SPEAKER_04 (02:35):
Thank you for joining us today.
I know that God is going to dogreat things.
We're getting ready to give themup on something great at our
church.
I'm excited about it.

(02:56):
I'm excited to see what God'sgoing to do.
I know he's got some greatthings in store for us.
Sorry that I have been out ofcommission for a while.
My last episode was posted backin July.
I am so sorry.
This is so much going on.
My wife had surgery with herback, and she's been out of

(03:20):
commission since then.
And so I've been having to takeon all the chores around the
house and take care of all ofour little four-legged friends
we have around here.
And so uh glad to be here.
It's been a long time, but Iknow God has been doing great
things in your life, and He'sbeen in control, and you're just

(03:40):
doing a great thing for God,amen.
But we're going to take a littlebreak from our book series this
episode.
I preached a message just herethe other week at a friend's
live stream, and you might haveseen it on the uh our YouTube
page.
But it's entitled Answering theCall of God.

(04:04):
And I think more than everbefore, there's been so many
people that have set back andthey said, God, I just can't do
what you want me to do.
I need to uh let someone else doit.
But I want you to know thatthere's a call on your life, and

(04:25):
he just wasn't by mistake, itwasn't anything that you had to
do.
The calls on your life was whenyou were born, actually was
before you were born.
He told Jeremiah that I knew youwhen you was in the womb.
He had a plan for him then, andhe has the same plan for you.
So there is a call upon yourlife, but you know, there's some

(04:46):
things we've got to do to stepup to that.
And in this message, talk aboutthere's six steps that we must
take that I think is vital andimportant for us to do in order
to know that we're answering thecall correctly, not just doing

(05:06):
it on our own.
Because if we are doing it onour own, then you know we're
gonna mess up.
So sit back and listen, takenotes, write these six steps
down because I believe that'llbe helpful for you.
And I hope you enjoy thismessage about answering the
call.

(07:06):
No, not today, guys.
Not today, devil.
You're not gonna win today.
I'm so glad that my God is anpowerful God.
Alright, get ready, guys.
Get ready to start this message.
Listen, if you don't follow me,follow me on Facebook at the

(07:27):
Christian Cafe.
Also, we got a new web page justpopped up.
I'll leave that at the end andI'll tell you where that's at.
And also our podcast, you canfollow us anywhere you want to,
okay?
Sit back and enjoy.

SPEAKER_06 (07:42):
Love the opportunity to be able to see God's word
because the word is what givesus free.
It's what gets us to the day.
We talked about earlier aboutnot having a bad day.
Well, if I'm having a bad day,it's called my day off.
Right.
Guess what to do start off withprayer of the word.

(08:04):
Come up with saying that's beenfollowing me for I guess for the
last week or so.
That God has a place.
I don't know about you, but Ifind myself sometimes getting

(08:25):
away from that.
I find myself not concentratingon people, not you know, paying
attention to what he's laying infront of us.
Uh we hear a lot about thismorning, especially in the in
our service at our church thismorning.
We heard about you know, God putpeople in front of us.
What do we do?
Do we spend time with them or wejust give them what they ask for

(08:48):
more stuff?
Uh I want to be better thanthat.
I want to spend time with them.
Tonight, you know, God putssomething in your in your path,
it's a reason for it.
It was not by accident, it wasintentional.
Man, it's intentional.
As I told uh Scott and SisterKayla earlier this morning at

(09:11):
the service a few weeks ago, Iwas going down the road and I
was just meditating on God, andthe scripture popped in my
popped in my head.
I get it out the minute, I getmy eye before my team working.
Um and I was just praying, meditating God, and this
scripture popped in my head, andand I began to study it.

(09:33):
Matter of fact, I was going downthe road, just man, I've got to
pull over there, I've got to getsome thoughts in my head because
it's just covered just likethat.
And so I pulled aside over theboard of scripture and just God
and speak to me.
And in the back of my mind waslike, God, I'm not preaching the
time studying, so what's is thisjust for me?
And yes, it is for me, but Ithink it's for everybody else

(09:53):
also.
And it's beginning to study, andthen then it was like two weeks
later when you asked me if Iwould speak.
And as soon as you asked me, theHoly Spirit just nudged me.
He's just told you.
And and so I began to study itout.
I told Cal earlier that I waslooking over this afternoon, you

(10:14):
know, going through it, makesure I had it in my head, and
then I just kept more and moreand more.
And I am not gonna go throughall of it because I do not have
time.
We deal with me here atmidnight, and uh I know
everybody out there can like toget offended sometimes, but you
could just cut me off.

(10:36):
But don't do that, promise you.
I've got something that God isgonna share with us tonight that
I think that will empower us andwill direct us in where we need
to go in here.
And the entitlement message, ifI had a title for it, I would
have to say it was calledAnswering the Call of God.

