Spirituality on the Go, a

spiritual toolbox so you canlive in the divine flow of love,
discover your inner calm andexperience lasting joy,
happiness.
(00:22):
As we step into 2025, many of usare setting goals.
That's a good thing.
Getting healthier, for me it'slosing weight, deepening
relationships, or maybe tacklingsome long held dreams you've
aspired to accomplish.
But what if I told you there'sone simple gift, a practice,
(00:43):
that you can give yourself, thatcan support all your goals?
while bringing more lastingpeace and happiness into your
life.
That gift, that practice isdaily meditation.
Just a few minutes a day in thequiet can literally transform
(01:03):
your life.
Starting a daily meditationpractice as part of your new
year's goals is like laying astrong foundation for everything
else you want to achieve in yourlife.
Meditation helps you build agentle discipline.
It helps you develop resilienceand restore balance to your life
(01:24):
of mind, body, spirit, all ofwhich are essential for turning
your intentions into reality.
Meditation is literally lifechanging because it creates an
inner space, a sacred spacewithin yourself for inner peace,
(01:45):
a space where you connect withthe divine presence of God
within you, where you can feelembraced by God's love and
connect with your inner teacher, your inner self.
Sitting quietly and focusing onyour breath, calms the chaos of
your mind and helps you feelgrounded.
(02:07):
Over time, this inner calmbecomes a natural part of your
day, letting you approach life'schallenges with clarity and
ease.
Meditation also cultivateslasting happiness.
True happiness isn't found inexternal achievements.
It's already within you.
(02:28):
It's within your soul.
Meditation helps you tap intoyour soul, that inner
wellspring, where God and youdwell as one, where you can
experience joy, happiness, wisdom, guidance, independent of
life's ups and downs.
(02:50):
Meditation also focuses yourclarity.
It allows you to clear themental clutter in our brains,
the monkey mind that is alwaysooking at us.
Meditation gives us space forcreativity.
It allows us to make betterdecisions in our lives because
we respond by bringing ourlife's problems and inspirations
(03:14):
into quiet time so we don'treact in life.
We respond with wisdom, love, inner peace, guidance.
Meditation also strengthens ourrelationships with ourselves and
other people.
By meditating, we begin toexperience and develop this
(03:38):
calm, centered mind, body, andspirit, which foster our ability
to be patient and compassionatewith ourselves and other people.
One of the most profound giftsof meditation is its ability to
connect with your inner self andGod.
(03:58):
You might think of it liketuning a radio station.
At first, all you might hear isstatic, the noise of daily life,
the endless chatter of ourminds, and the distractions of
social media, the news, thenoise of the world around you.
But as you sit quietly andmeditate, you begin to adjust
(04:21):
the dial of your inner radio.
Slowly the static fades, and youbegin to hear a clear, strong,
more beautiful signal thatemerges over time.
This signal, this radiofrequency, is the inner voice of
your inner self.
(04:42):
The whisper of God's presencewithin you.
The voice of your inner teacher,God's divine presence, inspiring
you.
As this divine frequency becomesclearer, you can hear messages
of love, guidance andreassurance that too often get
(05:04):
drowned out by the busyness oflife.
Meditation allows you to alignyour inner radio with this
divine frequency, giving youdirect access to God's peace,
joy, and wisdom that's alwaysthere, just waiting for you to
be still, waiting for you tolisten so you can hear The inner
(05:29):
voice of love.
Over time, staying tuned to thisdivine channel through daily
meditation spills over into yourdaily life and it transforms the
way you live.
Challenges that, once feltoverwhelming to you are met with
calm and clarity because you'velearned to listen to guidance
(05:50):
within you.
You become more joyful and free.
Not because life is perfect.
But because you're connected tothat steady, unchanging source
of love and strength therewithin your soul, God within
you, as you.
(06:10):
So how do you start a meditationpractice or jumpstart one that
has fallen off the path?
The best part about it is it'ssimple to start.
You don't need any specialequipment and you don't need
hours of free time.
Even five minutes a day can makea huge difference in your life.
So here's some steps you canfollow.
(06:32):
Find a quiet space where youwon't be interrupted.
A place where you can be alonewith yourself and God.
You might want to light a candleto remind yourself that God is
always present with you aroundyou and also within you.
(06:53):
The light of love within yousurrounding your inner being.
Then set a timer maybe for fiveminutes or for however long
you'd like to sit in the quiet.
Get into a comfortable position.
Close your eyes and focus onyour breath.
(07:15):
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
Your breath is the divinepresence of God, the spirit of
God, breathing in and throughyou, from the first breath you
took when you came out of yourmother's womb, until the last
breath you take when you leavethis earth.
(07:37):
So when you focus on this spiritof God, the breath flowing
within you, it becomes yourfocus, becomes a space within
you, you can Feel its presenceand quiet in the mind.
If you'd like, you could alsoinstead use a simple mantra.
Like, may I be at peace?
(08:00):
Or may I be happy?
May I feel loved?
Whatever it is you need in thatmoment, you can use that as a
mantra to gently repeat toyourself.
When your mind wanders, which itwill, it does for all of us,
gently bring your focus back toyour breath.
And that's it.
(08:22):
With just five minutes or more aday, you'll begin to notice the
benefits over the course of afew days, a week, a month, a
year.
Over time, you can graduallyincrease your meditation time or
explore different techniquesthat allow your mind to be
quiet.
Meditation is a gift that keepson giving.
