It is very likely that, even if you don’t it, you know someone living with Diabetes. The more common type is Type II Diabetes. However, according to statistics reported by the American Diabetes Association, in 2015, 30.3 million Americans, or 9.4% of the population, had diabetes. Approximately 1.25 million American children and adults have Type I Diabetes. Our special guest, Dee Brown, is one of those 1.25 million Americans living with Type I Diabetes. After being diagnosed at the age of 21, Dee made the choice to be intentional about taking control of her life and not allowing Diabetes to control her. In today’s show we will talk about the signs and symptoms of Type I Diabetes as well as some of the differences between Type I and Type II Diabetes. We will also hear from Dee about her amazing journey of living with Type I Diabetes. You definitely want to tune in and listen to Dee’s inspirational story.