(10:57):
And if you've got your Biblesand you'd like to turn with me
and follow along by scriptures,Exodus 3, verses 1 through 4.
That is my scripture text, andI'm taking it from the King
James Version.
He said, What?
Well, you know, I still like theKing James Version, but I like
others too.
I was just in a conversationwith someone this week about you

(11:20):
know, King James Version is it?
Well, it's it's the greatversion.
Uh it's why I also believe thatGod gives other translations to
help us understand thingsgreater.
But this scripture here, I lovethe way the King James puts it.
And let us let's begin reading.
It says, now Moses kept theflock of Jethro, his
father-in-law, the priestimmediate, and he led the flock

(11:43):
to the backside of the desertand came to the mountain of God,
even to Woram.
And the angel of the Lordappeared unto him in a flame of
fire out of the midst of a bush.
And he looked, and behold, thebush burned with fire, and the
bush was not consumed.
And Moses said, I will now turnaside.

(12:06):
Now I want you to pay attentionto those words right there.
Put them in the back of yourhead, put them on a notepad or
whatever, just hold on to them, cast them out there in the sea
for a little bit, but get readyto go back in, go to the back as
well.
Okay.
He says, I will now turn asideand see this great sight why the
bush is not burnt.
And when the Lord saw that heturned aside to see, God called

(12:32):
unto him out of the midst of thebush and said, Moses, Moses.
And he said, Here am I, Fatherin heaven.
I love you to see that.
God, I thank you, God, for thepresence I've already felt here
this morning, this evening.
God, I pray that same presence,Father, go out upon the live
stream, God, and touch someone'sheart tonight.

(12:52):
Father Lord, help us tounderstand your word.
Help us just to take it anddigest it, Father, that we might
use it for later, that we mightsow seeds for harvest in the
future.
God, I love you.
I praise you in Jesus' name.
Amen.
When you first read the book ofExodus in the first chapter, it
looks like nothing more thanjust a list of names.

(13:16):
But let me remind you, God neverwasted.
Everything that was in his word, there was a purpose there for
it.
If you go through uh a lot oflike Leviticus, the journal
you'll see such and such beget, such and such beget.
And I'm always saying, What inthe world is that for?
But here, and we see this samething in Exodus, but every name

(13:38):
matters because every namerepresents a call.
Yes, every name represents acall.
If you remember in that chapterone, it says Reuben, Simeon,
Levi, Judah.
Those names, they weren't justrandom.
Let me just add that.

(13:59):
Your name, David, is just notrandom.
There's a purpose, there's apurpose for each and every one
of us, and he calls us by name.
They were the foundation of thetribes.
If you remember you talked, wetalked about it in Numbers 3,
and it was so funny when youstart reading out.
Well, hold on now.
Uh but you know, there werenames of tribes, they carried a

(14:23):
covenant.
They carried the covenant, theywere the fruit of Abraham's yes
to God's go.
Amen.
Let me say that again.
They were the fruit of Adam'sAbraham's yes to God's call.
Yes, just like them, your namematters to God.

(14:43):
Amen.
Because if you remember, eachtribe had chosen a leader,
right?
Each tribe.
Now I'm trying to stay in frontof this camera here.
I'm doing my very best.
But it's just hard.
I don't know if you feel thatarea, but the spirit of God is
so big standing right here.
I just I'm just having a hardtime standing still.

(15:06):
But they were their name matterfor a reason.
You were not born by accident.
You are not in this season thatyou're in by chance.
Let me say that again.
You're not in this season bychance.
I don't care what season you'regoing through, seasons change.

(15:30):
It's like fall, winter, spring, summer, they all change.
And if you remember fall, I lovefall.
It's nice, it's cool.
I don't sweat a lot, right?
Then comes winter, we freeze.
I mean, that's the worst worstseason in the world.
Then you got spring.
Flowers bloom in summer, it getshot.

(15:51):
But for every season that we'rein, there is a bad time, and
there's a good time.
Sometimes all of our seasons arenot always good.
It'll be half and half.
But in these seasons, there'sstill a purpose that you have to
do, and God's called you forthat purpose in your season.
So whatever season you're in,it's not by chance.

(16:13):
You are called, right?
Yes.
You are called.
And the call of God comes withsteps.
It's not automatic, it'sprogressive.
It grows as you grow.
The call of God is not random.

(16:34):
God's call is random.
It's intentional.
It's personal.
And it's progressive.
Moses was in the wilderness.
He wasn't on the platform.
So many people think that I'vegot to be called to be a great
evangelist, a great singer, agreat pianist, a great guitar

(16:58):
player, whatever.
I've got to be seen.
I know several people in theBible.
Nobody's singing, but God calledhim.
David.
Samuel.
Moses, we're talking abouttonight.
He was not on that.
He wasn't looking for a call.

