of focusing on aword for the year and the
definition and all that stuff, why don't you focus on a feeling
(20:07):
for the year 2025?
How do you want it to feel andcan that be your reset when
things are bad, when thingsaren't going as planned, when
you want to recalibrate?
Can you tap into the feelingyou wanted the year to be,
rather than the word thatsounded really cool at the
beginning of 2025.
And now you're like youcouldn't talk me into this if I
(20:29):
tried, because the trick herelove, my love.
The trick is having it be soeasy on your.
I give up moments Like it's soeasy where you're like.
I can do this even though I'mfucking pissed.
The world is crashing down, butI can still choose to feel
peace.
I can still choose to feelcontent because I'm breathing.
(20:53):
I can still choose to feelspoiled because I'm still alive,
like what is it for you?
What is it?
Because you need to find thatout and then have that be your
word to get you taking as manyhits and reps of that word and
that feeling you can going into2025 and throughout 2025.
(21:16):
So, ultimately, what it boilsdown to is it's not about doing
more.
It's actually about being more.
It's about changing who you are, embodying that person.
It's about stepping into theversion of yourself who already
has the success of everythingthat you want, everything you're
dreaming of, and then watch howquickly your reality shifts.
(21:37):
I'm walking proof of it.
This quantum leap for me, isjust the beginning.
I can't even tell you howexcited I am for what 2025 is
going to have in store, but I'mnot worried about that because I
know it's going to feel fuckingepic.
So I'm bringing you along forthe ride.
I would love, love, love tohear how this landed for you.
Dm me, let me know.
(21:58):
I know your leap is coming soon.
Just remember change can happenso fast when you align with
your true self.
So let's take 2025 and make ityour year and just remember your
year can be clarity on therules of your game.
Your year might be a 7x year.
Your year might be a 10x, 20xyear.
(22:18):
So just focus on the feeling.
Learn the rules of your gameand know that learning the rules
of the game that you want toplay and you want to win at is
your life's purpose.
So anchor that in and know thatyou're not behind.
You're exactly where you need tobe and like let's buckle up,
buttercup.
You know what I mean.
You know what I mean.
I love you so much.
