Greetings, and welcome to The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week, the podcast companion to The End, the weekly newsletter that shines a light back on audio fiction shows when they've reached the finale of a season or the conclusion of the series. I am your host and the curator of The End, Evo Terra.

Let’s get into it, shall we?

Last Week

The most recent issue of The End - the 25th - highlighted five shows in the recently renamed Season Finales & Finished Series section, and two of them wrapped last week:

  • The Night Post is a dramatized horror tale from Station 103 that posted the finale of their 3rd season last week. There are 45 episodes. Expect a listening time of just under 16 hours to get caught up before their fourth season drops in August.

  • Morbid Forest is a narrated horror tale from Shawn Moreau and Naomi Richards that also posted the finale of its 3rd season last week. There are currently 41 episodes, and it will take you a bit over 18 hours to get all of the story so far before season four starts in September.

This Week

With every issue, I made two personal recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love.

The first is from the BBC so you know the audio is great. Survivors of the satanic panic in the 80s will have feelings too for Restart, a dramatized thriller from BBC Sounds. Here’s the trailer:

Restart is fully complete with 8 episodes and has a listening time of just over four and a half hours.

Another exceptionally well-acted and produced show that will be of particular interest to podcasters and/or cryptid hunters is Blackwood, a dramatized horror series from Skylark | Wondery. Here’s the trailer:

Blackwood is fully complete with 6 episodes and has a listening time of just over 2 and a half hours

Next Week

The latest issue of The End lists two audio fiction shows returning with new seasons coming soon, and one of them starts next week.

And that’s all for this episode of The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week. For the other audio fiction shows featured, highlighted, and coming soon that were included in the 25th issue of The End, including links to listen to the shows mentioned in this episode, please visit

I’m Evo Terra, thanks for listening.