(17:19):
Was he?
If you knew anything aboutMoses, you know, but Moses kind
of stuttered.
He had a speech again.
Wasn't well progressed.
Couldn't speak very well.
So you think anybody like thatwould be looking for a call?
I'd be saying back in a cornersomewhere, Jesus.

(17:40):
I don't want to be seen.
I don't want to be heard.
So he wasn't looking for a call.
The call came looking for him.
There's a call looking for youtonight.
If you're on the sound of myvoice and you're wondering about
your call, God's calling you.

(18:02):
All you gotta do is pick up thephone.
That's right.
Yes.
Just pick up the phone off.
Don't hesitate.
Don't let it pass you by.
I don't care if you've been inchurch all your life, been
sermon of God for 50 years.
God's still calling you.
And if you're on the sound of myvoice tonight and you don't know

(18:22):
God, and you don't know him,God's calling you.
He's saying without stretchedhands, come.
Come.
I'm here for you.
That's how God works.
He finds us in ordinary places.
He interrupts our routine.
Do you like it when Godinterrupts your routine?
I don't want to.

(18:43):
I'll be honest with you.
I don't like it when you don'troutine.
I've got my thing.
I've got to set myself.
How I'm gonna do things, youknow, and you want me to go this
way?
Now you want me to go.
No, God, I can't do that.
I got a pattern, I got, youknow, it's I've got it in my
head.

(19:05):
But God does things out of theordinary.
And if you want to interrupt theroutine, He calls us for what?
Struggle with that.
I struggle with that.

(19:26):
I've got a purpose.
I don't think I was like this.
You might not you might agreewith my history, you might be
mad at any wild care.
It really doesn't matter.
It's the way I feel.
Yeah.
If your purpose is more towardGod's purpose, come on.

(19:46):
Don't ask me.
I can give you stories.
Just show that if you're doingthings for yourself, to build
yourself up and not follow God'scall and his purpose, and it's
not doing the word of God.
You may be successful at times.

(20:10):
The call of God begins withidentity.
Begins with identity.
Just as he called them by name,he called you by name.
In Isaiah 43, verse 1, it says,Fear not, for I have redeemed
you.
I have called you by name.
You are mine.

(20:30):
Amen.
I love that.
Can we say I am his?
I am his.
Yes, amen.
I am his.
You are not defined by yourpast.
I'm so thankful by that.
Yes.
I'm so thankful.
I'm not defined by my past.

SPEAKER_08 (20:43):
Amen.

SPEAKER_06 (20:46):
You are not labeled by your failures.
We can go on that all that long.
You are a child of the man.
Think about Moses.
He thought he was an Egyptian.
Then he discovered he was aHebrew.

(21:06):
Then he became a ruler of theshepherd.
Sounds confusing.
He didn't know his identity.
It delayed the confusion he hadabout his identity.
It delayed God's holy life.
It delayed him until God spoketo him in a burning bush in a
sense, I am.

(21:33):
Now that was just foundation.
Okay.
I'll get into the message.
All right, all right.
I'm going to give you, and I'mgoing to try to go to these
quickly as I can.
May not get to it, but I willtell you before I finish these.
I'm going to give you six stepsof how to answer the call of

(21:57):
God.
Six steps, I believe, is mostimportant when it comes to call
a following call of God.
Amen.

(22:21):
Step one.
Don't have anything to write itdown if you want to send these
precious people a message.
But step one.
God calls workers, not dreamers.

(22:45):
God calls workers, not dreamers.
What was Moses doing when Godcalled him?
He said it in the very firstverse.
He said he was sending sheep.
Did he not?
He was sending sheep.
God often calls us while we'refaithful in the small things.

(23:08):
I remember another person thattended sheep that God called.
Being a sheep burner was not avery popular thing, was it?
It was probably one of the mostleast things that someone could
do.
But like I said, God calls usout of the ordinary.
When we're doing small things,God looks at that.

(23:31):
It's not so much the big thingsthat we're doing.
I used to be big on big things.
Right?
I always think God wanted to seethe big things sacrifice.
But it's the small things thatGod looks at.
In Luke 16, verse 10, he says,He who is faithful in what is

(23:51):
least is faithful also in much.
So if we're faithful in thesmall things, God can make his
ruler over me, right?
Look at Moses.
Moses was that person.
He was out there teening shit.
He saw the faithfulness ofMoses.
He saw what he was doing, and hesaid, I can use him.

(24:15):
Because he's willing to dowhatever he needed to do to
survive.
Like I said.
If we talk, if we remember aboutDavid, when Jacob came to uh
Jacob uh when David was in thefield and came to be anointed

(24:38):
his king, what was he doing?
He was minding his business.
He wasn't worried about being abig thing.
He was out doing what he needed.
He was looking after the flock.
He was looking after the thingsthat kept his family with food.
Right?
Just an ordinary thing.

