Christian Nationalism, Part 2

In this episode we listen to a message from Texas House of Representative, James Talarico. Afterward I destroy his hypocrisy and lies.

even though I am very very very very hopeful about who we are and where we're going and
where we're going to end up.
I'm still very very very hopeful.
I know a lot of people don't really share in the hope that I have for this nation but
I'm very hopeful because things are really happening and if you've really been paying
attention to what's going on out there you know this thing called woke or wokeism is

beginning to crumble right before our eyes and the world is really beginning to wake
up to this and you see that even in the Olympics the opening ceremony where they mocked Christianity
very blasphemously and even people who are not Christians or very nominal Christians

are kind of scratching their head and saying going yeah that was not good they went overboard
you know that wasn't good.
I'm not saying everybody's in that place but a lot of people are.

I know I said it on my last episode but I just wanted to remind you based upon or what

I'm going to be talking to you about I'm going to try to unpack some things.
So my last episode was on Christian nationalism yeah Christian nationalism Christian nationalist
oh they're going to ruin everything they're going to try to put everybody into subjection
to themselves and put everybody back in change and oh lord have mercy.

So anyways a friend of mine hit me up why don't you do an episode on Christian nationalism.
So I said whoo that's a good one so I did some more research I already had a basic understanding
of Christian nationalism and so I did some more research to figure out what is exactly
a Christian nationalist who are the Christian nationalists and should we be afraid of them.

And well you'll have to listen to the last episode just entitled Christian nationalist
or nationalism and you'll see what I found and it's actually very interesting and somewhat
refreshing because I consider myself after learning this I consider myself a Christian
nationalist and to be honest with you I am in great company great company.

Okay so anyways just kind of keep that in mind what I'm going to do for you today ladies
and gentlemen because this friend also sent me a link to a video just a short it's a
little less than five minutes long video of this representative from Texas who's actually
also in seminary to be a presbyterian I am assuming presbyterian minister because he

goes to a presbyterian church so a minister in the Presbyterian church and he was preaching
in his home church against Christian nationalist and Christian nationalism.
I listened to the video and ladies and gentlemen I have to be honest just before I I'm probably
going to just go ahead and play the audio from it so you can hear it yourself but I'm

going to say 95% if not 99% of everything that he said about Christian nationalism was
lies in one way or another and at best even not if it's not a direct lie it certainly
is a twisting of the truth to where there might be just a slight little bit of truth

in it but the way he uses it makes it a lie and and I'm just telling you this up front
because ladies and gentlemen normally I'd say you be the judge but hey this is my show
so I've already judged him and yes ladies and gentlemen the Bible the Bible itself tells
us to judge one another those in the church and now this is a guy that claims that he's

in seminary to be a minister so not only is he quote-unquote in the church which gives
me the right to judge him when he's acting foolish but he's on another level when he
is saying I am a minister in the Church of Jesus Christ.
Oh that opens the door for even more judgment and before anybody will do you want to be

judged go for it listen to I've only been speaking here for a few moments and those
of you who are listening have already made some judgment about me my content my character
who I am and those of you who don't even know what I look like you've already tried to picture
in your mind what I even look like how tall I am what kind of hair I have what kind of

eye color all of that stuff why number one is called human nature but those are all judgments
I like chocolate ice cream ladies and gentlemen believe it or not that's a judgment because
I judged something more delicious than something else so here's one of the passages in the
Bible that tells us that we are supposed to judge those in the church I know many people

say well you know Jesus says don't judge no that he never said don't judge look at that
passage again and read it in its full context what you'll find is Jesus gives you the criteria
to judge correctly but here's one check this out this is first Corinthians chapter 5 and
verse 12 says for what do you do I have to do with judging those outside and some translations

talk about and show outside of the church but judging those outside are you not to judge
those inside verse 13 goes on to say but God will judge those outside meaning the non-christian
those outside of the church those who haven't accepted Christ remove the evil person from
among you so this is talking about removing the evil evil person that claims to be a Christian

inside the church in order for you to label somebody evil deserving of being removed from
the church you have to judge them you have to judge them so keep this in mind as you're
listening to this gentleman speak and as you're listening to me completely destroy his five
minutes of this sermon clip because I'm going to destroy it because I'm sick and tired of

