SPEAKER_00 (01:10):
Do you want your business to stand out online?
Today I'm sharing five quickways to use AI to improve your
Google Business Profile listing.
So you get noticed, earn morecalls, and book more
appointments.
Hello and welcome back to theClinic Marketing Podcast.

(01:30):
I'm your host, Darcy Sullivanfrom Propel Marketing and
Design.
Two of the most popular topicson the show are AI and your
Google Business Profile listing.
And today we're combining them.
Your Google Business ProfileListing, which used to be called
Google My Business, controlsyour presence in Google Maps.

(01:53):
And the show notes all includelinks to beginner-friendly
episodes and step-by-stepresources for setting up and
improving your listing.
Now, before we dive in, a quickmindset check.
AI is an assistant, notautopilot.
It helps you draft and speed uptasks you should already be

(02:16):
doing.
It's not to replace you or yourjudgment.
Also, make sure that the contentreflects your clinic's voice and
tone and review everythingbefore publishing.
All right, let's get into thesefive hacks.
Hack number one, refresh yourbusiness description.

(02:40):
Most clinics don't use the fullnumber of characters that are
allowed in your Google BusinessProfile listing for your
business description.
This is such a waste of realestate.
Here's a prompt you can use tohelp improve your Google
Business Profile listing.
Now, before I give you theprompt, I should mention that

(03:03):
you can use your AI tool ofchoice when it comes to helping
you write and tackle the hackswe're covering today.
You can use ChatGPT, you can useGrok, you can use Claude, you
can use whatever you feelcomfortable with.
And I will also include in theshow notes the other episodes

(03:27):
that we did on AI tools.
All right.
So back to your description, your Google Business Profile
Business Description.
Here is a prompt you can use.
And by the way, if you want tosee the words for these prompts,
so you can easily copy and pastethem, be sure to visit the show
notes slash blog post associatedwith this episode where you can

(03:52):
find those and just copy andpaste them.
So that prompt for thedescription would be rewrite our
Google Business Profiledescription for a clinic, type,
name your clinic in city orarea.
We help name your ideal patientswith name the three to five top

(04:14):
conditions or services that youoffer.
Then direct it with the tone.
Maybe you want friendly andtrustworthy, plain English, and
keep it between 700 to 750characters.
Make sure you don't offer anyguarantees and that it's
HIPAA-safe.
You can paste your currentdescription in or include a
short paragraph from yourwebsite so that AI matches your

(04:38):
style.
Huck number two, tighten up yourservices.
So in Google Business ProfileListing, you have categories.
Under your categories, youshould have at least one service
associated with thosecategories, with each category.
So for every single category youhave, you need to have at least

(05:01):
one service attached to it.
In an example, like achiropractor, they might have
their primary category aschiropractor, and then services,
they might have chiropracticadjustment as a service, they
might have dry needling as aservice, they might have sports

(05:23):
chiropractic care as a service, they might have sports
rehabilitation as a service,etc.
Now, in the example of achiropractor, if they also have
a physical therapist on staff, asecondary category might be
physical therapist, to which aservice related to physical

(05:46):
therapist would be physicaltherapy.
So once you have identified yourcategories and your services,
then you can go to AI and saycreate a two to three sentence
service description for listyour services at name of clinic
in name of location or city.

(06:07):
Use patient-friendly language, avoid medical jargon, no
guarantees, and make it HIPAAsafe.
If you sell products, you can dothe same thing for the products
that you have listed in yourGoogle Business Profile listing.
Although most listeners herewill probably just want to focus
on services.
On to hack number three.

(06:28):
Hack number three, seed your QAwith real questions.
So under your QA, you can ask aquestion and answer it as the
business.
This helps patients before theydecide to book an appointment
with you.
You can think of these like yourmost frequently asked questions.