(24:59):
He wasn't a prince.
He wasn't a priest.
He wasn't even a king.
Look at Joseph.
Joseph went from the pit to thehouse.
Why?
Because he should be an ordinaryman.
Wasn't nobody special.
But God calls in the ordinary.

(25:19):
Amen.

SPEAKER_08 (25:20):
Amen.

SPEAKER_06 (25:21):
Don't despise ordinary seasons.
Don't despise what you're goingthrough right now.
Amen.
They prepare you forextraordinary stylings.

SPEAKER_03 (25:30):
Yes.

SPEAKER_06 (25:32):
So whatever you're going through, God's prepared
you for.
He's preparing you right now inwhatever you're going through.
You may think that this is thehardest part of your life.
You may think that God isagainst you, and the devil is
just beating you up.
Let me tell you this.
God knows what you're at.

(25:52):
He knows what you're facing.
He knows what you're goingthrough.
And he's already dispatched anangel where you're at, and he's
already taken care of thesituation.
All you gotta do is trust him.
Be faithful in the littlethings.
And I'll make you the Lord'sover meeting.
The call comes with a divineencounter.

(26:14):
Step number two, write it down.
Pursue his presence.
Your encounter with himactivates your call.
Say that again.
Pursue his presence.
Your encounter activates yourcall.

(26:35):
Don't pursue the gifts.
Pursue his presence.
Once we get in his presence, ohhallelujah, I'm good on the Holy
Ghost.
Once we get into his presence, then everything else works as it
needs to.
The gift of God comes throughthe Holy Spirit.

(26:57):
The burning bush was God's wayof getting Moses' attention.
Every calling begins with anencounter with God.
An angry encounter.

(27:17):
The call does not come beforethe encounter.

SPEAKER_07 (27:21):
That's good.

SPEAKER_06 (27:23):
The call does not come before the encounter.
Acts 9, verses 3 through 6 says,As he was approaching Damascus
on the mission on his mission, alight from heaven suddenly shone
down around him.
He fell to the ground and hearda voice saying to him, Saul,
Saul, why are you persecutingme?

(27:45):
Who are you, Lord?
Saul asked.
And the voice replied, I amJesus, the one who you are
persecuting.
Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you
must do.
It was not that God told Saulfirst, going into to do what you

(28:08):
gotta do.
He had to get Saul's attention.
He says, Who are your Lord?
And if you notice in his text,Lord is not capitalized.
So he was not his Lord yet.
It was not until he encounteredGod that he became his Lord.

(28:31):
Oh, hallelujah! After heencountered God, then God became
his Lord.
Then he was open up to what Godwas telling him to do.
And he said, Go right again intothe city, and you will be told
what to must do.
Go ahead and read the rest ofme.
See what God does.
Amen.
In Isaiah 628, Isaiah's visionin the temple prompted him to

(28:57):
say, Here I am, Lord, send me.
When God asked who he was, whenGod asked who is going to send
as a messenger, I say spoke upand says, You're Lord.
Send me.
He had an encounter with God.

(29:19):
He recognized who he was.
An encounter with God was birthof calling.
Amen.

(29:41):
Amen.
I I'm so glad that God birthedsomething in me.
I'm so glad that when he called,I answered.
I didn't step to the side andsay, No, Lord, was I nervous or
was I scared?
Yes, because my family, my dadhas been a minister all my life.
Life that I think.

(30:02):
My brother was called to preach.
Preaching for uh quite a fewyears.
I'm the elements.
And when God called me topreach, I said, God, sure.
That's life.
I said, that's a preacher.
My brother's preacher.
I don't want to be.
Everybody say, well, you know, you're only a preacher because
you did a good preacher, andblah blah blah.

(30:23):
That's what people were saying.
God told me, He said, Don'tworry about what they said.
That's what I said.
Thus said the Lord.
So he called me into theministry.
Has it always been good?
Have I had good seasons?
No.
Not all the time.
There's been some brothers.
There's still some brothers.

(30:45):
But I'm so thankful that as longas I follow the voice of God,
you'll do what he said he woulddo.
Amen.
Amen.
He's birthed something in you.
He's birthed something in you todo without the answer to God.
The call requires a response.

unknown (31:10):
Amen.

SPEAKER_06 (31:11):
Amen.
Step number three.
Turn aside.
Make face or room, whichever youlike, to hear God's voice.
Turn aside.
Make space to hear God's voice.

(31:32):
In verse three of that of thescripture text I read tonight,
Moses said, I will now turnaside and see.
So picture this.
You're walking in thewilderness, and all of a sudden
you see a burning bush.

(31:54):
It's on fire.
It's burning, but it's not beingconsumed.
And in one translation, I thinkit's the uh NLT View Liver
Translation, it says, He says,That's amazing.
I've got to see what's going on.

