look who it is!! we are back for a new episode today to recap the past few weeks. we’ve started a book club, been loving new spots around Scottsdale, and celebrated Keeley’s birthday!!!! it has been one whole year of starting the podcast so we hope you enjoy! it’s officially summer in Arizona so we are ready to stay in doors and get recording new episodes for you all! Yeah, it's been two months sinceour last episode that's come to
be par for the course.

It's basically summer now.

So I guess this episode will bekind of just like a recap of the

Feeling like going into summer?
Yeah, basically.
Honestly, March.
It felt like a really longmonth.
We had March Madness, which wasso fun.
Yeah, it was really fun.
We had, we all made a bracket.
Who won overall?
Haley.
Haley course.
Haley Wood, she, she knows hercollege basketball.
She knows her collegebasketball.
I won in my work one.

I got second place actually.
Yeah.

One got 20 bucks and when I wentto go collect my prize, the
person that was running it waslike.

And then we had St.
Patrick's Day, which was so fun.
We had a really good St.
Patrick's Day.

We went and day drank out in OldTown and it was just like a
really fun vibe.
And there were so many peopleout, like it was just.
A really good day drinkingholiday.
Definitely my favorite daydrinking holiday besides the 4th
of July, which we'll touch on,but we'll touch on.
There was a lot of fanatics Iwould say that occurred on St.
Patrick's Day.
Yeah.
And it's so crazy now because aswe get into the April recap,

it's so funny because St.
Patrick's Day was when wediscovered the new Bar Kill
Club, and that's like now ourfavorite place to go.
That's our True Kill Club was.
I kind of introdu, well, I'dbeen there like once, but Keely
had never been there.
I didn't even go that weekend.
Didn't go that weekend.
But we were there a lot.
And then that's our new favoritebar in Old Town, so we've been
there.
All way too much all month long,but we can't help it.

It's so fun.
And so, yeah, March wasn't, oh,and also, it's so funny too
because in the, in the Lostepisode that we recorded Gone
With the Wind Totally.
In some metaverse somewherebeing kept safe.

We talked about how we juststarted the new Hunger Games
book and now we finished it.
Yeah.
We had, so we had our first everbook club.
So I guess like going intosummer, we're trying to have at

I'm trying to go into summerwith good mentality of like.
Knowing I'm not gonna be outsidethat much and like just knowing
I'm gonna have to find fun newthings to do inside.
Because I feel like last summerI went into it being like, oh, I
still wanna go to the pool andgo outside and do these things.
And it was just like too hot.
And then I felt cooped up.
So now I'm going into the summerwith.

New hobbies and new things todo.
One of which is we started abook club and Hunger Games is
our first book.
It was Hamish's 50th game.
So if you're not familiar, it'sso funny'cause it's so
prominent.
Like Hunger Games in general isso prominent in our day-to-day.
Like even before this book cameout, it's like we actually we're
always talking about the HungerGames, it's such a niche subject
that we always talk about.

We obsess over and like when Itell people they're like.
Like if it randomly comes uplike what I'm reading, I'm like,
oh, the new hungry is like, oh,there's a new one.
We've been so locked in sincethe day it was announced.
We've been so locked in and it'ssuch a niche thing for us that I
forget that not everyone's likeas obsessed as we are.
I know, but we had a really funbook club meeting this past week
our friend Ellie hosted and shewent to the nines with all the

food.
And like we had so manypotatoes, so many potatoes,
which is very relevant to thebook.
And so we're going to once amonth do our little book club,
and it was a really good book tostart with because the best
feeling and like, I forget, likeI used to not be a book person.
And now that I am, there's nobetter feeling when you like,
literally can't put your bookdown.
And now that I've finished mybook, I just can't wait to get

started on my new one.
And I ordered our new one today.
Good.
Yeah, we have.
Basically, this is just gonna belike our new thing.
I'm gonna try to read more thissummer, and that's kind of.
Something new, I guess.
Yeah.
We encourage you guys to get anew little summer hobby.
I mean, it's obviously not ashot as it is here.

Like now that you've likesettled into the new year, like

start one of those hobbies thatyou decided that you wanted to
get into for the new Year's.
Been getting into baking a tinybit and she's gonna get into it
more.

