(00:01):
Howdy!
It's the Southern Senpai Show.
Where small town southerners explorebig time Japanese entertainment.
Anime, manga, and everything in between.
Here's your hosts, Nicholas and DJ.

(00:24):
What's going on y'all?
Southern Senpais here.
I'm Nicholas.
I'm DJ, and we're two southern guysexploring Japanese culture together.
What are we doing today, Nicholas?
We are doing EPO episodes 22 through 30.
Nope, we're doing episodes 21 to 30.

(00:45):
21 to 30.
Yep!
So alright, so he's fighting Hayama.
Hayama.
Hayama.
Hayama.
To set the stage for this, Hayama!
Hayama is a pretty boy.
Hayama!
Are you good?
Yeah, I'm fine.

(01:06):
Oh, sorry, go ahead.
Hayama.
Hayama!
That's like what he's saying.
No, go ahead.
Hayama, are you good?
Yeah, I'm fine, I didn't say anything.
All right Ippo arrives to this matchwith Hayama, and he's a pretty boy,

(01:31):
and he's got This shotgun punch.
With all of these girl fans, andIppo's friends are like Man, I
might want to cheer for Hayama.
They actually got a lot of Theyfeel like they want to fight him
because he gets all the girls.
But then they're like, butthere are a lot of girls here.
So they feel like, oh, if wecheer with them, they'll like us.
Then, Hayama is really confidentBecause he's never lost.

(01:56):
Hayama's never lost before.
Hayama's never lost before, and nobody'seven presented a challenge to him.
Yes.
He's that cocky Yes a secret weapon calledthe shotgun which Ippo saw beforehand and
then experienced for himself Firsthandbecause he's an in fighter and he went
in and he got hit with the uppercut andit's okay cool So my plan is to counter

(02:20):
When he tries to do that uppercut punch.
So The training that Ippo hasgone under these last few times
Is his darting and dashing.
What Ippo has been training sohard for, Is, whenever he comes for
that infighter killer, The upperleft, it's like a left uppercut.

(02:40):
That's from the hip.
He needs to be able tododge that or he's done.
Or he'll get hit with a shotgun.
Or he's done and then and thisguy also if that doesn't happen,
he'll just throw a shotgun punch.
Anyway What's your girl?
The basically so the fight goeson and epo's getting his ass
kicked Yeah per usual per usual.

(03:03):
It seems to be like a trend here withthe fights where it's Epo ghost in
the fight has trained really wellAnd then just gets his ass kicked
in for the first couple of rounds.
Yeah, like he forgets everything.
He just forgets everything and then it'slike most Emily, Oh my god, I love boxing.
I remember now.
I remember.
It's okay, we've been doing thisfor two months and you forgot?

(03:24):
Now I'm not a professional boxer,so maybe it's a little different.
Yeah.
It's probably all the brain damage.
I'm just gonna go ahead andsay it on on a limb here.
It's probably what's happening and he'sonly 16 I don't know at this point.
I think he's 17 now.
Is he 17?
Yeah, he's 17 now Because one thingI will say it's like they do so
much with oh the movement of timeBecause months here months there.

(03:44):
He's been boxing for what likea year now with this he gets his
ass beat for a while, and thenhe starts to get the hang of it.
Because Hayama's this is justanother dude I gotta beat.
I'll get my adoring fans, and it'llbe These women are like, crazy, too.
They're like, every time I,Ipoh hits him, they're like, No!
No, you can't hit him, he'stoo attractive, we'll kill you!

(04:07):
And it's dang, bro.
It's a little much.
It's crazy.
Yeah, it's a little much.
But that's almost that, that remindsme of You would think Michael
Jackson's doing a half bowl, ahalf time super bowl out there.
Calling girls fish.
You're right.
That, that reminds me of what's the bigstar right now for one of the singers
was, had that chick on stage and itwas like a seven year relationship.

