Tim and Mary take a look at the headlines relating to one of the top stories of the week: The Android Next Door. Since personal, humanoid style household robots are poised to “evolve” into something more, well, human – we wonder what part of their popularity today is Hollywood inspired, and what part is real? Is life imitating art? Do we really want a bot in our kitchen or anywhere in our homes, listening to our every sigh and expressed thought? We take a look at Bots gone wild, up to the point of giving scientists the recipe for a bio weapon. The bigger question then might be, what are we becoming alongside of them? There is no way this revolution doesn’t fundamentally change everything. Ai is here to stay. It’s one thing to auto-repeat, “it’s just a tool.” It’s another thing to think it won’t affect our humanity on a deep level.
