Hello, hello.
Welcome back to she IsRedefined podcast.

(01:07):
How are you doing, gosh?
It feels like it's been a minutesince I've sat down and
recorded a solo episode, and Iknow it took like a week off
there, but my parents were intown.
It was so, so fun to have themcome into town and just always
show them new areas of Texas, aswe've discovered this place,
and have my mom stay a coupledays later.
She's so kind.
She decided to stay three days, four days actually, later than

(01:30):
planned.
My dad went home because myhorse actually had to have a
second surgery.
Yeah, you're hearing that right.
He actually had white linedisease in his front left hoof,
which was what we thought was anabscess.
So if you follow me onInstagram, you know that I've
been talking about that.
But it turned out it was whiteline disease.
And get this.
It took four vets.

(01:50):
By the time I had the fourthvet out he's the one who's like
this is not an abscess, this iswhite line disease, and white
line disease does not cureitself.
You got to cut that sucker out.
So it's basically a diseasedpart of the hoof that separates
the outer hoof wall from theinner hoof wall, and you got to
get that infection out bycutting part of the outer hoof
out.
And so now poor guy is in hisstall for like at least a month,

(02:13):
possibly two, and it's just.
Oh, I thought he was handlingstall rest well, because he was
after his first surgery, but itturns out he was just in so much
pain Like it's not, I'm notlaughing, but he was in so much
pain that he just didn't want toget out.
And now that he's feelingcompletely himself, he's like
get me out of here, get me outof here.
And I'm like I'm so sorry, Ican't.
Anyways, things are finally.

(02:35):
Finally there's the dark cloudhas been lifted off of my horse
in the barn where I keep him at,and I feel brighter skies ahead
.
So, anyways, I hope you'redoing beautifully.
What else can I fill you on?
Oh, my gosh, my oldest turnedfour.
That's crazy, like crying overthat, but it's also such a gift.
I'm so lucky to have afour-year-old.

(02:55):
I always say, from both sides ofthe coin, you can always look
at something in a sad way oralso in a grateful way.
Okay, I want to talk to youabout power moves and how to own
your power and command asuccess in your life, and this
isn't a strategy that you canjust go plug and play.
All of a sudden, boom, you'regoing to now have all these

(03:17):
crazy results.
This isn't something like that.
This is an embodimentconversation that, when I
shifted it.
My results did change.
Everything in my world didshift, and I'm not talking just
with my finances and business.
Every encounter I had wasalways in my favor, and I talk a

(03:37):
lot about that on my she IsRedefined Instagram handle.
If you're not following me overthere, definitely head over
there, because it's just whenyou realize where you're giving
power away and then how you canclaim it, everything in your
world starts falling into place.
So I want to tell you a littlestory about when I first started
my business and if you're an OG, you probably know but I used

(03:57):
to think if I just continued toput in the hours and worked
harder and if I proved myselfenough, then success would
naturally follow.
And yes, I've talked about thisin the past, but I think we need
to tie it back to how thisplays with your power and how it
played with mine.
So I would took every clientwho showed interest.

(04:18):
I'd answer direct messages atall hours of the day, I would
bend over backwards to makesales happen or to get a new
client on, and the entire time Iwas exhausted, I was
undercharging and I was honestlyfeeling very stuck overall,
like I wasn't feeling like I hadmade it or I even had a

(04:38):
successful business because Iwasn't operating it like that.
And then I had this one clientwho was not a dream client.
She was more demanding, alwaysneeding one more thing, one more
thing, a lot of inconvenience,a lot of pushing the boundaries.
And the kicker is she was mylowest paying client but she

(04:58):
actually required the most workout of me and I hate to say, she
was a headache.
But it just wasn't the best fitand I knew that at the start.
That's the thing.
I knew that.
But I was too afraid to not takethe sale in the first place and
I was also afraid of lettingthat client go.
So I told myself well, at leastI'm making money, at least I'm

(05:19):
growing my business, at leastI'm building my business.
But I finally had to snap outof that.
I was on a call with her andinstead of me doing my typical
kind of like you know, beingokay with her pushing the
boundaries, I was continuouslybending over backwards.
I stood my ground and I saidthis is actually how this works

(05:40):
and if this is not a fit anymore, then maybe we need to go our
separate ways.
And she actually did not lovethat feedback and agreed and
we're fine.
Now.
Nothing's weird between her andI and I still believe that she
listens to my podcast but we hadto both take a hard look.