(06:49):
I also like to include a couplekey QAs related to parking or
entrance details to reduceconfusion, first-time visitor
expectations, what to bring, dothey need to show up early, what
to wear, how long does it take?
And then insurance and paymentbasics, what you accept, how to

(07:09):
verify, etc.
Now, at the time that I'mrecording this, you cannot
include a URL in the responsesin the QA.
So you can't, you can use thewords, visit our website for
more details, but you cannotinclude a URL, for instance, to

(07:30):
your insurance page.
Here would be a prompt you coulduse for this.
Based on these frequently askedquestions, which you can copy
and paste from your FAQ page orfrom anywhere that you have them
just listening to your patients, write six to eight Google
Business QAs for name a type ofclinic in location, and

(07:56):
questions should match howpatients ask them.
Answers should be two to foursentences in plain English,
HIPAA safe, no guarantees.
Again, if you want these exactprompts, please, please, please
visit the URL associated withthis episode where you can find
those and just copy and pastethem.
On to hack number four.

(08:18):
Hack number four, build a reviewreply library that your team can
use.
So skim through your recentreviews and group them by theme.
Theme can be an injury.
Again, if you're a chiropractor,maybe it's back pain, prenatal
care, sports injuries, or youcan group them by specific

(08:39):
services.
Then generate a ready-to-usereply template and save them in
a shared Google Doc so any ofyour team members can respond to
your reviews.
And it sounds a lot better thanthanks, we're here for your
health journey.
So the prompt would be somethinglike we are a type of clinic in

(09:01):
name of location, we commonlyreceive reviews about, and then
into your theme, provide 20short, warm, professional review
reply templates that mirror thepatient's language without
confirming treatment details, make sure their HIPAA is safe.

(09:21):
This allows you to personalizeyour responses.
And it beats the generic again, thanks for your review while
staying efficient.
You can spin up Google Postideas and draft them in minutes.
We've got a couple episodes thathave been dedicated to Google

(09:44):
Post and blog posts as well.
I will make sure that those areincluded in the show notes.
To keep your listing fresh, youwant to make sure that you are
doing Google Post.
Now these act slightly differentthan your traditional social
media post, which is why I'llinclude those additional
resources in the show notes.

(10:06):
But here are some things toconsider.
What you can do is keep yourlisting fresh with one post per
week.
They can be a quick tip, you canuse a service spotlight, it can
be a seasonal reminder, it canbe an event or an offer, it can
be an FAQ, or as we highlightedin one of our episodes, you can
almost treat it like a free adfrom Google.

And here's your prompt (10:29):
write a Google Business Profile post
about and give it an idea ofyour topic or service for insert
your ideal patients in name oflocation.
Include one practical tip, oneplain English benefit, and a
soft call to action.

(10:50):
No emojis, no hype, keep itHIPAA safe.
Again, in the show notes, youwill find additional episodes
and blogs where we go deep intothis.
Now, that's simple, right?
I think all of what we talkedabout today is pretty simple,
but I do want to give you somequick compliance reminders so

(11:11):
that you don't get flagged.
One, don't list services youdon't actually offer or fake
locations.
Now, when it comes to yourservices, services are services.
They're not conditions.
So you're not gonna list ahundred different services.
Example, again, I'll give thechiropractor one.
You're not gonna listchiropractic care for back pain,

(11:33):
chiropractic care for neck pain, chiropractic care for elbow
pain.
You're not gonna have a hundreddifferent services.
So list services you actuallyoffer.
Don't keyword stuff yourbusiness name, use your real
business name, don't makemedical guarantees or before or
after promises, don't copy yourcompetitors, use your facts and

(11:58):
your voice, and of course, keepeverything HIPAA-safe.
So, to recap, let's go throughthe five AI hacks to improve
your Google Business Profilelisting.
One, you can use it to improveyour business description, use
the full currently offering 750characters in patient-friendly

(12:21):
language, use it for servicedescriptions, keeping them
short, clear, concise, and insentence format.
You can use it for QA seeds, asking real questions and giving
precise answers.
You can use it to create areview library.
And number five, you can use itto come up with post ideas and

(12:44):
drafts.
Thanks for listening to thisepisode of the Clinic Marketing
Podcast.
If it helped, share it with aclinic owner who needs an easier
way to keep their GoogleBusiness Profile fresh.
Want a pro to review yourlisting?
You can always book a GoogleBusiness Profile audit.
I'll link that in the show notesalong with the prompts and

(13:08):
resources.