(32:15):
And it's not like, you know, hewas just he was just walking
around and it was in front ofhim.
Okay?
Because if it was, there wassomething that he had to do.
But when he saw the bush, it waslike maybe to his left or to the
right.
I don't know what that's saying.
But the Bible says that heturned aside.

(32:39):
He made a response.
Now he could have kept going andsay, that's amazing right there.
You know, I mean, I'm sure younever been driving down the road
someplace or or something, yousee something, you say, Wow,
look at that.
But we just keep on going, right?

(33:00):
They're not important.
But the Bible says that Mosesturned aside.
He made a move to the directionof the burning bush.
And then the Bible says that Godspoke through the bush.

(33:22):
God didn't speak until Mosesturned aside.
Amen.
So if you want God to draw nearto you, what you gotta do?

(33:44):
You gotta turn aside.
You gotta make an effort.
You gotta give God a response.
Yes, yes, God's a binder, butGod will not force you to do
anything that you don't want todo.
Right.
He'll lay it out there for you,and he'll show you what you need

(34:08):
to do, and he'll lay it therejust prove your pleas.
But if you don't actually make aresponse to do something, Moses
could have just kept going.

SPEAKER_08 (34:22):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_06 (34:25):
And think about this.
If Moses had to keep going, whatdo you think happened with the
children of Israel?
Yes, don't want us to comealong.
God always got back up.
Moses would miss that a wholelot of it.

(34:47):
Calling requires attention, itrequires willingness, and it
requires.
Don't get mad, don't get upset.
But nobody likes his wordwhatsoever.
But it calls, it requires us tosurrender.

(35:08):
Yes.
I know, I know, I know.
It's hard to surrender my will.
It's hard, it's hard for me tosurrender everything that I
want, everything I I've got, oror my will, or what I think
should happen.
But it requires full attention.

(35:31):
It requires us to be willing todo that.
It requires us to totallysurrender to the plan of God.
Amen.
Amen.
If we were to surrender to God,God can use us.

(35:52):
Amen.
Amen.
But if we are constantlyfighting God, if we're
constantly telling God, I can'tdo this, now if you remember the
story of Moses, if you read it,keep reading down in that
chapter, you'll find out thatMoses said, I can't do this.
But every time that Moses cameover excuse, God had an answer.

(36:14):
He even told, he said, Well,I'll send Aaron with you.
I'm paraphrasing you guys, okay?
It's a little different in thescripture, but this is what it
means.
So every time we offer excuseand we don't surrender, God can

(36:34):
make us think about Kingdom.
He can make us think about it,but we gotta be willing to do
it.
We got we got to pay attentionto what God wants us to do.
We have to.
If we're constantly praying,God, I want more of you.
God, I want to make room for inmy life, everything you want me

(36:56):
to do.
But we never ever make a movetoward what we're praying, then
it's just about words, it's notfrom the heart, it's good, and
God sees the heart.
You can talk all day long, butGod, all you want to, but He
knows what's in the heart.

(37:16):
Yes, we can stand up in front ofcrowd people.
I'm doing this for the church,I'm doing that.
I'm I'm so involved in my localchurch.
But are you doing it to be seenor are you doing it from the
heart, a service heart?
Amen.
God knows, right?
God knows.

(37:38):
You may you may think you'reyou're hiding it from everybody,
you may be hiding it from yourfriends and family, everybody
else, but you're not hiding fromGod.
God knows your heart.
He knows if you're fullysurrendered to Him, He knows if
you're giving it full attention,He knows that if you're willing
to do what He's called you todo.
Do we get tired of let merephrase that?

(38:02):
Do we get burnt out in ourheart?
It's a good question.
I I think we do sometimes.
I think we get to the place thatyou know we're doing so much for
God that we forget that we needtime to rejuvenate and get the
word from God, right?
And we get burnt out.

(38:24):
I can tell you, I've been burntout a lot of times, and I and
those times when I got burntout, I realized that my spirit
self was not how do I put this?
It was not the right, and I hadto step back and I had to get

(38:46):
some word, I had to get intoservices where I didn't do
anything, but just feast on theword God and His presence, and
and I'm so thankful of that nowthat I have an opportunity that
I can regulate what I'm doing atchurch and be in a service where
I can get rejuvenated.
Try not to get myself burnt out.

(39:07):
We all don't do it.
Don't don't say you don'tbecause you if you work at any
any job in a church, you'regonna get burnt out if you're
not letting yourself get filledup from God.
Amen.
The call is personal.

(39:28):
Step forward.
We might get through this.
Recognize the call as personal,it's for you, not just for
leaders or preachers.
Say that again.
Recognize the call as personal,in other words, it's for you.

SPEAKER_08 (39:51):
Amen.

