That forward-thinking mindset fueled rapid growth, transforming a family-run startup into a 20-person operation that included the next generation—daughter Jennifer, son Matt, and nephew Chris—and established Design Edge as a trusted force in taking products from concept to reality.

Matt shares how the company evolved as leadership transitioned to him in the late 1990s, ushering Design Edge into a new era of global expansion and manufacturing expertise. By 2004, Matt had expanded the business to include sourcing and opened a Hong Kong office, positioning Design Edge as not only a design and development powerhouse, but also a strategic sourcing agent for major brands like Hanes Brands, Kodak, and Barnes & Noble, alongside dozens of companies in toys, gifts, pet, food and beverage, hardware, and housewares. With industry leadership roles, including Co-Chairman of the Toy Industry Association’s designer and inventor panel and a seat on the Board of Directors for the United Inventors Association of America, Matt’s influence extends far beyond the company itself.
