Here we are at the NCASAconference in North Carolina.
I'm your host, Derek Kantozi,and we have a special guest
today.
Her name is Taylor Simmons, andshe is a director of creative
design at an AchievableAchievable Dream Urban Learning
Leadership Center.
So we're so happy to have youhere today.

Thank you so much for having me.
I'm happy to be here.

SPEAKER_00 (00:27):
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
And what brings you guys to thisconference today?

SPEAKER_01 (00:30):
So we are here basically promoting all of the
great things that we are doingat an Achievable Dream Urban
Learning Leadership Center,AADULLC.
We are a consulting agency andwe create customizable K-12
learning solutions, diagnosticassessments, school improvement
strategies, and we really tailorour needs to meet the school's

(00:53):
uh requests.
So whatever it is that theschool, particular school
district is uh in need of, wehave you know several areas of
expertise, uh assessment design,uh, STEM, mentorship, leadership
development.
So we can come in and do adiagnostic assessment and say,
okay, these are the areas thatyou want to improve on, here's
how we can support you.

(01:14):
And all of our work is based inour same framework, social,
academic, and mindset education.

SPEAKER_00 (01:19):
Great, that that's that's amazing.
That's great work you're doing.
Is there a specific um school ordistrict that you've hooked out
that had a powerful story?

SPEAKER_01 (01:29):
So we've done a lot of work up in Illinois.
So we've had some great resultsin Avington Avon and their
school district.
We've done a lot of work inDalton.
So we are we're really proud ofthe work that we've been doing
across the country, but we'vedone so much work in Illinois.

SPEAKER_00 (01:45):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (01:45):
Yes.

SPEAKER_00 (01:46):
That's great.
And what is your favorite partabout what you do?

SPEAKER_01 (01:49):
The impact.
Knowing that I'm going to workevery day, and at the end of the
day, a student's life is beingchanged, um, a district is being
transformed, that's what it'sall about.
So that drives me.

SPEAKER_00 (02:04):
Yeah, absolutely.
That's that's quite the driveright there.
And um, how'd you get into yourposition?

SPEAKER_01 (02:09):
So I have a background in communication.
In my position at AADULLC, I amthe director of creative design.
So I am the storyteller for theorganization.
I create the messages thatreally speak to the impact and
the community that we'vecreated, not only in Virginia,
but in the school districts thatwe work with across the country.

(02:29):
So I think my background incommunication and media has
really helped get to where I amnow.
And I'm just so grateful for theopportunity to continue telling
stories and uh creatingmessaging that speaks to who we
are and who we're going to be,the future of AED ULLC.