Now that I've got a little bitof a, I got more space to work
with.
Yeah.
Keely signs a new.
Lease in July.
Yeah, living with Riley and Iend my current lease in May, so
I'll be moving back to my dad'sfor a little bit, which.

A year ago when we started thepod was where I was already kind
of living.
So it'll be kind of fun to like,oh, I'm either gonna move with
my dad or my sister.

Who knows where I'll be nexttime we record episode,

But yeah, I'm excited.
I think it'll be nice to kind oflike regroup for like two months
and then like get my lifetogether.
Save a little money, a lot ofbig things happening over
summer.
It's like I know I'm just gonnabe working and then like here

every weekend, exactly how itwas last year.
Yeah, it's coming up on one yearof us being.
On the pod, which is kind ofcrazy.
I think we recorded an episode ayear ago because it was after
the birthday, right before Ileft for London.
Yeah, we were just starting thepod at this time last year, so
this might be a happy one year.
One year to the pod, which iskind of crazy.
And also like wait one year withlike eight episodes under our

belt is crazy we were mostactive over summer because we
were cooped up actually, I wasgonna say that I'm sure this
summer we'll have more like thiswill be one of our new inside.
Hobbies to do.

guests in there.
People, oh my God, I wanna havea guest so bad.
And people don't realize, likethe tech is actually really

But book club was this past weekand then before that was my
birthday.
And I definitely wanna recapKiley's birthday, my birthday.
So I had taken off.
Thursday and Friday before mybirthday because I just kind of
wanted to have like a longweekend.
And work was so crazy because Iwas taking over for a coworker.

I don't really have a lot ofdays off to spare, but I was
like, why not just kind of givemyself those two days?

To like honestly chill.
And if people won't rememberlast year, Keely had, it's not
that you had a bad birthday, butyou just felt a little bit like
out body.
And so I feel like you neededmore time to just enjoy this
birthday without it being sorushed and frazzled, if that

And it's not to say that I'mlike, okay, I'm gonna say this
and then when I explain thebirthday, it's gonna be like,
there's literally no way youmean that I'm really not a big
birthday person, but I feel likewhen your birthday's on a
weekend, it's like, last yearwas a Friday, this year was a
Saturday.
Yeah.
I feel like when it's a weekend,it's like, it makes more sense
to just have like a.
Birthday weekend.

And so last year I think I gotreally overwhelmed with like, I
have this plan and this plan andthis plan and this plan, and
after this, this, and that.
So this year I, I knew it wasgonna be like a weekend event
Uhhuh, and it was, but it doesget, I was just like, wait, I'm
just gonna go with the flow andlike, poor chill.
It doesn't need to be 10:00 AMthis, 2:00 PM this we kind of
thought we were gonna drink atthe pool and then we ended up

not, and it was just chilling,so it was kind of like day of
making.
Plans.
Just seeing how we feel versusmaking it so structured was
better.
And also too, I was like, anyonecome to the pool?
But the fact it was just us wasreally nice because, people came
and gone so I took Thursday andFriday off, like I said.

I honestly hung out all day.
Chilled by the pool.
Actually I'm getting way tooahead of myself.

Wednesday night we unlocked anew burger place.
We went to, oh my God.
We went to Bad Jimmy's.
We went to bad Jimmy's Maria.
It was so good.

Like they make their smashburgers so smashed that it's
like crispy, if that makes sensebecause it's so smashed.

Told me that the fries werelike, fine, but the fries I was
obsessed with.

So we've been on like a reallybig burger kick to preface.
Obsessed with burgers, obsessedwith burgers.

We're in like the biggest burgerera ever.
We're turning into burgers overhere.
We've eaten Sony burgers.
We're turning into burgers, andso El Camino is just like this
little spot that we found,little spot that we found is
crazy.
A little hole on the wall wall,but it kind of wall is, it's
kind of like divy and likewesterny.
It's chill and like chill vibes,which we love.
Yeah, it's right across from SDKand right next to the ends,
which is prime real estate.

If you ask me prime, prime realestate, which we'll dive into
the ends later, but El Camino, agood friend of mine had.
But basically a good friend ofmine showed me this burger place
and we went to it and it's sogood and we'll post a picture of
it on the story.
It's big smash burgers and verythin french fries.

