When Virgin publishing purchased WH Allen, the hardcover books were losing money. In June, 1988 it was decided to stop publishing cloth bound Dr. Who books. The final novel, "The Smugglers," was limited to 1000 copies. That makes it extremely hard to find. The other titles were random. 153 hardcovers were published from 1974-1988 including reprints. Owning a whole set is a lofty goal. I am missing 4 titles as of now. Loch Ness...