SPEAKER_06 (39:52):
You don't have to be a preacher, you don't have to be
a leader.
You are a child of God, amen.
So when God calls you, he'scalled you into your purse.
Amen.
God called Moses.
It's verse four that scripturewe said.

(40:14):
God called Moses.
Moses.
God doesn't call you by yourtitle.
Oh, I've got to say that Goddoesn't call you by your title.
I don't care if you hold hold adoctrine in theology.
I don't care if you're a pastoror you're a great evangelist
anything.
God does not know you by that.

(40:35):
That's a good word.
God knows you by your name.
Amen.
He's put you put a name on you.
He knows the gifts that youhave, but he does not notice you
by it.
True calling is not measured bytitle, but by fruit.
I'm gonna say that again.

(40:55):
True calling is not measured bytitle, but by fruit.
Yes.
John 15, verse 16 says, I chooseyou that you should go and bear
fruit, and that your fruitshould remain.
Nowhere in that verse, I chosethe pastor, or I chose the

(41:20):
evangelists, I chose the prophetor the apostle.
He says, I chose you.
I chose you, Cala.
Think about this.
God calls your name.
I called you God.
God, God, and he'll keep callingto you guys.

SPEAKER_08 (41:43):
Yes, yes, he will.

SPEAKER_06 (41:45):
Remember Samuel.
Young Samuel.
He was asleep.
Heard a voice, Samuel Samuel.
He gets up and he runs to Eli.
Eli said, I didn't call yougonna lay back down.
Samuel goes lay back down.

(42:07):
Samuel, Samuel.
This is a runs Eli G.
A third time.
Eli says, next time you getcalled the Lord.
Next time he knew his lay down.

(42:28):
He says, Samuel, Samuel.
Samuel the words, here I am,Lord.
He had a response.
He made a response.
He recognized that his call waspersonal.
He recognized that it was notbecause who he was, because
Samuel was not nobody important,right?
God don't look at your past.

(42:50):
He don't look at where you camefrom.
He don't care where you camefrom.
Thank you, Jesus.
It doesn't matter to him.
Jeremiah says, I think it wasJeremiah.
Yeah, Jeremiah 1 and 5.
He says, For I before I formedyou in the womb, I knew you.
I knew what you I had you gonnado before you was born.
That's what he told Jeremiah.

(43:12):
So don't you think he meant thesame thing for us?
That's right.
He knew us before we was born.
He knew how much we might mightmess up in life.
He knew how much we were strayaway from the truth that was
given.
He knew that sometimes we mightbe more rebellious.
I think none of us think you'rebeing rebellious.

(43:39):
I don't know if I told yourstory before, but my mom, I
found this out before she died, that she used to pray that God
will save me and kill me.
I have my own agenda.
Do my own thing, I went, I dowhat I do.
You see, God calls you.

(44:02):
God puts a call in your life, itdoesn't go away.

unknown (44:04):
That's right.

SPEAKER_06 (44:05):
So you might say that God has called you from the
wound, right?
Because that's what he did toride.
He calls Jeremiah from thewound.
God knows your name.
He knows your past.
He knows your failures.
And guess what?
He still called me.

SPEAKER_07 (44:26):
He's still calling me.

SPEAKER_06 (44:32):
I'm nobody by a child of God in his eyes.
And if he's willing to takesomeone like me and use me in
his word, in his kingdom, Godhelp me.
That I can follow the path thathe's let me on.
If you're out there this evenand God has called you to and
you're telling yourself you'renot able, remember, Moses said

(44:54):
he was not able.
But Moses had an error.
I don't know who your errand istonight, but God's gonna tell
you to step out of faith.
God's gonna feel it, God's gonnause you wherever you go,
whatever you face tomorrow.
You're gonna see a change.
Oh, hallelujah.
You're gonna see a change inwhat's God doing in your life
tomorrow.
Grab my words.

(45:14):
Don't don't take my word, buttake God's word.
That's what the word says.
He says, I formed you in theword.
I knew you.
I knew what I had plans for you.

SPEAKER_08 (45:22):
Yes.

SPEAKER_06 (45:23):
Oh, hallelujah.
Oh, Yamaha.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
Recognize the cause personal.
It is for you.
It's not for nobody else.
We can't do everything everybodyelse does.
I'm not a very good speaker.

(45:44):
My English is not very good.
But I don't let that stop me.
I'm not elegant in the words oranything like that.
But I know what God's called meto do.
When we realize what God'scalled us to do, when we realize
that the call that God's put onour life is personally for us to

(46:05):
do, don't let the devil or noone else's family or anybody
else tell you you can't do that.

SPEAKER_07 (46:11):
Yes.

SPEAKER_06 (46:12):
If you know that you have a divine encounter with
God, you know that you were onthe road to Damascus, and God
spoke to you and told you thisis what you have to do.
You do it and you do it to allyour might.

unknown (46:27):
Amen.

