Good morning and
welcome to Starting Right with
Danny Mac.
I'm going to be here everyMonday to Friday to help you get
a great five-minute start toyour day.
So grab your cup of coffee, sitback, relax and let me help you
start your day right.
Good morning, everybody, andwelcome to a brand new week and
(00:25):
today, for our Music Mondayepisode, we're going to look at
a song by Shane and Shane calledYou've Already Won and the
verse that inspired it Romans, chapter 8, verse 37.
I know if we can embrace thescripture and the words of the
song, it will help you to faceyour week with hope, knowing
that God is with you and thatyou don't have to worry about
the challenges.
You to face your week with hope, knowing that God is with you
(00:46):
and that you don't have to worryabout the challenges you will
face.
Romans, chapter 8, verse 37,says no, in all these things, we
are more than conquerors, through him who loved us.
The battles we face this weekmay seem daunting, but this
verse tells us that the victoryhas already been secured for us,
and the lyrics in the song alsoremind us that you've already
won, no need to fight, and so wecan face whatever comes our way
(01:10):
, knowing that we have theassurance that, through Christ,
we are more than conquerors.
The battles may be real, butthe outcome it's already decided
.
This week there will bechallenges.
Some of the things that you areexpecting to happen may not,
but I also guarantee there aregoing to be some things that
you're not expecting to face, that you're going to have to.
I love these words from thesong.
(01:32):
I'm fighting a battle thatyou've already won.
No matter what comes my way, Iwill overcome.
I don't know what you're doing,but I know what you've done.
I'm fighting a battle thatyou've already won.
Take just a moment to thinkabout the battles that you faced
in the past, those moments whenyou felt the weight of the
world on your shoulders.
(01:52):
Now consider this you emergedvictorious through the majority
of those battles, not because ofyour strength alone, but
because of the indomitable loveand power of Christ working
within you.
The lyrics also say no need tofight.
This isn't an invitation topassivity.
It's a call for us to approachour challenges with a different
(02:15):
perspective.
When Romans 8.37 says we arenot merely conquerors, we are
more than conquerors, it's alevel of victory that goes
beyond what we had expected.
The last verse of the song saysthis I know how the story ends.
We will be with you again.
You're my savior, my defense.
No more fear in life or death.
(02:36):
I know how this story ends.
You are never alone.
The victory is not somethingthat you're striving for, it's
something that you're living in.
Every step you take is the stepof a conqueror, not because of
your own strength, but becauseof the strength and hope that
Christ provides.
(02:56):
So, as we begin our week, Iinvite you to consider the
battles that may lay ahead, whether they are in your
personal or professional life Idon't know, and it really
doesn't matter but I encourageyou to approach them with the
confidence that you have alreadywon.
It's really not about how bigthe problems or challenges are,
but about the greatness andmagnitude of the victory that
(03:18):
God has ahead for you.
I'm going to leave you with aclip to the song.
You've already won, but I alsowant you to carry with you this
week in your heart and your mindRomans 8.37, because it really
is a beacon of hope that showsus the way to victory In all
things.
We are more than conquerors.
Through Him, who loved us asyou navigate this week, I pray
(03:40):
that this truth will guide youractions and your reactions.
When we look at ourselves, weprobably won't always see a
conqueror, but it's not about us.
We must remember the truth that, through Christ, we're not just
conquerors.
We are more than conquerors.
Thank you for joining me today.
Stay victorious, stay blessed, and we will talk to you again
(04:03):
tomorrow.
Here's Shane, and Shane, with, you've Already Won.
No matter what comes my way, Iwill overcome.
Don't know what you're doing,but I know what you've done.
(04:26):
I'm out.