(04:29):
Oh, that went down the toilet?
Yeah.
I don't know.
It was some rapper where thisguy and this girl were together.
They're at the front row andclearly the girl's a fan.
She bum rushes to stage andthen this guy like starts making
out with her like behind stagebecause she bum rushed on stage.
And the guy's just sitting there really?
Did you just run up there?
That was the end of aseven year relationship.

(04:49):
And that just goes to show you, man.
You like.
You gotta buy your own tickets, alright?
You gotta ask her like, It'sYou gotta ride in separate cars.
And not only that You can't, youdon't, you should never get her front
row tickets to her favorite artist.
Because if her favorite artistgives her that shot, especially
if that's her one pass, dog.
What are you doing?
Same with same with, at the Super Bowl.
Yeah bro, I would never.

(05:11):
If my girl's favorite singer was Usher, can I have some backstage Usher tickets?
No.
No.
No, but why?
Okay.
All right, because you'reprobably if you get the chance.
Call me insecure if you want to butit's more like yeah, just say it just
like This guy's Usher and I'm not Andif Usher wants you're going to fuck him.

(05:32):
Yeah, what's the craziest part?
It's you know this guythis boxer guy This Hayama.
He doesn't even interactwith these ladies.
He just like brushes them off.
He like does not care at all.
But that's why they like him so much.
Oh, that's true.
That's true.
It's the you can't have me mentality.
And so Ippo Beats him and they arenot, his fangirls are not happy at all.

(05:55):
They are very upset, but there'sanother one of those things where he's
one of the So it's, what's interestingabout him is that he doesn't have
one of those super sad backstorieslike the previous fighters do.
But what he does, like even when hewas fighting Miata in like his own gym.
That rebel guy.
His sad backstory is that his dad wasa really talented boxer but his dad

(06:15):
gave up because his type of boxing.
His dad's boxing style didn'tmake him a world champ.
So his dad gave up on boxingand Miata's I'm a child prodigy.
I want to show that my dad'sfighting style was actually good.
Everyone has these sad backstories.
Him, he was just like, I'mjust a really hard worker.
He was in it like he's notlike a lazy pretty boy.
He like trains super hard when everyone'sgone He's still in the gym hitting

(06:37):
it just a down to earth guy who?
Doesn't care about anyone else, but yeah,I mean he still loses so he loses And
at first, he thinks that's it for him.
He thinks that's it.
One loss.
One loss.
This guy has twenty wins.
One loss.
It's all over.
It's all over.

(06:58):
The girls are Hayama is.
And then then, just as quickly as hewas devastated, he was like, Ah, I'm
all the greatest fighters I've lost.
And he was like, Yeah, man.
Yeah, of course like name like ifMuhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Sugar Ray
Leonard Can all have L's on their record.

(07:18):
I think you'll be fine.
You'll be fine FloydMayweather Ray Jones jr.
They all have L's on their record.
Not a bunch of them, obviously.
Not a bunch.
But they got three Like Maximum, probably.
Actually, I don't know, I don'tknow their records as well, but I
don't remember either one of themhaving, any of the people I've
named having more than seven losses.
I don't remember that.

(07:38):
No.
No.
But, but, then after that hefights Miata, Miata faces the
Hitman style scary psychopath guy.
Yeah, his name is Mashiba.
Now here's something interestingabout, Mashiba and Miyada.
This episode 22, 23, and 24 was focusingon, it switches to where Ippo is not
the main character, and it focuses onMiyada, as he prepares for the semi

(08:02):
finals against Mishiba, and, Mashiba.
And, Ippo, this whole time, he sees thisgirl from afar, who's like working at
a bakery, who he's like really into.
And then, after the match, because therewas a lot of girls that liked Miata,
and he was kinda popular, so then he'sOh, hey, there's no reason for you to
be sad that Miata lost that other guy,he's a bum you know what I'm saying?