(06:00):
It wasn't just me, it was alsoher.
She was feeling like she wasneeding something else, and so
this was also like my first yearin business, and so I was
learning.
I was learning how to do thingssuper green in a lot of ways, a
rookie, if you will and she wasalso starting her business, and
so she didn't really fullyunderstand what it would be like

(06:22):
to work close, but she wantedclose proximity.
But after we had thatconversation, I signed a dream
client, I think, maybe two weekslater, and it was triple the
price All because I decided tohave the difficult conversation
read the tea leaves, if you will.
Then I had the difficultconversation, and I did that for

(06:43):
both of us, because I don'tthink she would have brought it
up, because we were both kind oflike these, like newer in
business.
She wanted to learn everythingfrom me, but it was not very
clear or clean.
It was kind of messy, and so inthat moment, the biggest thing
that I learned was I was givingmy power away to her to money.

(07:04):
I was not building the businesswhere I attract and I have
boundaries in place and that I'mnot reliant on money, because
money is an abundant resource.
I don't have to worry or stressor take any kind of client I
can get.
And I had been waiting forsomeone else to tell me how to
run my business and how toreally take on clients who are

(07:29):
the best match, and that's whynow I have an application
process, by the way, like I waslike waiting for someone, the
way I was waiting for someone,it was like I was waiting for
dream clients all of a sudden tofind me.
And I was waiting for a certaintime when I hit a certain
milestone where, all of a sudden, things would be effortless and
people would respect myboundaries and I don't need the

(07:49):
money I attract.
And it was like no, no, no, no,katie, I had to decide that for
myself and start operating asthat myself.
So the biggest lesson I learnedis power is not given, it's
claimed.
You don't wait for it, you takeit.
Most women in business don'teven realize that they're doing

(08:10):
this.
You might be thinking, oh well,I've never had that experience
or I don't really give my poweraway.
I feel like I'm in power, I'vegot my power, but let's do a
little quick check, okay.
Are you saying yes to clientswho aren't actually aligned just
because you're afraid ofturning down money, like I was
just sharing with you?
Or are you setting your pricesbased on what you think people

(08:31):
will buy instead of what youactually deserve?
Are you waiting for yourcontent to go quote viral before
you believe in your authorityas the business owner that you
are?
Are you low-key, hoping peoplewill see your value instead of
you embodying it?
Do you have people who arewalking all over you, no

(08:52):
boundaries, and you're justsaying it's okay because you're
getting paid from them?
This is the real conversationand here's a real gut check.
How often are you waiting forsomeone else to validate your
work, give you words ofaffirmation, before you move
with confidence in how you showup?
Are you relying on your 3Dexternal environment to prove

(09:14):
that you're worthy, to provethat you can increase your
prices because you are gettingwords of affirmations,
compliments, wins from yourclients?
This was me for way too longand honestly, it was a power
leak.
It sucked.
It was an energy suck and whenyou're waiting for that external
validation, you're givingsomeone else control over your

(09:36):
success.
You're saying I'll believe inmyself when they believe in me
first, and that's why yourresults aren't exactly where you
want them to be.
So where in your business areyou waiting for permission
instead of taking your power andmaking your power move?
So to me, I see this shifthappen in my clients all the
time, and it's the moment wheneverything clicks where all of a

(10:01):
sudden they go game over.
I'm done.
I had a client who kept loweringher prices because she was
afraid of rejection and losingher repeat buyers and the bulk
of my business are repeat buyers, by the way, I don't know if
any of y'all know that.
I think I've talked a littlebit about that.
And so there's renewals thathappen, and so for this client,
every time a renewal wouldhappen, she would lower her

(10:21):
price because she was so afraidof losing the client and losing
that recurring income.
So this client of mine, when itwould come up for renewal, she
would always offer a discountfor people to continue to stay.
Or if she would get inquiriesfrom possibly new clients,
potential new clients the secondshe mentioned price she would

(10:43):
get in her head about the energyand she'd immediately offer a
discount before they evenresponded to the price.
And guess what?
She wasn't signing any newclients, people weren't renewing
with her and she'd get ghostedall the time.
And then, of course, that wouldsend her into a frenzy, which I
don't blame her, I used to bethat.
So we had to flip the scriptentirely.
I had her practice owning herprice.
I had her saying it withconviction and standing firm

(11:07):
through the work that we dointimately.
And then what happened next isshe signed her next client full
price of what she wants tocharge and a pay in full, at no
hesitation, like dream clientdropping in.
And the reason is because whenyou own the outcome, people

(11:28):
trust you more and people feelthat there's a lot of times
where clients come to me andthey have an idea for a business
or they have an idea for anoffer and they way undercharge
it.
Now take this with some context.
When you're launching somethingand you don't have a cohort who
is experienced yet, you have toplay the strategy to get some