And it's so good and so cheap.
Yeah.
Something like, something tolike note about this place is El
Camino is so fast, so good, socheap.
Yeah, and it's a very Westernvibe, so it's perfect for Old
Town.
It's kind of like in and out,honestly.
Like it's probably the,realistically you probably spend
the same amount there then asInn Out dude.
And honestly, on a good dayyou're paying less.
Yeah.

It's crazy hits.

So we definitely recommendthere.
So because of that, we knew wewanted to kind of like hit a few
more burger spots.
Mm-hmm.
So Wednesday night before, likeThursday and Friday and
everything, we were like, Rileywas going outta town.
And so we knew we wanted to dolike a little birthday
celebration with her.
Mm-hmm.
So I was like.
Like, let's go to bad Jimmy's.

Yeah.
So we get to bad Jimmy's andit's very limited seating.
More of a retro vibe, I wouldsay.
Yeah, definitely retro, way moreexpensive.
Their burgers are so different.
Their fries are so different,but overall it's hard to pick
which is better.
Yeah.
I have a really hard time justin general comparing like they

taste different, like.
They taste different to me, soit's hard to say If we're making
like a circle graph, I would sayin the middle they're both
equally delicious.
There's a very specific vibe tothem.
But like you can't be ElCamino's prices and you can't
beat the location.
We can walk there.

I also, you know what I was alsothinking about, I have to get

lettuce wrap burgers because.
I can't really eat a lot of thebuns because a lot of'em say may
contain sesame.
So I honestly think that'sanother reason that burger like
burgers honestly taste the same.
I'm actually gonna change myopinion when I said they taste
really different.
I actually think burgers tastekind of similar to me because I
don't have the bun factor.
Like lettuce is just lettuce, ifthat makes sense.

Yeah, that's true.
I think there's a big, like Idon't have a different bun.
Yeah, it's just lettuce.
So like how.
Different can it taste?
And it's so upsetting.
'cause I genuinely prefer asesame seed bun when I eat a
burger.
But anyway, so I guess I'm, I'mchanging what I'm contradicting
myself, but basically I'm sayingthat.
Burgers in general sometimestaste similar to me because they
are, I feel like they don't havethe element of like the bun

being different.

But I would say when it comes toa burger, it's like it's hard to
fuck a burger up, but it's soeasy to make a really good
burger.

It's kind of like pasta andpizza, like it's so easy to make
good and it's so easy.
Like the simple, easy, it's likeyou can do it, but like when
it's bad, it's bad.

I just hung up by the pool.

Danielle and I went toLightheart Cafe.
It's my favorite little matchaspot.
We hung up by the pool.
Danielle worked and I justtanned.
We played some music.
Dylan joined us.
We got sourdough bagels atLightheart, ate that.
Then we went to Lagree, whichwas really fun.

It's like the hardest Pilatesclass in the whole world.
Shout out Dill.
Her class is insane.
Immediate sore.
That night, me and Bella wentout in Tempe for our friend.
She was hosting some DJs at SunBar.
So we went to support her'causeshe was like the one that hosted
it, which is really cool.
But before that, I went to mydad's for dinner.
He's the sweetest thing onearth.

He was like, oh, I'll make you alittle birthday dinner.
He made shrimp with scallopsauce, salmon, and then king
crab legs.
So perfect.
And then he made a homemadeberry cobbler, which was so nice
to me.
He's such a good chef.
Such a good chef.
And then Friday I, what did Ieven see?
It's like, I can't evenremember, but it was like all so

perfect and just like chill.
I think I just like laid by thepool again.
Hung out.
Oh, I went to Lifetime withDanielle.
Yeah.
We did a little walk, we didamenities.
We, we went on a morning walk.
We went on a morning walk, andthen they went to Lifetime.
Then we went to Lifetime, andthen we hung out by the pool.
And then that night we went tothe ends and I'd heard high,

high reviews from the ends, butI hadn't been, which it's
basically like a hidden kind ofgem in Old Town.
Like they don't reallyadvertise.
There's not a sign with theirname.
Like they're definitely hiddenand you kinda have to know about
it, which I.
Knew through Danielle and thenKeely had went and they both
gassed it up.
So I was like, okay, I have highexpectations, but my

expectations were exceeded.