(08:24):
He's like a really bad guy, and shegoes, Don't talk shit about my brother.
He's oh, I'm gonna fight you, brother.
I'm fighting him next.
Ha.
It's a weird time to tell you this.
Not only am I gonna talk shit, but I'm about to beat his ass.
Ha.
Yeah, it's The fight between Miyadaand Mashiba, how would you describe it?
I would describe it as Really great, but also at the end, Mashiba is just

(08:51):
the dirty Yeah, I mean he Steps on hisfoot, Miata's foot and breaks it because
Miata was going to beat him, right?
And he sets on Miata's foot and breaksit and the great thing about Miata is
because Ippo only won the last fightbecause he was like, oh I had to stick
it out and win So that way because evenIppo and Miata made a promise that they
face each other in the finals, right?

(09:11):
Be true that, I promise, that'swhat's been driving Ippo, right?
But now, me honest Ippo tries so hard,I don't want to let my friend down.
It's really sad.
Yeah.
So he goes out there, unable to standon one leg, and fights this guy.
His dad tells him listen, youshould just throw the match, okay?
You have too many greatyears of boxing left.
You have a great future ahead of you.

(09:32):
You don't want to ruin itby getting too injured.
You don't want to ruin it byinjuring your foot too much.
Just, listen, this is justa rookie championship.
You have years of pro boxing ahead of you.
Don't ruin that.
But it's Pops, I got that dog in me.
I got to.
I promised Depot.
I promised Depot.
I got that dog in me, Pops.

(09:53):
Sorry.
I got the dog in me.
So then what's also quite interestingis that even though So Mashable has like
this like hitman style with the flickerjab that again is based off of like
almost all special moves in here and allthe special moves and boxing styles are
based off of exclusively American boxing.
So clearly there's a lovefor American boxing here.

(10:13):
And but he, one thing I will say is that.
He does get scared of Miata at the end.
Miata fails to Cuz he'sgot that green in his eyes.
Yeah, this is the thing that's beenhappening where they get a green look in
their eyes, they're like, oh, that look!
And it like, scares thisevil guy, he's whoa!
Cuz Miata almost wins!
Miata almost wins, and then Mishima it'sreally plot armor how he doesn't win.

(10:36):
And he gets he gets, obviously, MiataBecause, you're thinking watching
the anime, this is what I thoughtgoing into it, like alright, cool
let's see the interesting way Miyadawins, and then we'll get to see Him
and his best friend fight in the end.
But he doesn't win.
Yeah, and you're like, yo, it makesyou hate this villain, it's such,
it's actually pretty good writing.

(10:57):
It's me and my friend, we're bothdistant rivals, so we're gonna fight
each other in the championships.
And then, boom, the villain takes outyour best friend, and now you can't
even fight your best friend, you can'tmeet your best friend at the top, right?
You can't test your skill againstthe person who's motivating you.
And Miata's dad didn't lethim in the room after he lost.

(11:18):
So he hasn't even Because Ippo runsto him and was like, Hey, he just lost
hey, I'm trying to talk to him, right?
And he's he doesn't want to talk to you.
He has a message for you, though.
Yeah.
And he says, I'm sorry.
That's all he wants tosay, but you can't see him.
That's bro.
That's crazy.
And then Ippo gets like really upset.

(11:39):
This is the first time we actually seehim angry in the whole anime where he
gets like super pissed Like he likedents a vending machine with a punch.
He's like I'm going to murderthis guy In fact episode 27
is named death match, right?
So and then the thing is so theytrain for their match, right?
And the thing is also even thoughthis guy's evil this Mashiba He

(12:02):
also has a super sad backstory.
He's got the crazy.
So anyway, the what happensis Ippo breaks his hand.
They're we'll say the backstory first.
Oh, okay.
So the backstory for the Mashiba, for Mashiba, is really sad.
So first of all, he's the olderbrother of the girl that Ippo's

(12:22):
in love with, like his crush.
His, their parents, they're dead, right?
Yeah, so their parents died.
And no one would help them, so So nowMashiba Has to box to take care of them.
He doesn't really want to box?
He doesn't really want to.
But every job he goes for, he keepsgetting laid off because he's so

(12:43):
bitter and jaded about the factthat nobody wants to help them.
It's also because he has a record.
So he went to juvie whenhis parents were alive.
And then he got out, but he servedhis time as a criminal, right?
But people had that stereotype abouthim that he's a criminal because of
his previous record that every jobhe gets, they fire him afterwards.
Now, I don't know howthey run things in Japan.

