She stays active in the community serving and one of her favorite annual dental events is the Florida Mission of Mercy (FLA-MOM). It is the state’s largest charitable dental clinic providing dental treatment at no cost to its patients. Her volunteer days started in her early days as a dental student. She led a dental mission trip to her home country bringing a group of her classmates to provide free dental care to the residents of Palin, Guatemala. She remains active in organized dentistry and is currently serving as the President of the Academy of General Dentists, the Secretary for the West Coast District Dental Association and as a board member for the FDA Foundation.