these weirdos in the body of Christ that twist scripture for their own perversion and lusts
and claim to be Christians all the while using the words of the Bible to try to justify their
perversion and their wickedness and this kind of nonsense has to stop so people you believers

out there we have to start standing up against this nonsense okay so this clip that I'm going
to play was again sent to me at least the link and this is james james tallarico and
he is a member of the Texas House of Representatives he's presbyterian he's going to a presbyterian
seminary or college he's a democrat which you guys know and again because I have properly

judged these things against the word of God you cannot be a Christian and a Democrat they
cancel one another out all right the word of God speaks directly against what the Democrat
Party stands for directly against it so you have to choose if you're going to be a Christian
then you have to follow the word of God if you're going to be a Democrat then follow
whatever perversion they choose to to you know put on the pedestal that day and but

you can't do both the Bible makes it very clear that you cannot drink the cup of the
Lord and the cup of demons so keep that in mind as you're listening to this guy and I'm
going to tell you listen to it with an open heart and open mind that's fine with me because
after he's done oh I'm gonna tear this up so here we go this is James Tallarico my granddad

was a Baptist preacher I've been a member of this church since I was two years old and
now I'm in seminary studying to become a minister myself my faith means more to me than anything
but if I'm being very honest sometimes I hesitate for telling someone I'm a Christian there

is a cancer on our religion until we confess the sin that is Christian nationalism and
exercise it from our churches our religion can do a lot more damage than a six-pack of
Lone Star there is nothing Christian about Christian nationalism is the worship of power

social power economic power political power in the name of Christ and it is a betrayal
of Jesus of Nazareth he told us we would know them by their fruits Jesus includes Christian
nationalism excludes Jesus liberates Christian nationalism controls Jesus saves Christian

nationalism kills Jesus started a universal movement based on mutual love Christian nationalism
is a sectarian movement based on mutual hate Jesus came to transform the world Christian
nationalism is here to maintain the status quo they have co-opted the son of God they've

turned this humble rabbi into a gun toting gay bashing science denying money loving fear-mongering
fascist and it is incumbent upon all Christians to confront it and denounce it how did this
happen the first followers of Jesus didn't call themselves Christians they called themselves

the way their crucified teacher taught them a different way of being human and they intended
to follow him the early church was a revolutionary community built on radical love a peculiar
people who shared all their possessions and refused to participate in the economy the

military or the culture the book of acts tells us that the first Christians were persecuted
for turning the world upside down but 300 years after Jesus was executed by the Roman
Empire Emperor Constantine made Christianity the official state religion of that very same
empire Constantine was the first Christian nationalist pro-war pro-wealth pro-white supremacy

that original countercultural movement became a tranquilized privatized weaponized religion
the official sponsor of Western civilization a religion of sharing became a religion of
greed a religion of peace became a religion of violence a religion of forgiveness became

a religion of judgment a religion of ego transformation became a religion of ego affirmation
today Christian nationalists obsess over people's private parts while the planet burns the Bible
doesn't mention abortion or gay marriage but it goes on and on about forgiving debt

liberating the poor and healing the sick Christian nationalists like to say this is a Christian
nation not only is that historically inaccurate not only is that theologically blasphemous
but it's also just not true look around us if this was truly a Christian nation we would
forgive student debt if this was truly a Christian nation we would guarantee health care to every

single person if this was truly a Christian nation we would love all of our LGBTQ neighbors
if this was truly a Christian nation we would make sure every child in the state and in
this country was housed fed clothed educated and insured if this was truly a Christian
nation we would never make it a Christian nation because we know the table of fellowship

is open to everybody including our Buddhist Hindu Jewish Muslim Sikh and atheist neighbors
Jesus could have started a Christian theocracy but love would never do that the closest thing
we have to the kingdom of heaven is a multi-racial multicultural democracy where power is truly

shared among all people something that's yet to exist in human history there is so much
to unpack with this ladies and gentlemen that you know it's really it's obvious to me that
this gentleman does not know anything about Christianity this James Tallarico now I'm
going to go over this I have the transcription of this audio clip that I just played for

you and I'm going to go over it point by point and hopefully I don't lose anybody because
it's just so it was so frustrating when I was reading over it and writing down some
of my own personal notes it was very very clear that this guy doesn't know very much
about Christian history or American history he doesn't know much about the word of God