(13:05):
I am not Japanese.
But here in America, weusually run background checks
first before we hire them.
First, before, but andhis sister is super nice.
Yeah, she cooks for him, she doeseverything for him, and he's like people
keep forgetting about us, they keeppushing us aside, and I keep getting
fired because they view me as a criminal, and then they basically bully me at
my work, they keep bullying me it'scrazy, cause he's like the evil guy,

(13:28):
but honestly, these people are bullyingHave turned him into the evil guy.
Cause This is who he has to be to survive.
And he's 18.
Raising his, younger sister who's 17.
She's like the same age as Ippo.
So He's like people keep treatingme like a criminal and that turns
him into a Into a bad guy, right?

(13:49):
He doesn't really want to fight Hejust wants to make money for him and
his sister's like you don't have tobox She feels really bad cuz he's oh,
you don't have to box I don't wantyou to get hurt on my aspect and I can
totally see this as me being an olderbrother I totally relate to him when
he's look, it doesn't matter if I gethurt I need to take care of you, right?
And that means that I got a boxand get beat up all the time and da
Then, I gotta do what I gotta do,and I promise you, once I'm champion,

(14:12):
this will never happen again.
I wanna give you the money, andyou a better life than what I had.
And it's God, now I don'twant the bad guy to lose it!
But but then there's the saying,it's What's the point of gaining the
whole world if you lose your soul?
Because he's literally killinghimself and turning into a completely
different Emotionally killing himself.
Yeah, he's completely emotionallykilling himself and turning

(14:33):
himself into a psychopath justto help support his sister.
But again At the day, Ican't say it's not relatable.
No, it's super relatable.
It's wild.
So then it's Dang, and then plus Ippofinds all this out and he's Man, I
don't even know why I should be And thenit's again, this is the guy who like,
Cheated to, and broke his friend's foot.

(14:53):
So he's clearly evil.
This is it's just great writing.
You know what I mean?
He's evil, but then all of them havethis really great backstories So you're
like I don't want either of them tolose and it's something that's way
different than like in american showsand television and like boxing usually
the other guy is just bad, you thinkabout rocky You think about Drago, right?
You think about Apollo and Clubber Lang, and you think about with really, this

(15:15):
is how boxing goes oh, both of themare, one's the bad guy in, in film and
television here in America, one's thebad guy and then the hero boxer has
to defeat them, and this one there'salmost no one's a bad guy, it's just
about life, this is just two people, Andsomeone gotta go down, which is crazy.
Somebody's gotta go.
So Ippo comes into this match, right?

(15:35):
Because the training that he's beendoing, also, before this match, his
coach tells him, and he's oh, becausebefore every fight he has to learn a new
skill that's almost impossible to learn.
That he does every time.
That he does every time.
Plot armor and anime logic.
Okay?
Suspension of disbelief.
They get so much storyin these 20 minutes.

(15:57):
It's freaking crazy.
But this is where it's different, right?
The part where it's different isbasically Ippos are like, Okay this is
his hitman style and this is what he does.
What new skill are we going to learn?
And he's Yeah, you're screwed on this.
And he's what?
I'mma keep it real with you, chief.
You can't beat this guy.
What do you mean?
He's my trainer.