SPEAKER_06 (46:28):
Don't let nobody tell you you can't do it.
It's your cause.
You don't have to be a priest.
Someone well known.
Amen.
I'm so thankful for that.

(46:50):
Step number five.
We're gonna get through this.
Say, here I am.
Answer the call with surrender.
Here I am.
Answer the call with surrender.

(47:11):
God called Moses.
What did he say?
Here I am.
Here I am, Lord.
That is the language ofsurrender and availability.
Amen.
When we say here we are, Godwe're saying, Lord, take me as I
am, use me.
I have availability.

(47:31):
Romans 12:1 says, present yourbody a living sacrifice.
God didn't call Moses barefootto humiliate to humiliate him.
Amen.

unknown (47:45):
Amen.

SPEAKER_06 (47:45):
He called him to remind him.
If you read it, keep readingdown.
When Moses turned toward thebooks, God stopped him and
called him, don't come nocloser.
He's just taking sheep sandalsoff your holy ground.
It was not to humiliate him, butit was to remind him that he was

(48:08):
in the presence of an AlmightyGod.
And that he needed to reversethat.
This call isn't about your shoesor your strength or your path or
your status.
Amen.
It's about walking in hispresence.
It's all about walking in God'spresence because we cannot do

(48:30):
anything outside the presence ofGod.
That's right.
It is impossible to do the callif we're outside of his
presence.
Yes.
Who's going to find our battlesif we're out of his presence?
We've got to be in his presence.
In his presence, there's power,there's liberty, there's

(48:52):
freedom.
I don't want to work outside hispresence.
I want to be in his presence.
Every time I wake up in themorning, every time I go to bed
at the morning, I cannot dothings that don't have his
friend.
I just don't have it.
Is there times that we strugglewith that?

(49:14):
Yes.
Because the enemy is tryingalways trying to mess with our
mind.
That's the only thing bothers usin our mind.
He needs to start speaking to usand tell us things that you just
don't do.
No good.
But then we got to speak theword.
This is my call.
Yes.
I surrendered everything I'vegot to God.

(49:35):
He said he'd walk with me if Ijust sacrifice myself.
If I walk in his presence, thenI'm taking care of.
He told Moses the same thing.
He says, You walk in mypresence.
Cloud by night, hour by day.
Right?
I'll lead you, I'll guide you,I'll take you wherever you need
to go.
All you need to do is follow.

(49:58):
My plan for you is simple.
Follow me.
Step number six.
We have been called out of theordinary.

(50:20):
We have encountered God.
We get a response to God, and werealize that it's personal.
And we have surrendered to thecall.
Step number six.
The call is to go and not sitstill.

(50:42):
Amen.
I could stay right here for thenext hour and a half.
But I won't do that.
The call sends you out.
Right?
Later in Exodus 3, verse 10, Godtells Moses, Come now, and I
will send you to Pharaoh.
The call is never just aboutyou.

(51:06):
Let me say it again.
The call is never, never justabout you.
The call is about us.
Tomorrow.
Right?
What are you going to do aboutthe call tomorrow?

(51:27):
When that person sets in frontof you, the God's place in front
of you.
Are you just going to give themwhat the world particular
design?
Are you going to spend time withthem?
Pray with them.
Jesus loves thee.
This is the mission.
Matthew 28, 19 to 28.
And we talk about this verse alot in our community remotection

(51:49):
class of church when we starttalking about discipleship.
Go ye therefore.
And teach all nations, baptizingthem in the name of the Father
and of the Son and the Holy HolyGhost, teaching them to observe
all things, whatsoever I havecommanded you.
And lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world.

(52:09):
See, it's all right there inthat verse.
They call that the GreatCommission.
He said that he would go with usalways, not sometimes, right?
He said, always, wherever youwent, even to the end of the
world.
But you gotta go first, right?
That's right.
Moses could have stood still.

(52:30):
Moses could have stayed rightthere at that burner bush and
never done another thing.
And not fulfilled the call ofhis life.
But we are empowered to bewitnesses according to Acts 1
and 8.
But ye shall receive power afterthe Holy Ghost has come upon
you, and ye shall be witnessesunto me, both in Jerusalem and

(52:53):
to all Judea and in Samaria andto all the othermost parts of
earth.
We have the power.
How many of us have told us,God, I can't do that?
God, I just don't have theability.
I don't, I just don't have thatpower.