the Bible he doesn't know much about what he calls you know Christian nationalists who
they are and what they believe he knows so little about all of these things so what he
was doing was he was just giving those knee-jerk liberal talking points he knows that but he
doesn't know the truth and there is a vast difference and I'm going to try to get through

this but keep in mind that this James Tallarico I think that's how you pronounce his name
Tallarico that's at least that's how it's spelled he's part of the Presbyterian Church
he's going to seminary I'm assuming it's a Presbyterian seminary I believe I read that
somewhere he's certainly a Democrat and he was part of the Texas House of Representatives

so keep that in mind he was a government official in the Texas House of Representatives okay
because that's going to that's going to be relevant in just a moment he starts saying
that his granddad was a Baptist preacher and that he's been a member of this church the
church that he was saying these things in since he was two years old and now he's in

seminary studying to become a minister himself now a minister of what because by his analysis
and what he has said certainly not a minister of Jesus Christ based upon the pure word of
the Lord not at all what he is as a minister if you can call him that of the liberal machine

and that's all he is is a talking point of the liberal machine trying to destroy true
Christianity I don't know what's going on in his heart and mind that's on him but I
could tell you what came out of his mouth and it was all garbage and it was deceitful
very deceitful I could see where it could catch a lot of people off guard and and maybe
cause people to misunderstand what who Christians are what Christians are all about and what

this thing this these these wasco we question nationalist who they are and what they're
all about anyway so he goes on to say my faith means more to me than anything okay I don't
I don't squabble with that sir but faith in what certainly not God and his word but faith

maybe in the liberal machine that you are representative of says but I am if I am being
very honest sometimes I hesitate for telling someone I'm a Christian and and you know what
I do appreciate that please don't tell anybody you're a Christian because at least a biblical
Christian you are not you're a Christian in name only he says there is a cancer on our

religion until we confess the sin of Christian nationalism and exercise it from our churches
our religion can do a lot more damage than a six-pack of Lone Star six pack of Lone Star
anyway right okay let me get back to this so he says there's a cancer in our religion
I totally agree he and I would agree 100% right there there is a cancer on or in what

we would call the Christian religion and he says until we confess the sin that is Christian
nationalism up hold on skippy Christian nationalism is Christianity as I pointed out my last podcast
nationalism just means you have a loyalty or a devotion or a love for your nation with
wherever you live in the world if you live in Mexico and you're a nationalist you love

Mexico if you live in China and you're a nationalist you love China it doesn't matter where you're
at in the world if you live in the United States of America and you love the United
States of America guess what that makes you a nationalist so a Christian nationalist is
a Christian a Bible believing Christian who loves his or her nation ie the United States

of America so that is true Christianity because we're supposed to have a great love for our
nation regardless of what nation that is so much so that we that we go out and preach
minister to the people of that nation we lift it up we build it up and when it comes down
to it we even build the nation so Christian nationalism is true Christianity as it pertains

to the nation the person lives in that's it that's true biblical Christianity and this
guy is trying to knock that and call it a sin and a cancer shame on you James Tallarico
shame on you that is disturbing coming from somebody who claims to be a Christian let
alone someone in seminary to be a minister again and I ask minister of what certainly

not of Jesus Christ so let's go on ladies and gentlemen says we need to exercise it
from our churches this Christian nationalism our religion can do a lot more damage our
religion he says can do more damage than a six-pack of a Lone Star and by the way for
those of you who don't know Lone Star is a brand of beer that's kind of unique to Texas

Lone Star beer but he says that our religion Christianity can do more damage than Lone
Star beer so all of the clinics all of the charity work all of the gospel being preached
the churches that help people help the poor that's worse than a pack a six-pack of Lone

Star beer you know earlier today I just went to drop some things off at Grace resources
and that's a ministry a Christian based ministry here in our town that helps the homeless helps
those in poverty they not only give out food and and they help people with finding temporary

shelter but they also teach classes so people can come out of poverty completely and I was
just dropping off some donations that we had for them and you know that's a Christian base
and and the the guy who runs Grace resources is the brother of one of the local pastors
who I know out here so it's it's it's not necessarily attached to any church but is

certainly a church-based organization in that regard so that place who helps drug addicts
homeless people people in poverty people who are hurting and broken that's worse than a
six-pack of Lone Star beer because that's what this gentleman James Tellerico was saying