(16:17):
What are you talking about?
He's listen.
All we're going to do is we'regoing to train super hard on
all of your best strengths.
And we're just going to hope that You canpull it out and you know what's crazy is
that while he's fighting him He does breakhis fist he breaks his fist and breaks in

(16:37):
because he does the elbow block, right?
So this guy he does which is notillegal right in boxing But it's
dirty, but it's a little dirty becausethe guy is fighting dirty, right?
Cuz again for his sister, so he'sblocking his punches by throwing his
sharp elbow into his fist right andthen he's like breaks Ippo's fist and
makes him bleed but Ippo's so But wealso have to understand that Ippo got

(17:05):
very severely handicapped that beforethat, the bell rung before he could hit.
The what's his name?
Mashiba.
Before he could hitMashiba in his stomach.
And get the dub.
And get the win.
That completely And they rang the bell.

(17:26):
And Mashiba now knows his whole strategy.
And, what's crazy about this isthat the bell is often used as right
as soon as someone's gonna win, that's when the bell always rings.
It's got just good writing.
And then especially, and thenironically, it ends up working out
in his favor because Then, Mashiba, even though he's throwing his elbow
to block those punches, he can't usehis, he can't lift up his arm anymore.

(17:47):
Cause it destroys his elbow.
Cause even those punches are so hard.
But what's crazy is that, Mashibais such a G, that he's I'm gonna
just fight you with one hand.
He loses, cause he'sfighting with one hand.
This man got him clinching.
The thing is also, His coach tells himthe same thing that Miata's dad tells him.
Cuz, he sits there, because He'sdude, you have too many good ears.

(18:08):
He's broken his hand, right?
And, so the coach is like, sitting in thecorner, he's like, How's your hand doing?
Listen, Ippo, you're bleeding.
I can see you bleeding through your glove.
And he's I'm fine.
He's no, I can see the blood.
Coming down your wrist.
It's smushed.
You should really throw this match.
This is just the rookie tournament match.
You've got way too many reallygreat pro years ahead of you.

(18:32):
So go ahead and let'sjust call this match.
And it'll be fine.
And he's No, he's alsoNo, I'm built different.
But also, He's also, if youdon't throw this match, you might
have to retire after this match.
Because you can't use your hand anymore.
Because you can't use your hand anymore.
That's even more and he's I don't care.

(18:54):
I got that dog.
I got that dog in me!
And they're like, I can't believe you.
Dude, you're hurting yourself.
Can't stop coach.
Why?
Because I got that dog in me!
The other guys, the the other Asian dude,he's this is crazy, and he's nope, he's
gonna do it, so we might as well try it.
Oh yeah, the general man, the other cornerman is you should be throwing this match,

(19:15):
you're throwing the towel, he's look.
I'm too experienced with boxers.
Boxers are so thick headed there'snothing I can do at this point.
It's that's not true.
Yes, you can.
Throw her in the towel.
Yes, you can stop this person.
Yeah, but then the boss, my boxer'sgonna hate me, and he's not gonna me.
But he'll be alive.
And so he basically is like, all right, listen, do this.
He said, go in, But keep hittinhim with those body shots.

(19:38):
With your left hand.
With your left hand.
And only use your righthand like one more time.
To knock him out.
Because he is hittin this dudewith some really solid, Punches.
Power smashing body shots.
And it's like Mishiba just just eats him.
One of the, like you were talkin about,he keeps he says Mishiba thinks that, Now
that he's punched and broken his hand.

(20:01):
He's oh, he's gonna usea different strategy.
Ipo's nah, man I'm gonna keep doing this.
And Roshifant, the evil guy, islike This man, this dude's insane.
This man's crazy.
This nigga's serious, bro.
What do you mean you'regonna keep doing it?
So even after the fight So he,so Ippo wins and becomes like the
Eastern Japan Rookie Champion, right?