Happy hour, perfect vibe.
Again.
Neighbors with El Camino, withPrime real estate they had such
good drinks, great service, andthe food was so good.
The biscuits were so good.
And seed oil free.
Oh my God.
The biscuits, I got the biscuitsthat cut you a pepe.
And then the drinks.
And like I was kind of sayinglike.

Here's what I'll just show foran example.
Like, so basically I didn't,well, I was just saying how I
have the allergies and when Icalled bad Jimmy's the burger
place, I heard the guy not evenask on the phone.
The chef like, he's like, ohyeah, I'll ask the chef if it
has it.
He did not ask, and then he waslike, it's all good.
And then.
I literally was like, no, it'snot.
Which is why I had to get thelettuce one anyways,'cause he

didn't even bother.
But then like when we were atthe end, the waitress was so
nice and was like, checkingeverything, make sure it was all
good.
And like, super like you, if youknow, you know, if you'll have
food allergies, like sometimesyou.
You, you don't feel like you cantrust the people because they
just don't seem like they care.
And then sometimes people like,go above and beyond to make sure
you feel like safe.
And they were like so nice thereand she was so nice.

I was like, I appreciate you.
She's so nice.
Yeah, so we had a great dinner.
We had a great dinner.
So then Maria, you know, wasjust asking for a little mint
from Danielle.
Yeah, I wanted them in.
We didn't really have like aplan afterwards.
We were trying to figure outwhat we wanted to do.
We took some photos outside.
It was kind of rainy.
It was kind of like a, what'snext?
And like I never, I don't knowwhy I always do this.

I was like, I'm not gonna go outon my birthday weekend.
I just wanna chill.

Always big lie.

And Maria or Danielle went to gograb a mint from Maria and she
found six free shots at Montauk.

Just in her purse.
Cards from like when she wentthe other night because she went
the other night and her waitressforgot to put, forgot to bring

her her food and like put theorder in.
So I guess they had givenDanielle and Vinny six free shot
cards and Vinny had just putthem in Daniel's purse.
Like Daniel didn't even knowthey were in there at all.
She didn't even know she hadthem.
And guess how many people wereat dinner?

So it was perfect.
So we're like, okay, theuniverse wants us to go to
Montauk and get a shot.
And mind you, Danielle doesn'ttake shots.

So it was so perfect that itwas, it was so random.
She had random, so we likescurried off to Montauk in the
freezing cold.
You, oh yeah.
I was gonna say, yeah, you, oh,my throat's like so dry.
Well keep in mind the ends like,we couldn't really see outside
basically at the ends we're.
Just like vibing at the table.
We're not even looking outside.
We go outside.
The wind is absolutely blowing.

It's probably 50 degrees.
It's drizzling.
It was the cold.
Like Arizona, people don'texpect to go step foot out and
feel a type of weather besideshot.
So like we were shook and wesprinted over to Montauk to get
shots in our, in our teeny tinyheels.
So we walk in, I think theyordered, it was like lemon cello
shots.
Yeah.

Passion fruit.
Mm, passion fruit.
Fruit was theme of the night.
Major theme of the weekend ofthe weekend.
So took those shots quickly andthen where else could we go but
kill club, our new favorite bar.
So we went there and we played arun of darts, which is the fact
that we can just like walk in,like we just bought a round of
darts and it was so fun.
And you played the way youplayed art.
It's kind of like bowling.
So picture like you have the TVscreen up there and then you

each get to take your littlepicture before and then it will
say your turn and it'll showyour score.
So it's just like bowlingbasically, but darts, yeah.
And my dress was a very lightpink, but in the darkness it
looked white.
So everyone thought I wasgetting married that night.
They thought I was there for mybachelorette party.
Well, no, this is not the onlyreason why Keely just looked
absolutely divine.
And so basically what she'sgonna say next, oh you, is that,

oh, let's just say guys we'relining up to buy us drinks and
not just, not just like drinkdrinks, like.
Cocktails, like nice cocktailsfor all of us.
It was just like, okay, how manydrinks do you guys need?
What do you guys want?
It was nonstop.
It was a line of people.
It's never like that, but Ithink you were just blowing
people away and they were like,oh, stop trying to impress.
So they were buying us cocktailsand it was delicious.