but anyways let me go on says there is nothing Christian about Christian nationalism I mean
I don't even know where this guy gets this stuff whoever he's listening to he's listening
to people that are brainwashing him into total depravity and stupidity and that's just the
truth because Christian nationalism is true Christianity you know now now don't get me

wrong ladies and gentlemen there might be certain groups out there that claim to be
Christian nationalists and they might do some horrible things but just because they lay
claim to something their actions prove them differently okay so I'm not talking about
those knuckleheads I'm talking about the people that started back literally in the 1600s that
came to the United States of America to to start a new life here because things were

getting so crazy in Europe I'm talking about the people that came here and established
themselves between the mid 1600s and the late 1700s who eventually fought a war with Great
Britain to to win our freedom all of those people would have been considered Christian
nationalists they had a great love for their country the country that they started that

they were building they had a great love for it to the point they were willing to lay down
their lives and most all of them if not all of them were Christians so and this guy is
ashamed of that he's ashamed of that and he calls that a cancer come on you know what
this dude is not just the anti-christ because that's what it boils down to but he's anti-american

as well he's anti-american anti-christ and and there's nothing good or righteous going
in him oh he can throw out the name of Jesus all that he wants but it's not the same Jesus
that I serve anyways let's go on I don't want to get into this so deep because this is I
got like four pages that I have to get through on this he says that Christian nationalism

is the worship of power social power economic power political power in the name of Christ
and it's a betrayal of Jesus and Nazareth Nazareth you know this is so again this is
so deceptive and so wicked and undermining okay no Christian nationalists or otherwise
would worship power they don't do that our power is in Christ our power is in Christ

and every Christian nationalist or otherwise will tell you that if they're if they understand
anything about their relationship with God and the Word of God social power you know
the Bible teaches us and tells us that we are supposed to be the head not the tail anyways
we are supposed to be above and not beneath in other words in culture in society in the
nations of the earth Christians led by the Spirit of the Living God are supposed to be

leading the charge okay economic power I don't even know what to say to some of these things
political power when was the last time Christian nationalists in this nation I mean really
think about it when was Christian nationalists in any one of these positions of power on
a grand scale I'm not saying we don't have Christians in in the in our government but

when was the last time we had it we'd have to go all the way back to probably the 17
maybe the 1800s but even by the 1800s things were falling apart due to that brand of liberalism
for the day but in the 1700s when they were founding this country everybody was happy
that Christians were involved in with the social power of this country the economic

power of this country the political power and yes they did it in the name of Christ
ever read our founding documents James Tallarico you ever read those founding documents did
you ever realize that our Bill of Rights our Constitution all of our founding documents
quote the Bible especially Deuteronomy did you ever you know that okay let me go on

because he says some more stupid things as he said here it is a betrayal of Jesus of
Nazareth well that's again wrong again James Christian nationalists Christians Christian
nationalists put Christ first in everything including how our nation functions and the
reality of it is our nation has gotten so far away from the words of the Bible so far

away from Christ that yes it's true we cannot call ourselves a Christian nation anymore
but we were and when we were a Christian nation it worked and now things are not working and
it's not Christian nationalists fault it's your fault it's people like you he goes on
to say he told us speaking of Jesus we would know them by their fruits yeah we would and

we also know them when they're acting fruity James James we know you because you are acting
fruity ladies and gentlemen I don't know how else to say it somebody's gonna say oh he's
just being so mean maybe I am but I'm just telling you the truth we will know we will
know them you'll know people around you by their fruit how they act how they treat one
another how they talk and so we know this guy by his fruit because he's fruity meaning

such a way that he sounds like such a nice guy oh and I'm in seminary oh I'm in seminary
I'm in seminary so what big deal get out of that seminary they're teaching you the wrong
things they're leading you astray anyways let's go on he goes on to say that Jesus includes

Christian nationalism excludes wrong again James because Jesus includes Christian nationalists
also include hence the reason why the United States of America is made up of white people
black people Hispanic people Asian people it is when Christian nationalists were in
control of this nation that the Chinese came into San Francisco the Europeans came in through