(20:21):
And then so as soon as he becomesthe Eastern Rookie Japan Champion,
the very next episode this guynamed, his name is Sendoh, Takashi
Sendoh, but they call him Rocky.
And not for, also though we haveto say that as soon as Ippo wins
the fight, because what ends uphappening is he breaks his arm, right?
He can't move his elbow anymore, andIppo finally gets the knockout, and

(20:46):
Ippo's please don't get off the ground.
Please.
He gets counted a ten count.
And he's still coming afterIppo, after the match!
Yeah, Majima tries tofight him afterwards.
He's bro, it's over.
Go ahead, take that L, dog.
Go ahead, hold that.
Just go ahead.
So then, the, he's oh So hebecomes the Eastern champ.
The Western champ, his nicknameis Rocky, but his name is Takashi

(21:09):
Sendoh, is oh yeah, we should fight.
And the upcoming a tournament so wecan fight each other and he's yeah,
sorry No, I can't do that because myhand is broken and it'll take like
literally Like my hand just won't healin time for us for you and me to have
a fight before the next tournament.
So You know the westernguy gets really ticked off.
So what do they hire a super?

(21:30):
They hire some nurse, who's hot, who's super hot nurse, who was it?
He's okay, we'll pretend you'rejust judo champion, who can possibly
help you heal up your hand faster.
So he goes over, and it'sjust this super hot nurse.
What and he was like very sexual withhim for some reason and she's like people
keep staring at his chair at her chestYeah, and she's you know what we could

(21:53):
do is I could just numb up your handHaha, so you don't feel the pain but
afterwards it's gonna it'll fucking hurt.
It'll hurt so bad You're like evento the and then Takamura was like, I
haven't even done much talk so Actually, the nurse follows them to one of their
training Oh yeah, by the way, we forgotto say, Takamura also won a belt himself.

(22:14):
Yes, Takamura and likeVery easily, I might add.
Yeah, he won a well He was, he he got hitdown a couple of times, but then Ippo was
like, Hey, I believe in you, Takamura.
You're the greatest.
And Takamura was like, Bro, Ican't lose in front of the squad?
And then that's how hewins beats this guy.
He's Bro, my motivation is to look goodin front of the squad and the hoes.

(22:37):
That's my motivation.
But she, so Whenever he goesto see the doctor, right?
Because what ends up happening is IppoAccepts it's listen, I can't box for two
months like even three months, right?
It's three months.
Yeah, he can't box for three monthsbecause he has his whole fist has to heal
but the actual fight Is in two months.

(22:58):
It's like in two and a half, two monthsbecause his former bullies come up to him
and are like, Hey, yeah, congratulations.
You're the champion.
And he's, yeah, they're all hisfriends now for some reason.
And he is you guys havebeen watching my fights.
He's we've been watchingevery single one of 'em.
We've been cheering you on, man.
He's you guys have been beat myass for 10 years, 15 years, it's
cringe, but all right, you're cool,I guess I have some fans, whatever.

(23:19):
And he's like, when's your next, you'regonna, you're gonna really kill it
in the All Japan tournament, right?
And he's not really, I broke my hand.
And they're like, oh,man, you gotta fight.
And I also bring him to their other bullyfriends, the other gangster friends,
and the other gangster friends are like,oh, you're a hero, and he's seriously?
You guys all hated me before.

(23:40):
But then what he ends up doingis he ends up helping his mom out
with her fishing business, right?
Because he's just doingbasically road work.
And then, what he ends up doing is askinghis mom, because the Sindoh guy comes
to him and is dude, we got to fight.
You a bitch, right?
You a bitch?
And he's bro.
This guy is fucking crazy.
Why do you care about fighting so much?

(24:02):
And he's I just got that dog in me.
Dude, so he jumps on a flight.
Yeah, and flies all the way over to Ippojust to tell him that he has to fight.
Because he's sittingthere bugging everybody.
And the thing with Sendoh is Insert sadbackstory, Sendo's parents are dead, he

(24:22):
lives with his grandmother, and he getsinto fights to prove how strong he can be,
so that way he's I have to be strongestso I can be the strongest for my grandma.
And so then, because he'sthe all western hero, right?
He's like a hometown hero over there, and he's no longer a gangster like
person, he's like a hometown hero, and the and these little kids are
like, Hey, you should like, buy us aPlayStation remember you said you'd

(24:46):
buy it for us when you became champion?
When you became Western champion, andhe's Oh, I'll do it when I win the All
Japan champion and they're like he'slike they're like elementary school
kids They're like fascinated with himcuz he's like the hometown hero and
they right, you know So everyone buthe's I know I don't want to let my
hometown down But I just love to fight!
People think I'm fighting to save the day!