(11:48):
actual, real testimonials andall that.
We're not talking about that.
I'm talking about women whohave this idea and it sounds
brilliant.
And from the woman who'stalking to me I'm like oh, I bet
you she's going to tell me thatthis thing is going to be like
$2,000 plus and the words thatcome out of her mouth for like
an eight-week program she'stalking about like $500.
And I'm like whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

(12:09):
People actually won't buy thatbecause you give off a vibe that
you're luxury, that you're highend, that you're expensive and
you would get a lot of value.
And then when people see thatsticker price, you're not going
to be calling in dream clientswith $500 for eight weeks of
your time.
That is not a match because aboss babe who wants high level,

(12:29):
close proximity to learn someawesome stuff is going to look
at that and go, wow, what am Igoing to get out of that?
Eight weeks, $500.
And so it depends on what thecontainer is, what it looks like
, and are you actually pricingyourself with how your energy,
is your worth and your knowledge?
When you start moving like awoman who knows she's worth it,

(12:51):
the entire game changes.
You stop asking and startdeciding Clients, money,
opportunities.
They start to chase you insteadof you chasing them.
You walk into every room orevery negotiation or every sales
conversation knowing that youdon't need to prove yourself.
You just are.
You are that woman.

(13:11):
You command a presence becauseyou're walking in your power,
like when I negotiated my cardeal.
I just got a brand new car.
I walked into that whole entiresituation knowing I was getting
the deal that I wanted, notlike hoping, wishing, praying,
not letting them play theirstupid head games with me
because I am so good at salesand negotiating that I know
exactly how to play the game.

(13:32):
No, I walked in knowing andbecause I owned that outcome.
I got over $6,000 for my oldcar, which like when does that
ever happen?
My trade-in, and I got $15,000off my dream car.
No hesitation, signed deal.
What is that Deal?
Signed, delivered, whatever thesaying is, boom.

(13:54):
Even the general manager waslike I have never seen a deal
like this before.
Like way to go.
And it wasn't with a man.
I'm a woman, I went in bymyself.
This is what happens when youmove with certainty.
People feel it.
We are all energy.
People feel energy, theyrespect it and they match your
energy.
And one thing that I talk withmy clients about all the time is

(14:15):
can you be 1% more in yourfavor, holding your energy just
a percentage higher than theother person in the room or
other people in the room.
It doesn't take 20, 30, 40, 50%of you outweighing anyone.
It actually is a minute smallsome would say negligible
difference that changes thescales entirely, shifts it

(14:38):
entirely into your favor.
So you might be thinking ohyeah, I've heard this before,
it's just another cool mindsetthing.
No, it's actually not.
This is all embodiment.
You need to embody this power, your power.
And here's how you can startthis today.
Why don't you just stop waitingfor the perfect moment and just
start deciding right now?
Power moves aren't made withpermission.
They're made with conviction.

(14:59):
So start doing that today.
Number two set the standard.
You don't wait to see peopleand see how they're gonna treat
you.
You teach them how to treat youwith how you're embodying your
energy in every situation.
You own the room, you own yourprice, you own your energy.
And now, the last but not least, stop over explaining yourself

(15:21):
and start embodying.
Powerful people don't need toconvince they command.
Your energy says more thanwords ever could.
So which one of these are yougoing to implement?
First?
I want to hear it all.
I just shared it with you Again.
I'll do a quick recap.
Number one decide instead ofwaiting.
Number two set the standard.
Number three stop overexplaining and start embodying.

(15:43):
I want to know which one you'regoing to implement first,
because I promise you, when youmove like a woman who expects
success and no, this is againnot some cool little mindset
trick, it's embodiment Thingsshow up every single time, every
single time, like it'll shockyou.
It'll shock you.
So, to wrap this up, power isnot something that you're given,

(16:04):
my friend, it's something thatyou claim.
The second you stop playingsmall and start making power
moves, everything changes.
Okay, if this episode hit homefor you, I want to hear about it
, just like.
Leave me a five-star review orwrite the word power in a review
, whatever it home for you.
I want to hear about it Justlike leave me a five-star review
or write the word power in areview, whatever lands for you.
Dm me the word power.
Like.
I want to know if you gotanything out of this and this is

(16:26):
a really fun conversation,because I'm realizing that
there's a lot of people who wishthey had more power, but they
don't know how to step into it,and yo girl over here is like
all about that stuff.
Okay, well, I love you so much, thank you for being here and I
will catch you here next week.
Bye.