New York Cubans and and people from that part of the world South America and such came up
into Texas and into Florida we are known as the great melting pot do you know when that
started coming up Mr. James Tallarico do you know when we when that was that was phrase
that phrase was coined and when we started using the great melting pot I bet you don't

but it came from the concept or the idea of the great melting together that was America
and that was from the 1870 or 1780s 1780s is when that phrase was coined that's when
the Christian nationalists were in control dude so we were the great melting pot of all

these different cultures from all over the world in the 1780s when the Christian nationalists
were in charge are you do you not understand our history do you not understand where we
come from do you not understand who we are and who made us great number one it was Jesus
Christ himself he made us great working through the Christians who would be considered by

Christian nationalism controls controls what exactly what are we in control of today James

and now everything's falling apart why because of your brand of liberalism and now you're
trying to blame the Christian nationalists for the garbage that you've released into

who when was the last time you turned on the news and saw out in the streets of a Christian
nationalist city town state or nation people hung at the end of a rope because they wouldn't
renounce their some other religion and embrace Christian nationalism when was the last time

that happened oh never never somebody's gonna so foolishly say well what about the lynching
of black people you know after slavery and all of that and then slavery and all that
ladies and gentlemen please for your own satisfaction do a little homework look it up go to an encyclopedia
do you know who started the Ku Klux Klan do you know who was doing all the lynching it

was the Democrat Party the Ku Klux Klan is is a branch of the Democrat or the liberal
wing of our government in our history who fought against that Abraham Lincoln and the
Republicans the Christian nationalists were the ones fighting against that kind of tyranny

and that kind of wickedness so I'm sorry James Tallarico it's not Christian nationalists
that kill its liberals and even Christian liberals like yourself so get it right quit
lying to the American people quit lying to yourself quit lying to your family quit lying
to the good people of Texas she says Jesus started a universal movement based upon love

yes he did Christian nationalism is sectarian movement based on mutual hate no it isn't
no it isn't because listen if we were in charge if Christian nationals were in charge and
Christian nationals truly were based on hate how is it that we find people from Asia people
from the Middle East people from South America Mexico Canada people from Europe all here

well that was because of liberalism no it was not because of liberalism liberalism wanted
to keep black folks in chains and working in the fields that's liberalism liberalism
was all about slavery and since they can't not do that physically put people in chains
what the liberal party is now doing is putting people in mental chains emotional chains keeping

making them great promises of what we're going to do for you you put us in power and then
nothing changes except things get worse it's like throwing a dog a bone and that's exactly
what the liberal left thinks about anybody that doesn't look or act or think like them
you're nothing more than a dog receiving a bone from their hand they make big promises

and and and produce so little isn't that the liberal left that's not Christian nationalism
oh here's one that's like I said this guy was so deceiving he says Jesus came to transform
the world yes he did Christian nationalism is here to maintain the status quo they have
co-opted the son of God maintain the status quo listen we're sick and tired of what's

going on we don't want to maintain the status quo we like Jesus want to transform the world
into his image not our own we want the word of God in our nation and in the nations of
this world we want people to live by the word of God the same way Jesus did we want to see

transformation hold on to the status quo keep and maintain the status quo that's so again
that's so deceiving that's a flat lie you're lying to yourself mr. James Chalorico and
you're lying to the American people stop oh I like this one ladies gentlemen I like this
because I'm trying to get this picture in my head and the closest thing I can come up

with is Yosemite Sam from the Looney Tunes cartoons many years ago he said they've turned
this humble rabbi into a gun toting gay bashing science denying money-loving fear-mongering
fascist I don't even know how to respond all to that because that is so absolutely ridiculous
okay number one Jesus told his disciples to go get a sword take a sword with them well

what were swords used for not certainly not cutting up their salad swords were used to
defend themselves so gun toting if it was said in modern language Jesus would be telling
his disciples hey get get the means to protect yourself remember our second amendment hey
there you go gay bashing you know what I'm so sick and tired of these liberals telling

Christians that all we are is hateful gay bashers because we disagree with their lifestyle
and have no problem telling them that it's actually the most loving thing that we can
do let me explain that to you because if we know that there's a lifestyle or an action
or a thought or something that's leading somebody to hell it's loving to tell them hey you're
going to hell you need to stop that that's the most loving thing to do but just allow

chose to do that but many of them did it says they did not part they refused to participate
in the economy there is absolutely no way on God's green earth that you can live anywhere
unless you completely go 100% off grid out in the wilderness somewhere completely by
yourself that you cannot participate in the world's economy it's impossible it's impossible