(25:06):
But really, I just like to fight!
So he hands the kids, he's I gotsomething better than the video
game I said I was gonna get you all.
Here's some money.
Here's some tickets.
Oh, tickets to the fight.
To see me fight these people.
And even He so Ippo, when he comesand bugs everybody in the gym,
Ippo then comes in and he's Ah!
It means Sendoh.

(25:26):
Sendoh.
When Sendoh comes to bug everyonein the gym, and, but then Ippo
comes in and Sendoh's There you are!
And he's We gotta fight right now!
We gotta fight!
And he was like, Whothe fuck are you, man?
Really?
What are you doing?
I don't know who you are.
Are you kidding me?
You don't know who I am?
I'm the Western Champion!
You're the Eastern Champion?
I'm the Western Champion.
We got to settle this.
And the coach is like I'm not gonna lie,Sendo's one of my favorite characters.

(25:46):
And the coach is Hey why don'tyou go do some road work since You
can't your fist is all messed upand Sendoh's that's a great idea.
Let's go do some road work.
We gotta do it together, hurry.
And he's can you keep up with me?
And Ippo's what are you doing here, man?
What is your issue?
But then because Sendoh wants tofight so bad, Ippo's you know what?
I actually really wantto beat this guy's ass.

(26:07):
So then that's when, that's why hegoes and begs his coach like, Okay,
we gotta find someone to help me outwith this so I can beat up this guy.
Yeah, his mom, he goes to hismom and he's Listen, is there
anybody that we work with?
Don't you have a doctor orsomething that you work with?
Can you please set me up an appointment?
And then that's what happens.
And then the doctor comes.
That's the judo champion.

(26:27):
Yeah, she comes out of nowhere.
I don't know how she knowswhere they're training.
I think, no, not the, his coach calls her.
Oh, yes.
And then, so they're doing the crab walks.
They're doing crab walks to strengthen.
She then puts him on thisregiment to strengthen his hand.
His shoulder.
And his, because he's look, you've beenthrowing all these punches so hard, but

(26:49):
your shoulder muscles are really weak.
You're putting too much force intojust your hand and forearm, and
that's why you broke your hand.
You punched so hard.
That you broke your hand, butnot That your body can't handle
how tremendous your power is.
I'm just like, what?
That's, what?
That's not, but that's So then you needto build up your shoulder Like, you

(27:11):
can't even throw it that hard if yourshoulder muscle's that messed up, but,
that's the thing like in baseball, right?
You cannot, I think it's like youcan't throw faster than like 108 miles
an hour or 110 miles an hour becausethe law of physics literally won't
allow your arm to throw that fast.
I have heard that before, but theamount of times that scientists

(27:33):
have said, The laws of physicssay, and then humans do it anyway.
That was like the that was like thething with back in The four minute mile?
Yeah.
They said it was physicallyagainst the laws of physics for
anyone to run a four minute mile.
Then some guy does it back inlike the early 1900s, and since
then tons of people do it.
It's very common to, it's hardto do, but it's still people

(27:54):
in my high school did that.
I think that My, my low, mylowest time is is for a mile.
When I was in high school and runninglike that I was a part of the track
team it was like 425 so I'm and I'mnot a professional track athlete.
So if mine was 425 Mine was 920 Youshouldn't admit that doubt that whoof this

(28:17):
you take off those Rockley weights, right?
But yeah, so that's what kind ofhappened between 21 through 30.
We are rolling throughthis anime right now.
Yeah, we are definitely rolling throughthis anime and but anyway, so what ends
up happening though at the end thoughis we find out that he is going to try

(28:40):
and fight and then that's what Sendohis oh my god, I'm gonna have to fight.
And yeah, upcoming, and then I hearthe next episode is filler, but we'll
find out, we'll find out next time.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