(53:14):
We've said it hundreds of times.
But if we have been bought ofthe Christ, been born again, and
the baptism of the Holy Spiritvisits us, we have that power.
If you remember when the theapostles were in the upper room,

(53:36):
Terry and William God.
If you remember, they neverperformed no miracles whatsoever
before the death of Christ.
They never preached the word, they never did anything until
the empowerment of the HolySpirit dwelt inside of them.
And after that, they came outand preached the first thing
they did was preach the word ofGod under boldness because of

(53:58):
the powers of the Holy Spirit.
And what happened?
3,000 people were added in thebody of Christ.
So you do have the power becausethey were afraid.
If you remember in the Bible, the scriptures say that they
went and locked themselves in aroom.
They were scared to deathbecause the person they were
following had just beencrucified, and they were afraid

(54:19):
they were being missed.
But the calls of the HolySpirit, they recognized they had
the power of God in their lives, and they went to fulfill the
mission that Jesus Himself hadtold him to do when he was in
this earth.

(54:40):
The call is always outwardfocused.
Delivering, serving, building,and reaching.
When we say the call is alwaysoutward focused, it means that
God calls on our lives.

(55:09):
Or even just enjoying personalblessings.
It's always directed towardothers, it's directed toward us
to reach them, to serve them, tolove them, to heal them, to
proclaim, to forgive, and torepresent Christ beyond

(55:33):
ourselves.
If you didn't get anything elseout of this tonight, remember
this your call is not just foryou.
Your call is not just for you,but it's for that person that
sits beside you every day.

(56:11):
Your call is to do what thescripture says and to go.
It's to tell them about the loveof Jesus.
It's to be his hands and feet,it's to do what he's called you
to do in his in your way in yourmother's womb.
I don't know what your call istonight.

(56:32):
I don't know what God's callingyou to do.
But you know, God knows.

SPEAKER_05 (56:45):
Turn aside, seek, and find out what God does.

SPEAKER_06 (56:52):
Moses' story shows us that the call begins in
obscurity, but leads to destiny.
Your call, just like Moses, itbegins in obscurity.
It begins just being a ritual, just an ordinary person.

(57:15):
But guess what?
It leads to your destiny.
God is still calling peoplenamed.

SPEAKER_08 (57:22):
Amen.

SPEAKER_06 (57:24):
Not just prophets or pastors, but he's calling
teachers, brothers, students,cars, workers.

SPEAKER_05 (57:34):
Everyone has a burning bush for you to do in.
If you're just willing to turnaside, if you're just willing to
turn aside, God's got a call foryou.
Exodus chapter one wasn't just alist of names.

(57:58):
It was a list of calls.
Not just a list of names, but alist of calls.
And today, your name.
Everybody say my name.
My name is on his lips.

(58:21):
Amen.
Father in heaven, I honor and Iglorify you.
God, I speak to those that'slistening on the sound of my
voice tonight.

SPEAKER_06 (58:30):
God, their name is on your lips.
You're calling them.
Father, you're calling them to ahigher place in humanity.
Father Lord, you spoke to themthat you know what you want to
do.
Maybe, God, they're spirit.
Maybe they don't know how to goabout what you call them.
But God, I want to encouragethem to find you.

(58:50):
I want to encourage them to getin the world.
Father, and just turn aside.
Make a step towards you.
Father Lord, you said if we takethe first step, you can go the
rest of the never leave us orforsake us.

SPEAKER_05 (59:07):
But God, first, we've got to make a response.
God, first, we've got tosurrender it to you.
We've got to surrender ourselvesto you.

SPEAKER_06 (59:16):
God, that you can work out the mission that you
can place in our lives.
God, I just humbly come beforeyour phone.
God, I pray the blessings uponblessings upon each and every
one of us with the still of myvoice.
God, if there's one out theretonight that's not and say, God,
I pray that the power of yourspirit, Father, draw it.

(59:37):
God, they're all right.
Father, that one person that maybe losing, father that may be
thinking about taking their ownlife right now.
I speak to that person.
Yes.
I speak to that spirit.
That devil, they're trying todefeat them.
I speak to them right now in thename of Jesus.
I said, Devil, get away.
Jesus.

SPEAKER_05 (59:56):
God, I'm giving me a big.
Father, everything that has toheal and to feed your children.

SPEAKER_06 (01:00:05):
God against you in the name of Jesus.
By the blood that we shall countfor every healing of our body,
every disease.
I pray in the name of Jesus.
Father Lord, you're sick.
I'm glad you just praise you andhonor you.

SPEAKER_04 (01:00:26):
Amen.
I hope you have enjoyed that.
I know God really moved in thatservice the other night, and I
just felt his presence so much, and I just felt that message so
dear to my heart.
Like I said earlier, I don'tthink we really know how
important we are to the kingdom.
Once we can grasp a hold of thatand grasp out what the word said

(01:00:49):
and know that we are called.
We are called by God.
Amen.
He will do what he said he woulddo.
He speaks our name.
He's made us who we are.
We just need to be walking backup, calling the ads for us.
Amen.
I hope you enjoyed it, and untilnext time, if you join me again
