What does meaningful employee wellness actually look like in today’s busy, high-demand workplaces?

In this episode of Amna is joined by Pantea Dugani, co-founder and managing director of Excel Body Fitness, a woman-owned corporate wellness company based in Cary, North Carolina.

Pantea shares how her journey began with a traditional fitness studio—and evolved into a mission-driven corporate wellness model that meets employees where they are. Together, Amna and Pantea unpack why many workplace wellness initiatives fail, how “checkbox wellness” can unintentionally harm employees, and what leaders must do to create sustainable, human-centered wellness cultures.

The conversation also moves beyond business strategy into lived experience, as Pantea opens up about motherhood, cultural perfectionism, health consequences of “doing it all,” and how she has redefined success over time.