Delicious.
And they would just like walkaway.
Yeah.
It was so awesome.
It was so awesome.
We were treated like royalty.
Royalty at Kill Club.
So that was so fun.
And then we went upstairs and wewere nibbling on popcorn the
thing we like about Kill Clubalso, like it's not like we're
always for like, like we havefun with each other.
It's not like we need like theboys being out, so to say.
But Kill Club has a good ratioof guys, like there's always a

lot of guys there.
Mm-hmm.
And a lot of our friends arethere too.
A lot of friends.
Like just a lot of people weknow.
But basically we're having sucha good time.
Like Keely, I'm not like withKeely Red at this moment.
Mm-hmm.
I think you're with like Dylanor something.
And basically all of a sudden.
I'm like sitting there totallyvibing and all of a sudden I got

like the biggest heat wave, youknow, if when you feel like
you're gonna throw up and youget like such a hot flash,
that's what happened.
And I was like, oh my God, I'mgonna throw up.
And then I realized like, wait,no, I'm not gonna throw up.
My vision started going and Iwas like, oh my God, no, I'm not
gonna throw up.
I'm gonna pass out.
Ugh.
And I had actually been sayingall week, like I felt kind of
dehydrated, I think just like itwas getting hotter.

I don't know.
And.
I guess I had even said that toDaniel earlier in the day, I
thought I was gettingdehydrated, that I felt
dehydrated.
And I've passed out before, so Iknow the feeling like it was the
exact same feeling.
So I go to the bar to try to getwater and one of the guys that
bought us cocktails earlier waslike, so nice.
I was like, do you need me tobuy you a bottle of water?
And I was like, yes, please.
Or he's like, I'll just buy youa bottle of water.

And I was like, just please.
And I was like, king.
But then I couldn't, I couldfeel like, I don't know if you
feel that your vision, if peoplehave ever had like their vision
going, but like.
I knew I couldn't stand for likefive more seconds to even wait
for my water.
So I just sprinted over to thecorner and like sat in the
corner of the bar right by thebathroom and then security.
And then Keely came running overwith the water and Leah came
over and security like was like,you can't sit up here, you have

to go downstairs.
'cause I was like.
Do you agree?
And then I had to like go downthe stairs with the security,
like holding my hand so I didn'tfaint.
And then people thought I wasgetting kicked outta the bar.
Like Leah heard people say like,oh, that girl's getting kicked
out.
And I was like, no, I'm not.
And then I like chugged.
I like sat on the side of theroad outside of the bar and
chugged a water.
And like, I think like the coldair is also.

Kill club upstairs.
There's like no fresh air, nolike there's no windows or
anything.
So I think like being out in thecold and like chugging the
water, I was definitely justdehydrated, maybe like a little
hot.
Anyways, then we called our Uberand went home.
So I kind of had to leaveKeely's birthday cell, but it
was not my choice because itwas, that was just Friday night
and like it was just Fridaynight.
And so for my POV, needless tosay, and no pun intended, that

Friday night friends just weredropping like flies.
Like one person would leave.
One person would leave.
Yeah, two people would leave.
Totally.
And the last men standing wereme and Dill.
Yeah.
And so we ended up like en likefound ourself out going to
Wasted Grain for some reason.
The thing about Kill Club islike, it's a great place to
start because like there is likereally good drinks there and

then, but by like 11:00 PM like.
Everyone's kind of gone.
Yeah.
So it was kind of time for us togo.
It was almost midnight and like,I was like, do I wanna stay out
for midnight?
Do I just wanna go home?
Like everyone's kind of leaving.
We have a whole day tomorrow.
We ended up at Wasted Grain,stayed there till midnight.
Someone, some of our friends metus there and we like took some
shots then.

I can't really say many details,but let's just say I found
myself back at my apartment withDylan and some cryptic
characters having a therapysession till 3:00 AM I'm crying.

always talking about the HungerGames, it's such a niche subject

We've been so locked in sincethe day it was announced.

I know, but we had a really funbook club meeting this past week
our friend Ellie hosted and shewent to the nines with all the

And like we had so manypotatoes, so many potatoes,

And so we're going to once amonth do our little book club,

feeling and like, I forget, likeI used to not be a book person.

And now that I've finished mybook, I just can't wait to get

Just got some coffee, pastriesand snacks.

But then afterwards we hoppedback in the car and drove

And we were also cracking upbecause Ellie kept missing the
turn, like on the maps, like sheplugged in the maps and then

didn't look at it once andmissed every turn.
But like, we didn't care becausewe were just vibing so much.
We were vibing.
So Harley, me and Ellie on thefront, like singing to each
other, like whatever washappening on that map was not
our business.

And then Ellie was like, or youwere like, why are you guys
laughing back there?
'cause me, Danielle and Leo werein the back and then we.
We've been watching Ellie missevery turn, but we've just been
vibing.
We've just been vibing.
So that was a, yeah, that was apeak moment.

And then from there we hadheaded over to, you know what
I'm saying?
This, and like you're gonna seein the vlog.
You could probably guess if youwatch Marine TikTok is what we
did.
After that, we went to theLincoln pool and we vibed, and
then we got AJ's.
Like that's just the most atthis point.
Like I should just use the samefootage over and over.
Like that's all do would do onthe Saturdays these days.
But like does, does it hit everytime?

Yes.
There's just nothing else.
Like it's just the.
Perfect Saturday and we justlike played some music, laid by
the pool, got a nice tan.
We talked to our favoriteLincoln, local Charlie obsessed
Edin stopped by, she showed usher dress'cause she's getting
married.
It's so fabulous.
And she surprised me with alittle 1942 shot in a bloom

energy drink to, you know, spiceup the midday.
And yeah, we just hung out forhours out there.
And then at one point we werelike.
We are so hungry.
We were like, we need to gofeast it.
AJ's no.
And what's better than a 2:00 PMslice?

It was more like three, whichwas the problem because
basically then we had to sprinthome, get ready.
We were running late.

But honestly, like for usrunning late as we were,
everyone looked.

We ate it up and we knew theoutfits like we were color
coordinated.

Like we knew what Keely waswearing.

But anyway, basically thesunset, sunset was gorge
gorgeous.
We went to seven, which isCaesar's Republic Hotel.

We were like hotel to hotel.
We love.
I didn't even think about that.
We were whole different hotels.
Good for us.
But we were at there.
They have a really prettyrooftop and it's perfect for
pictures and stuff.

And we also had really gooddrinks and like.

And so it just happened to beour lucky weekend because the

Oh, and basically we did becausewe've just been hyping it up.

And so he had actually messagedme and he was like, thank you so
much for hitting two of myplaces last night.

And of course I threw thebirthday card.
I was like, that's so funny.
It's actually my birthday.

So he's like, let me know whenyou're there.
So we walk in dressed to theabsolute nines to kill club.

Upset.
This is the treatment wedeserve.

At all moments, he saved a, hegot a table for us ready for
kill club and it was like 9:00PM so it was early, so it was
perfect.
And then he got shots for thetable.
Tequila shots.
I didn't have one.
I gave mine to someone.

I think I took it probably.
But at seven, like it was alittle bit of a fiasco because,
and this is not a bad thing'cause it was so worth it, like.
I was getting pulled forpictures for like an hour.
So like, while everyone wasdrinking, I like hadn't have a
sip.
I was so behind in the drinkingthat when we got to kill club, I
was like, guys, I'm a littlesober.
So Dylan got me a few.
I got like immediately, likethree shots in a row, like

immediately.
Uhhuh.
And we got a few more of thoseStarlights that we liked.
And then, yeah, we kind of justlike partied till 2:00 AM and it
was so fun.
And then it was such a vibe.
And then it was Easter and itwas such a perfect weekend and
like it was one of thoseweekends and like I was just so
genuinely happy and like Iwouldn't have changed anything
and like it, I was just sograteful for all my friends and

I felt so loved and like I wasjust so happy.

I was going into the work week.

really love my life.

and I was so tired from theweekend and I was hitting the

All weekend, like an idiot.
So my throat was feeling funkyand then I was just tired and I
didn't work out once, but soshe, she hated the week.

But it's nice now because it wasa really long week at work, but
now I have a short week at work.
